We have a family plan in which both lines are available to upgrade. Good thing, too... as the phones are almost dead. However, the gf wants the iPhone 4s, I would like the Droid Prime (when/if it comes out). Her phone is worse off than mine, so I'd like to pre-order the iPhone 4s, while waiting to upgrade my line (the primary line). If I do upgrade only her line, since it's a new 2-yr agreement, would I lose out on my ability to upgrade, and/or the $30 credit towards the upgrade on my line?

I have similar problem, my apple tv which has always worked properly with my Samsung tv will no longer play any audio after the latest 5.1 upgrade. Very frustrating as it was working perfectly before. I am starting to not trust apple upgrades until proven for example ios6 on iPhone with that stupid map app instead of google maps.
I just want to buy and hear my iTunes music and videos on my apple tv, could before cant now. Thank you apple. Time to pack up the apple tv and start torrenting without the ios-bs.

Try going to synching in the sources menu on your tv and selecting 'change itunes library', when it gives you the passcode check itunes to see if the tv is showing up as a new device, if so try entering the pass code. It may be that your tv is seeing itunes as a different library because of a recent upgrade. -
MacBook Pro doesnt start. When I start my lap top, it shows the apple and the line uploading but it only goes like to 1/3 and then it goes blank for some seconds, then it turns off by itself and turn on again and happen the same, apple logo, line .. the noise like-fan going on, then turn off and turn on again. Tried starting holding option command P and R key and didnt work either. Starting to think I have lost all my data inside

I have multiple lines for family members on my account. Can I still transfer upgrades between lines? I don't see the option any more.
More everything. I have one line coming up on the 19th of this month and I'd like to transfer to another user with a later upgrade date. Just not seeing the option anywhere.

My iphone 5s wont turn on. I tried to recover it through itunes and it didnt work. It said that due to an error my phone could not be restored. However when I plug it into itunes via my computer it turns on, I get the apple, the white line beneath it???? As soon as I remove it from the computer it goes completly off again???????

Still getting conflicting answers about upgrading a line to smart phone
A the risk of incurring the ire of some people, I simply feel compelled to restate my question about converting a basic (existing line) phone to a smart phone after 6/28. My question is sincere not asked in a cynical way, and I am still unsure of the answer because of differing answers even within the official ranks of verizon. I understand all the elements of the 'awesome' new share plan (even though I prefer to avoid it for now). So, if anyone knows where to find the specific documentation that refers to this would you please offer links to said documents. Direct answers, even from people who Identify themselves as support personnel (here in forums) have as recently as yesterday, been shown wrong. While I offer thanks to anyone just for the effort of replying I would prefer authoritative responses, and here again, individuals have (as often as support reps) given accurate answers. Simply stated once more I would like to know "When I need to upgrade my daughters phone In AUGUST, from a basic phone to a smart phone will verizon allow me to purchase the phone upgrade AND add 2gb data package for 30$". There would seem to be no ambiguity in the question, however in the face of opposing answers it just defies logic . The ONLY reason I am confused is because verizon reps have at been odds with each other. Documents are more reassuring and if anyone can offer links I would appreciate it. I have even considered acquiring a phone from outside vzw but had been told even that avenue would not allow me to add a data package to my EXISTING account. Truth oh truth how illusive thou be.
P.S. strictly for the sake of discussion, I will say that my viewpoint of the low quality of VZW customer service reflects this and other instances of inaccurate and false answers from this company. As a Verizon Wireless customer you have choices when you upgrade at discounted pricing. You can choose from a standalone data package starting at $30 for 2GB or a Share Everything Plan. If keeping unlimited is important to you, you can choose to upgrade and pay full retail price for the phone."
I imagine that this would be the same as upgrading a basic phone to a smart phone. You can add a data package to the line you are upgrading (that it currently does not have) and it won't affect the unlimited on your Droid's line(s). It's only when you try to upgrade the lines that currently have unlimited that you won't be able to keep the unlimited data. You can choose to move everybody on the plan to a shared data plan, or move to a tiered data plan. You just can't keep unlimited when you upgrade at a discounted price. -
How can I get back to the Home Page? I hit reset and lost everything. I have a dark screen with the white apple and a line under it.
Wait until it finishes restoring. It would be a good idea to connect it to the charger so it won't run out of power during this process.

