Apple won't replace my iPhone and wiped it completely saying it would fix the problem but it hasn't..
So basically I took my iPhone in to be fixed. It's got a problem where the wifi won't switch on nor will my Bluetooth. Knowing I only brought a new iPhone about 4 months ago thought that's ok I'll get it fixed or a new one.
How wrong was I? Not only were they rude to me and talked down the me. They also completely wiped my phone convincing me it would fix the problem. Well it didn't. I actually left the store crying as I had no contacts, photos, or apps.
They refused to help me any further without me buying a new phone. They said that when I got my new phone from them to replace another broken headset I only got 90 days warranty. They said I signed for it. In my opinion they should make it clearer and tell you this.
I am disgusted at the way I've been treated and think that for such a big company they really don't help themselves.
Just wondering if anyone could help shed some light on this?
OK. So the phone you took them was an out of warranty replacement for a phone you had previously... Is that correct? They told you the truth. The out of warranty replacement has a 90 day warranty. (if the phone it was replacing was physically damaged, the OOW replacement will inherit the balance of the original warranty if it's longer than 90 days.)
If you were backing up and syncing your phone on a regular basis, as intended, you can restore all of your information exactly the way it was at the time of the last backup.
If you're unhappy with the way you were treated, go back and speak to the manager or call Apple and ask to speak to customer relations.

Call Apple Care for your country and request that they assist you in resetting the security questions.
To authorize/deauthorize a computer, go to the Store dropdown menu in the iTunes app. -

its looking for you to update on your computer. if your on a windows your want to open up itunes. click on help, and then click check for updates and then that should let you up date it. mac you want to click on itunes up by file and edit then click check for updates

I think I understand what you mean. You were asked if you wanted to merge the contacts with your iCloud account. Contacts take up very little room and are probably not the reason that your iCloud is full. If you're now backing up two devices to iCloud rather than one, that will indeed take up more room.
You cannot undo the contact merge. You can go to Settings>iCloud on either device and see what categories of stuff you're backing up and make selections. You can also purchase more iCloud space there. -
I have a big problem in my phone charger . I have Iphone 5s . I don't know what is the problem but the bettery is not working true . A decrease in the battery very quickly and then turns off the machine . Please, I want to address this problem quickly .

what is cookies.sqlite and why does it slow the start up of mozilla by a minute or so. I found it and deleted it,fixed the problem, but it reappears every time I restart mozilla.
AVG reports these sqlite cookies each time firefox starts. they usually belong to tribalfusion or some other tracker. How do I block them in the first place. I thought firefox is a safe browser. Did not have this problem until I upgraded to 3.6.

