Apple TV - Using multiple accounts

Is it possible to use Apple TV with two different ITunes accounts and to switch between the two accounts easily? If so, how?

I'm trying to find the answer to this question, too.  I've looked at a lot of other posts that are similar, but they all take a tangent about homesharing and multiple Macs.   The question that I'd like to see answered or should I say the problem I'd like solved is this...
One TV with Apple TV.  The generation that is the little black box (I think it runs a version of iOS, but not sure).  I set this up and autorized it with my account.  I'd like my mom, dad, and brother to be able to authorize thier accounts, too.  If we are all sitting there, I'd like to be able to watch something that my brother purchased.  Later, if we want to watch something I purchased, we should be able to do that with out having to re-authorize my account.  One reason is they might want to watch my content when I'm not present.  The other reason, is that I don't want to 'type' in my password with everybody watching as I enter it.  I don't want everybody to know my password!  I don't want people renting content with my account, which would happen if they new my password.  We don't have a Mac that is sharing content.  It's just the AppleTV and a couple of iPads and iPhones.
I would think we should be able to authorize every ones account in the household and all enjoy that content.  If some one wants to rent or purchase content, they can supply thier password to autorize that purchase.  But everybody in the house should be able to have the AppleTV autorized to play their content.

  • How do I use multiple accounts on the same Mac with Apple TV2?

I have home sharing turned on in two separate accounts on a single MacPro.  When I am logged into both accounts, I can see both accounts' iTunes Libraries available in the AppleTV2.  However, when I try to open each account iTunes Library in the AppleTV2, only one account will open (whichever one I logged into first).  (In other words, I log into Account1 then open iTunes with Home Sharing On, then log into Account2 (while Account1 is still logged on), open iTunes with Home Sharing On. AppleTV2 shows Account1 Library and Account2 Library under Computers, but will only load Account1 Library.  Account2 Library will just cause AppleTV2 to search for the Library then give an error.)  How come AppleTV2 can see both Libraries but will only open one Library?  How can I fix this?
    Thanks,
    zpockets

Thank you for replying.  Both of the accounts are Admin accounts.  The Libraries are kept in the user/music/itunes/itunes media folder on each account.  However, I do use multiple iTunes Libraries on my Account1.  One of the Libraries I use in Account1 is on a separate internal HD.  However, the other Libraries I use in Account1 are stored in user/music/itunes/itunes media folder on the main HD (which hosts both Account1 and Account2).  It doesn't seem to matter whether I am using an iTunes Library on an external drive or the main drive in Account1, I still get the same problem: only account1 library will load.  AppleTV sees that the Account2 Library is there, but it won't load it.

  • Apple tv under multiple account, same computer

I have the apple TV connected under my account log in. My daughter purchased a movie under her account log in. How do i get the movie (from her account log in) to the apple TV (under my account log in)?
Same idea applies to the photos in iphoto under different log in accounts.
    THank you!

An Apple TV cannot sync to a sleeping or shutoff computer; the computer must be on and iTunes must be running. In the case of two accounts on the same computer, I've not seen whether that will work or not, but if it can, it would have to be using Fast User Switching and iTunes would have to be running in her account.
You might instead just want to copy the movie from her iTunes library to yours (copy it first to a shared location like the Shared folder in the Users folder, then just drag it into the iTunes window under your account) and then authenticate your iTunes to her iTunes Store account. Then you don't have to worry about syncing or sharing with multiple accounts on the same system.

  • TS3297 Can I use multiple accounts on one device/ computer?

I'm an American in Japan. I use the American iTunes/App store, but I also want to purchase things in the Japanese store for apps for my MacBook Pro. Can I use both stores? I have a gift card for the JP store, but no account yet. Will both be accepted on my Mac?
I have dollars to my credit in the American store and a 10,000 yen gift card to the Japanese store.

Unfortunately you can't do the logical and convenient thing of authorizing a computer with multiple Adobe IDs that are active simultaneously.
You can authorize accounts from different vendors; one account per vendor.
If you have multiple operating system users set up on the computer,  you can register different OS users as different Adobe Account users.

  • How can i use multiple accounts

I have had my mac.com account for years and have made the majorithy of my itune purchases, apps, etc through that account (still do actually). However, when updating to icloud, I have added a me.com account which has also purchases (especially lately with added storage space on the me.com account.  I want to merge the accounts so that I can have access to my apps, purchased movies, etc. without having to switch back and forth.  Can anyone help me?

