My 3rd generation apple TV keeps disconnecting like 2 minutes into a movie I'm mirroring. It's so annoying! I have restarted our wifi and it still is the same. What could be the issue here?

Have you even tried the troubleshooting steps provided?
If you have not, prove me wrong.
Physically connect the ATV via Ethernet.
Stream content from a computer via HomeSharing or from one of the Apps on the ATV. Does the stuttering and buffering continue?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

HT200197 Home Sharing on Apple TV keeps disconnecting

My apple tv just recently stopped recognizing that my home sharing is turned on. I can watch a full movie from my iTunes, but when it finishes, it goes to the home menu and when i go to the Computer app, it says to turn on Home Sharing. Home Sharing is turned "ON" on my itunes on my computer, so i'm not sure why Apple TV doesn't recognize it, even when it clearly recoginized it as turned on 2 hours prior.
This started happening after i updated the Mavericks OS to the version 10.9.2 and itunes to version 11.1.5. The only fix i have is to turn "off" home sharing in iTunes then to turn it back "on." This seems to fix it in the meantime, but after another movie, it happens all over again.
Does anyone else have this issue? It's pretty annoying to have to keep turning off then back on Home Sharing on my itunes.

I've recently had BT infinity2 installed and that was a joke! 2 engineer visits later and I'm still not seeing speeds above the top end of infinty1, I monitored the line very closely for the first few weeks and noticed a lot of sudden drop outs, got to a point were bt claimed they couldn't do any more and offered a deadlock however that's no good to me as it's quite rural here and there is no other provider!
Not that this would effect the ATV but I have had concerns over the quialty of the hub!!
I might call Bt and get there tech people to look into the possibility of it glitching ?
I know they can look at fault logs and see if it shows up anything?
Between us we have 3 bt hub set ups with Apple TV and all are encountering the same issue?
A bit coincidental?

Apple watch keeps disconnecting headphones

Ok, so 2 days now with multiple forgetting and repairing to see if it would solve the problem but the watch keeps dropping my LG bluetooth headphones.
I keep getting searching for devise to connect too on my headphones, about every couple of minutes. obviously I'm within range despite what it's doing cause the watch is on my wrist and the headphones are on my head, so no more than 3 feet away at any given time.
Is anyone else having this issue and if so how did you solve it? I'm beginning to think this thing is just broken.

I just finished chatting with an apple rep, basically none of the features that were advertised that I wanted are working currently.
the Wifi sync is pretty much a broken feature, if it's working for you, great, but they are no longer pushing that as it doesn't work. when it does they said it's very limited. Bluetooth is spotty to non existent depending on your headphones. no wireless music to watch to headphones at all.
So I returned it.
As always Apples support staff and ease of returning were top notch!
Hoping Rev. 2 is much better!

My wifi keeps disconnecting when I'm on the internet.

Recent Mac convert, bought a Macbook Pro. The internet connection is quite slow and disconnects at least once every ten minutes. My old laptop still works fine and I'm now back using it when I need to use the internet for a prolonged period which is pretty annoying. There doesn't seem to be a problem with my router. At the minute I'm turning my wifi off and back on to solve the problem. Is the problem something to do with security settings? My connection is WPA. Should it be WPA2?? Have read various things online about how to fix this but they all seem to say different things.

Even though it is geared towards applications purchased from the App Store and you're experiencing the issue with all apps, most of the steps would still be applicable to your situation. I would also take a look at the troubleshooting assistant to see if that helps:

Home Sharing on Apple TV keeps cutting when playing my music

I've got my Apple Tv connected to my Sony Bravia via HDMI.
It is then connected to my wireless router.
I've turned on home sharing and play my music via the APTV, however after say 30 mins of playing music, it just stops. I go to the home page of APTV and my 'library' is missing under computer.
Only way I can fix is to go to the laptop itunes and turn off home sharing and then turn on again.
I've only had this a week and its very frustrating!!
Sometimes it lasts more than an hour before cuts out.
Ive got no problem with accessing internet etc, so doesnt appear that connection is stopping.
Any advice greatly appreciated!!!

This problem is driving everyone nuts. I have tried everything. I have fixed all the IP addresses on my wifi network, uninstalled, reinstalled iTunes, hard reset the ATV, check all the port settings, turned QoS on the router on and off...at the end of the day, the only thing that makes the homeshare appear is turning the ATV off and on. And when it cuts out again half an hour later, you have to do the same thing all over again....
As for the suggestion for some - presumably - Apple support people that its a problem with third party routers, that is just baloney. My router maintains internet and wifi connectivity perfectly. Buy an Apple router?? No thanks, not after this ATV fiasco.
On top of this, it doesn't play AVI or other normal movie formats so everything has to be transcoded to MP4. And I need to have iTunes open on my PC for the homeshare to get picked up (or rather for it to get intermittently picked up).
This is the biggest piece of junk I have bought recently. Think I'll use it as a paperweight. No more Apple for me.

Apple widgets keep appearing when installing new downloaded widgets

hi,
i do not use apple widgets at all. i dont need to know the weather, i dont like skying and i prefer to search google on safari. I always hide them, with the dashboard manager.
everything is fine until i have to add a new widget: after it is installed, the apple widgets are there again, and i have to hide them all over.
Is this a bug? is my system wrong? is there anyway to keep this annoyance from happening?

i remember i had the developer mode on in my dashboard.
"defaults write com.apple.dashboard devmode YES"
i tried everything again, downloaded istat nano again with the developer mode off, and now things dont go back to default. I guess it was that "mod" what was giving me trouble.

My Ipod Touch keeps disconnecting when I try to sync w/ transferring purchases

My cables are all good, I had no issues syncing my Ipad2, but as soon as I went to do my Ipod Touch, it keeps saying that it isn't connecting, then it will connect and start syncing again, then back to being disconnected. I have already reset it twice, but it still hasn't pulled in most of my music...HELP

There is probably something wrong with the cable that connects it with your computer. Try getting a new one?

Why does my iphone 5c keep disconnecting when charging in my VW polo?

I recently bought and iphone 5c, my car has an MDI port so i can play my music through the head unit and also charge the phone. this worked perfectly fine with my old iphone 4 and appears to work with my friends iphone 5's. When mine is plugged in it disconnects and reconnects every 25 seconds or so.
I don't think it's the car or the wire itself as it seems to work fine with other iphones. Any ideas?

I have the official VW iphone 5 adaptor. I have tried 3rd party 30pin to lightning adaptors to put on the end of my old iphone 4 mdi cable but they only charged the phone. they weren't compatable with audio.
