Apple TV Suggestions
I'm stoked the new update includes HBOGO, WatchESPN, etc... but don't stop there. There are so many channels Apple could add. Expand by bringing content providers such as MUBI & TED and streaming friendly networks such as PBS, ABC, BloombergTV, & BBCiplayer (if possible) to the AppleTV!!!
Have an Apple TV because I can't stand using cable and therefore only pay my subscriber for internet and phone service. Was very excited to see Apple add a few new icons but that quickly faded when I realized I HAVE TO PAY FOR CABLE TO GET THE SERVICE!!!! HBO and ESPN Go are not available if you are not a CABLE subscriber. Honestly, when are the cable subscribers and Apple going to get it! I don't want to pay for 250 channels that I don't watch. Was happy to consider the cost for ESPN and HBO had it been a pay as you go or perhaps only the 19.95 charge the cable companies want me pay in addition to the digital cable box, DVR and ridiculous 250 channel line up.
Why would I pay $150+ dollars so I can have 1 tv in my house activiated when I have an Apple TV on both TV's. Unless Apple figures out a way to get more content loaded on the Apple TV it will be the next plug I pull.

Is there a way to delete the photos in Photo Stream on my mackbook pro notebook?
My phone became corrupted today and, after continuing to have problems with 2 new phones, the apple specialists determined that the only possible explanation was the presence of a corrupted photo or video in photo stream; and that the only way to use my phone without it shutting down was to deactivate the photo stream on it. It worked, but I would like to be able to have the option of using photostream again. The apple folks suggested that I delete all photos from photo stream on my computer; and then, when it is "empty", reactivate it on my phone? Is anyone familiar with this problem?If it says Not Enough Storage Space on iCloud then you can get more Storage space for iCloud if you want to backup more Data on iCloud Storage. Bookmarks are not syncing to ONE of my Macs, but showing up on other Mac (work), iPhone 4 and iPad 1. Macs are on Mountain Lion. Tried all of Apple's suggestions - and the one Mac is still not updating/syncing Bookmarks or Reading List. What's going on? Do I have to wait to OS update? It seems lots of peolple were having issues before ML, but I as fine. Since ML, I am having all kinds of issues!
Yeah, I literally have tried everything except deleting my iCloud account (I'm close, but that would require so many changes that it is way too painful to consider at this point).
I am still waiting to hear back from Apple Support. Hopefully something can be done, or they can do a reset on their end.

I'm switching from iPhone 3GS AT&T iOS 4.3 to new iPhone 5 Verizon. Apple online suggests iTunes 11.0.1 on MB OS 10.6.8 to backup contacts, etc. How do I know if backup really worked? I created a new contact on my iPhone and a different one in my calendar on the MB. Connected iPhone to the MB and synched/backedup. However, I can't find my iPhone contact in MB AddressBook and vice versa. Did the backup work? I cannot afford to lose my calendar, contacts, etc when I get my new iPhone 5. thanks!

My new iPhone is only being recognized as a camera, everything apple website suggests does not help!
I just bought a new iPhone. When i plug it into my computer the only thing that happens is getting pop up saying its found a camera. Apparently this is normal. But iTunes does not open at all, and when I open iTunes, no matter what I do, my iPhone is unable to be recognized.. which, obviously makes me unable to upload any songs at all.. which defeats the purpose of me even having this phone, because that's why i got it.
I've tried everything apple has suggested. Yes, my cord works. When I plug my regular iPod in, my computer still recognizes that. I have completely uninstalled then reinstalled the latest version of iTunes. Nothing. I've restarted my fully charged Iphone plenty of times. Nothing. I have restarted my computer. Nothing. i love my iphone, but this is VERY frustrating. Please help.This worked for me, impious, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I used it for iOS7 and iTunes 11.1

i recently got a contract sim with talk talk on my iphone 3gs but i cannot send mms using the settings from their websidt and going through them over the phone with talktalk they said the only people to contact is apple any suggestions please
As you haven't responded I assume you are using an old CPW mobile sim in your iPhone ,as Tim has said
CPW ( talktalk) are not an Apple supported carrier and will not support the features of the iPhone
Get a supported sim and you should then get all the features working

Can anyone help me with how to install itunes on windows 8. The apple techs suggestions didn't work. Spent most of today installing and uninstalling itunes according to their instructions. They will charge me again if I call again.
When I run the iTunes64setup.exe it says: "The thingy is not a valid win32 application."
That generally indicates that the installer has been getting damaged on the download.
What web browser have you been using for downloading the iTunes64Setup.exe? Does it make any difference if you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa)? -
Ever since I received my Macbook Pro in July 2011 I've had issues with my wireless connection at home. After software updates, Apple support suggested I reboot my router which works. But now I have to do it every other day. ???? AT&T my DSL carrier suggests I get a new router. Apparently the one I have is really old and doesn't support my Macbook Pro. Does this sound right?
If your using WEP encryption yes, Apple has discontinued that becaues it's worthless. WEP (and WPA) is cracked so encryption makes no sense.
Get a new Wireless N router, set it up with WPA2 (AES) Personal and two different 20+ randon letter/numbersymbol character passwords
One for Admin access only of the router, keep this on paper off all comptuers in a safe someplace.
One for entering into devices, computers etc for Internet Access Only.
You need the long and random password to defeat brute force attacks by GPU software that the hackers have now.
Also if you give out the password to another, they can't hack the network with the guest access password.
Computers remember the internet password, so anyone with access to your machines or network will have the password.
Since you have another Admin only password, they can't hack in. got it?
You don't need "Invisible" or "MAC Address filtering" that's a waste of time as hackers can sniff a network and causes issues getting on the network.

