Apple TV vs. iPhone
I want to stream Netflix and other media to my TV. I'm not interested in viewing my photos and do not have much media saved to my Mac. How much better is Apple TV for this than the new iPhone, if making calls is not an issue? I have 2 TV's and it seems like the iPhone would be easier to move to different rooms in the house and a better overall investment for the money.

Firstly, the iPhone cannot stream to a TV set, it would need the Apple TV in between for that. Secondly, you would need to connect the phone to your TV with a cable which would restrict your maximum resolution to 720p.

iPhone 6 problem
I had connectivity issue (WiFi) with my iPhone 6 and I called Apple to setup repair. They were very nice in helping me out to resolving the issue. But when it didn't work, they setup a repair and sent me an empty box in which I shipped my faulty iPhone 6 back.
Customer care and manager
Everything was super fast, but I missed the email "We got your repair request" as it was just an email which states that they received the request. But later after shipping I was going through the repair emails and I saw that the name on the "We got your repair request" was wrong. I immediately called Apple support and told them that they have my name wrong in the repair request. Apple support personal was confused and she immediately handed the phone to her manager. The manager spoke with me for quite a few minutes trying to see what went wrong in that email. I thought that it was a small issue (just the name in email), but with managers involved I was a bit worried. The confusing was, the box I received had my name and address. But the email had some other guy's name.
The biggest problem for me was that my repair iPhone may get shipped to the person on email. And I was traveling abroad in few weeks and wanted to make sure that the address issue is resolved before I leave on my vacation. I explained the issued and request Apple support manager to make sure that the product gets shipped at my address. Multiple times. And he assured me that everything looks good and I should relax.
Repair
Later the same night someone from Apple repair team sent me an email with questionnaire to fill about how to generate the issue and many other things. I explained them the issue and told them steps to follow to regenerate the same problem. Next morning I received an email that my they were able to get the same issued in their test and they will be sending me a replacement product. Following this email, maybe an hours later, I received another email stating my replacement product has been shipped.
Replacement product shipment and the mess
Once I saw that email, I was like wow! I was able to see the value in being an owner of Apple product. I was tracking the shipment as it was an expensive product and needed a signature confirmation. It was a next day Fedex shipment and the wait wasn't long. I was checking the status time to time and suddenly on the next check it showed that the product was delivered. I went back running to my mailbox and found nothing. I checked it everywhere and there was nothing. I immediately called Fedex and explained the issue. But when they assured me that the shipment was delivered with signature confirmations, I was like what!!! I said I didn't sign!!! They said can you please repeat your address? I did, and they said, this is not the address that Apple shipped the product to! We have a different address on file. I asked, what is the address? They said, we can't give you the address, only shipper (Apple) can ask details on that.
Post mess communication with Apple (current situation)
When ever it comes to Apple, I am assured that the problem with be solved. Atleast that is my experience after using Apple products (MacBook, iPhone, iPad) from last 7 years. So I was assured that the issue with be solved and I will receive my iPhone 6!. But till now, the issues is not looking good. The manager on call says that there file shows that the product was shipped to my address and I should contact Fedex. But Fedex says they won't disclosed the detail address as only shipper can do that. They were only willing to tell me if the address I am telling is the address on file or not. On repeating my address to Fedex (which was the same return shipment address I had on them email received from Apple) Fedex confirmed that Apple didn't ship to that address.
Fedex is not willing to give me the address. Apple is not willing to help me and want me to check with Fedex. The Manager looking at my case at Apple is assuring that the product was shipped at the same address that was in the email. I was frustrated and even called Apple personal as a liar. Which I think I was not professional, and will apology. But it is a $700 phone, I am a student and I don't know what to do as no one is helping me. I am totally screwed. I am thinking to further this issue by contacting some of the logistic/service/customer care executives of Apple on LinkedIn if they can help. Or anyone have any better idea?

