Apple tv will only let me go to diagnostics page and wont start

Please help. My appletv constantly turns on and goes to the language and resolution settings (and asks me to restore or run diag or restart).. running diagnostics says it is fine.. and it won't let me restore (says it is unable to do a restore and back to same page). if i restart, same issue..
UGGH.. Here is a tip. I did change my router and had set up apple tv for static IP address. I don't recall what it is, so perhaps it is trying to find that IP address and my router assigns dns.. i have no idea how to go and try to change the network settings or anything else, other than the looped pages i get.. spending HOURS.. uggh again i tried unplugging my ethernet, the router, etc. not sure if there is a trick to get to that page. I feel if it isnt some other issue then all i need to do is even let it use the wireless connection or change my network settings. anyone?

Hi. I am afraid I did. In fact after setting up the new router (well old one factory restored) and having many fast power outages (I kept turning off av room power while trying to reboot another component) I went into iTunes and atv showed but wouldn't sync. That is an age old issue. I couldn't do my normal trick to get it to sync. When rebooted pc apple tv wouldn't show so I decided to delete it. Had to delete it indeed from the pref pain in iTunes. When I went to tv to have it connect to iTunes and start all over I saw it was in recovery mode...perhaps for hours. I have no hdmi and tried rebooting it with and without Ethernet. Possible the power stops corrupted HD? If so not sure why diagnostics say all works well. Any ideas,

You can upgrade direct from 10.6.8 to 10.8 Mountain Lion without going through 10.7 Lion with the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody. The Model 5,1 will probably run 10.9 Mavricks when it comes out.
10.8 Mountain Lion is a download from the App Store, the price is $19.99.
Mountain Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.

Also Mountain Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Mountain Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors in 2006 they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. There used to be a 'buy all' button on the wish list screen but for some reason that has been removed from the current version of iTunes so you will need to buy each item individually. You can try leaving feedback for Apple and maybe it'll be added back in a future update : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

Upgraded to Lion, CS3 programs will only let me open 1 photo per session, what gives?

Just upgraded to Lion from Snow Leopard. Now my CS3 Creative Suite programs will only let me open one picture per session. I then have to completely close out of photoshop or illustrator or whatever and reopen to open another picture. Any suggestions before I have to take my computer to the apple store.

http://roaringapps.com/ show some people having problems with various things. Have you tried reinstalling CS3? If that doesn't work, restore from a backup if needed to stay in production until a solution or an upgrade can be worked out.
I'm not sure the Apple Store will troubleshoot 3rd party software that is 3 versions old.

Yes, but if you delete the iCloud account and start again, don't you have to wait 90 days for everything to start syncing?? I've been having this problem for months and no one seems to be able to figure it out. I used to have one Apple ID (which was not an email address) and then when iOS came along....and iCloud, they force you to use your email address as ID ....which actually sets up a SECOND Apple ID. I have a Mac, iPad, iPod touch and iPhone. the Apple techs tried to delete the iCloud accounts so that they all said the same thing (email address ID) but then I had to wait 90 days. the 90 days just passed and nothing is automatically syncing yet. I still think there are 2 accounts but if I delete all again.....it's going to be another 90 days (for security reasons, I was told). This is a real pain in the butt.

Thanks Alex, but sadly I already tried that. Neither .docx or .xlsx files show up in the content list. They both show as a Chrome HTML document so changing how Firefox addresses those doesn't help since it thinks its the same type of file. I don't think I can manually add files into the "Content Type" left side nav.

Here are the steps for AirPlay:
Before starting Azul from your (running iOS 5.x/6.x) home screen where have have all your apps we need to turn on mirroring
On your iPhone 4S/5 or iPad 2 or 3, double-click the Home Button to view your recently-used apps.
Swipe all the way to the right to until you see the icon.
Note: If the icon does not appear, go to the "If AirPlay Mirroring is not visible or available on your mobile iOS device" section.
Tap the icon to see the list of available AirPlay devices.
Enable AirPlay Mirroring in this menu by tapping on an available Apple TV, then sliding the Mirroring slider to ON.
Now you should be seeing your iPad/iPhone on your TV.
Start up Azul now and using the settings icon on the top right corner go to the option that say "TV out" ON.
When you do that you will see an Orange screen
Now click "Done" and play the video you want to watch and it will AirPlay

I would say yes. I once had the same problem (iPhone 5, IOS 7) and first restored to factory settings and after that from iCloud backup.
It worked very well.