I currently have a Mac Pro 1.1 3.0 GHz quard core, running 10.6.8 with a x1900 ATI grphics card. I want to upgrade the graphics cabibilty in this awesome machine.
I have seen and read posts about people putting in the "Apple upgrade kit" and it working just fine, but my qestion is can you get a ATI 5770 for $80 and it work fine just with no boot screen? Need some help on this issue before i spend the cash.
So again im asking would this card work for the Mac Pro 1.1 running 10.6.8? All that looks different is it had 2 DVI ports insead of one, and it doenst have the huge support bar that Apples does. Please let me know that you guys think.

Upgrading EDGe line and transferring phone to a different line
Hey guys, I currently have one line on the EDGE program that is eligible for an edge upgrade - however, when I upgraded that line to the edge program back in Feb 2014, I did it for use on a different line on my account (basically used another line's upgrade) Now I'm wanting to use the edge upgrade again for the same 2nd line I previously used it for, and am wondering how to go about doing that. I specifically wanted to do the purchase online, which is what I'm leary about - whether or not I could use the upgrade for a different line if purchased online. I really don't have the time to go to a Verizon retailer, considering all the Verizon stores in my area consistently have wait times of atleast an hour (when I last upgraded in-store, I was there a total of 3 1/2 hours). Hoping someone can walk me through how I would go about this transaction.

After accepting the new Apple upgrade to iOS 7.1 on my iPhone 4S, I cannot remove the half month calendar view to show only the daily view. Help!
Before you panic, try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists. -

What exactly do you mean by a "very good deal"? Discounts for BOTH lines??
If only one line is eligible for an upgrade, then you can only get a discounted phone for that line. You can get a new phone for the in-eligible line if you pay full price.
You'll be able to take advantage of the BOGO deals and other discounts when BOTH lines are eligible. -
Mavericks problems now SOP for Apple upgrades?
Up until a year or so ago I have always found Apple upgrades to be relatively straightforward. Maybe a few peculiar issues related to the particular setup of my Mac - sometimes the laptops would have an issue sometimes my iMac - but in general a few minutes tweaking would sort it out.
However Mavericks seems to continue a trend started by iOS 6 and strongly continued by iOS 7, that upgrades that cause so many problems that they are unworkable. I am beginning to think this malaise has become the new norm for Apple. My iPhones have become subject to frequent BSOD and now Mavericks is one of the worst "upgrades" I have ever seen. My Smart Mailboxes are a complete mess. My general mailbox is not as I would wish to see it and in particular my Gmail accounts are trashed. How did this get out of Cupertino? Did anyone bother testing with anything that might be used in the real world, like Gmail?
I've rolled back to Mountain Lion and will await a proper release of Mavericks.
But be warned Apple - I (and I reckon many more former Apple fans too) am not prepared to put up with the shoddy upgrades much longer. My friends/colleagues tell me how wonderful MSFT has become and how the lessons of the Windows era have been learnt - not sure I quite believe it, but it does seem Apple is intent on following a similar catastrophic learning path when it comes to upgrades.I'm happy for you Barney but certainly from my perspective I do not agree that the past year's upgrades have been "nothing different". A short overview of this community will show that there are major issues for many people.
When you move from being a computer user's platform of choice to mass market (as Apple has clearly done) there is a lot more care required with upgrades.
I do not want a platform which needs tweaking after every upgrade - especially if all my applications are downloaded from the Apple App Store. I have an expectation that Apple has ensured these apps are compatible across upgrades or I am notified that they are not.
If you want to sell a premium product then it needs premium upgrades not poorly validated ones.
Smart Mailbox is a premium OSX feature and it is not working at all after this upgrade. I can see all the messages sitting on the servers but Mail refuses to list them in the SM. That is not a Gmail issue it is an Apple Mail issue and a pretty simple issue to check. And yes of course I've carried out all the rebuilds to try to recover the SMs but no avail. I'm nor trying Mavericks on a backup machine to see if it works any better with that but my working machines are staying on Mountain Lion for now.
You are fortunate your iOS devices work, certainly out of the 4 iPhones (2 5s and 2 4s) and 2 iPads I have here, the 4's and iPads work fine but the 5s are BSODed. Same app suites on the iPhones so that strikes me as a compatability issue.
Anyway my point remains valid - for 6 years since I changed all my laptops and desktops to Apple I have had no issues with any upgrade. Now in the past year I have issues with iOS and now with OSX.

Also, you didn't mention anything about the black tape holding all these tiny parts in place?
Video's also seem to leave/conveniently forget about that part too:(
Then again I actually upgraded my ram without removing any of the tape or actually removing the optical drive/housing covering the ram although it's trickier and you have to have small/steady fingers. Also, that's one reason it took me longer.
p.s. I'd also love to see pics of the bottom of you mac mini after you opened it up although considering how quick you open it up your probably don't care about scratching it up?