You are going to have to escalate this with Fedex. Call and ask to speak to manager. -
Hi Apple Team, my iphone can't share bluetooth files with my macbook pro. But other devices can share bluetooth files with my mac book pro. Please, kindly open up bluetooth to accept all connections from all devices. Now it difficult for me to share bluetooth files from my mac bookpro to my iphone, unless i attached it through email.
We need it to be acceptable to all devices.

That should keep the 2 of you separated, except for iTunes purchases. You can share that ID in a family up to 5 devices. -

Went to Settings where?
If you want to use your exisiting Apple ID on your iPad, you need to:
1. Go to Settings>iTunes & App Store and sign out the new ID, and then sign on the old one
2. Go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and delete the iCloud account, and the sign back onto iCloud using the old ID
You still have not indindated why you are saying that using your old ID originally "didn't work". What do you mean by that? Did you get some sort of error when you tried to sign on with your exisiting Apple ID?

If you mean iPhoto on your phone use AirPlay if your phone supports mirroring, if you mean iPhoto on your computer, you can't do it from your phone. -
I have a family of seven. Five of us all have Apple Ipods or Iphones. Everytime there is a new update for itunes or any of us try to plug our devices into the computer to hook up to itunes we all have problems or it won't let us!...It's getting to the point that we don't want to continue spending hundreds of dollars on Apple products that keep giving us problems. How can this problem be fixed???!!!
What is the problem? We cant help if you dont tell us what the problem is.
Do you get an error message? Do you plug the devices in and nothing happens? Is content not syncing?

How do I create one Apple ID and iTunes user name and password for all of my Apple products: iPad, iPhone, and iPod plus iTunes on my PC?
Yes, I do have multiple devices and it appeared to me that every time I tried to sync or log onto iTunes, the password was incorrect. Consequently, I was and am constantly changing it. Wouldn't it be nice if Apple would simply say that you only need one Apple ID and one password regardless of the number of Apple devices you intend to sync via iTunes.
Barring the above, how about a way to merge all of the Apple IDs and passwords into one. -

Apple can fix it without your receipt or box. They pull the serial number from the device and determine warranty status from that. Hopefully ApplCare was registered to the product before you lost the receipt though. If not, you can go back to the point of purchase and obtain your AppleCare receipt and Apple can help attach it to the iPhone.

I just got an apple at&t iphone 4 and I have it unlocked. But I want to connect it to t-mobile, so I trimmed my sim card and once the phone was unlocked I inserted the sim and it says no sim, activation error. What can I do to fix this? What is wrong?

Apple offers an Extended Warranty called AppleCare.

- Did you purchase the device from Apple or an authorized reseller? If not, then you were scammed.
- It means you bought a gray market phone that was replaced, reported lost, or reported stolen, then re-sold illegally. It has no warranty and Apple will not service it with an out of warranty replacement.
- If your phone was replaced, it was most likely refurbished.
- You cannot tell the difference between a refurbished phone and a new one.
- check your serial number if its starts with 5K then its refurbished model
Not true. All it does is identify it as 'service stock'. It may be refurbised, or it may be new. There is no way for you, or even someone at an Apple Store, to tell the difference.
6 - You bought a phone that was stolen, lost, or taken in for repair and then re-sold illegally. get your money back if you can.
If there is ever a hardware problem that requires service, you will most likely not be able to get it serviced or replaced by Apple.
7- During the refurbishment process the devices are assigned a new serial number.
8- This means that your iPhone was replaced by Apple and you entered the serial number for your old iPhone which was replaced.
9- That means that particular phone has been replaced under warranty. Where did you get the phone from? If it was used, the previous owner may have had it replaced and not returned it to Apple as they were supposed to and sold it.
10- Interpreting what you postd, it would seem you had the device replaced at some earlier stage. Apple doesn't repair but instead replaces the whole unit with a refurbished unit which has its own serial number. Whatever the case, you will have to see Apple about the matter.