I tried to erase the HD of my Mac; Apple Support suggested to restart the computer pressing cmd + R, then select "Utility Disk", then Mac HD, and choose "Erase", the option "Security Options" should be available, but it was not
I was able to erase the disk and reinstall the OS but not to choose the option to overwrite the disk, as the official Apple Support said previously.
I called again them, this time I was said that with an SSD disk the security option (overwrite the disk) is not available, and that is it, no way out; and they added very kindly that if I sell my Mac, the buyer could bring it to a Tech Center and they could eventually recover the data on it, even though this may be expensive
Is there anyone that has any suggestion to protect the data before selling a Mac; the guys at Apple Official Support did not seem very concerned about thisI was unable to access the laptop last night to create a new user; however my client would perfer not to try a second account since that would make it unusable for him while we test the second profile.
Also John Sophos was installed after this started to verify that it was not a virus/malware (I know pointless step but it has happened to me before) so I don't think that is the problem -

I'm having this problem now with my 2 weeks old iPhone 6+. in the beginning everything going great and managed to connect every wifi around me. Then suddenly 1 week ago, All the wifi from my office, home, hotel and coffee house saying either incorrect password or can't join the wifi. But when i switch on my hotspot from my iPhone 5 it can be connect. i also try with my friend iPhone hotspot. So is it because of hardware problem or software problem. And i just restore my iPhone6+ and still can't connect to wifi and manage to join hotspot (also wifi right?) regret as all my downloaded stuff vanish and now can't download back using wifi.....

I am using Aperture 3 now and I love it. But I would like to purchase or download perhaps some freeware, easy to use photo imaging/editing software with more filters, perhaps layering etc. I don't want something with a very steep learning curve, getting to old for that. My Apple mentor suggests Pixelmator or Gimp ? Are there some others out there? When I was still in the Windows world, I used Photoshop Elements but that is now in my past. Any ideas?
Pixelmator or Gimp are both nice tools for advanced image processing and compositing. I.e. Gimp can do pretty much the same as Phtoshop. You might also have a look at digikam http://www.digikam.org/drupal/download/binary
Digikam is not just an advanced image processing and compositing program, it is also content management system like Aperture or iPhoto.
I also find GraphicConverter a nice tool, but it is not free.
If you want your image editing tools to integrate well with Aperture, I would look first at the available plug-ins, start with the plug-ins offered in the Aperture pull-down menu

I'm still struggling with being able to sync ipad3 and iphone 4s to itunes after upgrading software to ios 6. I've gone through all the recommendations by Apple and suggestions from other forums and nothing seems to work. Help!!!!!
Sounds like you have a battry issue but don't want to believe it.
If a car was running fine on one tank of gas, then you filled it up with another tank of gas and it began to run funny, one might suspect that tank of gas. But let's just say coincidence blew a valve-- would you think the new tank of gas was the culprit?
BUT WAIT!! It just might have been! The gas could have been of higher octane and put more more strain on the valves; you know, like going from 87 octane (OS6) to 93 octane (OS7) and showing you the engine was on the edge of compromise.
Sometimes you have to go with common sense. If everything else is ruled out, it must be the battery. And if it runs fine one moment in OS6 but immediately ***** in OS7, I'd believe my battery was suspect-- though comfy-- in OS6 but the OS7 showed its true power.
Moreover, if you had the answer-- or didn't want to believe someone's more competent advice-- why did you even call? You've already shown that you don't know much when you asked if you could go backwards after setting up the new OS as a new phone.
Additonally, if you're such the know-it-all, but yourself the $29 battery and put it in yourself. It's a piece of cake.

Where can i find my iPhone 'Notes' on my PC? Apple have suggested I don't restore my replacement iPhone from a previous back up as they feel it may be corrupt, but I need my 'Notes'

There are tow ways you can handle this. One is to copy the notes to your computer using iTunes to send them to Outlook. The other would be to create or have an iCloud account so that the notes are synced online and then all you have to do is sign back in to get them. Error report generated but can't send to apple. Suggestions?
Safari was acting funny, kind of lagging. Then it crashed. Tried to submit the error report to apple but it would not work. Suggestions about the problem?
Can't find the error report now, as I have already closed the window. Tell me how to find it and I'll post it if it helps. Thanks.Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.CrashReporter.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash. You should be able to send a report to Apple now. Keep in mind, you will not receive a response from Apple. The reports are channeled to Apple developers.
Crash reports can be found in the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter folder.
