Apple working on SUS fix? Test Update in SUS list
Has anyone else noticed a file in the SUS list called Test Update, with a note saying:
This update is not intended to apply to any system. It is being released to test the function of the Software Update Server.
I have this file in the SUS update list either.
Before I installed 10.5.2, I used to have a big bunch of updates and index.sucatalog file was missing, now with the 10.5.2 update it doesn't seem to get better, the index.sucatalog file is still missing and i get errors in log file such as :

Is apple working of a fix for this update error? 8.0.1 needs 610mb of space. Every time I try to install the latest update, I get this error: "Updating to iOS 8.0.2 requires at least 610 MB of free space on your iPhone. Please change your media sync options to make more storage available." There is way more space than that on my phone, (about 12gB) and no matter what i do, I keep getting this error. And what the heck are media sync options?
Also, my phone will not backup, giving me another error. iTunes could not backup this phone, because it could not back up to this computer, or something to that effect. Even trying to manually backup to iCloud, i get the same message about this computer. Seems like it started with the last update to iTunes.Hi ..

IS Apple working on bug fixes for IOS 8.0.2? It is terrible on IPad2, wish I had NOT updated!
Since "upgrading" to iOS8.x my IPad2 is so slow and buggy. If the old hardware can't handle the new iOS, Apple should say so.

iPhone 5 was so intuitive before the update. Editing photos has changed for the worst-any word of a fix for editing photos for wallpaper? Not a work around, a fix. If I wanted this kind of photo editing I'd still be using my droid x.
Anyway to go back to ios6?Is Apple working on a fix for editing photos for wallpaper, call contacts with photo, etc?
How would we know?
What's broken that you think needs to be fixed?

Is Apple working on a fix for ios6 that will stop it from using huge data in the iphone 4s?
When I upgraded my iPhone 4s to ios6, it started using huge amounts of data. My provider refuses to reimburse me. Today they told me that Apple has acknowledged the problem and has fixed it in ois6.3. However, ois6.3 is unavailable for the 4s, and my provider tells me that Apple has not acknowledged that the problem exists in the 4s. They referred me to Apple. However, because the phone is off warranty, I will have to pay $35 + tax to talk to an Apple rep--and surely Apple knows the problem extends to the 4s, because it is widely discussed on-line. I have not seen any reference to whether Apple is working on a fix for the 4s. Does anyone know? I can't afford this much longer and am going to have pay a lot of money to switch phones. And when I switch phones, it won't be an Apple, which will also make me sad--but it is ridiculous for them to produce a problem that is costing so much money and then not to acknowledge it exists. I am hoping that having addressed it in the 5, they will now turn to the 4s. Does anyone know?
Yeah, the 6.0.2 update was rolled out to deal with that issue amongs others. But getting it out for the older models was either not high priority or more complex than they anticipated. So the wait continues till it shows up on the update channel.
Pestering Apple Support might not get it done quicker, but at least will offer some sort of vicarious revenge and relief. -

Is Apple Working On A Fix For 10.7.4 Update?
Given the ongoing problems that many users are having with this latest update - in my case ongoing kernel panics - can anyone confirm what precisely Apple is doing (if anything) to fix the problems caused by the 10.7.4 update.
I've been a Mac owner for 20 years and don't remember one quite as bad as this.I appreciate all the help I can get.

TS3642 Is Apple working on a fix for this so Windows users can import a .band file?
Exporting from the iPad Garageband into iTunes is a cinch. The resulting .band file can be sent via email or by other means to another computer. If that computer is a Mac, it is possible to reverse the process and import the .band file into iTunes for use on another iPad. But Apple has not implemented the same code for the Windows version of iTunes, so if your collaborator has an iPad and Garageband, but no Mac, there is no way to get the .band file back onto another iPad. Apple says as much in TS3642. Does anyone know if Apple is working to fix this problem? Or can anyone think of a workaround?
I've been prompted to look at this again and have found a decent workaround...
Annoyingly the Windows version of iTunes doesn't handle .band projects properly. You can use .iTunes to transfer a project from one device into the file sharing area for the app and save it to your computer, but you can't drag a .band folder into that area to upload to another device. In contrast a round trip is possible for iMovieMobile as those project folders are rolled up into a .zip file.
I've just tested iFunBox which allows you to copy files to and from the iOS device's file system. Share the GarageBand project to iTunes on the device in the normal way, connect it to a computer running iFunBox, click the iFunBox Classic button, expand the tree to show App File Sharing > GarageBand and drag the project folder to your computer. Connect the other device, show the App File Sharing > GarageBand view, drag the project folder in, then in GarageBand on the device use the plus symbol in the My Songs view to copy the project from iTunes.
My only slight reservation is that AVG flagged up one of the components of iFunBox as a security risk, although having let AVG take remedial action the iFunBox program carried on working and there is no sign that AVG actually quarantined any files. I suspect a false positive, the program has been around for some time and has plenty of good recommendations. I'm sure if it were known to be malicious I'd have found the evidence.

