Apple TV Unable to Connec to Server

Everything works on Apple TV, including Airplay, sharing, and connecting to other services. However, each time I try to access my iTunes purchases or make a new purchase, I get the message ,"Apple TV is unable to connect to the servers now. Please try again later." I've verified user id and password, and I'm not having any problems on my notebook, iPod, or iPhone.
I've unplugged the Apple TV and let it sit overnight, but have the same problem. Any suggestions?

I few weeks ago I reset my ATV because Netflix wasn't streaming properly. When it reset, the screen to sign into home sharing came up. I am unable to sign into home sharing and get this message "Unable to connect to server at this time, please try again later". Its been doing this for weeks... I've tried using my husband's apple ID and mine several times. I've reset to factory settings... un plugged wifi and tv... my wifi is working perfectly fine with all other apple products.
I am able to stream netflix over airplay, but I am not able to get any farther than the inition screen that has the "Homesharing" or "settings" button.
What can I do??

TS1424 When trying to purchase and subsequently play programs on Apple TV keep getting message: "Apple TV unable to connect to server at this time. Please try again later." Able to play previews and trailers on Apple TV and able to play programs on Netfli

Last night I was watching programs on Apple TV with only one problem: I was not able to purchase the entire season of "Homeland" but could purchase and watch individual episodes. Today I am able to watch only previews and trailers from iTunes. After attempting to purchase a program I keep getting the message: "Apple TV is. Unable to connect to the server at this time. Please try again later." I am able to watch programs on Hulu, Netflix, etc. without problems.
Any suggestions?

I have a similar problem. After a recent update I cannot access the iTunes Store to resubscribe to Hulu. "Cannot access iTunes Store at this time." Dunno what to do.

Apple TV repeatedly giving message, "Unable to connect to server, please try again."

I'm having a horrible time with the Apple TV I purchased 3 days ago. I'm using it wirelessly, the signal is strong, I've already power cycled the modem and router, but it continues to give the message, "Apple TV unable to connect to server..." It works intermittently. All the other devices in my home are working properly, so I know it's not the internet itself. The ONLY thing that works is restarting the device, but even that only works briefly and before long the connection fails. Does anyone have a genuine solution other than having me restart the device?

I ended up getting a new VMS box as the rep thought that the HDD was going. I am still having latency issues with the remotes and the TV displays. Also there still are times when the signal freezes for a second along with the sound but resumes. The Techs have replaced my splitter and these problems continue.

ICloud email signup: "unable to connect to server"

Trying to sign up for the iCloud email account on iOS6. Whenever I get to set where I submitting my desired name to be added to the "@icloud.com" part, this popup appears saying this
"Cannot Create Apple ID
Unable to connect to server."
what's going on? are their systems down AGAIN?

I just went through this. After many support calls, it turns out my email address I was using to sign up had been used a long time ago for perhaps a MobileMe account. The phone didn't say the address was in use but when I went to sign up online for the AppleID at appleid.apple.com it said it was in use already. I did a password reset and then used that email and password to sign into iCloud on the phone and all worked perfectly.
So, I'd try signing up at appleid.apple.com, and see what happens.

I was running into the same issue for the past few days and decided... Heck, just try the old fashioned way and unplug the thing. Boom. Fixed it. Try unplugging it and doing the old reset and see how that goes.

In Admin Console We are unable to start Managed Server.

In Admin Console When ever we going to Stop the Manged Servers.
1. Environment ----- > Servers ---- > Control ----------- > Mananged Server 1 -----------> Force shutdown
2. Then click refresh button ---- showing "FAILED_NOT_RESTARTABLE"
3. after that when ever we going to start the Managed Server in Admin console
First its Showing ----- Starting
and next its showing ----- FAILED_NOT_RESTARTABLE
4. its not coming to Running State.

I'm having trouble getting my iPhone to connect to the iCloud server to receive mail etc. I've tried several times and I keep getting a message that says "unable to connect to server". Any ideas how I might fix this? Thx...

I would first start with forcing the Mail App to close then attempt to access your account again.

If the issue persists, the easiest way to troubleshoot this issue would be to delete the account and add it back to the iOS device. Below, I have included two e-mail troubleshooting articles. unable to connect to server when trying to update software. I also cannot purchase and download any songs. When i hit the buy button nothing happens.
I did buy and download songs in mid sept, dont know why this happen thanks Jim

When I try to access Apple TV I get the message 'unable to connect to server. Try again later'. I have been trying for a few days and nothing changes

unplug modem and router and reboot.
check setting for network, verify password.
sign in. Enter computer information.
let me know if this works.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

Unable to start iCal Server... am i opening a can of worms?

In Server Admin I'm unable to get iCal server to Start. Pressing start button, it thinks for about a second, then gives up. I went over to Terminal and typed the following command: sudo serveradmin start calendar and the result is: calendar:error = "NOVIRTUAL_HOSTERR" and google didn't return anything of value when searching that string.
The machine is set up as a directory slave using Directory Utility. There is a little green dot assuring me that all is okay. Note, the Users are able to create User blogs on the main server page, so it must be working as far as communicating with the directory server. (Note, i had to use Terminal to change one setting to allow the Blogs to work, by following the steps in this article http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1619 )
I have not yet done anything with Certificates. The SSL option is not checked in the in the iCal Settings in Server Admin. Authentication = Any Method. Host Name = the host name I specified for Apache in the Web Settings of Server Admin.
I also have not done anything with DNS in Server Admin. It is not switched on. And I am not looking forward to hiring someone from Apple tech support to fill in the blanks for six hundred bucks, if that can be avoided. (Unless that is in fact what's wrong?)
I'm not really sure where to start or what to ask other than.. why won't it turn on?
