Apple TV, monitor use and lag time with mouse and keyboard

I purchased an Apple TV so that I could use one monitor to switch between my Mac Mini and my MacbookPro. The monitor is hardwired to the Mini, but the MacbookPro uses airplay. My wireless mouse and keyboard lag with this setup. Is there a way to fix this?

You can download the setup manual and software that you need.
Look on the bottom of the AirPort Extreme for the Model Number. It's A....... something.

You can not use the PCI-6013 board with LabVIEW Real-Time.
We offer three platforms for LabVIEW Real-time. PXI embedded controllers, 7030 data-acquisition plug-in boards (7030/xxxx) and FieldPoint. For more information on these options go to www.ni.com/products and then choose Real-Time from the menu on the left. There are PCI versions of the 7030 boards. Each 7030 board has a data-acquistion board attached to it (6030E, 6040E or 6533). When you embed a LabVIEW Real-Time program on the 7030 you will be able to access the daughter board. You can not access other boards from the embedded program. If you want to use several daq cards in your real-time system I would recommend a PXI chassi and PXI daq boards.

Well, I read that already, but I am trying to start up my Mac mini(new purchase) and I cannot get to all the system preferences etc since I cannot get past the startup screens. The site also mentioned waiting to turn on the keyboard until a language was requested. Neither language screen worked. I feel as though I'm just about ready to throw in the towel.

I have an Apple ID that uses a gmail address, which i used to create an iCloud email account. However, I cannot seem to replace my gmail Apple ID with the iCloud address. Is it possible to separate the iCloud email from the gmail address, and make it my only Apple ID i.e. can i scrap the gmail ID and only use my iCloud username as my ID?

I'm afraid you can't do this. You can change the ID to another non-Apple address, but you can't make your @icloud.com address the ID.

Do I have to use LabVIEW Real Time with a reflective memory node?

For reference with an external data system that will be temporarily installed at a customer's site, they have asked that I tie into their data network to record data from their control system. They apparently use a reflective memory network for data sharing. I have no prior experience with reflective memory, but all references to it involve real time systems. I do not need absolute determinism to acquire this data, I can be late by several milliseconds with no problem. Do I still need to use LabVIEW Real Time to interface with the PXI reflective memory node?

I have worked with that card briefly before. It has a Visa based driver and RT isn't required. However, I haven't worked with the card on a non-rt system and am not sure if there any issues to be aware of.
A lot of work has gone into integrating support for the card into Veristand, it may save you enough development time to use at an RT-Veristand system to be worth the extra cost.

My 4th generation iPod touch is super slow and sometimes i have to click the home button multiple times before anything happens. Its up to date and is a 32 gb but barely half way full. My friends have the same kind as i do, and they have the same problem. Mine is a little over a year old and i'm VERY disappointed in something that i spent over $300 for. What am i supposed to do to make this peice of crap work like it's supposed to? I paid a lot of money for it and i expect it to work but the only thing i've heard so far is "turn it on and off." Yeah... cause that solves everything. Does anyone know how to help me?

Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
Also, sometimes restoring the iPod helps.

When I closedown Firefox it does not ask me if a want to "save and close" my tabs. This is something that I use all the time with the older version. Is it still possible to do that?

In the old version of Firefox I could save all my open tabs when I shutdown Firefox but now with the new version it does not give me that option to save the tabs before closing Firefox.

You can set the warn prefs on the about:config page to true via the right-click context menu or toggle with a double left-click.

this may be a little off topic but basicly what I'm trying to do is
create a WLE (ie: Essentially Tux ) server that can be interrupted
say every 10 seconds and forced to perform some action. I don't
want to use a second server since it just adds extra dependencies
and failover issues.
On Solaris I appear to be able to use the Usignal and simply
register for SIGALRM and start a regular alarm.
NT doesn't support alarms and as far as I can tell doesn't lend
itself to event loops in console apps.
Is there a standard way that I can create a multi shot timer
in Tux ( on NT and Solaris ).

How about using Tuxedo /Q and enqueueing a message with dequeue time delay of
10 seconds.
Then use a TMQFORWARD server to forward the request to ur server.
As this is a Tuxedo based solution, should work everywhere (HP, Sun, etc...)

I just whipped up a little sleep timer for iTunes on request, and wanted to make it available to anyone who was looking for a way to listen to iTunes for a set amount of time and then have it paused (instead of having to make a playlist of a particular length).

I'm having a similar issue: just redeemed a gift card for $25. I can see it in the upper right corner. Yet when I select a song to download, I am (again) asked to sign in and select a credit card to use. I don't want to use a credit card, I want to use the $25 card. This hasn't happened to me before now. If I click the 'redeem gift card' option in the credit card screen, it correctly says that that card has already been redeemed.

We have 3 iphones in the family and we all use the same Apple ID. We're now getting cross texts and such, should we each set up a separate User ID? Will that mess up Itunes if we all use 1 computer to sync to? Thanks

I think I'm getting odd use, possible hacking and cant find a way to monitor the activity.

Not any that I have found to directly add them. I use GoLive to add keywords, etc. and post to my server.

Using JRockit Real Time with Large Heap

I want to know if JRockit Real Time can work with extremely large heap, e.g. 100G, to provide effective deterministic GC, before proceeding with evaluation for my application.

Hi Wing,
In general, extremely large heaps can make all GCs slower. This is true for Deterministic GC as well. However, it is very application dependent. It is above our standard recommendation, but you can download JRockit Real Time and give it a try.

Instead of using a second finger to press the umlaut while holding down the o key try this:
Tap and hold on the o until you see the alternate choices then slide your finger up to the umlaut.
