Appleid on 2 phones

Can I only push music from device to device with 1 apple id and not push apps. I have an ipad for work and dont want those apps to push to my wifes phone but we only want to use the one apple id.

If you are signed in to the same AppleID on multiple devices, but you only want to share some purchases.
In Settings>Store> turn off Music, apps, Books under automatic downloads.
Then you can just go to the App store>updates>purchased and download items at your own choice

Bad mistake. You shouldn't have used your Apple ID on his phone. And you made it worse because now the contacts are gone, as you deleted them from your phone, they got deleted on iCloud. Your husband should have his Apple ID.
There is really no way of recovering the deleted contacts unless you backed up using iTunes and even then you will only be able to recover those contacts that were on a call list. Read here:

Okay, that makes sense. While it may not work on your particular provider, the phone will work with another SIM. You will not incur charges with that, but as I indicated earlier, all of your content is available on the device for the thief to view. Unless there is anything they can use, they will more than likely wipe the device clean and just use it themselves.

Do you have multiple accounts or have you updated your account on your computer's iTunes and the update hasn't copied over to your iPhone ? If you've updated your account then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores on your phone and log out of it and then log back in with the updated version.
If you have multiple accounts then you can log out of your account on your phone as above, or your computer's iTunes via the Store > Sign Out menu option, and you can then log in with the other account. But all content is tied to the account that downloaded it.

Cannot change appleid on my phone. Some other id is on there and there is no way to delete it. I have logged out and logged back in in settings, then when I go back to the store it still says the other appleid

I switched to a different iphone today. When I go in to do my updates it has another person's apple id. Even when I went into settings, log out, and log back in that apple id is still there. I cannot get it to go away and it isn't in my settings to delete.

Deleted contacts from iphone 4s, loaded new contacts from to phone from .csv file. then I enabled icloud and it put all my old contacts back.

My wife and I both have Iphones. For the past 18 months her phone and mine had the same appleID (mine). When I set up iCLoud backups and synch a month ago, my wifes phone ended up with all my contacts (1400+) and her's (<100) mixed together. Didn't bother me, but drover her wild trying to find 'her' contacts.
Oviously she needed to have her own appleID on her phone.
After a lot of googling around I found the "Import Export Contacts" app. It works great. I opens a Service to a browser screen on a computer and can upload/download to/from the phone.
I downloaded my copy of the combined contact list. I found her's reletively easily by sorting on 'date changes' column.
On her phone I deleted the contact file. and set up her own appleID
I created a .csv with her contacts only and moved it into her phone. then set up the phone to manage contacts in the icloud properties screen.
All her (and my) contacts came back. I thought when I deleted the contacts on her phone, the iclud synch woudl deleted them on icloud and then when I loaded ne contaces on her phone it would sych with icloud and all woudl be right with teh world.
What can I do next? I can give her her phone with her old contacts and not backup with icloud, but then she could lose her

IMessage has wrong phone number how do I change it

My iPhone 4S uses the correct # and so did my ipad up until about a month ago. That's when my daughter got her new 5C and it was set up. She's only 10, so they set it up under my appleID, now her phone # is showing up on my Ipad as the number to send messages to. She is receiving all my text and I hers.
How do I change the number back to mine on the ipad?

Try this on both you and your daughters iPhones:
1. go to settings>messages>send and receive
2. tap on the Apple ID and sign out
3. turn iMessage off and wait 10 seconds
4. turn iMessage on
5. this should activate iMessage with the iPhones own numbers
6. now only you sign into the Apple ID for iMessage
This should revert back to only your number and email showing as the contact info for iMessage and you both should not receive eachothers messages. Your daughter will still be able to iMessage but only with her number unless she creates another Apple ID just for iMessage.
Note: Only do steps 1-4 for the iPad

Do you guys use the same computer with itunes on it? And the best way to get them off is to go into the Setting>Itunes & App Store and sign out of her appleid if it's listed there. Also just delete all of the apps from her appleid off your phone.

Alternative ways to transfer my contacts from one phone to another.

My old phone is a Curve 8310 and my new phone is a Torch 9800. The reason for the new phone is the pins where you plug the USB cable into on the 8310 broke. So can't charge it or connect it to my computer to get my contacts out to transfer to my Torch. Is there a way to get this information out via the Bluetooth or with the mini SD card?

Updating apps still asks for former appleID??

I recently received an iphone4 as a gift from a friend who updated to the 5. I've associated my appleID w the phone, have my backup assistant on w all my contacts and everything, but when I go to update my apps it still asks for the password to her appleID. I've deleted her account completely from every area on the phone, but this still happens. Does anyone have any info on how to remedy this situation?

Apps have an Apple ID associated with them - namely, the Apple ID of the original purchaser (or downloader, in the case of free apps). Those apps remain the property of that person who holds that Apple ID. Generally speaking, other people cannot use those apps without some type of action, because of ownership issues.
So it sounds like when you received the iPhone 4, you might not have started with a completely clean slate. Starting with a clean slate would involve doing a Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings before doing anything else. It would also involve making sure the iPhone was logged in to FaceTime, iMessage, did not have an Apple ID assoicated with the iTunes Store, and, after the erasing, never had any contact with the former owner's iTunes.

I had to change my Apple ID and my phone does not recognise my new id.

I had to change my Apple ID since I've gotten my iphone 4s. My computer recognises my "new account" but my phone does not. This poses a problem when I have app updates and the password promt has my OLD apple id and not the new one. Anyone have any ideas with what can fix this? Thanks!!! =-)

No need to double post.
Again, as stated, apps are FOREVER tied to the AppleID under which they were purchased. If you change your AppleID, the apps purchased on the old AppleID will NOT work. If you want to keep your new AppleID, you will have to purchase all those apps again, or else you'll need to keep changing your AppleID on your phone back and forth.

How to I change my apple ID on my phone to update my apps?

I am having trouble figureing out how to change my appleID on my phone. My roommate used my computer and somehow while I as updating my phone her id switched onto my phone, but pnly for my appleID for updating apps. How to I change it from hers back to mine?

I have the same problem. I tried logging out and back in and no joy. It shows my Apple ID but when I try to update my apps my fiances Apple ID comes up and I need to use her password. Any other suggestions?

HT5622 Create a 2nd AppleID without losing the initial one?

I initially set up my phone (5) and wife's phone (4S) with the same AppleID, not realizing at the time that we would get each others Apps or Contact list via the Cloud. Is there a way I can create a new AppleID for her phone without needing to delete mine or either of us losing our contact lists, etc.? The only change I could make on her phone was to change her iTunes but not our original account name. Hope this makes sense.

On her phone: Go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account. Then log in using a different ID. This will delete your data from her phone but will not delete it from your icloud storage nor your devices.