At the present time, Apple does not allow you to merge accounts (Apple IDs), nor does it allow you to transfer purchases between IDs to consolidate them.  I'm afraid you'll just have to put up with having multiple IDs.  (I, unfortunately, have 3 myself.)

  • Problem with Audio MIDI Setup using multiple accounts

I'm having a problem with Audio MIDI Setup recognizing all of the MIDI devices on a G4 Tower with a non-administrator account. The main administrator account has no problem seeing anything, but the non-admin account won't see anything. Does it all have to be added in manually, or is there a preferences file to copy over that will take care of this. Failing that, is it a problem with file permissions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know whether this of any help, but there's an identifiable issue with AMS and Digital Performer 5 where DP5 simply won't load with AMS setups configured with previous versions of DP. Which is probably irrelevant to your problem, but ...
What I and other DP users have found we have to do is start with a completely new, blank AMS setup, and reconfigure our devices from scratch, and although this was kind of hit and miss and on the fly (don't really understand what the the issue was, exactly), I think the bottom line was if we used the new AMS setup with DP5 before anything else that might cause its data tables to change, we were ok.
So if you can do it, it might be worth setting AMS to a new blank template, then connecting your interfaces, see how far you get. And always make sure you've got the latest drivers of course, though I'm sure you've done that.
Never used Mbox or 410, but I've an Ozonic which I think uses the same M-Audio firewire drivers as the 410, and don't have any problem with that, FWIW.

I have a gmail account as my default account. I also have a work imap account.
When sending an email from my work account, it initially fails to send. On making it retry, the message is sent.
The message ends up in the recipient's mailbox as having been sent from my default gmail address, and having no content.
    Is anyone else experiencing this?

I should add that I have set the smtp server for my work email to only use my work smtp server, and not fall back to gmail.

  • HT204053 Using multiple accounts for music on one device

My wife and I share an iPad and we both have a music library how can we merge them together instead of bouncing between user accounts?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only log into one iTunes account at a time on an iOS device, you cannot merge accounts.

  • Suggestions for using multiple Accounts

Is that followable? Really I just need suggestoins fo rhte best way to run itunes when using mulitple logins. Any advice would be helpful. thanks

I would like also to be able to let my wife see my itunes when she is logged in to the same computer that my itunes is on. when she logs into her side ofthe computer there aren't any songs on itunes. she has to log into my side of the computer to get songs. how do i share itunes across profiles?

  • What are the options to use itunes with multiple accounts on one computer

I am totally confused; apple phone support seems to have no clue at least the person I spoke to. I want to get two iTunes accounts on one computer, one exists already. I am not sure what apple allows in this case. I was told at a apple store that if you create another PC profile you should be able to get the second iTunes account on the same computer with the new windows profile. There seems to be no info on the discussions board to this issue.
I do not want to share an account and have a second library I think it would be too confusing for the other person. Is this possible?

You can purchase music using multiple accounts within the same Windows profile & using the same iTunes library. I think when you log into the store it remembers the last account name used, but provided you don't let it remember your password then you have the opportunity to enter the correct details for each purchase.
If you're going to place these purchases on your respective iPod's the following may help.
*How to use multiple iPods with one computer*
The Apple support document How to use multiple iPods with one computer suggests a number of ways. I use method two (Sync with selected playlists) with a slight twist. Rather than regular playlists I set the grouping field to indicate which users should receive which tracks and create smart playlists based on the content of this field.
    e.g.
"Alice's Tracks" is "Grouping contains Alice" + "Kind contains audio"
"Bob's Videos" is "Grouping contains Bob" + "Kind does not contain audio"
Tracks that both Alice & Bob want on their iPods have the grouping set to "Alice/Bob"
    etc.
I currently manage our family's five iPods using this system, each getting a different selection to suit their tastes and the capacity of their iPod. An advantage of using the grouping field is that it is stored in file tags (for non-wav audio files anyway) so that it is relatively easy to recreate the playlists should the iTunes library get trashed. Also useful if you move files about manually as playlist membership is preserved when you delete & re-import the tracks.

  • Can you have multiple accounts in one library?

I've had two iTunes accounts for several years now, and it was never a problem on my old laptop--I needed the second account because I wanted to use a giftcard from outside the US, and the credit refused to apply to the US iTunes store.  However, I replaced my computer about a month ago, and the new version of iTunes won't download my iTunes purchases automatically.  When I try, it says it's already associated with another account, and it will add restrictions if I set it to automatically download purchases.  I don't know what this means, but I'd like a way around it.  I don't want to have multiple libraries (which seems to be the only way I've seen other people on the forum use multiple accounts); there's music on both accounts that I listen to all the time.  I've been stuck working off of two computers for a month now, and it's getting frustrating.  Help?

