APPLE, YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING!!!

I've been trying to access my iTunes shopping cart for days now, with no luck. My network connection HAS NOT been reset, and I obviously am able to connect to the internet. All the fixes posted here have not worked, and they all seem to regard PC and Vista issues. APPLE, WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!

Guys: this is a user support forum. Voicing blanket complaints about Apple products here is a waste of your time, because it is very unlikely that anyone who works for Apple is actually going to read your posts.
What you need to do is go to this page and fill out the form at the bottom. Someone from Apple will contact you via email within 24 hours.
If you just wish to give Apple a piece of your mind, go here. They may or may not respond to your complaint, but it will be a much better use of your time, because someone from Apple will actually read it.

    What did Apple do to iCal in Leopard? They broke it somehow. I had hard drive failure in powerbook. Replaced Hard drive, did new install of Leopard. Then installed Palm desktop 4.2 (newest from site). Setup Palm Treo 650 conduit in isync. It will only sync the addresses, nothing in iCal. Either way is bad. From Treo to iCal, and iCal to Treo won't work. Everything IS setup correctly. I used to do this in Tiger with no problems. What did Apple do to Leopard? This needs to be corrected immediately! I do all my scheduling in iCal. It is useless to me if I can't sync it to the Treo to take with me.

    You have no idea of what you are talking about, and your claims are entirely without merit. iCal was rewritten from the ground up for release with Mac OS X 10.5, and the synchronization component of it—in particular—does not work as intended or expected.
    Virtually all mobile handsets and smartphones which worked under various releases of Mac OS X 10.4—with or without a plugin—continue to work under Mac OS X 10.5 and later. It is almost exclusively Palm devices which do not work as user would reasonably expect them to since the release of Mac OS X 10.5 and iCal 3.
    iCal and iSync cannot simply be returned to their Mac OS X 10.4 counterparts: your inability to understand the complex nature of programming these applications and their frameworks apparently underlies your groundless assumptions and claims.
    It silly to claim that these applications "…worked perfectly in and up to 10.4." Nothing could be further from the truth. By most reasonable measures, particularly with regard to Palm devices, these applications did not come close to working "perfectly," and many, many mobile handsets offer better interaction with the Address Book and iCal through iSync than does the iPhone through iTunes.

    Apple, I know you are here. I know this has been posted before, but I'm going to post this anyway. MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO PLAY MUSIC VIDEOS IN A PLAYLIST. This is ridiculous. I spent a lot of money on an Apple TV to entertain. It's stupid that I have to choose a video after every song, good lord.

    Yes, please send your AppleTV enhancement request to the link Meg provided. Many of us would like to be able to play video playlists from start to finish but if we want this "fixed" we need to make certain that these requests go to the AppleTV product feedback page which is not the same as the Apple Discussions forums (which is where we are right here).

    I have been reading (sometimes skimming) this forum for the last few hours.
    It is becoming very clear that Apple has been blind sided by this revolt. Did they think the kool-aid would make us turn a blind-eye to this blunder?
    I digress ...
    Some people are getting rebates, coupons, credits, etc. Others are not. Beyond the 14 day policy, some of the rebates seem completely arbitrary and out of 'luck'. This is not right.
    Apple, do the right thing. You know the morning press is going to be all over this. The stock hit wasn't enough?

    I agree with your observation re: consistency in the response. I was on hold with Apple Customer Service for about an hour or so. The Customer Service representative I spoke with asked for my iPhone serial #, confirmed my contact info and then advised me that I would need to contact the AT&T retail store (where the phone was bought) to request a refund or credit. Perhaps the AT&T retail store will provide some type of compensation (it's after hours in the East at this point). The mere fact that no one seems to have been prepared for the customer outrage is somewhat mind boggling to me.
    I've read the various musings re: Apple's ability to price their products as they see fit, etc. I concur that Apple's responsibiility is to shareholders and not customers. However, Apple had carefully built a reputation as a company with a higher level of corporate responsibility. That perception has taken a significant hit here, at least for me.

  • Pre-ordered iPhone 6 on 12-Sep at the online HK Apple Store. Clearly stated pre-orders could be picked up on 16-Sep at an Apple store in HK. Order shows shipping in Oct. Apple, you need to keep your word!

    I called the help desk, they said it was due to an error, and that the orders submitted on the 12th of Sep are for shipping (in Oct!) but orders that were put in today, are eligible for store pick up. This doesn't make sense, just simply do what you say on the site before a customer puts in their money! If it says store pick up, honor that! What is the point of having a pre-order if I am going to have to wait for it until October, when others can pick it up from the store because of incorrect communication on the Apple site?

    Sorry for your frustration, but you are NOT addressing Apple here.  This is a user to user forum and no one here is Apple, nor will Apple respond to you via this forum.

    May I just say that I'm SERIOUSLY ****** off at both Apple and AT&T right now! I realize, though, this is more att's doing, and that Apple is a slave to them, but this is completely outrageous.
    I went to the Apple store this morning -- late, I know, at around 7:30am. I knew there would be a line, and there would be some waiting. There were about 50 in front of me. An hour and a half later, I had to leave (some of us work!) and I was no where near the door. They were only letting about 4 people in at a time, and it seemed like they were in there for about 1/2 hour each!!!
    This is the most insane experience I've ever been through to purchase a piece of computer equipment. I agree with the commenters, earlier, that stated although last year had glitches, we should be able to buy the damned thing and LEAVE! What the **** are they thinking???
    I'm enraged right now. I just called the store from work, and they would not tell me anything about availability. They told me they don't "know" how many are in stock -- yeah, RIGHT!! Basically, he was extremely rude, and I got no information about whether it is even worth my time to go back to the store later -- even if the wait will about kill me.
    I also called the AT&T store -- all you get there is a recording, and they won't answer the phones.
    WTH? Basically, I want to drop some money and pay an exorbitant amount of money on the new AT&T plan ($30 for data, and no SMS????) and they won't even do anything to help facillitate it? I feel like I'm nothing to them -- oh, he'll buy it anyway, who cares about him.
    Apple: you have to do something here. There was no way you could NOT have anticipated a ridiculous first day -- how could you not have prepared for it? You, also, need to get rid of ATT -- they're killing YOUR business!

    I have the same problem for the past two days. It worked once and after that when I connected my Ipod again it started blinking "do no disconnect" even though itunes said that update is complete. So I did the remove hardware and ejected it and then when I reconnected it, itunes gave an error saying i need to update the software and reset the ipod to factory setting. I did that and now it is again showing the "do no disconnect" for the last 20 mins. I am giving one last try today after that it is going back to best buy. I thought apple products were better than this. Man installing Linux with dual OS was easier than using this supposedly piece of entertainment!!!

    Just connect the new iPod to your computer and setup the iPod via iTunes (instead of via wifi).

    Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
    Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
    The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
    Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

If you’re on iCloud, as I am, repeating events is impossible.  The ability to copy text or graphics into either events or Reminders doesn’t really exist.  This is an easy fix.   Why not get it done? 

    Maybe things will improve this summer,

    Yes, he has a couple of ways of doing this.
    iCloud photo stream will sync photo stream photos automatically. AirPlay will show anything on his phone on the Apple TV.

    Just to make certain, you inserted the original installation disk and started the MBP holding down the C key?  Did the Optical drive reject the disk or did it just spin?  If the former, the lens in the drive may be dirty and needs to be cleaned.  If the latter, you will have to take it to an Apple repair facility.
