Apple wireless mouse not working in Windows 7

I have Windows 7 loaded in Boot Camp and, for the most part, it works perfectly.
However, neither my Magic Mouse nor my Super Drive work ... at least, not immediately.  My wireless Apple keyboard works perfectly and instantly, but my mouse only works after around a half hour after Windows opens and I haven't gotten the drive to work yet.
Any suggestions?
I'm flying a new iMac, 2.7 GHz Core i5, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, running Mountain Lion.

I had the exact same problem as you did (less the drive) Kybd ok mouse didn't work, after installing Updates for Win 7 (about 100+ lol) then my BT kybd stopped working
In the Bootcamp Discussions there is a post about that. The post I didn't bookmark (i will from now on) but I followed this instruction posted (I copied & pasted to Notes)
"Control Panel > Device Manager > Network Adapters > Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter (right click and choose "Properties". Under the "Advanced" tab, highlight the setting named "Bluetooth Collaboration", then change it to Enable. Then click OK."
After that wasn't working yet so, I went to start menu selected Devices & Printers...(if I recall), in the window selected "Magic Mouse icon (it was always showing but not working)  right click & selected "Properties"  for Magic Mouse, don't remember which tab it was but a driver was listed I checked it and clicked ok after a couple of minutes both the BT mouse and kybd worked and hasn't stopped since.
Sorry for lack of precise instruction, not exactly a techie, but can handle myself somewhat in front of a screen & kybd.
Hope this helps, it did for me, good luck

  • Apple Wireless mouse and keyboard with Windows on iMac Intel

    Hi there!
Is it possible to use the Apple Wireless mouse and keyboard on the iMac Intel running Windows XP?
My bluetooth setup assistant can't find any of them.
    Thanks!

Actually if You Use the wireless mouse during the setup for windows it works fine the only drawback it that using the wireless mouse on windows is that it drains the battery more quickly than Mac OS X does. So make sure you have extra batteries around

  • Apple wireless Mighty Mouse not working in Windows XP Pro/Boot Camp

I was able to get Windows XP Pro to install successfully on my new iMac, but I can only get a wired Microsoft USB mouse to work with it. When I boot to WinXP with just my wireless Mighty Mouse, the wireless mouse is completely unresponsive. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a solution? Thanks!

Why not post in the Boot camp forum:

  • Magic mouse and aluminum wireless keyboard not working in windows 7

Aluminum wireless keyboard (fully upgraded firmware as of 2/19/2010) not working, or magic mouse. Both from Apple Store, not amazon or ebay.
No error shown for magic mouse, only "connecting to device" for 15 minutes now.
With keyboard, at times it shows an error, but sometimes it lets me type a passkey. It doesn't recognize the passkey although it's saying it's paired, it doesn't work.
    Help?

Getting Bluetooth set up initially in Bootcamp is a bit of a hit and miss affair in my experience, but persistence pays off, and connection is reliable. I gave up with the keyboard on my Mac Pro at one stage, tried again a few days later and it worked.
    How did you do it?
Persistence and repetition, reading lots of threads and getting snippets from various sources, can't recall any silver bullets.
Have you searched this forum, there are a LOT of posts on the subject.
Links please? I can't find any.
If you type "bluetooth" in the search box while at the top level of the Bootcamp section you will get six pages of hits. Here are just a few, not necessarily the best or a complete list or in any particular order, but they contain relevant info.
I can't remember the detail now but one of the key steps for me was launching the bluetooth "service" mentioned in some of these links. Initially option wasn't appearing at all. Also mine (and others) seems to need a single click after boot to be activated. If you try and move it before a click it won't respond so you might think it wasn't working.
BTW I am assuming you have successfully installed the Boot Camp 3.1 drivers?

