Applecare IMAC - International Support, Transfer between countries.

I am planning to purchase AppleCare for my Imac G5 intel based.
I have few questions:
- Can I buy AppleCare from any country or only from the country I reside.
- If I change my location (country of residence) can my AppleCare be transfered. Or will I have to buy again.
- In case of absence of purchase invoice what date is considered by Apple for checking the validity of warranty.

Hey there
im afraid i dont know about the second two questions
but concerning the country of residence:
they urge you to buy the plan from your country of residence as they say that by doing this you can get the full experience of the plan, (meaning there will be things you cannot do with the plan if you buy it from a different country) however you can if you want buy it from any country you like and youll be able to cover the computer...after all is does include global coverage. To be honest i would recommend you just buy it in your country of residence, i think youll find this will make things much easier if there may be anything wrong with the computer in the future...
Hope this helps,

  • Employees transfer between countries?

    Hi Experts,
Iu2019d like to start a discussion around the system processes when employees transfer between countries.
Currently today the employee is hired into the new country as a new record, and the original record in the former country remains active until all system access can be transferred over, including for other reasons (i.e. payroll).  Having two active heads for one person can create havoc for other systems or processes (such as reporting).
Hence, can you help me with some possible improvements going forward for this action.
Note:- We don't have CE/GE activated and we are on 4.7.
    Thanks & Reagrds, Swapnil Mishra

    HI Swapnil,
If you are not using the concurrent / global employment scenario, the best practice can be as below.
    a. You have to the seperate the employee from the initial country.
    b. Hire him  in the new country assignment.
    c. If he is coming back to the original country, rehire him after doing the seperation from the second country.
Hope this will give light to your requirement.

The iPhone is not user servicable. You can get an out of warranty replacement from Apple for $149. If you open the phone yourself, you forfeit the ability to do this.

  • File transfer between internal drives extremely slow

Since the upgrade to the latest Lion OSX 10.8.5 on my Mac Pro, file transfer between internal drives is extremely slow. I used Disk Ulitly to repair the drives but no use. What could be the cause? Thanks

Yes I have been transfering the same type of data in the same manner as before, this happened only recently. For example if I transfered lets say a 100MB single file from main HDD to 2nd internal HDD it would have taken around 10 seconds nwo it takes a minute or so. Also my iTunes library is located in the 2nd Drive and since this issue when I play music it keeps cutting off and coming back, I am sure this is due to the slow transfer speed of the drive. I can't figure out why it has gotten so slow, is it the drive or the OSX?

What is easiest way to set up a remote network between countries online?
My main Mac is in England, UK and I'm spending time in the USA with my Mac laptop for 3 months. I'm in the USA right now, but neighbour in the UK has keys to my apartment so he can go in there and follow my instructions.
How can I access my Mac back in England via my Mac laptop in the USA as there are files on my UK computer that I need to transfer back/forth while I'm here in America.
I know there are things like Log-me-In as in per link below, but I don't think you need things like this on the Mac do you, isn't there an easy way to set something like this up via the Mac's OS?
    https://secure.logmein.com/welcome/access/fasteasy/2/?wt.srch=1&originid=4373&ut pk=log%20me%20in&destination=/welcome/access/fasteasy/2/
Any advice on the easiest way for me to get this set up finally would be great as I just can't figure out the most straight forward way of doing this.
    Thanks a ton all.

Is there any chance of being able to set up and use something such as
the Apple Remote Desktop in these computers? Sure, there is a matter
of setting up the computer on the far end, including any update to the OS
and having the Apple Remote Desktop client side ready and able.
And then having (owning) the ARD software within the computer you have
there while traveling so as to contact and control the remote computer.
This should be capable of allowing you to move files between the Macs
but may be cumbersome without planning ahead; before traveling away.

  • What is Cycle or steps to create Stock transfer between plants.

