Apple TV showing a blank screen

My Apple TV 2 was working fine a few days ago but now there is no video output. There is sound and the screen saver works but no menu or video. Any suggestions?
I've tried the following.
1) Removed power for more than 5min
2) Changed HDMI cables
3) Held down the "menu" and "down" button for more than 6 seconds. (the device reboots and displays a apple logo but then goes blank)
4) Performed a software restore using Itunes and micro usb cable.
Is there anything else I can try? or should I just return it to an apple store?

If I turn on Apple TV before turning on my TV, I cannot see anything on screen even though I can hear selection sounds as I move the directional pad on my remote around.
The fix is to unplug the power from the Apple TV, make sure that the TV is on, and turn Apple TV back on. This is not that big of a deal but it's a complete pain in the buns when my wife is trying to turn it on for my 4 irate kids and can't get the darn thing to work!
This has to be a bug - is there an update?

Update notification shows there are updates but when I click on the update option it shows a blank screen

The update option on the app store shows a notification that I have 'n' numbers of updates but when I click on the update option it only shows a blank screen. Even after updating the apps individually from the purchased option, the update option still shows a blank screen instead of "All you applications are up to date". Please help.

Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. According to Fly150in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I do not know if it's relevant or not, but I got a message on my ipad while on safari saying that my iPhone has a virus. I looked it up and it seems it might have just been an ad from the website I was on, but it happened around the same time YouTube stopped working.

You will find that using the YouTube app will provide a better viewing experience for YouTube videos.

You may need to do a Restore in iTunes.
Clicking sounds from an iPod that has a hard drive is probably not a good thing. It is possible that your iPod's hard drive is becoming unreliable.

Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

Hey all. First of all I am still pretty new to flash so forgive me if I make any stupid mistakes.
I am currently working on a portfolio site made in flash. The site itself is good to go, now all that is left is putting it online.
This is where the main problem is. I used flash to publish into both a HTML and a SWF file and linked both of them including all the images and vids that are reffered to in Filezilla.
Now when I open the HTML file it does show my portfolio in an offline browser window like it should, everything works fine etc. But when I try to visit my site, IE only shows a blank screen
whereas FF shows a blank screen and a small thumbnail in the upper left corner telling me to install flash player. I clicked on it, installed the newest version etc but still the same results.

It appears you have misnamed the file, using an uppercase i instead of a lowercase. If I try to link directly to Index.swf I get a no file found error, but if I link directly to index.swf what I imagine is the file in question displays.

I was having the same issue, and in frustration kept tapping the screen and in must have been pulling down too, because I have found that when it happens to me the updates are there, but they are way up high, hidden, so I have to 'pull' down the page, sometimes two or three page lengths and then the updates are way up top. I hope I explained the fix correctly, I am very curious if it works for others.