  • Apple airport express wireless printing not working on Windows

I have installed the Airport Utility v 5.5.3 and Bonjour Printer Wizard on my Windows XP (SP3) machine. I have successfully set up the router, but am unable to print wirelessly. In the utility, I see my printer and have selected the checkbox Share printers over WAN. I have the driver printers installed on a Windows laptop, but am unsuccessful printing from the laptop.
I read somewhere that I need to set the Internet > Connection Sharing to Off (Bridge Mode). I did that and then got the following error and then can't connect to the internet via the router at all:
An error occurred while trying to access the Apple wireless device. Make sure your network connection is valid and try again. Error -6753.
I have tried setting up Bridge Mode several times and ensured my virus protection and firewall were disabled, but always the same results, so I reset my router and am back to using the Internet > Connection Sharing option of Share a public IP address.
The whole reason I bought this router is because it is supposed to be easy for wireless printing, but this has been far from easy to set up. So frustrating. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your quick response. Yes, I have Bonjour Print Services installed. I thought I had to select Share printers over WAN for some reason. Just now I deselected this setting, updated the utility and wireless printing still does not work .

  • F# keys on Apple Wireless Keyboard not working correctly.

    Hello everyone,
Today I bought a brand new Apple Wireless Keyboard (the small ones who resemble laptop keyboards), which I'm very glad I bought as some keys on my older keyboard started not working anymore.
I configured the keyboard with bluetooth and it's working just fine, except for one thing:
The F# keys don't work as their respective icons indicate (i.e. If I press F10, F11 and/or F12, the volume isn't affected as it normally should, but instead the keys don't seem to respond, as if I weren't pressing them).
In the Keyboard & Mouse panel in System Preferences, under the Keyboard Shortcuts, I managed to reset the F1 to F4 keys so they work as their respective icons indicate, though I didn't find and don't know how to create any shortcuts to make the volume keys (F10, F11 & F12) work again.
Also, I would appreciate if you could help me out to reset the F7, F8 & F9 keys, which don't work either.
I tried checking and un-checking the "Use the keys F1, F2 and so on, as standard function keys." option under the Keyboard tab, and pressing the "fn" key while pressing the F# keys, but none of those attempts seem to change anything to how the F# keys work.
I don't know what else to do anymore and I would really appreciate some help now.
Thanks in advance for your responses,
    Oscar.

Shutdown your macbook. After thats done , switch the wireless keyboard off. Press Shift + Ctrl + Option  + Power Key (all together ) and then release together. Start up the macbook and once that's up start up the keyboard.Try now.The keys should work fine.

  • HP wireless mouse not working (sometimes)

I have an HP wireless mouse, product number LB454AA,  model no. MORFFIUO, s/n CNP25106C3.
well, i bought it about almost 2 years ago, but, even since I bought it, he had problems, and continues to have them...
the problem is, that sometimes, the mouse just doesn't work. I slide the power button and the red light just flashes, and its not like flashing 5 - 5 seconds, just flashes once.
I dont know what is heppening, not even with new batteries work...
and besids, if I click connect + the power button, the red light works, but the mouse doesn't do anything...
another thing is, that majority of the times, I put a new batterie, I wait like 30 minutes or 1 hour and the mouse returns to work again.
yesterday I put a new batterie on it, today i put another because the mouse was not working anymore.
does anyone know why is this heppening?
i cant even speak to support, the website dont recognize my mouse through product number.
i did not bought my mouse in this website, but is for you to see wich mouse is:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/HP-Wireless-Mobile-Mouse-Black/dp/B004OXU4TG

    Hello TwistedJ,
It would appear by your description that the mouse is faulty. If this behaviour started since the mouse was new 2 years ago, you should have returned it to the store you purchased it for a replacement or contacted HP Support directly for warranty help.
HP warranties its wireless mice for up to one year.
There is really nothing you can do at this point.
    I'm sorry.
I do not work for HP.

  • Wireless mouse not working.

    Hi!!!
    I have a new Satellite L455D-S5976, using 32-Bit Windows 7 Home Premium.
I also have an old wireless mouse:  Micro Innovations, Model number: PD7250LSR, with which I am having problems with.
Micro Innovations claims that there are no drivers for this particular mouse.
It will work when plugged in through an external USB Hub, but will only work 1/10 times when plugged in directly to any usb port.
When it is working Windows recognizes it as an "HID Compliant Mouse" using the drivers in System32:  "mouclass.sys" and "mouhid.sys"
The mouse works without ANY problems on my old XP system.
It also works on my friends 64-bit Windows 7 System, as well as my KUbuntu 9.10 (karmic) system.
When the mouse 'malfunctions' Windows reports: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" and lists it as an "Unidentified USB Device".
If anyone has any information that can help me I would greatly appreciate it.  ;D
    Thanks a bunch!

