Apple tv sound stops and starts
?my apple TV keeps cutting in and out after 15 or 20 seconds it cuts out audio for 1 or 2 seconds and keeps doing this.

I found the following information which may assist you in troubleshooting this issue:

If you can see video but can't hear sound
If Apple TV is connected to a receiver, make sure the receiver is turned on.
Make sure the input setting you've selected on your receiver matches the input you have your audio cables connected to. See the documentation that came with your receiver for more information.
Make sure the volume on your TV or receiver is turned up and isn't muted.
Check whether you can hear sound while playing video only. Also, check whether you can hear audio feedback while clicking through menu options.
If you're connected to the HDMI port on your TV and Apple TV, make sure your TV supports audio through its HDMI port. The HDMI ports on some older TVs support only video.
If you are using HDMI audio, try disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable.
If you're connected to the HDMI port on your TV and Apple TV, make sure your TV is setup to receive audio from HDMI. For some TV's this is automatic, but for others there is a choice between digital and analog (for HDMI audio, choose digital). Read more about HDMI audio.
Try the other audio outputs on Apple TV to see if they work.
If possible, try using different audio cables.

I am going nuts with this problem and creative support is not much help atm, so I have been troubleshooting myself. Whats going on is my sound stops, starts, and stutters a lot. It is pretty bad when I play music files but it is absolutely horrible when I watch videos like on CNN or YOU TUBE. It is like a old vinyl record skipping, except when this gets off a stutter, it races to where it should be on the time line. Also my creative console does not work right. I cannot use the equalizer, as the custom, rock, pop music select is greyed out and the box is checked to use the equlaizer. It also disappears when I click on a few tabs, like between speakers, bass, equalizer..then its just gone and I have to click the shortcut again to get it back.
What I have done so far is un-install everything, and do a clean boot, then re-install and I have the same problems. Though I downloaded the creative console beta(2.6.49) and it seemed to have fixed my issues with that. But downloading the new drivers (2.7.8) does not fix the stopping and starting.
Any suggestions?
I should mention I use klipsitch speakers..2.1, I don't have surround sound anymore.
Customer service had me run a registry cleaner and use it to uninstall everything creative. I used CCleaner, then used direct links to download drivers...again...(2.7.8) and a creative console(2.6.35)..guess what? It didn't work, same problems, though I downloaded and re-installed the beta for the creative console(2.6.49) and now it works fine. I also did all this under a clean boot..again.Check if "Play Stereo Mix using Digital Output" is checked in the Console launcher in Settings/Digital IO.

Movies sound stopping and starting
Sony xperia z1Sony carried out a large software update about a week ago,after that none of my movies work properly now, this is what happens.about every 30 seconds the sound stops for approximately 5 seconds, when the sound starts again the movie pauses for approximately 2 seconds, then it happens all again 30 seconds later,this is on all my movies iv deleted movies,reinstalled,deleted cache, and now connected to sony companion and done a fresh install to factory settings, still the same,I need my movies for flying abroad has I'm on holiday in a week,please resolve...... I make a diaporama on iDVD with music. When I watch it on iDVD, everything is perfect. After burning it, I tried to watch it on my home DVD player. Everything was fine except, at some points, the music stop 2 seconds and start again. It's like we paused the music for two seconds. It makes it few times on the DVD.
What could be the problem??Q: To export as a Quicktime video from iPhoto, do I need to buy Quicktime pro?
A: No you do not need to buy QT Pro in order to Export from iPhoto as a QT file or movie.

