  • Exporting a sequence and getting an Error file too big message

I have tried to export a sequence using Quicktime conversion. It is a two minute clip and I keep getting an "Error, File too big" message. Does anyone know what can be happening?

What exactly are you exporting to? Settings, codec, data rate? What drive are you exporting to? How is it formatted?

  • Window too big

Last night i reset the prefs in Safari and now the page is too big. the scroll slider on the right is not in view. I trashed the plist file but no luck.
    any thoughts?

You did not say whether you had tried clicking on the green re-size button in the top left of the window (on the title bar). That usually sets the size to the max or optimum size for the screen. If you then drag the size (bottom right corner) to a custom size, clicking the green button will toggle between the two sizes.
Firefox windows had a nasty habit of jumping up to the point that the top of the window was hidden, and the title bar was hidden as well as the toolbars. To see them again, I had to use command-D (create bookmark) to make the title bar show itself again. Version 2.0.0.11 (current but 2.0.0.12 is waiting for me to re-boot) does the same thing but only when I attempt to move the window while it is in the middle of downloading a document.

  • Application windows too big

The screen size of the desk top is fine. Every application you open - IE - WORD - EXCEL etc... is too big on the screen. How do you make the information smaller in windows 7 ??

    Hello Sherri123,
Check your screen resolution to ensure it's properly set. Right click on an open area on your desktop and select screen resolution. The lower the screen resolution (such as 640 x 480) the bigger the programs will appear. You want a higher resolution such as 1024 x 768 to make them appear properly.

  • Itunes 11 window too big for macbook pro

My itunes window is too big for my macbook pro screen. Itunes 11.0.2, macbook 10.8.3. How can I make it fit?

Click here and use one of the scripts to change the size of the window. This works with applications other than iTunes as well.

  • Attach/open file window too big for screen

Just recently I've found that when I go to attach a file in email for example, or open something in the finder the window that comes up from which I can choose my file is too big for the screen. So the bottom corner, which has the "attach" or "Cancel" buttons, is obscured. It's very frustrating... I can hit enter to attach a file but can't cancel it if I change my mind. Hope that makes sense... I've moved the dock out of the way but that doesn't help at all, and I can't use the green button to resize or anything.
Hope someone can help... I've also restarted the computer but the problem is still there. I'm using a macbook pro, and I have upgraded to the latest OSX software.
    thanks

    Hi!
I'd click the title bar of the application, then click on the + to fit on screen.

  • Error file too big

When I try to export my file with dvcpro hd compression I get an error message that file is too big. I have exported it with mpeg successfully, but I would like to export it in its original format. My fcp file is only 19MB, and has several audio generators. The pixels on my QT video become slightly distorted at times with the MP4 codec. I have experimented exporting it with different Kbits speed from 8000 to 5000. Not sure where to go from here to get a good looking video. My full project is only 45 minutes long.
    What should I try next?

A 45min. DVCProHD clip (at full rez) will require about 45Gb of disk space. The size of the project file has no bearing.
What is your intended use for the exported file?...DVD, Broadcast, Web delivery?
How you export will be determined by your delivery medium.
If for Broadcast, you'll likely want full rez, but will need to ensure that you're matching your broadcasters specs.
If for DVD, (HD or SD???)...you can use Compressor or QT Conversion. Likewise for Web...you can use Compressor or QT Conversion.
Be advised that unless you're exporting full rez for Broadcast (and likely then as well, due to Broadcaster spec requirements)...you'll face some level of compression/degradation, unless you're exporting out to DVCProHD tape or for sneaker-net delivery via external hard drive.
Let us know what you intend to do with the piece and we can go from there.

  • HDR window too big for screen

When I open the "Merge to HDR Pro" dialog box, it is too big for the screen and I cannot resize it. Pressing the green + button just resizes the too big screen above my dock, but it is still too big for the options that lie at the bottom of the dialog box. How do I fix this?

What is the screen resolution of your monitor?
    One workaround I've seen is:
    Hide your OS X dock
    Quit Photoshop
    Restore your prefs: http://adobe.ly/PS_Prefs
    Restart Photoshop

  • Numbers window too big

For some reason everything I open a new numbers document session the spreadsheet is far to big for my screen and I need to reduce its size.
Do you know why it is going this or how I can stop it?

