Apple TV Status LED is Flashing

It hasn't been plugged in a couple months.  Just plugged it in and the Status LED keeps flashing. First thought that it may be receiving updates, but it's been ongoing for 15+ minutes.  Tried powering it down and back up again a couple of times, but same thing happens.  The TV only shows a graphic of the HDMI cable hookup, no menu options...
Anyone know about other options to try, or been here before?

You have to grab a micro usb cable and restore via iTunes

  • CompactRIO unusual error status LED flashing continuously

    Hi,
    I have a cRIO 9014 controller with an error i can't solve.
After re-installing LV 8.5 on my laptop MAX could see the controller but with the VISA and NI-RIO error. I wanted to obtain the IP address from the DHCP server (before i used the static IP address without any problems), rebooted the controller and the status LED started flashing continuously every 1 second. (unrecoverable error or corrupted flash memory card)
I rebooted the controller several times with IP reset but LED is still flashing. Also in MAX i can't see the controller anymore so reformatting controller  is not possible.
Firewall is off, crossover cable is connected, IP of host is ok but no cRIO in MAX
Found a similar problem on the forum http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=238333&query.id=24781#M238333 but it didn't solve my problem unfortunately.
    Thanks for your help!
    Greetings from the Netherlands

    Hello TrabW,
Thank you for your post on our webforum.
Can you try to start up the controller in safe mode? Is it possible to ping the controller? Please try the default IP address and the one you entered (in case the controller didn't reset the IP). Please let me know the results,

  • CFP 2110 - Status led flashing continously

I'm running into problem with a cFP 2110.
During the debugging of my RT application on the cFP, I get an error message "Host IP address not in the access list". At this time, I was unable to download any application to the cFP. the VI server IP access list was configured with *. So all the IP address can access to the cFP.
I found a procedure on the ni web site to reset the system.
    -Set to safe mode
-ftp the cFP and delete all the file
    -Remove the safe mode.
It means that there is no more OS or LabVIEW RT on the system.
Now, When I restart the cFP, the Status led is flashing continously (1 flash / 1.5s) and I don't have access anymore to the cFP in MAX.. Can some one help me on this case ? .
    Thanks

    Hi Poussin,
I would recommend flipping the Reset IP dip switch (dip switch 7).  This
should get the controller to show up in Measurement and Automation
Explorer(MAX) as 0.0.0.0.  If you can't see the controller, you may want
to try turning off your firewall.  Often computer firewalls will prevent
customers from seeing unconfigured controllers in MAX.
Once you find your controller, you can flip the reset IP dip switch back to the
off position and reset the IP address.  For more information on this,
click on your FieldPoint controller in MAX that will be displayed as
0.0.0.0.  In the MAX help that appears on the right, click on the link
titled, "Configure Network Settings."  If you need assistance
choosing an IP address, please look at this KnowledgeBase.
Once you have assigned an IP address to the controller, the status light should
stop blinking once.   You will then need to install software.
    Here is a general
document that describes how to assign an IP address and install software.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  • How to read the power and status LEDs on cFP2020

Can the cFP2020 Power and Status LEDs be monitored by a host program? Also, can the Power and Ready LEDs be monitored from the other cFP Modules?

You can not directly read the Network Module Power or Status LED from a host program. Likewise, you can not directly read the Power and Ready LED of an IO module.
However, even though you can not directly ready the LED status, there are ways of finding out most of the information that the LEDs convey.
For the Network Module Power LED, you can infer the status of the Power LED by looking at the channel status for any/all items that are on the bank. If the items have errors indicating that a communication timeout has occured or an addressed item does not exist, then it is probable that the unit is offline (either because of no power or a fault). The Status LED indicates the current operating status of the Network module and in most cases, if it is flashing
, then a fault has occured that shutdown the processor. In most cases, you will not be able to determine that the Status LED is flashing, as the Status LED indicates a fault condition which will put the unit into a non-standard operating mode (e.g. firmware corruption, unassigned IP Address, or an OS fault).
For the IO modules, each channel on a module can report status, and based upon the status you can infer the state of the LEDs. If the module does not have the Power LED lit, the most likely status will be "Addressed item does not exist". If the module has the Power LED but no Ready LED, then the status will indicate that the "item is unconfigured". If the module has both a Power and Ready LED, than the channel should report either a good status, or a channel specific error (if applicable).

