Apple TV Overcoming Touch iPod
I have just purchased a ATV for my wife and I, but when I set it up and got itunes all synced I found that my movies that I had in itunes will no longer sync to my iPod touch? They all seem to synch fine to the ATV and play just fine even with my smaller iPod settings. My question is there a set setting that I need to change or something? I can't seem to figure it out, Please some one help me!!!!!

What exactly do you mean by won't sync. Has syncing with the iPod stopped altogether or is it certain content that won't sync and if so what error messages do you get.

Authorize her new computer with your Apple ID in iTunes (iTunes menu>Store>Authorize this Computer)
Check "Share my Library on my Local Network" in iTunes Preferences in your and her computer
Sign in Home Sharing of her iTunes with your Apple ID.
Copy all the Music she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Copy all the apps she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Export all playlist as xml files from the old computer to the new one.(right click on the playlist to export and "File>Library>Import Playlist to Import)
Sync her iPhone 4S with all content she wants from her new computer (all data from the old computer will be deleted)
Are you sharing Contacts or other data from iCloud?
Be careful or ask for help about moving from iCloud account to another one. -
My daughter shares my apple id on her ipod touch. i recently got an i pad and now i'm getting all of her instant messages and face time calls. Is there a way to change her contact information for those two areas so i don't get them on my i pad but keep the same apple id for purchases? Thank you

Yes, otherwise you will have to pay for those apps again. If an app is purchased by one Apple ID, he/she will be able to redownload it again for no cost (note: this does apply to songs, but NOT to movies).

sorry if this is a bit dragged out post, but i'll limit it to as short as possible.
bought my daughter an ipod touch for last christmas which has always been inside a hard case and never been outside and is like new when out of case(for cleaning).
last month or so it developed a small prob with sound not playing on some tracks(posted in here also), i sent it back to apple for repair, they sent it back saying it was software issue and they updated software accordingly, within days of recieving it back it started to develop another problem with the screen flickering on and off and the totally stopped responding to touch,called apple again to inform them of this and they asked for it back,sent it back again(only using their package service & UPS courier) i recieved it back a few days later with a very crude note stating they will not be repairing it because it has been subject to abuse/neglect in the form of liquid damage. no explaination as to what has been damaged or even cost of repair. i know for a fact 100% this has not been near water or any liquid, i have asked apple for an explaination and sent them 3 letters of complaint which they do not answer,i have now contacted consumer direct uk, they are advising small claims action.
anyone have similar problem or any advice they can offer? looking on consumeraffairs.com this seems to be a regular tactic of appleIf the water sensor has been triggered, Apple will refuse warranty service. You state that the iPod has never been exposed to moisture. I'm not saying that you would not tell the truth, but many people claim that a unit hasn't been abused only to find/admit later that it has, so your protestations will probably be in vain. Apple will point to the sensor being triggered as hard evidence that it has indeed come in contact with moisture. Heck, unless you've had the unit in your possession 24/7 since you got it, you can't even with certainty say that it hasn't; many children have, for instance, inadvertently and sometimes unknowingly had a spill in a backpack that damaged some electronic device.
As others have suggested, you can try taking the unit to an Apple Store and discussing the issue. You can also call the Apple tech support line and asking to speak with a customer service representative. But I would guess that neither route will be of any use; Apple sees the moisture sensor triggered and that ends the matter for them.

is there a way if apple can reset my ipod touch 2nd gen MC model back to 3.1.3? because iOS 4.2.1 is slow on my ipod and i cant deal with also i cannot afford a new ipod at the moment. also 3.1.3 was my default iOS when i first activated my ipod touch. I bought it in December in 2009

This will not work..
A restore will always install the latest available software.
Again, there is NO legit way to go back at all. -
My ipod touch 4th generation's audio jack is no longer making a connection with my headphones, i dont think my ipod is under warranty and therefor would i be able to pay apple to fix my ipod.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.

After Stopping it and Restarting and it is still not reconizing your device Then start uninstalling
Start with: Itunes, Quicktime, Bonjour, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device.
I had an issue uninstalling Apple Software Update, and was unable to get it off my computer.
But after all that download and reinstall itunes.
After doing all that i was able to get mine to show up in itunes

Got two apple ids on an ipod touch. One child shared account with other sibling. Has now set up own apple id and wants that one to be default id. Every time goes to apple id, shared one comes up. How do we change the settings so that new id is the default?
Without knowing what you are doing when the other ID pops up:
CHANGE ID
The ID is used in the following locations and y have to change them.
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
Settings>iCloud
and Settings>iTunes and App store
You have to sign out of ID (for iCloud you delete the iCloud account from the iPod) and sign in with other ID.
Note:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
If the iPod has iOS 7 then you have the enter the password for Apple ID presently sign in Settings>iCloud.
Also, a Restriction can be set (Settings>General>Restrictions) the prevents changing accounts -
so apple just released its iphone 5 c and iphone 5s but will apple be releasing an ipod touch 6th generation this yr??
Apple has not said anything about that so no one on here would now. All we can do is wait and see.
