Apple TV Wireless always disconnects

My apple TV never stays connected. Anyone else having these problems. I am using an airport extreme. I can get it to connect and the next day or so it is always disconnected and I have to reset my appleTV and router in order to get it connected again. What gives!!!

Yes there are a few that suffer continuous connection failures, not sure that everyone resolves the issue, those that do seem to do it in differing ways.
What sort of wifi network are you using and what sort of security, have you tried changing channels to eliminate interference.
Is the failure random or would you say it stayed connected for the same amount of time each time.

Please help to assist my issue.I used Cisco Wireless LAN Controller model: 5508 with version 7.0.98.0 and I got issue with connection always disconnect ping always loss or some time client can't get DHCP from Controller.
- I configure as Internal DHCP Server with 1 SSID.

My wireless mouse disconnects after a long sleep, and only rebooting machine makes it come back.

My wireless mouse disconnects after a long sleep time, always overnight, and pushing buttons, replacing batteries, etc. doesn't wake it up again. I have to reboot the machine, sometimes losing data, in order to make it work again. I am kinda new to mac, so hopefully I am just missing something easy.

Apple tv lag and disconnecting from macbook pro

I have an apple TV connected to the projector in my room. I connect my macbook pro to the apple tv wirelessly (obviously). There is an airport in the hallway (maybe 20 yards from me), and I am on a network. I have videos downloaded from the internet on my computer that I want to show my students on the projector. Sometimes it works. However, more times than not, there is a lag, the video freezes (audio continues to play usually). Sometimes the apple tv just disconnects (which means reconnecting it and re-selecting my speaker -- total pain!). I need something reliable that I can count on to use with my classes! So far, Apple TV is not it.
Also, for some reason I cannot put a DVD in the drive and have it play on through apple TV to the projector. Something about not being able to change over display?
I could really use some help, I'm really frustrated. I teach K-5th, one after the other, and I have different curriculum for each -- it is hard to have enough back up when the apple tv does not work.

Sorry for the late reply. Don't have access to Internet afterhours for a fortnight. Anyway, back to topic.
A couple of questions: I supposed that PC Suite can only detect your N70, the first time the connection was set up. (Or is it that only the first time after your laptop/PC reboots?)
Can you also try this? On the second attempt to connect:
1. Right click on PC Suite tray icon, select "Synchronise".
2. Click "Select Phone".
3. Click "Connection...". Ensure that bluetooth connection(s) is/are selected. (For my LifeBook, the "Bluetooth (Toshiba)" will go unchecked whenever I turned off the Wireless switch to off.) Click "Close".
4. Click "Refresh". This may take a while, typically under a minute and sometimes a couple of retries.
These are my ritual steps to get bluetooth connection to my N80. ^_^;

FIOS and Wireless Connection Disconnecting

I now have Verizon FIOS and only on my MacBook Pro the wireless keeps disconnecting after 5 minutes of inactivity. I tried testing connectivity on a Windows laptop and on an iPad and there are no issues. I called VZ and they said this is an Apple Macbook issue as they ran diagnostics and all the tests and configurations were all set correctly. Does anyone else have this issue and is there any solution?

Sounds like an issue on your laptop. Can you ping anything outbound? It sound like the DNS on your laptop is not connecting properly, or the network arp cache is hosed. If you're using XP or Vista you should be able to "repair" the network connection without having to restart the laptop -- this is essentially what a restart will do for you relative to network issues without having to restart. Right click on the network icon in the right toolbar area and select Diagnose and Repair.

Fn key is not working on Apple compact wireless keyboard

The fn key is not working on my Apple compact wireless keyboard. Keyboard Viewer shows the keyboard (incorrectly) as having a number pad but no fn key. How do I fix this? I'm running OSX 10.5.8.

Unfortunately my old Mini does not have wireless capability. So I could not test the keyboard.
I did however find two preferences files. I suggest you find them and trash them.
Disconnect the keyboard first. Then find the two .plist files. They are:
com.apple.KeyboardViewerServer.plist - this is in Users / yourself / Library / Preferences.
The other is: com.apple.keyboardtype.plist - this is in Library (root level) / Preferences.
After trashing both these, it's a good idea to restart the computer, and then once again pair the keyboard.

Be sure that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.If unable to do so, see this article.

Restart your iOS device.

Always disconnecting

I always try and go on but it always disconnects aand says,"Lost Connection with Aim." What the heck. Why is it doing this? Firefox and all internet stuff works fine.

I am a network admin for a small business and we are experiencing similar issues with our iChat. All of my users most on Intel MBP and a few on PPC PB are experiencing the same issue. I have tried changing the server port and still I end up disconnected after about 10 min. I have also tried using adium with similar results. I have connected to the network via our apple basestaion and wired directly into our symantec firewall. I am at a loss right now on solutions to the problem.
At Ralphs ichat FAQ http://www.ralphjohnsuk.dsl.pipex.com/page16.html there is a problem identified with ichat and apple remote desktop which I need and have enabled, but no information on a fix or workaround. I have tried to disable the remote desktop and it still has the same issue.

If this is active in System Preferences > Sharing > Services tab it causes problems for iChat. Produces a non comnnection or a 1fps problem.
If anyone has any suggestions please help!

I don't know why my iPad always disconnect the Internet at home? While I use my iPod that it connect the Internet at home very strength, last month I brought iPad to the apple store at fashion valley to ask, one young man told me that because the Internet signal at my house is not strong. But if it not strong, my laptop and my iPod work fast.

Well, I was expecting some help other than "go to Google." You can't offer any suggestion besides that? No troubleshooting? Aren't you an Apple expert? I thought I'd come here for advice first.
I am aware Apple and all electronics manufacturers consider their devices unserviceable, but I wasn't about to pay Apple or a shop $200 to fix the screen.

Look on one of your bank statements and be sure to enter the billing address exactly as it shows on the statement. Some folks forget where they actually get the statement. They put their home address in iTunes/Mac App Store and they actually get the statement at their place of employment or vice versa.

Well if you use the Finder Go menu to Computer, a window opens up double click on your boot drive and then on Users folder, open the other user folder and open Public and drop your files into DropBox
When you do this it will copy them and change the permissions and user assigned to it, so log into the other user and place them into your respective normal folders.
Once you have all your files over and don't need the old user, use System Preferences > Accounts to delete it if you wish, however it's good two Admin accounts on the machine in case something bad happens in the other. Some people for security reasons on use a Standard account for most uses and a emergency Admin account.
One can still do most Admin things in Standard user.
