Apples Settings-app freezes
Settings app is stuck on general settings and i cannot change anything on general settings or change settings category. Nothing happens, sometimes it crashes. Have stopped all apps including settings app but nothing helps. Is this a new "feature" with the latest patch or is something wrong with my ipad?

No, it's not a feature.
Try restarting the iPad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press andhold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, and the iPad is unresponsive, follow the instructions here.

IOS5 - iCloud password rejected, Settings app freezes
My wife and I have had a MobileMe account for a couple of years. After we both installed iOS5, I upgraded us from MobileMe to iCloud. I then set up the iCloud options on my phone without any (immediately obvious) issues. Setting up iCloud on both our Macs went smoothly as well.
Here's the problem: every time we've tried to set up my wife's phone with our iCloud credentials, the password is rejected. Not only that, but on each attempt the Settings app actually freezes as soon as the 'incorrect password' alert is displayed! She has to force quit Settings, which is really strange. We've since retried the iCloud setup process on her phone every couple of days since, and the same exact thing happens every time. I even reset our password and updated everything accordingly, and entering it on her phone it doesn't resolve anything.
This is one of several presumably interrelated iCloud password issues I've had. In addition to the issues on my wife's phone, mine prompts me daily to verify my iCloud password. Finally, our Airport Extreme is flashing amber and Airport Utility reports that my MobileMe password is incorrect. I guess I should probably post those separately.
If anyone has any advice, I'd sure appreciate it.Welcome to the Apple community.
Since you are encountering the same problem on multiple devices, it may well be worth considering that iCloud has had some issues today. You may wish to try again later. -

Maybe you can help me. We have been getting incorrect password alerts across all devices.. MacBookAir, iPhone 4 & 4s and iPad 2. We have aol , gmail and bellsouth email accts. the thing is they work and then don't work and back and forth every couple of days.. Very frustrating. Apple genius bar suggested the gmail acct over aol and said that should work but it happens on gmail also. When they aren't working the notice comes up repeatedly and when you put the pw in it still says it is wrong. And then it will work at some later point.

Gaming apps freezes for few seconds , then resumes by itself or crashes sometimes ,after upgrading to iOS 8.3 on iphone 6
Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
3. Do a soft and hard reset.
4. Reset network settings.
5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :) -
Ipad mini 2 ios 8.1 apps freezing
I'm having problems with apps freezing. Usually what happens is i close an app using the 4 finger hand gesture and it will freeze half way while closing the app. I will then click the home button and it will take me back to the home screen. After that it will let me open up any app but it wont let me click anything, only on the home screen. Happens daily at this point and have to restart every time.

Having your apps freeze can certainly be frustrating. After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with software issues. Have you attempted to restore the device to factory settings without restoring from a backup? Test the issue on a new installation, and make sure that it works. Then use the same article to restore from your backup to either verify it still works, or isolate the issue to the backup itself.

Apps freeze during update in iOS 8.02
After updating to 8.02 I am having my ipad freeze during the app update process. I get the circle but the ring fails to show any download progress. If I touch the circle it returns to the update button? This on a new iPad air
Close the App Store app and reset your iPad.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If those things made no difference, try this. Reset all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings. -
Music app freezes on my iphone4
The music app freezes when I play music on my iphone 4. It seems to want to skip songs and then locks up. Then only way to get it working again is to stop my playlist, close the app and then start again. This is annoying when working out. Anyone know of a fix? I am updated to the latest itunes and iphone OS.
Updating to iOS 5.1.1 may be, as it replaces a potentially corrupt iOS on your phone. If it doesn't, then something has become corrupt in your backup and you wlll have to save as much of your data as possible (import all photos, backup all contacts, write down your email settings, etc.) and restore the phone as new. Some safety tips prior to updating your iOS:
Back up your contacts, either to iCloud, Google or another cloud service; to a supported program such as Outlook, or using an app like My Contacts Backup
Import all photos and videos to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083)
These are the two things the most commonly go missing when people update or restore their phone.
Edit: shutting down and restarting you phone probably won't help, resetting it might (which is like rebooting your computer when something isn't working)

When I try to copy paste my app freezes and returns to the home screen please help.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that didn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then restart your iPhone. -

iPad 2 Camera - Doesnt Work

So I got the iPad 2 last Wednesday and tried facetime. It seemed to work then froze, but I gave up as it was still new and I was still figuring things out. Anyway i'd use the camera a few times (maybe 3) and made maybe 2 quick videos, nothing big. I never use the camera much. Today I went to videotape my nephew and clicked the camera screen, but it wouldnt leave the shutter screen. If i restore it to default, it works. But as soon as I sync my iPad up so it restores all my settings, the camera freezes. Obviously facetime and photobooth don't load either.
I think a few people have this issue, what was the resolution? if i take it to apple will they give me a new one on the spot or send it in for repairs, and im without it for a while?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
If when you restore the iPad to the factory settings the camera works, then there is nothing wrong with the iPad, you have something corrupt in the backup that you are using to restore your previous settings. I would delete the backup and start fresh. Go to iTunes/Preferences/Devices and delete any and all backups there for the iPad.
Then configure and sync the iPad as if it were new from the box for the first time.

