Apple TV recognized but wont connect

I recently switched from verizon (which worked fine) to Roadrunner.  Modem is Ubee # u10c022.00.  When turning on Apple tv my modem is recognized.  It shows a wi-fi address and also signal strength.  But upon trying to set it up and putting in the password it tells me there was a problem connecting to the network and the password is not correct.  Try again or reset your password.    (-100)  Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance for your help

    Greetings Socs4bill,
It seems your iPod has been exposed to liquid and is not operating properly. Based on the information you have provided, it appears your iPod needs to be serviced. I can't get FaceTime or iMessage to connect, I enter valid password (tested and works for Apple account) and it won't connect. I have checked all settings, upgrades iOS to 8.3 rebooted, changed Apple acount PW still wont connect. My internet connection is fine Safari works and I can access all sites. I have an iPad 2. Any help on this will be greatly appreciate.  iPad 2, iOS 8.3

This is an ongoing problem as you will see by searching the forum.
Out of curiosity, do you have 2 step verification enabled?  It was recently extended to include iMessage & FaceTime & I'm wondering if it might be causing some of the issues that some users are experiencing.

  • CM2320fxi fax dials but wont connect or answer intermittently after firmware update

After installing the most recent firmware update, the fax will intermittently fail to answer incoming faxes or will dial but not connect on fax send.  Will work fine for a day or so, then stop working.  Have tried unplugging power source and cables and this works only briefly.  Have tested line with a different fax and it works fine.

To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial Forums.

  • IPod connected and recognized, but wont sync.

Whenever I plug my iPod into my computer and open iTunes to sync my library to my iPod, nothing happens. I've clicked on my iPod under Devices in iTunes and manually clicked sync and, still, nothing happens.
I recently had to upgrade to Windows 7 due to a bad hard drive and Vista being garbage so I had to install iTunes again, could there be any settings I need to change that are preventing my iPod from syncing? I had to use a program (Media Rescue) to get my songs from my iPod to iTunes when this started happening, is there a program like this that will do the opposite and transfer my iTunes library to my iPod?

    Thanks!
Okay, two GB of RAM rules out the nVidia chipset issues with Windows 7 and USB. (That requires at least 4 GB of RAM before that issue kicks in). If she's a couple of years old that would rule out a p55 or p55m chipset issue with Windows 7.
We'd better check the USB drivers, to be on the safe side. In the course of your troubleshooting to date, have you been through the following document?

  • Apple TV 2nd Generation - wont connect to Itunes on Windows 7 Computer, with BT Home Hub 2

So have been searching around all over the Interweb and cant put my finger on an answer.
Apple TV is up to date and so is Itunes. Connecting via wireless.
Apple TV connects to internet fine, and also allows airplay via Ipad. It is reporting the correct router address so I am assuming it is all on the same network and happy that way.
I can see the Apple TV device in Home hub manager.
In Apple TV and Itunes I have turned on Home Sharing. (In fact tried turning off and on a number of times)
Initially I can see in Apple TV the Library I am trying to connect to. So you select and it goes away for a while and comes back with "Cannot connect to Neils Library"...
So I searched around and looked at ports that you maybe should open on the computer to allow other devices to search for Itunes - TCP 3689 and UDP 5353. So I created a new Application Sharing entry in the home hub, and assigned that to my PC only. (maybe I havent done that correctly? Followed a guide on a port forwarding website)
Weirdly then - when I go back to my Apple TV and look at "computers" on the menu, it can no longer see my Itunes library. Before it could see the library, but errored when trying to connect to it.
Have also tried turning the firewall off.
So I am a bit stuck. Any suggestions or past experience would be gratefully received.
    Thank you!
    Neil

OK - I managed to fix this. Will document for others.
I started to think it was a firewall thing. So I turned off both my Windows 7 firewall and my BT Home hub firewall. It started working!
So turned back on the BT home hub firewall - still working. So it must be a windows 7 firewall.
Went in and checked that Itunes was there as an exception... Yep. So why still not working?
Found out that the entry in my Windows 7 firewall said I-Tunes - but when you looked at the details button it wasnt pointing to a program - it was just blank.
So added a new entry and pointed that at the I-Tunes exe file.
    Now all working...

  • Imac find wireless but wont connect!

As the subject states...i recently purchased an imac G5 from a friend, he wanted rid and i got it for dirt cheap; so figured id make most of a bargain!
Anyway while setting up the computer and ridding it of all his rubbish etc i tried connecting to my household wireless network, the computer found the network but wouldn't connect to it and gave me the following message
"There was an error joining the AirPort network "MadHouse""
I know that the wireless network works fine as i can connect my Nokia N8, Blackberry Curve, Nokia N900, Ipod Touch, MacBook, and another 5 windows based laptops succesfully!!
Any suggestions as to why it wont?

try reinstalling the OS on the mac. if that's not possible try connecting the mac to your router by using an Ethernet cable. if you are able to get it to connect to the internet try to update it.
if it still dosent work then, as the last resort, you will have to reinstall the IMAC G5's operating system. do not install the one that supports intel or it will not work on your imac g5.

  • Apple TV Syncing But Not Connecting To Internet!

    Hi,
My Apple TV is syncing with my iMac just fine over WiFi. But for some reason it can't connect to the Internet on its own. The problem with this is that YouTube no longer works!
Prior to installing Leopard, the Apple TV worked just fine, and didn't have a problem connecting to the Internet automatically on its own. So what's changed? If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it, 'cos YouTube was one of the main things I used on it.

I still can't connect. On my Network Settings screen it says:
    IP Address: DHCP 169.25.**.
    Router Address: N/A
    DNS Address: N/A
When the Internet used to work with the Apple TV, I don't remember seeing DHCP in the IP Address field. I also don't remember both the Router Address and DNS Address being unavailable.