  • I have an Apple TV .. have continous flashing white LED light... tried holding menu   back for 10 seconds as suggested .. didn't work

I have an Apple TV ... it flashes continuously a white LED light... I tried the hold menu + back simultaneously for 10 seconds as recommended, but it didn't work. What other options are there?

    Hey there earlmesy,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

  • Apple TV green LED flashes rapidly

According to the ATV setup guide if the front green LED is flashing rapidly, there is a problem.  I've detached all the cables from the ATV and found a micro-USB cable, which I connected to the ATV and my Mac.  In iTunes in the left pane where the playlists and other options are located, only my iPad shows up as a device.  Going to Prefs there is no tab for ATV.  Under the Devices tab only the iPad shows up.
Other commets here have suggested restoring but it seems that since my Mac doesn't even "see" the ATV, there's nothing to restore to or from.
The USB cable works on my camera but it took a little elbow grease to get it inserted completely.
This is a Gen 2 ATV, two or so years old.  Connected to a late 2012 Mac Mini running OSX 10.9.1, with iTunes version 11.1.3 (64 bit).
Is there anything further that I can look into before committing it to a repair shop or buying a new one?
    thanks,
    -Tod

        •    Check that you have correctly followed the instructions for your model of Apple TV.
        •    If not already, try using a powered USB port.
        •    Repeat the process but this time try connecting the cable while iTunes is closed.
        •    Repeat the process with another cable.
        •    Try restoring the Apple TV on another computer in another location.

  • HT204492 If you're using the paired remote and the Apple TV status light flashes white, the problem isn't with the remote.

If you’re using the paired remote and the Apple TV status light flashes white, the problem isn’t with the remote.
Then what is the problem since I have troubleshoot my remote, it is working but cannot do anything on apple TV?

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

  • I have a mid 2009 13'' MBP. I got the battery replaced in Apple store, It then stopped displaying the battery status LED. After some months of use my MBP died. I got it checked in Apple verfied Service centre and was told that logic board was to blame

I have a mid 2009 13'' MBP. I got the battery replaced in Apple store, It then stopped displaying the battery status LED.
After some months of use my MBP died outside USA. I got it checked in Apple verfied Service centre and was told that logic board was faulty.
After I came back to US I took my MBP to Apple store and was told that there is liquid damage in the system. My question is that if there was liquid damage why did my MBP stop displaying the battery status right after  the battery was changed secondly why didnt the apple verified Service centre tell me that there was liquid damage afterall I paid them the money for diagnosing the problem.
Is there a process i can followup on this problem

These are question you would need to ask that service center.

  • Blackberry Pearl 8100 randomly shuts off and the status LED flashes red

My pearl was reciently unlocked and changed from AT&T service to t-mobile. after this switch the pearl started having fits of rage where it will turn off randomly, weather any keys have been hit or even if it is idle. the device LED then flashes red, sometimes once, other times it will flash once every 4 seconds for hours. then it will randomly turn back on either to the exact screen it had been on before it powered off or it will reboot completley and start the normal start-up procedure and varify security checks just as if the battery were removed. i tried removing the batery and leaving the phone disassymbled for a few nights but in the morning the plague is back and unrelenting. sometimes all i have to do it pick the device up and it will shut off. other times i will be plugging away with it for 20 or so minutes on the internet and then it will die suddenly. it also cuts out in the middle of phone calls. if anyone can help, please let me know.
    blackberry 8100 v4.2.1.96

Is it a new phone? If it's less then a month old see if you can return it, otherwise you can try reloading the OS.
So if you're willing to try that, do the following.
First download and install the Desktop Manager from here (4.6 without Media Manager is recommended): https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22
Next you can use the Backup and Restore feature present in the software to make a backup of all the data on your phone.
Next download and install the handheld software from here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
Afterwards try reloading the OS by connecting the device to your computer, open the Desktop Manager, then go into the Application Loader. This will open a wizard that steps you through reloading the OS onto your device. More detailed steps can be found here:

  • Charge status LED bug in new firmware

After updating my 2nd generation iPod shuffle firmware from version 1.0.2 (which it came with) to version 1.0.4, the status LED does not correctly indicate when the battery is fully charged anymore.
According to the manual, the status LED should turn from yellow to green only after the battery has been fully charged, which takes about four hours if the battery was completey depleted. It worked that way with the original firmware.
Now with firmware 1.0.4, the LED turns to green after a little less than 90 minutes of charging the empty battery, which by then obviously isn't full yet. From runtime tests I conducted it seems that the battery has reached about 85% charge at this point.
So if you want to ensure a full charge, ignore the LED and charge the iPod shuffle for at least four hours until Apple fixes this issue.

