Apple TV Picture displays very small on Sony LCD TV.

When I first installed my Apple TV everything was fine. It filled the entire TV screen. The update installed and all seemed fine. The second time I turned on Apple TV the picture is very small on the screen. It appears to be some kind of under scan issue.

There is a "wide" button on the TV remote that allows the zoom range to be set. After selecting another zoom level everything seemed fine again.

Published Concept page displays very small = Zoom is 100%

I can't seem to make the concept page display in full size in my browser - the only tips I can see advice on adjusting the zoom, which has been tested and does not resolve.
It's only the concept page in my published player output is far too small - the menu structure displays fine. We can also open Try It mode (etc) and that works fine. It's just the concept displaying very small where it should take the whole screen.
- Zoom is at 100% (and changing up or down does not help).
- 96 DPI in screen settings.
We are using IE 7.
Has anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve? Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

The only reasons I can think of would be the ones you've already checked: zoom percentage and DPI. I would suggest logging a support ticket in My Oracle Support if you have not already done so. The edited picture becomes very small and I can't change it.

I edited a photo in Elements 11 and that went good. When I finished with the editing I saved it however when I checked it later it was so small and I couldn't keep it at the larger size. When I edited it I zoomed it larger for working on it and it goes larger if I zoom in but after it is saved it is small again.

O.K. I have the picture with the bear and it has the 1824 pixels and then I go to the other picture with the two people in it. I cut the people out of that picture and then I clicked on copy and then I go back to the picture of the bear and then I click paste. The two people appear on the picture with the bear. I then make them the size that I want and also position them where I want them. I then went to the eraser and erased out the background that I did not want in the picture. I did zoom in to make the picture larger when I was erasing the background and then when I was finished I zoomed back out. I saved the picture and then that was when it became about half the size of the original picture and the pixels changed for the width from the 1824 to 2552 but I was left with this very small photo.
Maybe it is the picture that I am trying to do this with or maybe it is me I have no idea.

what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see when you launch iPhoto to open your library?
what fixes have you tried before coming here?
where is you library located?
how long has this been occuring?
did you apple any updates or upgrades just prior?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

N8 picture message very small

When I receive a picture message the picture is so small that I can barely see it. Will reinstalling the software fix this or does anybody out here have a fix. It is not a setting. Also the zoom will not make at any bigger. I think it should take up the whole window when zoomed in. This is for my N8. Help

Anyone have any udpates on this? I'm having the same problem...when I call t-mobile, they say they don't have any settings they can send me and they say that I need to contact Nokia. The only other info i can find on these boards is regarding a 3rd party app you install on your phone, but that doesn't seem like the most reasonable workaround for this issue.
To date, has anyone out there received the proper mms settings for N8 on tmobile??? There's got to be a way to receive pics larger than thumbnails without having to install a 3rd party app/certificate.

Apple 23" Cinema Display - very odd behavior, please help.

After being away for the weekend I powered up my G5 and was horrified to find that the monitor was not powering up. After searching through the Apple support website on another computer, I unplugged everything that was plugged into the back of the monitor, and I also unplugged the USB and firewire cables going from the monitor to the G5. And guess what? The monitor came on! When I tried powering down, plugging everything back in again, and powering up, the monitor once again would not power up.
What gives? I didn't make any changes to any of the settings before I left for the weekend. And what's even weirder is that the LED light goes off when the monitor comes on and then comes back on when I shut everything down.
Do I have some bad cables or something?

I can suggest trying your troubleshooting one more time, only this time, attach your external connections one at a time, testing with each new connection. If one of the peripheral connections is the culprit, you should find it in this manner.
Consider the possibility that a connection was jiggled loose in the reattachment process........Check that the power brick connection is secure.
USB and Firewire are hot swappable, so, powering down should not be necessary to make the connections.
The LED shutting off during display operation is normal. The LED acts as a stand by indicator, and also flashes error codes when trouble is detected within.

When I browse one particular website, the website displays very small on the screen - is there a setting to fix this?

The browser for this one particular website displays the site at 70% of the normal size of what it should be.
Every other website we browse displays at a normal size.
This website displays at a normal size when we use explorer so it must be something to do with the browser setting?

