I don't have Apple TV, but are you able to log out of your account on it and then log back in with the new password so as to 'refresh' the account on it ?

  • Apple tv not accepting iTunes password

After update Apple tv worked. A day later it doesn't accept my iTunes password all of sudden. It won't log in.

    It's a straightforward port-forwarding issue.
You need to forward ports to the internal ip address of your apple tv as follows:
    TCP 123
    TCP 3689
    UDP 5353
    TCP 80
    TCP 4343
    TCP 53

  • Apple is not accepting my password

Apple is not accepting my password when entered although it does not say it is incorrect and reverts back to before password was entered or the application crashes.
Whenever I enter into an application it asks for my username and password. When I enter this it simply crashes and when I go back into it it just repeats this. Also when I go to try and update an app it asks for my password, I enter it, it accepts the password but then it simply does nothing at all. On top of this whenever I go to purchase something it asks for my password which I enter and the same popup box keeps coming up, if I enter it incorrectly it says that the password entered is incorrect so I know that I am entering the correct one.
    Please help,
Thanks in advance for any suggestions in relation to the solution of this problem.

Try to sign in on id.apple.com .  See if you can log in there.  If you cannot, that is where you can reset the password.  Remember, the passwords are cAse SenSitive.

  • TS3988 My Apple TV will not accept my password and says that terms in the iCloud have change.....I can not photostream anymore...help....!

    Any suggestions????

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.
If when you choose restore you get a message that the device cannot be found, download the file below
Apple TV Software Restore 5.1.1 (2nd generation)
Apple TV Software Restore 5.1.1 (3rd generation)
Then hold down the option key while choosing restore and select the downloaded file when prompted.

  • I cannot turn on my ipod touch. the apple logo appears but does nothing after and when connected to the computer, it is nor recognize. what's the solution for this?

how to fix ipod touch if it hungs/ does not turn on and stays only on the apple logo when you press/hold the keys home and sleep/wake. and when connected to the computer, it does not appear in the itunes that the ipod is connected or simply the computer does not recognize the device. i barely need you help guys! please...

I found this possible solution on another support thread, so I tried it.
    turn off iPod
hold Sleep and Home buttons to start it.
When Apple appears, let go of Sleep button, but keep holding Home button.
When screen goes blank, let go of Home button.
Connect cable and check iTunes to see if it has conencted.
This did not work for me.
I then turned off the iPod, restarted the Mac, and restarted the iPod normally.
I connected them with the cable, and it works like normal.  :-)

  • TS3988 iCloud will not accept any passwords after upgrading OS. 2 days of trying every password I have ever used, AND changing Apple ID and iTunes ID, still nothing. Can't backup on iCloud anymore.

How can I use iCloud again after upgrading OS to Mountain Lion?  2 days of trying every password I have ever used, AND changing Apple ID and iTunes ID, still nothing. Can't backup on iCloud anymore.

Apple ID's can be used for anything, a single ID can be used for all your accounts (ie iCloud, iTunes, MAS, Apple community etc), ideally this would be the way forward. So far as iTunes goes you need to continue to use the same ID as you have always used or you will lose access to your previous purchases and your iTunes match subscription.
If you are using a second ID for iCloud, you can continue to do so or use the ID you use for iTunes, but if you choose the later you will need to move all your calendar, contact etc data to the account using the ID you use for iTunes.
When (if) you change which account you use you would delete the account on an iOS device and log back in with the correct details, on a mac you would sign out in the iCloud system preference pane.

  • Problem with apple not accepting my password after changing it three times as per there request

does this mean everything is ok with password an apple id
hello anyone here???? pls advise i've never done this before.

I'm not sure what you are doing wrong when you do a firmware update, but the last update, 2.2.1, had nothing to do with WiFi. Not being able to even see your network, encryption on or off, is indicative of a hardware problem with your touch. Take the Apple technician's suggestion and return the iPod.
While you are waiting for a replacement, do yourself a favor and cleanup your MacBook. Totally remove iTunes (see this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1224) and download and install the latest version (8.1).
Take a look at your router setup. What type of encryption are you using? Have you updated your firmware to the latest version? If your router supports it, change your encryption to WPA/WPA2-personnel editions. If you are stuck with WEP, change the encryption to 128 bit and record the hex key generated with your password. When you log on, make sure you tell your touch the encryption being used and, if using WEP, input the hex key. With WPA/WPA2 you can use the password you selected.
Also when you are looking into your router, make sure the DHCP is on and MAC address filtering is off.

  • I am getting the spinning ball and a slowdown on my g5 with tiger. On top of that I have had three external acomdata harddrives fail in the last 24 hours. They will not even spin up after a single connection to the computer. Two others work fine

I am getting a spinning ball on my G5 with tiger and a slow down and then it seems to return to normal operation. I also have had three acomdata external harddrives fail after sometimes a single startup within the last day. They will not even spinup. Two other externals work just fine.

At this point I think you should get Applejack...
    http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15667/applejack
After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
    applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 6 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
    Correct any Disk problems.
    Repair Permissions.
    Clear out Cache Files.
    Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
    Trash old Log files.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files! :-)
Disconnect the USB cable from any Uninterruptible Power Supply so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.
    Any change?

  • ITunes store does not accept my Password anymore.

ITunes store does not accept my Password anymore.

I'm still having the same problem ... 6 months after your original post!  I've just had to reset my pw 2 days in a row, and I've been through so many resets over the past 6 months that I'm running out of ideas for passwords that I'll have a reasonable chance of remembering.  But I also always make a careful note of my important passwords, and after the 1st "password error" message, I check my list and enter the password very slowly and carefully.  So, I think I'm pretty safe in claiming that neither entering the wrong password nor making a typo is the problem!
Oddly, though, I could usually cancel the password-reset process, then go right to the the iTunes Store, where my password would work fine, allowing me to open and view all my account details.
Several months ago, I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with Tech Support trying to get this fixed. He was great and we thought he'd found the problem with my account.  (When I originally set up my iTunes account 6 years ago, I used a different email address than I used when I set up my new Mac last year, and that seemed to be causing some sort of conflict within my account.  Hard to imagine someone might change email addresses sometime over a 6-year period, right?  But apparently, the software designers didn't cover that possibility with one of their recent updates of the master system for customers' accounts -- that's the Tech Rep's surmise, not mine.)
Everything seemed to work fine for a few weeks, but then the problem started occurring again ... over and over and over ...

Apple ID has my old email address. It will not allow me to change the address and will not accept my password or ID questions.   I recently upgraded to OSX Yosemite 10.10.1.  I also have an Apple ID that works with iTunes and would like to keep it as my primary.

To change the iCloud ID on your devices you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with your current ID.
If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, you will have to temporarily recreate it in order to delete the existing account.  To do this, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • HT201210 After updating iPhone 4S to iOS 7, the lock screen will not accept my password.

After updating my iPhone 4S to iOS 7, the lock screen will not accept my password and I am locked out of my phone. Anyone else seeing this? What can I do to fix this?

    Hello kennyred,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
If you have chosen to encrypt your backup, it will contain the passcode. Disable backup encryption before restoring from backup. Learn more about iOS backups in iTunes.
When the backup and sync is complete, select Restore from Backup and choose the most recent backup of your device.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

I have a new desktop and re-installed my identity from my airtime back up and on the log in page my picture comes up with my usual password hint, but it is not accepting my password and I do not have the option to reset using my apple id - that particular function is in grey and cannot be clicked on

Depending on what kind of computer you have, you're gonna need to put that backup in the appropriate folder or itunes is not gonna be able to see it for you to use.