I went to local Nokia service, and they told me that probably it was wrongly flashed. So I reinstalled firmware two more time, but it always have the same problem. Is there someone with 6300 that have the newest firmware and can test this ?
    thank you
I will put this phone to service and see what they will do.

  • Three status lights keep flashing

I was using my Airport extreme, it was a-ok, then the power went. When the base station came back up all three status lights starting flashing rapidly and simultaneously and since then i cannot get any signal from the base station. I've tried to unplug for 5, 10, 60 mins then re-plug....it still goes back to the same situation. I had this problem before when i just got this replacement base station and usually after unplugging the power chord and waiting for say 1 minute, then plugging it back in, the flashing stopped and the base station started sending a signal again. Except this time all three signal lights continued to blink after re-plugging. Can anybody help at all..I could use some suggestions..I have already tried using the re-set button, it doesn't work. Airport admin utility cannot pick up the base station because there is no signal coming from it..I've checked the manual and it says that the base station has failed its power on self test...what can i do now...I had asked this question b4 when it was initially giving trouble (and i didn't have a manual handy) and was told that it should b ok..that was when i had the chance to return it to an apple-authorized service provider....now i don't so i would like to know what to do....this is a replacement base station!
    Power Book G4   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

All three status LEDs flashing means the device has failed its power on self test:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107457
...and you need to get the base station serviced.
Hard to know exactly what happened to your Base Station "when the power went" as you described it. Sometimes the line power spikes that occur immediately before or during a power failure can damage electronic devices.

  • HT4600 So. The manual indicates I can set the LED to flash on activity.

    Running MountainLion
I have a first generation Time Capsule, which long ago I set the LED to flash on activity. I happen to like that setting. Alot. Lets me visually diagnose that our broadband connection has croaked (again). I just bought a 4th generation Time Capsule. The manual indicates I can set the LED to flashing, and obviously, once upon a time I knew how. I check the base station pane, where I am supposed to be able to set this. AND THERE IS NO FREAKING OPTION TO SET BLINKING. Sorry. Frustrated here.
Checked with both 6.1 and 5.6 versions of the airport utility.
So. Are the manuals full of excrement, or did Apple mess up and remove a function many of us really, really, really liked?

    I have no issues..
If you are running 5.6 utility in ML.. go to manual setup and airport settings.. still works fine.
    Click on options
If you do not have the option even in 5.6 utility, downgrade the firmware on the TC to 7.5.2
    Then it should work.

Hi, when powering up my macbook pro, when the apple symbol appears the screen flashes pink, can anyone advise whats up?

You can try a system reinstall:
Reinstalling Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.

  • FP-1600 Status LED blinks 17 times.

My FieldPoint bank has 9 modules. I previously had a problem with the FP-TB-10 power and ready lights blinking, but that was because one of my dual-channel modules was not seated correctly. Now the status LED is blinking 17 times. The manual says to contact NI about this. The FieldPoint Explorer seems to find all of the modules correctly, though. Anyone know what's up?

    Aaron,
I checked the firmware and the FieldPoint Explorer version, and I'm using 3.20 and 3.0, respectively. When I power cycle the FP-1600, the 17 blinks of the status LED go away. Communication works, and all of the devices are found. However, communication does drop out from time to time, and eventually the status LED begins blinking 17 times again.
A possibly related issue is that the FP-AI-V10 dual-channel module that I have plugged into slot 2 of the FP-TB-10 base causes the FP-TB-10 to flash its power and ready LEDs. Re-seating the FP-AI-V10 seems to fix this, although the module is definitely already clicked into place when I see this problem. Upon reseating (or just pressing on it without removing the module), the FieldPoint Explo
    rer program finds this module.
I'm tempted to think that this issue with the FP-TB-10 and FP-AI-V10 are unrelated to the FP-1600's status LED blinking 17 times because even with the FP-TB-10 removed from the bank, I still get the flashing LED.
Any ideas? Also, what is a GPF type error?
    Thanks,
    Jake