Mine Also i recieved my ipad last wednesday after strange delay in shipping in hong kong and my front camera does not work at all and i update ipad and reset many times without sucsess .
Camera application start on back camera and ok and then when i try to switch to front one it freeze with last image from back camera then after i close the application from multitask bar and open it again it show me shutter picture !!!!
I think apple has problem in this patch of production .

Try this reset. Press & Hold the Sleep/Wake and the Home buttons simultaneously for 10+ seconds. Ignore the red power off slider.

I try it without any success and i try even to restore the same result . as i see the first group of ipad 2 which ordered on 11 march and delivered on last wednesday is almost have issue in front camera between freeze and not working at all .

Deleting my backups and starting fresh kinda *****. I'd rather not have to re-do all my settings like email and my apps. Its not that i have a lot of apps, maybe 5 or so I use, but still, its a bit of a pain. I guess I can TRY it... can't hurt right...
I dont want to just delete my backups though, i'll store them somewhere else (i think i remember where apple stores them) and copy them over later if i need to.
Worth a shot, better this then my iPhone which has a ton of apps I use for work. Im still setting the iPad up for my work stuff. Will let you know how i make out.
BTW the home/power reset didnt work, ive obviously tried this many times, and just now while writing this. Same issues.

So heres an update. I just restored the iPad so its back to factory default... and the camera is locking up now. I didnt even sync it, its brand new now... same issue

I have iPad 2, currently on 5.1.1 iOS. This problem that i have did not ever happened before. Did not install or change anything, but this started to happen.
So i have about 11 Gb of music in my ipod app. Whenever i select a song to play (from the whole songs list) it starts playing just fine. When i press on another song the app freezes and iPad stops responding too. After 2-5 mins it resprings itself. Also restarting manually seems to be working.
What are the options for me? Restoring/upgrading would be the last thing i want to do. Already tried resetting all settings.

Having the exact same issue. Also, on right click, many apps freeze/beachball and must force close. Additionally, uTorrent and Transmission are not operating correctly-uTorrent constantly beachballing and unresponsive. Right-click freezes with everything from Word to iMovie. Takes way too much time to do anything, and lots of cursor freezing, here is a sys log excerpt:

disk2s1 (disk2s1) <not mounted>: 209.7 MBI'm having the same issue - started a few months ago and had to forcibly shut down the Mac. That killed the hard drive, so I got a new hard drive and had the Apple Store install Lion on it, then used Migration Assistant to bring files over. Since then I've upgraded to Mountain Lion and have been experiencing lots of beach balls, freezes, etc. They're so bad that I've had to forcibly shut down 3 times, and each time can't restart. my 2009 macbookpro has begun running very slowly, apps freeze and pages hang ... i've run EtreCheck and there are problems but don't know how to sort ... ran CleanMyMac and freed up about 30GB of space but didn't help ... ran AdwareMedic so that's been sorted but the other issues that came up on the EtreCheck I need help with however i can't figure out how to paste the results on this page

Can I restore settings, apps and data from an external hard drive to new Macbook Pro?
I recently lost my Macbook Pro to water damage. It was about 3 years old and tuned for comfort. Unfortunately, my most recent backup is at least 3 months old. I purchased a new MacBook Pro and I'm wondering what my options are for migrating my settings, apps and data from the old hard drive to the new MacBook Pro? I have a USB drive bay that I plan to attach to the new MBP to gain access to the old hard drive. Someone suggested Migration Assistant but my research hasn't turned up any information about migrating data from an external drive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.THANKS! I guess my research wasn't THAT thorough. I booted with the external drive attached and setup immediately gave me the option to setup using Migration Assistant. It was a little slow via USB (2+ hours) but it was nothing compared to the time it would have taken to do it manually. My new 15" MBP looks exactly like my old 13" MBP. AWESOME!!!

How do I hide the red "1" badge in the Settings app?
I have no intention of updating from iOS 6 to 7, as I understand it runs slowly on iPhone 4. Just today the little red "1" badge showed up on the Settings app icon and I'd like to make it go away. I tried Settings>Notifications, but Settings isn't in the list of apps to configure. Is there any way to clear it that doesn't involve jailbreaking?