    Satellite L455D-S5976
It will work when plugged in through an external USB Hub, but will only work 1/10 times when plugged in directly to any usb port.
A powered hub? That is, a hub that plugs into AC power?
Otherwise why would you have plugged in a hub?

  • Wireless Keyboard not working in Windows applications running thru Bootcamp

I have recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and installed XP and Office on Bootcamp. My wireless aluminium keyboard would not work in Pages or Numbers but worked in Safari and Mail etc. It also didn't work in Excel and Word.
I have fixed the Pages and Numbers problem by downloading updates but I can't find anything to allow me to get the keyboard working in Windows application.
Does anyone know of an upgrade to sort this or will I have to buy a wired keyboard to overcome the problem?
    Thanks
    Nick

In order to get bluetooth items paired in Windows boot camp you first have to find the bluetooth symbol at the bottom of the windows start page. Next click on it and pick show bluetooth items. Then try to add a new bluetooth item. When this bluetooth item shows up double click the icon for the item. At this time it should show a window at the top it says general and other. Pick other and a small box needs to be checked. When you check the box Windows will find the exact drivers for the exact bluetooth device. After that it should be paired and work properly.

  • Wireless router not working after Windows update

I have a WRT54G V.5 wireless router. Windows Vista Home Premium did an auto update. Now wired connection works, wireless does not. Asks for key, but when entered nothing happens. Diagnosis states action was canceled. I have disabled and enabled, does not fix. Any help will be appreciated!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Take not of the Wireless Settings(SSID and WEP/WPA Key) on your Router...
To know the Wireless Settings follow this link
Once you know the Wireless Settings attempt to connect to your Wireless Network...
    XP :
Click on Start and goto the Control Panel and double click on Network Connections, right click on Wireless Network Connection and click on Properties.
Now on this window, click on the second tab Wireless Network and give a check mark on "Use windows to configure my wireless" and then remove all the network names present in the Preferred Networks Window. Then click on OK...
Right click on the Wireless Network Connection again and click on View Available Wireless Networks and try to re-connect to your network...
Now it will give you the opportunity to put the network/wep key, make sure you enter the correct network key and confirm it...
    It will connect...
    Vista :
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Network and Sharing Center >> Manage Wireless Networks, here remove all the networks present and close the Window...
Click on Connect to a Network and try to re-connect to your Network, it should ask for your Network Key/Password, enter the correct password/network key and click Connect...
It should connect...Once you are connected you should restart the computer, it should connect to Internet...

  • Apple Wireless Card Not Working

I just removed an Apple Wireless card from a PowerBook Tit. laptop and plugged it into my QuickSilver 733, re-installed the OS, and I can not get the coputer to recognize the wireless card.
Now, this is the older wireless card not the extreme, and I have used one of these cards in the past for one of these computers and worked fine, but can not get it to pickup this time.
I know the card is good, was in use up until it was removed from the PB yesterday.
Tried to add the wireless device in the Network panel, but could not see the card.
    Any ideas???
    Thanks,
    Carter

I have a Quicksilver 2002 (Dual 1-GHZ) and my internal airport card just started acting flakey. It drops the connection and then re-acquires the network, sometimes a couple of times a minute. Sometimes the only way to get the wireless signal is to turn AirPort off and on agian on the computer. Then it will work fine for days. I bought this PowerMac new just before MacWorld in 2002 (yeah, right before the MDD model was introduced - brilliant timing on my part, as usual) and haven't had a lick of trouble with it ever. I also have a new MacBook with built-in AirPort Extreme and I have no trouble with my wireless signal on that computer, so it has to be the PowerMac. Are there any known issues I'm missing?