I want to upload pictures but I can see them very small

I want to post an announce and attach some pictures. I open the folder but the picture are very small and can't resize in order to see them bigger. The only option I have is '' quick view''
The same problem is with the pictures attached in mail.

Flash content in local webpages is displayed in small size afther windows 7 update.

Since the latest update of Windows 7 / IE explorer 10 flash content in local webpages is displayed very small in internet explorer. To see the normal size I have to zoom in till 350 %. This occurs on two different laptops. Both have the most recent updates of flash player and Windows 7.
When viewed in Firefox the local content is displayed as ment.

If your content is still being displayed incorrectly, I would check the resolution setting for the built in display with this article:
OS X Yosemite: Adjust your display’s resolution
If it keeps happening whenever you use AirPlay then I would use this section of the following article to reset the display system:

Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
Restart your computer.

Gosh I am already tired of trying to retrieve this photo album and it seems like a waste of time and money spent on an apple IMac.
No disrespect intended but until you learn how iPhoto and Macs work you will continue to be confused and frustrated.
You say you want to create a book in iPhoto and have it printed by Apple, right. Have you finished creating the book in iPhoto? If so the Control (right) - click in the View all pages window background and select Save Book as PDF in the contextual menu?
Open the the PDF file with Preview and check for any errors or problems. If there are none you can order the book by clicking oin the Buy Book button at the bottom. Save the pdf file to compare with the printed book when it arrives in you feel there's a problem with it. That's all you need to do. There's no use of the Finder required.

Can you think of any recent changes on your computer or in Firefox, new programs, add-ons, etc.?

My first guess is the same as yours, which is a "zoom" issue. Holding down the Command key and pressing 0 (zero) should reset the zoom level of the current site to the standard level. Is that still too small?
Regarding content overlapping, this can occur for a few different reasons. Please check on these:
(1) "Text Only" zoom
If View menu > Zoom > Zoom Text Only has a checkmark, click it again to unselect it.
(2) Manually setting font sizes
In the Preferences dialog (either the "3-bar" menu button or the Firefox menu) > Content > "Advanced" button
If the Minimum font size is set to a number larger than 9, change it to 9 or None. A large minimum font size often will wreck the layout.
At the top, there is "Fonts for" drop-down that usually will say Latin or Other Writing Systems. You will want to make the same change for both of those, so select whichever one isn't currently displayed.
Finally, make sure the checkbox for "Allow pages to choose their own fonts" is checked and OK out of the dialog.

If you mean backed up as part of an iPhone backup in iTunes? If so, you would have to use 3rd party software to extract them from the backup, such as iPhone Backup Extractor.

Displaying MAC Laptop on sony tv can i use Apple TV

Going to get Mac book pro and apple tv. Thought this would be a good way to display whatever is on the mac on to the Sony LCD tv rather than plugging in a cable to the tv. Is this possible?

If you mean like you want to use the Sony as a display monitor whilst working on your macbook, eg a word or pages document, or browse the internet then I think the answer is no. The apple tv is more of a media center interface receiving streaming content from your computer.

Captivate 3 Inserted swf animations play fine but display on slide as very small

Using Captivate 3 build 589.
Opening an existing cp file. Each slide has a swf file on it, and an audio clip.
When I select a slide to edit it, the animation no longer appears as taking up the entire slide size of 800 x 600.
I need to add some highlight boxes on top of the animation, but because the slide displays the animation as very small, it's just a guessing game.
This didn't used to happen when I opened this project file--six months ago.
By the way, it publishes just fine--animation is correct size.
It's an 800x600 animation to begin with.
Any answers?

Thanks Rick. Yep, that last item on the list was the source of the problem.
You might want to revise your description. Users no longer have to go back to an older version of Flash Player. The newest version has the fix in it now.
Users are advised to first uninstall Flash Player using the Adobe-provided uninstall_flash_player.exe. Get it at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html.
Close all other windows before running uninstall_flash_player.exe.
When it is complete, restart your computer. Then when you first open Captivate, you are redirected to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to download the latest Flash Player. The version that fixed the issue for me is 10.1.82.76.