Unfortunately you still aren't being clear if it is a view issue or a table size issue.
As the reply posts say, if the table is too big for your needs make it smaller and go to File>>save as newe template. Go to preferences and select the new template as the default.
If the table has the right number of columns and rows but your screen isnt big enough use Yvan' solution.

  • Mail window too big

(I am trying to solve this for my mom over the phone as she is 2 hours away from me, but am stumped. She has never used a computer before now, but I am not that much better)
She says she was typing a reply to an email within Mail and guesses that she must have inadvertantly hit something and everything all of the sudden turned huge and when she closes out, her stamp disappeared from the dock. It is not a re-sizing issue as I had her try the green button and the lower left resizing corner. I had her replace the mail stamp in her dock and re-start her computer, but apparently when she opens mail, it still has a huge window. Any ideas? I know this probably isn't much information, but I can pump her for more if anyone has any obvious ideas. I can't imagine what key would've caused such a mis-hap.
    thanks,
    jpenn
p.s. i had her put a COPY of mail back in the dock by option dragging, so it wouldn't remove mail out of her applications folder. was that right?

    OK. thanks on the alias.
zoom is off in universal access.
more info from her: when she opens mail, for a split second she sees a glimpse of the inbox and then the big reply message (she had previously started when it happened) appears. It covers the entire screen, but the left side is completely cut off, so she cannot view the red, yellow and green buttons at the top left. When she tries to move it side to side, it will not budge. If she tries to re-size it from the bottom right corner, it bounces back full screen minus the left side.

  • Window too big for screen

I am fairly new to using PS with a Mac, so there may be a simple fix for this. I finally got the workspace window in CS5 to fit the entire screen on my IMac. Recently, the window has gotten so big, that it hides the tool bars on the sides and bottom of the screen. When I switch to 'full screen with tool bar', I can see everything, but there seems to be no way to permanently restore these settings. Can anyone help?

    Hi!
I'd click the title bar of the application, then click on the + to fit on screen.

  • Probe window too big

I'm using LV2011, and in previous versions the Probe tool was a small unobnoxious window containing the probe number and the value of the variable. Now a probe is a bigger more generalized window with a table in it listing ALL probes and a column for time stamps, and it takes up so much space I prefer to create temporary Indicators to do troubleshooting. This big window is appropriate for multiple probes, but if I'm only using ONE probe, it's obnoxious. Is there any option for displaying the old style probe window?

Use the "Open in new window" button in the top-left of the Probe Watch Window. This will open a single, small window that only contains the value of the probe. Once the new window is open, just minimize the Probe Watch Window.
Or, meet the new style half-way and click the "Hide probe display" of the top-right corner, then left-click and drag the "Last Updated" column off screen; this will give you a reduced version of the new Probe Watch Window.

  • New site window too big

On my laptop the panel that sets the parameters for a new
site, like root folder, etc., is so big that I can't see the top or
bottom edges. The only way to get out of the window is to force
Dreamweaver to quit. Is there a preference somewhere? This program
was 'ported over from a G5 with a larger screen.
    Thanks

Does your system meet the minimum requirements of 1024x768

  • Error message too big to fit onto screen and I can't scroll down

I have compiled an email with a lot of addresses cc'd in it and the mail programme is bringing up an error message when I try to send it. The trouble is that the error message is so long that I can't see the end of it and it won't scroll down so I can't see what the options are to react to it. I have tried all sorts of fixes. Any suggestions?
    Already tried:
    -Changing the screen resolution
-using the tab key to try to select different options then pressing enter
-simply pressing enter (this has the effect of trying to send the message later I think, but the same problem comes up again so I am stuck in a never ending loop, unable to fix it!)
    - dragging to the trash (it won't let me)
using the mouse to try and drag the corners of the message in (works for the email, but not for the error message)
Please help - this is driving me crazy!
    thank you!

I think you're going to have to find & delete that particular one without Mail running, then redo it it with maybe 33 per send.