The sound on my T530 will stop working and then if I leave it alone for a while it will start back. It seems to happen after I've used my headphones but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Have to Stop and start "Apple Mobile Device EVERY time
I have an iPad and an iPod which I sync every morning through iTunes with Outlook. And each morning I must stop and start "Apple mobile device" in the Services to get iTunes to recognize my devices.
I have recently uninstalled iTunes,QuickTime, Bonjour.................................and reinstalled the latest version of iTunes and the latest versions for my iPad and iPod.
Nothing has changed. Any other advice.Apple Mobile Device not Starting

I have a Macbook pro mid 2011 and just bought the Apple TV. While watching program or movie from any of the apps such as Watch ABC, the program keeps stopping and starting constantly.
That would indicate a network issue.
Reboot ATV and router
Make sure DNS is set to auto
Ensure router is up to date, if on wifi try ethernet
Go to istumbler.net to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise -
When try to stream content (specifically, videos from Acorn.com) to my TV through my apple TV from my iphone 5,The video freezes, stops and starts continually, even though it is playing smoothly on the screen of my iphone. both iphone, Apple TV are capable models and have latest software updates.
What's wrong here?Not necessarily, but right now you don't have a stable network and there are a lot of factors that can compromise that. I didn't say ethernet was the only option, again you can get a report of your network to see the status. Would have to change things in order to strengthen the wifi signal (i.e. router location, channel,placement of ATV etc). I am running on wireless without issue, same as most users, and if you took it to a controlled environment (like Apple) you would see similar results.

when i plug my ipod in it says ipod cant be read cuz the apple mobile device is not started.And i went to services and apple mobile device properties and start stops in the middle.and its on automatic.and there isnt a stop button.when i click start it says the apple mobile device services stopped in the middle then stopped.it said some services stop in the middle if not used by other services.and i just updated itunes before all a this and ever since ive had errors.

My lap top is extremly slow. It studders. It kind of sounds like there is a fan inside and it constantly stopping and starting. And, it takes a really long time for it too start up. Whats wrong with it?
Do you have current backups?
Those symptoms could indicate a failing Hard drive. If it dies, all your documents go with it unless you have Backups.
I have had very good luck with physical and battery problem diagnosis at the Genius Bar. Those guys put their hands (and their ears) to these machines, all day every day, and they know immediately what all those sounds mean.

Over 2 days, as I watch Netflix, or listen to music on other apps, my sound randomly stops and starts. I have no control of it. I do not have to touch my ipod when this happens, it does this on its own. On for 20 min, off for 5 min, on for 5, off for 2, on for 1 min, off for 15 min. It ossolates randomly through time.
I hard reboot, but this works or does not work (for a while). Any ideas?Hello,

Waveburner resets (64bit) IK Multimedia plugins when stopping and starting
Does anyone else happen to have this problem:
I'm finding that while mastering, I want to look back at the incremental changes made and have found that the Pultec EQ and some other plugins seem to default to a preset.
In order to get to this problem I did the following:
1 track in Waveburner, added the Pultec EQ,
2 added a limiter chose a preset 'MIX PRESENCE' then got my desired sound.
3 When listening everything seems fine and then you stop and start again, or go back to the beginning of the track by pressing the 'BACK ONE TRACK' button on the transport and all of the sudden the Pultec EQ resets to that original preset.
So not too sure what to do, the only way of getting round this issue was to mix as best as I could, save as a new preset while it was playing and then when hitting start again then while it is playing then I quickly hit the preset on that I made and have to bounce my mix at the same time in order to finally get my desired output which is less than okay.
Can anybody help. I'm running on an iMac, 64bit Version10.6.7 OS and Waveburner is 1.6.1
Many thanksIt is not just IK Multimedia and Waves plugs that are resetting on me; it is also the WaveBurner 'native' plug "Linear Phase EQ" and who knows how many others, were I to begin testing instead of trying to work through this.
This little bug renders this software effectively useless for professional work.
Some of my Waves plugs hold their values, others don't.
Elysia products screwed up too; so much for that demo.
As far as I can tell I am not using any automation, but, is there a way to globally turn off the possibility of automation (I tried RightClicking in the mix lane but there is no choice of automation available there, perhaps 'cause there is none as I suspect)?
I am using WaveBurner 1.6.1.
C'mon Apple, its November already; you must fix this. -
Music skips and stops and starts
Hello, we have just got a nano to replace a 3rd gen iPod.
I have around 50 gigs of music on a lacie USB drive, and the music plays flawlessly from here in iTunes.
However once imported into the nano, there is distortion, jumps and clicks in the music and sometimes the song will just stop and start from the beginning.
