Apple TV power input

Apple TV
I am moving to a 50hz, 220v and would like to know if my Apple TV will work as is like the iphone or iPad.

Yes the power supply is universal. You will of course need to change the plug or get an adapter.

  • Power inputs on both sides.

It would be easier to get the power cord to stay connected if there were power inputs on both sides of the macbook.

It would be. It would also be easier  using a usb devices if there was a usb port on the other side of the computer. But I assume adding additional ports and power takes room and expense. I guess they had to stop somewhere when adding ports/features.
But we are just users here. If you want to give your idea to Apple you can use the feedback form on Apple's site.

  • Power input specs for MacBook Pro

Anyone know if Apple have (or are going to) released information on the actual power input requirements for the MacBook Pro ? I specifically mean for the machine, NOT it's AC adapter.
They came tantalisingly close for the 17" PowerBook with this :

I suspect the answer is going to be NO, if so then I would suggest they reconsider their policy - making up new proprietry connectors and restricting the supply of third party products like this is really having an effect on their image. People DO notice this sort of thing, and suggest they've been taking lessons from Microsoft in how to restrict people/force them to buy more than they intended.
Given that I've a box full of dead Apple supplies for PowerBooks, some of which have already been repaired and given a second life, then I'd rather put off buying a MacBook until I know I can either make, buy, or adapt a third party supply (at a reasonable cost). I'm powering my PowerBoook now off a third party supply that seems better built and was half the price of an Apple supply. Plus I need three, one to live under the desk at home, another to live under the desk at work, and a third to go around in my case - it makes life so much easier. I've no intention of shelling out for three extra Apple supplies (two extras and a spare for WHEN one packs in).

You might want to ask this in the MacBook Pro forums… you're in the MacBook forums.

  • DV6000 power input / usb board

I am in need of a power input board # DAT8APB3004907
Can't find anyone on the web with stock of this tem. Anyone have a supply?
    thanks,
    Steve

    Welcome to the Apple discussions.
We just recently had to have one of our Powerbooks repaired (A 15" 1.67Ghz model). The DC-in card, which contains the female socket the power adapter plugs into, was $120 parts and labor to replace, which was service done in the Apple store. Turns out the issue was the logic board, and they sent it out to the Apple depot for $325. They replaced the logic board, as well as some case parts. They told me at the store if they replaced the logic board in the store the cost would have been more than double that. Don't know if they handle repairs the same in UK, however, perhaps that gives you some ideas.

  • Apple's power adapter replacement program - U.S. only

    Hello,
    I have a macbook air.
Its power adapter has a L-shape, but I have the same problem because of strain relief.
I found that Apple's power adapter replacement program page on web, About Apple's Power Adapter Replacement Program -- U.S. only.
I think that the T-shape photo on web is just an example showing what strain relief.
When I visit the apple retail store and ask the program, they answered me that program is only available for T-shape power adapter.
is it correct? do I need to buy additional power adapter for my air?
    Thank you,

    Yes, that is correct.

  • Apple FireWire Power Adapter and iPod Classic

I just looked through the user guide, and it doesn't mention anything positive or negative about using the Apple FireWire Power Adapter that came with my 3G iPod. Any chance I'm going to fry my new iPod if I try charging it with the Firewire Power Adapter?
    Thanks,
    Steve

No, you will not fry your new iPod.

  • Can Shuffle play while charging on Apple USB Power Adapter?

    Hi,
We would like to purchase a shuffle (2nd gen) to play continuously music on hold to our company's telephone system. The Phone system's audio-in jack is compatible. I've connected my 1st Gen iPod shuffle to the phone system, and it plays fine.
We will not be able to plug the shuffle into a computer, so we will need to plug it into the Apple USB Power Adapter.
Is anyone doing this? Does it work? Any problems?
    Thanks,
    David

  • HT204053 How I can change my apple purchase power through visa c.c to non ?

How I can change my apple purchase power through visa c.c to non ?

If you're asking how to have an Apple ID without a credit card for purchasing fee apps and media, you have to create a new ID as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534.  Be sure to follow this guide exactly.  Note that you have to start by download and installing a free app before creating the ID.  Once you have the new ID, go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap the existing ID, sign out, then sign in with your new ID.

  • Do I have to have an apple USB power adapter to charge the ipod or can i use one for a htc phone?

Must I have an Apple USB power adaptor to charge an ipod or can I use the power adaptor from my htc cell phone?

Read the cell phone user manual to see if the charger can charge an iPod Nano.
FYI the usb power charger (AC) does not have to come from Apple.  I purchased mine from Macmall.com

  • Can I charge an iPod Classic 3G with the Apple USB power adapter?

I have just buy an iPod Classic 3G with 15  GB (SN JQ4239GQQQF) from ebay.
I have read that it's posible to sync it with my PC with Windows 7, but, It is not possible
    to charge it by usb.
I could charge it with the Apple USB power adapter?
    Thanks

With that particular model, only the Firewire cable and connection will provide power to the device.  The USB cable is only for syncing.
Using the iPod Dock Connector to FireWire and USB 2.0 Cable
Here is the cable you'll need.

  • Old Apple USB Power Adapter with new nano

Hi. I have an older Apple USB Power Adapter (model A1102) that I've been using with an Ipod Mini (bought it with the mini a long time ago). I have a new 3G nano on order. Will this power adapter work with the new nano? Or will I be forced to buy a new one?
Output from the adapter is 5V - 1.0A
    Thanks

Since I also converted from a Mini to a 3G Nano, I thought I'd give you a couple of pointers; I probably spent a couple of days preparing my existing mp3 library (and that says nothing about videos).
    1) Make sure all of your mp3's are NOT marked read-only and load everything you want into the NEW iTunes
    2) Work on collecting/saving the NEW things like album covert art and lyrics (I sometimes use the lyrics area to list musicians/personnel)
    3) Re-construct your playlists and SAVE everything (iTunes actually writes back to the mp3 files--that's why you don't want them read-only)
    4) Only then start messing with videos, because they tend to crash iTunes depending on your hardware, OS, etc. (for example, iTunes doesn't work well with Vista). My best advice for videos is use a 3rd party converter (like Nero Recode) to ensure iPod format compatibility; don't even waste your time with iTunes for anything that isn't a downloaded/purchased item.

  • 2940 RX Power Input

I see that the maximum power input to the USRP-2940 RX ports is -15 dBm.
Is that the average power rating?
Is there a peak power rating?
    Thanks.

There is not a specefication for peak power input of this USRP. However it is advised to stay beneath -15dBm.
