AppleCare Scratched My SCREEN.

an apple store bearby took my macbook to replace the white case since there was a manufacturing defect on the right side. i got it back looking great however, there were numerous fingerprints and smudges on the screen. I cleaned the screen but now noticed a scratch on the screen. its a small one, only visible when the macbook screen is off but nonetheless is there.
before i gave my macbook to apple the screen was looking brand new. i took extreme care of it and now i get it back with fingermarks and a small scratch?! im mad and before calling applecare i thought i would ask here what i should do.
i'm assuming the best thing to do is call applecare, tell them what happened and they will fix/replace the screen...
but this means another 4 days without a mac. i'm a college student that survives on the macbook. shouldn't mac do a little more than just replace the screen? it was an apple employees fingers/fault after all.
and what really pushes my buttons is that when i first discovered the finger smudges, which was in the mall, i walked back into the apple store and asked them if they could explain why the screen was all covered up like this.
the employee stated that they needed to touch the screen to replace the white "apple" case part, which i understand but it was visible that whoever took the mac apart was not nice when holding it. luckly i did remove the finger smudges and such but not that one small scratch.
the employee tried to get me to buy iklear for something that was not my fault.

Call AppleCare. I am now on the phone with them over my LCD screen. When I sent it in .... there was one knick on the screen and I could easily work around the imperfection. I got it back with a crack stretching from the bottom left to the top middle of the screen. So far, AppleCare has been EXTREMELY helpful; and I even think they are going to make good on it.
...Makes sense, I was not responsible for this.
But yeah, I say you call AppleCare and see what they say. Remain CALM as that is the best way to be treated the way you deserve.

Ever since I got my IPad the smart cover half the time does not put the Ipad to sleep. Also, the cover is scratching my screen. This smart cover is really causing me to regret my decision to sell my IPad 1 and get the second generation IPad. Also, Safari is and some of the other apps are constantly crashing, I am getting really frustrated where should I go from here the apple store has not been much of a help?
P.S.
I hope that this is not like the first generation Apple TV I bought which has never worked correctly (waste of 220 dollars).

I want to know if the iPhone has a scratch proof screen, As I dont want a screen Protector on mine. Will the screen get scratched? I've been using my iPod touch 4g for a year, and it never gets scratched!

If our iTouch didn't get scratched then you are lucky and have good habits for it's care, it's likely your iPhone will never get scratched.
The iPhone has aluminosilicate glass while the iTouch doesn't seem to AFAIK. My iPad which is presumably the same glass as the iPhone is visibly scratch free.
We bought my Daughter an iTouch 4th gen for Xmas and within a week it had a quarter inch scratch on the screen and she had a hard shell back cover on it but no screen protector...

There is NO product that will remove scratches from a MBP display. You certainly have the option of taking your MBP to an Apple store genius bar for an evaluation.

Scratch on screen - anybody know how to get rid of it?

I have a deep, but superficial scratch on my Macbook air glossy screen. The scratch is only in the film on top of the LCD display and the hardware underneath is not affected. Does any one know of a polish I could use to get rid of the scratch? I worry about applying abrasive to the film as I fear it may make the problem worse. Anybody know what to do?

If the scratch is deep, I would leave it be, as most cleaners/polishes won't remove deep scratches. Doing anything could make it worse, leaving it be is the _best option_. If it bugs you too much, you can spring the $200 to replace the screen yourself.

Knick/Scratch on Screen!!! Brand new MBP replacement..help!

My First MBP (Late 2008) had a Buzzing Fan.... Apple "Couldnt" fix, had to mail back to get a replacement.
Took 2 weeks.
Now replacement just got here today. Perfect, quitet, Even Lid, Screen is lit properly, No dead Pixels, BUT there is a small knick/scratch in the glass on the left side. It looks like this ~ same size and all, but vertical.
You can Feel the scratch... What DO I do? I cannot go without a computer again by sending this back. I cannot afford to take the chance on a replacement when everything else is right. And I cannot live with a scratch in a 2500$ computer screen.
People with screen issues.... can they just swap out the screen? Is it that easy? Or do I need a new computer... again. Im about to ask for my money back.

Repair man scratched my screen!

An Apple Service Centre employee has scratched my lovely MacBooks's screen! He claims it was there when I handed it in, which is a lie, but I can't prove it.
Anyway, I was hoping people could suggest any polishes I could use to reduce the scratch a bit. It is about 10mm long and quite deep - I can feel it easily with my fingernail.
Incidentally, I will never be going back there until my current problem is fixed. In replacing my top case, they managed to somehow overtighten something, and broke the CD drive "flaps" - now I need a whole new bottom case!

Buy AppleCare+ if demons haunt you and like to break your phone (some people try hard but just seem to have bad luck).
But "manufacturing defects" that occur within the first year are covered by the default warranty.

IPhone 6 Plus scratched the screen in normal use with 15 days of use.

I would like to express my sadness at the lack of quality and resistance in the new screen iPhone 6 plus, bought the unit within 15 days and am careful in handling the same, but when cleaning print marks realized various risks on the screen my device, thus making the aesthetics that we preserve both users, I sent my device to analyze the technical assistance of the apple to review the same and a possible replacement. Apple will not replace an iPhone just because the screen has scratches, this is not covered by the warranty. Check point (b):

Space bar scratched x61 screen

not sure if this is a common issue or just my x61 is not properlly assembled. both ends of my space bar are higher than the rest of the keyboard, and over time they left two white spots on the screen (LCD top layer scratched off), which are quite visible sometimes.
my X61 is two years old, can i get any LCD replacement for this? thanks guys..

you could call Lenovo and find out. But i don't think you will get it fixed under warranty in China.

No, the basic warranty does not cover any accidental damage, damage from abuse or mis-use. The normal AppleCare extended warranty also does not cover such events.
If you have AppleCare+ you do have two accidental damage claims, for (I think) $79.00 a claim now? But only AppleCare+ includes any accidental damage coverage.
