Hello, the website for registering AppleCare does not allow me to load any pdf or jpg. The error is: "The file type is not valid. Sizes are GIF, JPEG and PDF. Retry." The file is correct! How do I proceed with registration?

  • Find AppleCare Registration Number Online

    I bought a 15" MacBook Pro a year ago.
    According to Apple's website:
Time is running out. You may be able to buy an AppleCare Protection Plan to extend coverage to 3 years from your hardware product purchase date, but you must do so before 04 April 2013.
So, I just purchased the AppleCare package.
But in the email I got, the delivery date is April 5th.
Will my Mac Book Pro still be covered?

Yes.  Once you receive it you can confirm coverage.

  • AppleCare Registration in Progress, still?

    Hi all,
I recently purchased an AppleCare for my Macbook Pro (1st year warranty expires on the 15th Aug), and I did the registration online and i seem to recall an error at the end of the registration asking me to try registering again at a later point. I just wrote this warning off seeing as how the status of the registration was still "in progress" so I figured it was just working..
But it's nearly 5 days later and the status is still "registration in progress." I don't see how I can register again, or amend the registration seeing as how the only way to register is to type in the AppleCare registration code, however when I do it tells me that the code is already in use, and prompts me to contact Apple..
Any ideas on how I can do this without resorting to making any phonecalls?
I hate phones! (except the iPhone :P)

My turn for this. I thought it might've been because I bought it off eBay (despite the seller having 100% positive rep for hundreds of AppleCare sales) - of course, the AppleCare support person I spoke to pretty much said this and suggested that it should only be bought from an authorised retailer etc etc. Somehow I knew they would be as awkward as possible if they are not getting their overpriced direct sale.
I was told to send proof of purchase, as they seem to think the code has already been used, but surely the reason it's already been used is because I've tried to register it! The agent didn't seem to understand this concept. Anyway I've sent eBay and PayPal receipts and guess all I can do is sit and wait and hope for the best. I'll be pretty annoyed if I've lost £56 due to Apple assuming I'm a criminal who's stolen the code from somewhere.

  • How to find the AppleCare Registration Number

i need the extenstion my iphone warranty, so i can't find my AppleCare Registration Number, so please help to find the number
    thanks

    Have you already purchase AppleCare?
If you purchase your AppleCare agreement at the same time as your hardware products from the Apple Online Store, the Apple Retail Store, or select Apple resellers, your AppleCare agreement may be automatically registered. To verify that your hardware is covered under the AppleCare agreement, click here.
To find the registration number of any of the boxed AppleCare agreements in the table below:
Check inside the original retail box or envelope of the agreement. Refer to the table below for images of the boxes.
Find a card or booklet called "Getting Started" or "Web Registration Instructions." This card or booklet will show your AppleCare agreement's registration number.
    Note:
If you do not have the retail box or envelope or cannot find the card or booklet inside, contact AppleCare Agreement Support with your original receipt (or purchase order) and the serial number of the product covered by the agreement.

  • Applecare registration difficulties

I've just bought an iPhone 4S on O2 to replace my old (2+ years) trusty 3GS.  I also purchased an iPhone AppleCare retail pack.  When I tried to register it the website informed my I need to provide further documentary proof of purchase ... (?)
I did this but three days later still nothing and it's still not registered (verified by checking my AppleCare plans online once logged in).  I rang UK Applecare support this afternoon to ask for help.  After a long-winded and tortuous palaver I been asked to provide, to an apple email address, the following:
Scaned copy of my iPhone proof of purchase (I'll cal it PoP from now on)
Scaned copy of my AppleCare PoP
    My full details
My iPhone IMEI and it's serial number
A scanned copies of the AppleCare pack and registration number as printed on the content of the retail pack.
Initially my AppleCare registration number was also rejected by the support team - they chatted online to someone who then told me via the agent that I was giving them the wrong number and was giving them the iPhone IMEI number and not the AppleCare registrtion number.  After much persuading they finally believed that the number I had given was the indeed the long number (printed in tiny font) stuck on the applecare instructions within the AppleCare retail pack/box.
Now I've been an Apple dia-hard fan and user for years, have spent thousands of £ with them and suddenly I'm being made to jump thru hoops just to register one of their products I've paid hard cash for.  I've been made to feel like I'm a liar and feel so let down by Apple who up until now have always treated me well
Apparently the registration number I have given them is being rejected as it's format is numeric and not the newer aplhamumeric codea.  Is this really my problem?  No it isnt.
    Apple get your act toghether!
If anyone can help me or shed some light on the matter I'd be very grateful.
    Richard

    Hi DH,
I finally mangeD to resolve my issue by scanning and uploading the supporting evidence using the form the apple website provide during the registration attempt.  To recap: I entered my AppleCare registration number which was rejected and I was then promptedto upload the info.
    I scanned and uploaded:
    Copy of iPhone purchase receipt
Copy of AppleCare pamphlet that had the rejected registration number on it
Copy of the purchase receipt for the AppleCare pack.
After 2 or 3 days I got an email telling me the registration had succeeded.
When I rang AppleCare prior to the above the guy I spoke to referred to a document he had for dealing with this exact issue.  So, apple are aware and indeed have a procedure in place to cope with it.
    Good luck, Richard

  • Applecare registration failed

I just bought a MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display 2.0GHz, with applecare.
I'm trying to register my applecare, but every time I try, after I enter my macbook serial number and applecare registration number, when it comes to the terms and conditions screen it says that the service is not available. I've tried re-doing it for the past 3 days and it gives me the same result every time. What do I do?