To elaborate a bit more. The public class must match the filename, however you can declare "inner" classes.
An inner class can be declared inside another class, or even inside another method. Where you declare that class dictates the scope it will have. However, the lack of an ability to declare these classes public (a public class must be declared inside a java file with the same name), means that they are not visible anywhere else. However, they do still have plenty of uses.
Declaring a class inside a method is used rarely, but would look something like
public void foo(Bar myBar = new Bar
            private String baz = "Hello";
            public String doSomething()
                 return baz;
         myBar.doSomething()
}This declares and implements the class Bar inside the method header. Sure, this is a pretty useless example, but you could put any methods or variables inside your inner class, and they would be available only during execution of that method. (ie. only have method scope).

  • Better management of multiple accounts on Mail.app

When using multiple accounts on Mail.app, it is possible to have different colors for each account, so that it is easier to avoid sending email from the wrong account?

You're undoubtedly better off to set the mail on the server to forward to your central account, and only maintain one account in Mail. Trying to set up rules in Mail to download mail and then forward it is just going to become cumbersome, and runs the risk of creating some kind of infinite mail loop. (For example, someone sends something to one address, it gets forwarded but for some reason your primary account's mailbox is full. The other address gets the bounce notification and forwards it back to the primary, which generates another bounce... you see where this is going, I'm sure.

  • Delivery cost with multiple account assignment

    Dear SAP gurus,
I found a problem in here. In my company we are using multiple account assignment in PO with multiple asset entered in one line. This PO actually will have customs and delivery cost inside of it, however it is not know at the time of PO creation. When the forwarder send the goods, sometimes the shipment can contain more than one PO as well, thus it is impossible to determine the exact value of delivery cost at the time of PO creation.
When the goods are delivered in the FOB point, the vendor deliver goods will send the invoice for goods, and when the goods delivered to our warehouse, then the forwarder will deliver the invoice for the delivery cost. So there is no sequence of the invoicing. Sometimes the goods are invoice earlier than the delivery cost, sometimes it is later.
My requirements are to make sure that the delivery cost is being posted to the asset account of the goods that are being delivered in the PO. I have tried these options:
    a. Planned delivery cost inside the PO --> when posting invoice for planned delivery cost, got error message that there is no delivery cost in the PO. I think this is because of the multiple account assignment because when creating PO and inputting the delivery cost i do get warning that no delivery cost for multiple account assignment,
    b. Unplanned delivery cost --> ONLY work if the invoice for delivery cost and goods are being posted as one document, which is not the case in here.
    c. Separate PO for delivery cost --> got issue in which the person who supposed to create the PO for delivery cost, would not have any idea what asset no to be used (worse --> if the asset is being delivered partially).
Do you have any idea of what to be done in this case? Please help.
    Best regards,
    John.

See  while making the invoice for the delivery cost you have selected the aggreation as planned delivery cost and in the PO you have not maintained the deilvery conditions .The pricing conditions which you have maintained must ebe  have condition category - delivery cost .The system will not give thr message thhat you have not mainatined the delivery cost .If you have condition as mandatorty it will show that the conditions ( mandatory) are not maintain. In order to maintain the delivery cost you have to check your conditions whether they are delivery cost related conditins and if then maintain there values in PO and check while doing invoice you will get.
You have also the option of entering the delivery cost at time of the Invoice as unplanned delivery cost ...........
Just check your conditions which you have maintained the calculation schema as delivery conditions and maintain the values and do the invoice proceesing .
It is not advisableto cretae the sepearted PO for the delivety cost as it is not good way of doing the proceess.

  • Copy function for multiple account assingment (cost distribution)

    Hello,
We are using multiple account assignment to enter different asset no for each quantity in same line item. Other fields like G/L account remains same.. Is it possinble to copy the value from one asset to all the assets in same line item. The function of copy in clip and inset from clipboard works only for different items not for multiple account assignments...
In R/3 there is function to copy and paste in case of multiple account assignment but could not find the same in SRM.
    Any solution????
    We are in SRM 4.0...
    Amit

    Hello,
During PO replication from SRM to R/3, customizing from OME9 is not read and "Partial invoice indicator" is always defaulted to "1" when item has a multiple account assignment.
This behaviour can be overwritten by implementing:
    - either BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI for method BBP_MAP_BEFORE_BAPI,
    - or BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI for method BBP_B46B_PO_OUTBOUND.
So, no need to take care of OME9 customizing.
    Regards.
    Laurent.
