AppleLPC.kext gone, what to do?

hey guys, after the firmware update everytime Ive had to boot my macbook I get the same message as its loading the desktop "Applelpc.kext was installed improperly contact the vendor, reinstallation needed" or something to that effect. Anyone have a fix/know what it does. And if the only solution is an archive and install could someone explain what that entails. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've run updaters.. error persisted.
Tried re-installing the airport extensions from install DVD using pacifist (great utility)
Don't know what AppleLPC is but still getting the "installed improperly" error as per first message on this thread. Can't find anything like it on the install DVDs to try and re-install it.
Mac seems happy without it.. but very curious what it does too.

Your contacts are helpd on the server, so if you sign out from your iCloud account and sign into another one they will disappear. If you sign back into the original account they will reappear.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

App (pinned) tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data [1] in the file sessionstore.js [2] in the Firefox profile folder [3].
Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.

Be sure to look closely for the app in all of your user created folders.

I would start by resetting the workspace to Essentials
Window>Workspace>Essentials
Or you could go to Window>Layers

Upgraded to 7.0.2, suddenly 2/3 of my music is gone. what now?

The subject line says it all: huge amounts of my music vanished after I upgraded iTunes. What the ****?! Fortunately, most of the missing stuff was from CDs that I own, so it's not like I can't get it back, but: 1) it's a freakin lot of work & 2) I'm not even sure of what is missing (since we're talking hundreds of songs vanished) -- until I look for a particular song & it's not there, which is what happened just now. But most of all, software should not behave like this!
What I want to know is: did my music just get hidden someplace else on my computer? (Spotlight couldn't find anything.) What do I do when I figure out something is gone that I'd downloaded? Is Apple going to fix this problem???

The following Apple link refers to iTunes 6 and later.
Read the procedure slowly and very carefully before you start moving Folders, especially the renaming of the Previous Music Library folder. I also recommend a Restart before relaunching iTunes.

Extract tool is gone - what's the best tool to use now ?

Hello everyone,
for those who extract subjects from backgrounds on a regular basis, what tool do you now using, seeing the Extract tool is gone in CS4 ?

Quick Select tool works well for many cases. Secret is to use small brush size and mark both the selected areas (with the + tool) and the non-selected areas (with the - tool).
If you can't find something that satisfies you, you can install Extract from the CS4 Extras. This will be on your PS install disk or in the Extras you downloaded if you purchased and downloaded online.
If you still can't find it, Russell Brown has the extra files on his site. There are also good tutorials for just about any extract/masking/knockout method you can think of.

If your iPod is set to sync automatically with iTunes you need to take care connecting it to an empty library.
1). Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to sync automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
Alternatively open iTunes first and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box "Prevent iPods and iPhones from syncing automatically" and choose Ok. Then connect your iPod.
2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
3). Once you are connected and your iPod is safely in manual mode there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. iTunes will only give you the option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads etc) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

4). Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.
5). I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