Are apple working on a fix for iTunes in the cloud in ios6?
After updating to ios6 I've been incredibly frustrated with iTunes in the cloud. Gone are the options of downloading and deleting individual songs and the service has gone down the streaming route. I can understand how this benefits some but it is a hindrance to me. In the uk - iPhone data packages are far from unlimited and the 2GB I have per month has been exceeded twice due to itunes! I have the 64gb iPhone but my music collection is over 100gb hence why the service was perfect for me before - I could download individual songs on request rather than entire albums
The reason I'm asking the question is that I got an email to say my subscription is up for renewal - if the service will be reverted back in the near future to how it was in ios5 then it's worth renewing - otherwise it's for the binYes but streaming whilst using my data allowance is dangerous as I have gone over it several times. To stream a song and keep it on the device you have to listen to the entire song - this isn't practical for me - I tended to download songs whilst having a wifi connection that would set me up for the rest of the day - this was possible by downloading individual tracks - something that has been removed from ios6. Now I have to run te risk of going over my data allowance and it now at the point where I am deliberately not listening to music incase this happens - surely apple doesn't want it's users to reduce their listening time? - well that's the situation they have created. I have several friends who are in the same predicament - the new iTunes in the cloud is like a beta version and the ios5 version was a far better service.
If its going to continue as it is I will have no choice but to cancel - having to pay the subscription then pay the charges for going over my Internet allowance every few months - not worth it -
Is apple working on a fix so it plays nice with internet security and filtering programs?
Question is in the title.
The conflict that causes us to disable internet security and filtering programs to get iTunes Store to open. Is that planning on being resolved?None of us know, and you won't get an answer from Apple on here. We are users just like you. Although not everyone has problems with that, I know I didn't when I used iTunes on my PC.

Is Apple still working on a fix for PC?
Because I'm starting to feel it's all a ploy to get people to buy macs.
It used to work right.
P.S...... for every PC/itunes user posting with problems on this board, there's many more of us lurking & waiting for the solution that works to appear on here."Is Apple working on a fix for PC?" is actually my question, too.
I'm one of those who has been lurking around for a while reading fixes and suggestions without previously posting. I had previously installed every update of iTunes since 4.7 without any issue. My iPod (a 40g photo) has the newest updates installed. My situation was the seemingly succesful install of the 5.0.1 update at first, then the connection to iPod/ 'please reinstall' error that reinstalling did not correct, and then it stopped working at all.
I was relieved to find this forum and tried every fix I found here... uninstalled completely (including a reg clean), checked my admin login, made sure my Windows XP was completely updated, disabled my antivirus even though I didn't have the file that's supposed to be the problem, disabled firewall, downloaded QT standalone and installed, downloaded iTunes and installed, plenty of restarts in between (always disabling antivirus), etc. Hours gone, same problem. I was eventually able to reinstall 4.9 successfully and re-import my library using a renaming fix found on this site, and that's been working fine for a week or so.
The only issue is that I did have to give my copmuter a second permission to play my iTunes-purchased songs, so I do feel a bit like I was cheated out of my five computer allowance. Are there any possible fixes for this?
Now I've been surfing back through these topics to see if there is any word that Apple is working on the problem or assurance that future updates won't have these issues. I really can't spend another two or three days trying to install an iTunes update that won't work. How will I know if the problem is fixed and a new version is safe to try again? Does anyone know anything about this?
Thanks. -
I have an iphone 4s unlocked with att prepaid plan (non-contract), everything was working perfect BUT since i update to IOS6 i can not send MMS to anybody has Android, i went to att technical center they said only apple store can fix the problem, i went to Apple store MANY times they could not fix it, so they gave me a new iphone 4s and they said they fixed it but they did not,iam so mad that's not fair, can somebody help me please.
The nice thing about owning this overpriced POS is that Apple not only doesn't support it, but also doesn't want to hear about anything negative regarding it. So I spoke to the so-called "support" people at Apple who successfully screwed up my contacts beyond repair. I got a nice email from Apple asking me to rate the support I got. I was actually civil and described the issue tactfully. What do I get in return? Nothing. Not a damned thing!! You're luck you've got me by the short hairs on a 2 year contract but I'm still tempted to throw this POS through the front window of the nearest Apple store!! Not only will I be replacing this phone with a competitive product but I won't be buying anymore Apple crap. I guess when you con 27 million people into believing your rhetoric and sales lies, you don't have to care whether some customers get screwed or not. I'll be going back to Verizon and threatening legal action if they don't take this electronic dung heap back but I'm sure the teams of lawyers Apple and Verizon have on staff have insured that I have no rights in this matter and you're free to screw me anytime you please. Sad. I used to love Apple as a company and your products. Now you're just another Microsoft with more trendy looking junk. I've had it with you. If any of your executives are brave enough to talk to me, please contact me at your convenience.
