Apple tv plays wrong music on iphoto

Hi,
Can anyone help please, this is the first time on this forum.
I have purchased an apple tv and sent all the music files and photo files succesfully over the wi fi but the selected music I chose for the photos does not play. Instead another song plays that I never chose! This happens on all the files on Apple TV. Strangely if I start up Front Row on my computer and select photos the correctly chosen songs plays perfectly.

Apple TV Playing my music "slow"

Hey there smart community. OK, my subject pretty much says it all but I'll explain anyway....
At first, my Apple TV played my music perfectly with no problems (running through my Mac Pro - direct ethernet). I switched it over to my iMac on a wireless network and my audio is playing... but very slow and down a few tones... like holding your finger on a vinyl record.
Is this caused by my wireless not being powerful enough? I switched to the Time Capsule Airport connection and it's still the same.
I'd like some insight to a particular setting I may have screwed up, or , well, anything

Bizarre.
Wireless issues would lead to stuttering/choppy music not slow playback, and if it worked over ethernet it should over wireless too.
Assume you've unplugged the AppleTV and restarted it.
The only thing I can think of that could cause this is if you've encoded audio with somewhat unusual parameters which AppleTv isn't expecting eg high sampling frequency which gets played back at a lower one making the audio slower. Can't see why this would have worked over ethernet though so seems unlikely.
Is all audio affected or just some?
If problem persists I woud have to guess that it's software corruption and a 'factory restore' might be needed though it will wipe all content and settings on the unit.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In the lower RH corner of iTunes is the Airplay device selctor.
Click on it, select multiple speakers and check the computer and Apple TV from the list.

Slideshows do not play customised music in iPhoto 11

I updated i Mac and now have i Photo 11 with Mac OS X 10.6.8. Choosing slideshow in albums and books gives you an option to stop the show with cursor and choose music. But I have the problem that this pop up window is dead. I cannot bring music from i Tunes library into it. Stupid preselected music just goes on and on. Help me. Need a friend`s favourite music into his book slideshow. i photo 08 did this fine, a bit differently but it worked.

Assuming this is for iPhoto on your Mac:
Launch iTunes use the File -> Library -> Organize Library -> Reorganize Library menu option. Then quit and relaunch iPhoto.

Thank you Winston for a helpful response and for reminding me of something which I found nearly a year ago and then lost (in my mind) because I did not use it. I am grateful for a correct answer but it still only achieves part of what I wanted.
I can now choose my photos, decide how long they stay on screen and choose one of a variety of presentations. Two things I still can't do.
One is to get it to play the photos in the chronological order in which I have carefully set them in an album; it still tends to be random and repetitive. The other is that I cannot get any of them them to saty on screen for more than about 20 seconds. I guess this is all due to the way Apple TV is constructed.

Apple tv is playing wrong movie. Very strange. I select the movie or tv program I want to watch but it plays a completely different one. I have airplay on, if I take it off the problem stops but every time I pause then hit play a different movie or even music plays on my computer at the same time. It;s driving me crazy. Whats going on?

When it stopped playing, what happened. Did the screen go blank, the video just freeze or did it go back to the menus, could you otherwise use the Apple tv or not.

Are you sure that if I use my windows log in rather than my husbands, then open itunes it won't delete all his hundreds of songs and overwrite with mine?
I want to maintain my own apple ID login and he wants his but without losing his songs.....

Can I play the music on Apple TV through iTunes?

OK, this is not easy to explain, hope this makes sense:
My Apple TV is connected both to my TV and to my HiFi System. In order to listen to music, I always have to switch the TV on and navigate through the Apple TV Menu.
Would it be possible to select and play the music on my Apple TV directly through iTunes on my iMac which is synced to the Apple TV?
This way I wouldn't always have to turn the TV on and fiddle around with the tiny remote control, when I just want to listen to some music through my HiFi system.
Basically what I am looking for is to open iTunes on my Mac, click on Apple TV on the left under devices and just click on any title or playlist to play it over Apple TV.
Any ideas and help are greatly appreciated!

Chenks and OP; yes, I do this a lot without the TV on. I just use the ATV as an Airtunes client sending the sound from iTunes to it with the remote speaker choice at the bottom right. Just turn on the amp, leave the TV off and navigate on the computer. But, the OP says he wants to choose a playlist etc under the ATV icon, that won't work, he'll have to make his music selections in iTunes as though he is using the computer to listen.

on you laptop you will open itunes. up next to the play button you will see the little airplay symbol, you need to click that, press Apple TV, then select some music.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings

do you use the same Apple ID on your iMac, your iPhone and iPad? This is a requirement.

IPhoto will not play iTunes music in slideshow

Slideshow I created in iPhoto will only play theme music. When I select my music from iTunes, the slideshow does not play the music. I have made dozens of slideshows before without this problem. Seems to be a bug with iPhoto now. Any suggestions??

Home Sharing on Apple TV keeps cutting when playing my music

I've got my Apple Tv connected to my Sony Bravia via HDMI.
It is then connected to my wireless router.
I've turned on home sharing and play my music via the APTV, however after say 30 mins of playing music, it just stops. I go to the home page of APTV and my 'library' is missing under computer.
Only way I can fix is to go to the laptop itunes and turn off home sharing and then turn on again.
I've only had this a week and its very frustrating!!
Sometimes it lasts more than an hour before cuts out.
Ive got no problem with accessing internet etc, so doesnt appear that connection is stopping.
Any advice greatly appreciated!!!

This problem is driving everyone nuts. I have tried everything. I have fixed all the IP addresses on my wifi network, uninstalled, reinstalled iTunes, hard reset the ATV, check all the port settings, turned QoS on the router on and off...at the end of the day, the only thing that makes the homeshare appear is turning the ATV off and on. And when it cuts out again half an hour later, you have to do the same thing all over again....
As for the suggestion for some - presumably - Apple support people that its a problem with third party routers, that is just baloney. My router maintains internet and wifi connectivity perfectly. Buy an Apple router?? No thanks, not after this ATV fiasco.
On top of this, it doesn't play AVI or other normal movie formats so everything has to be transcoded to MP4. And I need to have iTunes open on my PC for the homeshare to get picked up (or rather for it to get intermittently picked up).
This is the biggest piece of junk I have bought recently. Think I'll use it as a paperweight. No more Apple for me.