What is Cycle or steps to create Stock transfer between plants.
Reply with T Codes & Justify

    Hello RM
We can transfer stocks within a company code between 2 plants using 3 methods:
    1) Using single step simple stock transfer (Mvt Type 301).
    2) Using two step stock transfer (Mvt Types 303 and then 305).
    3) Using a stock transport order(STO) again it is based on 2 things:
    a) r u using STO with delivery or
    b) without delivery.
Though the first two steps are very simple to process but using STO has its own advantages: 1) Quantity in transit can be monitored 2) delivery costs can be entered in the STO.
First 2 steps (single step and 2 step plant to plant transfer) can be done using MIGO tcode , selecting stock transfer and entering the relevant mvt types.
would like to tell you about STO as it is an important process.
STO without delivery, the following functions are provided to support the Internal Stock Transfer without Delivery :
    #Create Stock Transport Order
#Post goods issue for stock transport order
#Post goods receipt for stock transport order
Config Step required before processing above steps:
Setting Up Stock Transport Order: Purchasing Document Type, the purpose of this activity is to specify which document type is to be used for a certain combination of supplying (issuing) plant and receiving plant.
Path go to SPRO--MM-Purchasing---PO-Set up STO-----assign doc type, one step procedure, underdelivery tolerances.
There you have to enter your supplying and receving plant with the Purchasing doc type( UB).
    Now the process:
    1) Receiving plant will create a STO towards issuing plant.
    2) Issuing plant will transfer material from their unrestricted use stock to stokc in transit using mvt type 351.
    3) Receiving plant receives the goods using MIGO mvt type 101.

  • Warranty for Imac (International or Local)

    Hi,
Does anyone knows whether the warranty for Imac is local or international? Say, I am currently studying in Australia and got myself an imac. Can I bring it to Singapore after I graduate?

It is international, but not all countries recognize the warranty or have warranty service available. You should verify if the warranty is valid in the country(ies) in which you may require its use.
You can find this information at Apple's website or you can call AppleCare.

  • SD billing document (transfer between plants) error in document splitting

    Dear Gurus.
    I have the following scenario.
    New GL activated
    Zero balance on Profit Center.
SD billing document is created after the shipping of material (internal transfer) between 2 plants belonging to the same company code.
I have several user exits activated and they are not well documented if activated.
    Case1.
The billing document is usually created with materials populated with the same Profit Center.
In Tr VF01/VF02 the function: Release for Accounting is executed and no accounting document is created (OK cause they belong to the same company code), this function is just closing the cycle of the billing document to set the status as completed.
    Case2.
Billing document containing several materials with more than one Profit Center
During the execution of the function: Release for accounting the following error is gotten: Position 1 is not populated with Profit Center - apparently caused by the splitting rule - financial document creation -  the status of the billing document is not set to Completed, is kept as opened.
As I commented In case 1 I do not have any accounting document (no error message)
    Doubt 1
Is it possible that the splitting rule is being checked even though no accounting document is created (remember billing in a scenario of material transfer between plants belonging to the same company code)?
Apparently in case 1 I do not have any error cause the splitting rule is deriving the profit center in a passive basis: Inheritance.
In the other way, in case 2 the splitting rule is trying to derive the profit center in an active basis. In my configuration I actually do not have any configuration for the combination of transaction, variant, position to be derived, position basis.
    Doubt 2.
Is this the standard behavior of SAP?
Could this be caused by a user exit not identified?
thanks in advance for any advice provided
    Regards vpa
    Valentin PA.
    2.
In case 1 is clear that as only one profit center is shown theoretically the inheritance rule is populating the Profi

It would be possible, I suppose.  You could generate Idocs from the SD system (or an interface file) and import that info into the FICA system.  Of course the FICA system could not know about the sales order etc - so limited research abilities would exist.
For the second question, that would only function in a single system scenario, and yes the SD document flow would reflect its clearing status in FICA.
    regards,
    bill.

  • Automated site transfer between portals

I tested out the automated site transfer process... seems to work as advertised, although you may have to add a non-partner email address that you control as an admin user, as it seems to require a "user' to approve, and the receiving partner never gets the option to approve until a "user" approves. (I tried to transfer trial site where my partner email address was the only admin -- no go. I added a user, retried, and worked with sequential approvals of losing partner, then user, then receiving partner.)
Only minor bug I saw was the ALT tag for the images in the approval emails is left over from a different email template, saying "Congratulations on creating your website! Here are your next steps."
Wish list: Where one partner has multiple portals, let us move sites between them without needing to get customer OK, since it's an internal move not between different businesses.
    Bill

