This was the second time I had to send in my iBook for a Logic Board repair. Like the first time they replaced the logic board but this time they put a new keyboard in and cleaned the computer. Plus there shipping was very timely, overnight every direction.

Try each of these in order until one works:
Open App Store and click on your Purchases tab. If you're prompted to accept them, then do so.
Put the old ones into the Trash, temporarily. Open App Store and see if you can download them for free from their individual product pages. If asked to buy them, see the next option.
Click here, contact Apple, and wait for a response.
You will have to purchase them using your Apple ID.

Apple why did you take the Sites folder with my website in it? Nobody helps!

Since upgrading to Mavericks I lost my local website folder that used to be in the Sites folder!

I have no clue why this is or why I am getting this error in Mavericks. All I have is a local website folder in the Sites folder using Dreamweaver CS4 to update my files, working perfect on my other drive running 10.6.8 . Why I cant update and get the error above is the reason I am posting here. (and several other spots)

When I say my Sites folder is not in my Home folder you can bank on it. No I never changed any folders in there.

My iPhoto Library (version 8.1.2) is 280GB (greater than 50% of my 500GB total storage memory on my iMac. It was too large for me to drag it to a new hard drive so the Apple geniuses did it for me. However they did not delete the Library from my iMac (that's my responsibility). I dragged it to Trash and when it started to move I clicked over to the new hard drive to confirm it had indeed been copied. I became nervous when I didn't see among the few files on this otherwise empty new hard drive anything that resembled a 280GB Library so I cancelled the migration to trash.
How can I be sure that my iphoto has been copied and that all my "metadata" survived in tact?

I thought the new drive would be your data drive to host the iPhoto library. Do you also use it for TimeMachine backups?
I am unable to search either in email as well as Finder. I AM able to search within iPhoto though, thankfully
Spotlight may still be busy rebuildig its index.
You could try to rebuild the Spotlight Index, if you do see no progress:

Cannot download a TV episode "you did not buy this" error message

I have received two new episodes of programs that I purchased, and tonight when I tried to download, both shows gave me an error message that said "you did not buy this. You cannot download."
But I DID buy this! I've bought these two shows for more than a season!
I had an earlier error message that these shows could not download at this time, in the morning. During the day I shut down the computer completely, and rebooted this evening . . . . . to get this new error message.
Any ideas?

Apple Finally did right.. Finally bought an apple computer.

I have been following the rumor's closely of the new Retina display coming out for the apple notebook. Originally 2560x1600 then 2880x1800 and another rumor of 2560x1600 again. Well I am really happy that it is 2880x1800 and a geforce graphics card.
I will not even be running MAC OS X really. I will keep it on but mainly run linux on it. Man I have been waiting for a high resolution laptop for a lot of years.
I sport 17 megapixels right now at work over 3 monitors. The macbook with retina display was an insta-buy for me. The only thing I am really disappointed with is the need for a dongle for ethernet. Other than that I am really stoked about the notebook.
Hoping the SSD is of good quality since its looking like its not going to be user-replacable. Was really hoping for a 32GB option but I guess they don't make 16 GB SODIMM's yet =(
Anyway apple you really did right with this machine. Finally a machine that is worth buying even if you dont use the Macintosh OS and worth every bit of its premium. The weight and thickness is also very imrespssive for such a high end notebook. I also love its a 16:12 display and thank god its IPS. Man this is my dream notebook right here. Hopefully it will be shipped soon =)

ERROR: "You did not complete the entire form. Please enter your country."

When I tried to download a song tonight, I got a message that said that my billing info had changed and that I needed to verify it before I could purchase any music. On the "Edit Payment Information" page, I put in all of my info (my address was missing), and hit done. I get the error: "You did not complete the entire form. Please enter your country." Well, the country field is not editable, and but it says "United States," which is the right country. I can't get passed it, so I can't download anything. I'm running the latest version of iTunes... but I haven't purchased anything since.
The other thing that concerns me is that I didn't change any billing info, so this is a bit strange. Does anyone have any ideas of what's going on? Thanks!!

Just in case this ever happens to anyone else, here is how to fix the problem (THANKS, ITUNES SUPPORT)!!
1) Sign out of the iTunes Store by choosing Sign Out from the Store menu in iTunes.
2) Visit Apple's My Info website:

3) Choose your country and preferred language. Then enter your iTunes Store account name and password and click Continue.
4) Choose Address Book from the menu on the left. On the Edit Address Book page, look at your shipping addresses at the bottom. If you have multiple shipping addresses, remove any out-of-date or duplicate addresses by clicking Delete. Also, make sure the state or province field is filled out correctly for each address. To edit an address, click Edit.
5) Now choose Phone Numbers from the menu on the left to look at your phone numbers. The area codes should be in the area code fields and the phone numbers should be in the phone number fields. If an area code is missing, or if it is in a phone number field, your account information may not save properly.
6) Make any other necessary corrections, then click the Save Changes button.
7) Click Log out in the upper-right corner.
When you make your next iTunes Store purchase, you will be asked to review your billing information. At that point, you can change your information or simply click Done. After that, you should be able to purchase items.

Hello. I'm getting prompted to update an App you did not purchase. Does anybody knows how to reset it in order to avoid the prompt message?
Once I press the update button, appears an itunes account of someone that I don't know.

When I try to sign in to Genius with my Apple ID it gives me the message:
You did not complete the entire form
The only bit to fill in is the Apple ID. I tried using me.com but that didn't work either.