I notice it is late 2013.   Where did you buy it from.   Just wondering if it was old stock and what that could mean.

  • Applecare Registrations problems

I don't know if this is supposed to go here but, I bought the 32gig version of the 3G S the day it came out and also bought the AppleCare protection plan. I went home that day and tried to register the AppleCare stuff, but when i entered the numbers and hit continue, i get this:
"We're sorry, but this registration number is not valid. Please check your information and try again."
I have no idea what to do. Any ideas? Or am i missing something?

I don't know how they are handling the 3GS applecare registrations. I bought mine separately from my iPhone 3GS and registered it online -- three days later, it still says "registration in progress" and I haven't gotten my certificate. I registered a Macbook Air AppleCare the same time and got the certificate about 4 minutes later on eMail.
I am thinking that they are so backlogged on AppleCare registrations for the iPHone that it will probably be a few days before they get caught up.
Typically, if you purchase an apple care product either at the Retail Store or online they already automatically put that onto your iPhone account or your macbook account and you don't personally have to register anything.
You can check the status of your registration by going to apple>support -- on the right column click the "register or check registration" link, and follow the links through to your agreements. You might find that your AppleCare iPHone 3GS is already listed.
I'm going to give them a week before calling to check on the registration status, thinking they will get those things processed eventually...

  • Problem with AppleCare Registration

    Hi,
I've purchased an AppleCare Plan for my Unibody MBP, but I have some problems during registration. It says my serial number is not valid, and when I try to see the warranty status, it says that my product serial number is not valid.
Can anyone tell me what I have to do in order to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance

that happened to me with my brand new MBP. Went to register it and it didn't like my serial #. I just called in and spoke to apple. They did it on their end and all was well after that.

  • AppleCare Registration Number

    Hi folks,
I got my new macbook pro 15" just two days ago (my first mac) and so far I am very happy with it.
I bought it via the Apple web shop and ordered AppleCare with it.
Today I wanted to register the plan but I found out that I don't have the neccessary plan details, because the CD and the little booklet didn't come in a seperate box but in an closed envelope. Now I am wondering if I either lost an important piece of paper in the unpacking excitement or if registration works differently when appleCare is bought with the macbook?
Can anybody help me in this matter?
    Regards,
    specialman

Hi, specialman. Because you ordered the computer and the protection plan together from an online Apple store, it's possible that your computer and the protection plan are already registered to you.
To see whether or not that's the case, go to:
    https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do
Enter your computer's serial number and your country in the appropriate places, and the system will check on whether your extended coverage is already in effect. If it is, you needn't do anything except enjoy your new Mac.

  • Missing AppleCare registration code

    Hi
I bought a new iMac 27" and also an Applecare warranty.
For now, I only got the envelope with the Applecare and still waiting for the iMac.
Is it ok that inside the envelope i got only the documets without a box and with no registration code?
You can see at the picture below what I got..

If you purchased AppleCare at the same time as your Mac, the AppleCare plan has been registered automatically and no registration code will be needed. You can confirm registration of the plan by entering in the serial number of your Mac here:
    https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do
and looking at the coverage expiration date. It sometimes takes a couple of weeks for the plan registration to make it into Apple's database, so if you got your Mac very recently, the AppleCare plan may not yet be reflected.
    Regards.

  • Trouble with applecare registration

    hi all,
i've had my mac for over eight months now and am getting down to registering my applecare protection plan which i bought with my mac (btw i'm from india). however i'm having trouble actually getting the registration done.
i follow my booklet that i got with the plan and it directs me to the following page:
    https://selfsolve.apple.com/Agreements.do
this site was down for a couple of days, but is at least working now.
i follow the "get started" link, and it next asks me to login, which i do. then i have a single link saying "Register an AppleCare Agreement" which i click. it brings me to the following page:
    https://selfsolve.apple.com/RegisterAgreement.do
this is where i can't continue. i get a drop down menu to select my country (i do) – and that's it; nothing else. all the titles, "review terms and conditions", "provide your address information" are greyed. even after selecting the country nothing happens; it does not ask for any further information, the page doesn't even reload.
i was wondering if the site is itself down, or if i'm doing something wrong.
can anyone help me, please? thanks.

Some unknowns which could impact the ability to load the page properly:
    1. The routing across the internet to your internet service provider in India is any better or worse than our own.
    2. You haven't stated what web browser and version you are using, or if any settings are turned off, or you are using the default settings.
    3. You haven't stated if you are behind a router/firewall, or directly hooked up to the internet provider, and if it is high speed or dialup.
    4. A continuing issue loading specific webpages on Apple's own website, which we wouldn't know unless we were also registering AppleCare at the time. If you call AppleCare, they would be getting additional calls to that effect if it were the case, and could tell you that you aren't alone.
That's why I recommend calling them, since they would be in a better position to know #4 if it is the case.

  • Verification of AppleCare registration?

Hi, I purchased an AppleCare protection plan at the same time as I purchased my MacBook Pro.  I believe I auto-enrolled, but when I log in under my AppleID and look for my registered AppleCare agreements, I am told I don't have any products registered.  How/where do I verify that my new laptop is, in fact, registered and covered by my new plan?
I tried following the registration steps, but I don't seem to have a registration number in my AppleCare plan -- I am guessing because it's an auto-enroll?
I just want to verify coverage and proper registration since my home internet was down when I brought my new computer home, so I skipped some of the setup steps that required network connectivity.
    Thanks!

    call AppleCare to verify.