The emails to the clients come FROM the losing partner (for approval) and the gaining partner (for confirmation upon completion)... The approval link uses the client's domain, to further enhance the white labeling of the partners.
However, although seemingly FROM the partners, these emails have Adobe and BC logos at the top, have a link to a partner documentation (instead of client doc),and are signed "The Adobe Business Catalyst Team".
    (1) Can the logos be changed to either the partner logos (as done with most other system emails), or none?
    (2) On the explanatory link, it should not send our clients to the PARTNER documentation, with all the other links to commissions, billing, plans, etc. at
    http://docs.businesscatalyst.com/partners#!/partner-portal/transferring-sites-between-part ners
There used to be an unbranded and client-oriented explanatory page at http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/864/cpsid_86424.html -- would be best if that was still available. However, that now redirects to a branded, but at least client oriented, page at Transferring Sites between Partners
If the unbranded page cannot be restored, at least direct our clients to the client-oriented page, not the partner documentation.
    Thanks!
    Bill

  • AirDrop transfer between Mac mini (late 2012) and MacBook Pro (late 2008) works only one way.

AirDrop transfer between Mac mini (late 2012) and MacBook Pro (late 2008) works only one way.  I see both machines on both airdrop windows. Firewalls on both machines are set exactly the same way, and with Network Browser set to allow.  Can send a file from Mac mini to MacBook, but not the other way.  Never get a window asking to accept on the Mac mini.
Found no useful documentation on AirDrop anywhere in the whole support site.

Maybe this will work. From an Apple support article.
You can also use the Share button to send files to your neighbors via AirDrop. In a Finder window, select the item you want to share, and then click the Share button in the toolbar. For more information about the Share button, see this help topic:

Peut-être que vous avez obtenu un "numéro de série" d'Amazon (ou similaire). Ce n'est pas un numéro de série, seul un code avec lequel vous pouvez demander un numéro de série à partir d'Adobe. Ici, vous devez passer par "Adobe Store", et recherchez le bouton "Serial Demande de numéro". Remplissez le formulaire et, après un certain temps, vous obtiendrez un numéro de série "réel".

  • Partitionning iMac internal HD in order to use MBA as main computer?

I'm planning to use my late 2011 MBA (with the lid down) plugged to the Thunderbolt equipped iMac I'm buying now.
The MBA would therefore become my main machine (I'm actually replacing my actual iMac which is not Thunderbolt equipped. The new Thunderbolt equipped iMac will be used only for tasks I can't perform with the MBA and as a replacement machine in case my MBA goes to repair, right).
I would like to store all my data (pictures, films, websites projects, documents, iTunes & Aperture libraries, and so forth) on the new iMac's internal HD, the advantage being I could access the mentioned data at Thunderbolt speed without having to purchase an external Thunderbolt HD.
I'm thinking of creating 2 partitions on the iMac internal HD:
    - one partition for the iMac
    - a second partition the as my data repository I would access mainly from the MBA - and also from the iMac when needed.
    Hence my questions:
    - is it a good idea? if not, what could be the problem?
    - if somebody has a better solution, please let me know.

If your backup external drive has a power brick the Thunderbolt<->FW adaptor will work, many bus powered drives require more power than Thunderbolt provides. However you may be fine with USB. Your first TimeMachine backup will take a while, subsequent backups are shorter because they are incremental. I tend to connect my MBA to its external USB TM drive once or twice a day at home and the backup takes just a few minutes unless I install a big OS or program update. I strongly recommend against connecting the drive to your base station - for whatever reason at some point - days, weeks or months later - the backup session will fail and after that nothing will get it going again except formatting the drive and starting over. Apple doesn't support this form of wireless backup.
Take a good look at your current drive use and try to think back to estimate how your drive has expanded over the last couple years. Adding a larger drive to the MBA later is expensive and carrying around an external drive isn't particularly fun. Will 256GB be sufficient 2 years from now? Remember, you need to keep 10-15GB free for temporary files.
Finally, remember that a computer you carry around is at greater risk than the one sitting on your desk. A single backup drive is better than most have but two is better. A third kept somewhere other than the home is best. I like having one of those backups being a clone because I can boot up with it and get right back to work.