I have just reformatted my drive and reinstalled creative cloud and lightroom. When i open it, it says there is another version running the catalog and i have to switch to it to fix the problem, but there is no other version on my computer. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Where did you put the LR catalog?
Did you install the same version of LR, which one?
OS and version?
Open the folder where the catalog (*.lrcat) is located. If you see a file with lock in it while LR is not running, delete it.
Now try to start LR again. -
[4/15/14 edit #3] I posted the requested troubleshooting information and made a backup of Profiles using MozBackup, so my remaining problem is the presence of two Inboxes, both receiving messages, and my not being sure which one can safely be deleted nor how to safely delete it.
[4/14/14 edit #2] T'bird's Help taught me where my "Profiles" are stored but I found I had no backup of them. However, I now discover that I have TWO Inboxes - hadn't noticed that quirk before. Thankfully, one of them still contains all of my old messages! The Inbox that still has all of my old mail is listed as a subfolder under "Local Folders" and the Inbox that I thought was my only Inbox is listed as a subfolder under the top folder whose name is my email address. Both Inboxes are now retrieving my new mail. Does this mean I have somehow created two accounts? If so, how do I get rid of the account that uses the Inbox that does not have all my old mail in it? I don't want to get rid of the wrong account but I suspect the "right" one should be listed under my email address, not under "Local Folders". If anyone understands this mess that I've created, I'd really appreciate some advice so I don't make things worse. At least I've now learned what it is that I need to back up.
[4/14/14 edit #1] Following is a major update of the problem I described before (see below). I disabled the Mail Shield portion of my Free Avast antivirus software and discovered that TB was again able to retrieve my email. Then I re-enabled Avast to see if it blocked TB again. It did not. So, apparently simply turning Avast's Mail Shield off and then back on again seems to have fixed the problem. However, I'm now left with the consequences of my having tried to "reset" TB as I described below, namely the loss of a very large number of emails that were stored in my Inbox. So the remaining problem I'd like help with is how to recover those seemingly lost emails. If they remain on my hard drive, where did TB store them and what specific files should I look for? I do have a backup of some of my hard drive (but nothing under Program Files), but I need to know how to identify them, where to look, and how to get them back into my Inbox without deleting its current contents. I'd really like to also retain their original dates, if possible. I'm running 64-bit Windows 8.1. [end of 4/14/14 edit]
TB suddenly stopped downloading my mail today. After I click Get Mail, I can see at the bottom of the screen a very rapid succession of messages; first the "connected..." message, then "checking...", then "downloading 1 of 10...", then finally, "No messages to download" after downloading absolutely none of them. I also noticed that my list of mailboxes was missing the very first entry that showed my email address as the account name. Figuring something major must have been changed in my account configuration, I went through all the settings but saw no problems. Finally, I decided to try to re-establish my same account. That did place my email address again back at the top of the mailbox listings as my working account name but it also created a worse problem. There were now no messages in my inbox, I suppose because I must have created a new account using the same name as the old one, whereas before there were thousands of messages that I had saved for many years (since this is a business). Then when I clicked Get Mail, TB downloaded 383 messages that had not yet been deleted from the server, giving then all today's date (another loss since their original dates were important). But after it finished downloading all of them, clicking Get Mail still does not retrieve any messages past the time that it stopped retrieving them earlier today. Those newest messages remain on the server - but now there are 14 of them instead of 10. The same succession of TB messages appears at the bottom of the screen, but now it says "Downloading 1 of 14..." but still downloads none of them and ends with, "No messages to download". This sequence of messages will repeat as often as I try to retrieve mail but it can still count how many it is NOT downloading. Two questions: (1) Are the thousands of messages that were stored in my Inbox still stored somewhere on my computer and is there any way to recover them? (2) How can I get TB to start retrieving my current email again? I guess it's obvious that these are important problems to me and that I'm totally stumped. Many thanks in advance.Sorry. My daughters got Iphones a couple of years. I do not have an Apple-phone. I registered both phones on my email. The problem is that one of them get the others messages. I therefore need to make two different accounts for their apple-products. How do I do that?
On each of the phones you're gonna use a new Apple ID for iCloud: turn off Contacts, Calendars, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
This will have no affect on the ID you share for iTunes content, & you can continue to do so. -
I know my apple id password. When I try to log into my apple tv, it asks for my apple iTunes store password and when I enter my apple store password, it is rejected. I tried to change my apple iTunes store password to the same as my apple id password and it says I have previously used that password which leads me to believe they are the same but then why does apple tv not accept it?
are you sure it's not asking you for the shared itunes lib password?
the shared itunes lib password is not personal but a password so only the people you wish on the LAN can access your shared lib but still you don't want them to get access to buy stuff using your appleID
so the itunes password is used rather then using the appleID + password combo -

I downloaded a new font (Lato) and stretched some of the type. It appears fine on the screen and print preview but is distorted on my printed copy. I have tried to convert all text to outlines and selected that preset in the pdf dialog box but this still hasn't solved the problem. I'm not sure if this is even the problem - I would really appreciate help! thanks so much!
Ok I found a site that has a free version of this font and Font Agent Pro found nothing wrong wit it so I loaded it. And I then opened it and saved it as a pdf and then printed it from Acrobat with no problems and looks fine in Acrobat and Illustrator.

I upgraded to 4 and I noticed that after 4 has been up for an hour or so I click on the bookmarks. I see my list of bookmarks below but when I move the cursor down to select one, the list disappears.
The only way I have found to fix this is to stop and start 4. I can then move the cursor down to select a bookmark. This problem has not occurred in previous versions.

When I want to save a story to my Reading List and click on Share then "Add to Reading List" then go back to look at what is stored in the Reading List, my recently-saved item is not there.
I looked thru the History tab and the Reading List tab and have been in the Bookmark tab. But even when I Save a Bookmark, that newly-saved Bookmark does not show up in the Bookmark area.
But then again, the next day (and actually just in the last half-hour) all of the functionality came back. When I look at the Bookmarks, suddenly, again, all of the Bookmarks that are on my Safari browser on my iMac are now there, and I can now Save a Bookmark.
It keeps coming in and out and that is what is driving me a little nuts.

Apple won't replace my iPhone 5.
I recently got my iPhone 5 replace no longer then 4 monthsbecause the start button didn't work. I went to a Apple store, and they replaced it without any question. Now, my newly iPhone 5, the SIM card keeps disconnecting from my phone, so i made an appointment at the Genius Bar. They asked me what happened, and i told them "The SIM card keeps disconnecting, i turn the phone off and on about 5-7 times a day, and for the past 2 weeks or so, i left it disconnecting because it was too frustating to turn it on/off again" They said they will take it apart, and see if the phone was working properly. About 10 minutes of waiting, they came out and said "Looks like your SIM card slot, cercut had been disconnected. The replace cost would be about 350$ with tax". I though if it was the device problem they would replace it? I mean its only been 4 months.
A warranty replacement inherits the balance of the original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer. If I had to guess, I'd say the original warranty has expired.
