Oh I found something: the message in the plugin....-log says
<message>network: Connecting http://www.unifr.ch/about_dokpe/monomap.jar
And the path should be http://www.unifr.ch/dokpe/about_dokpe/monomap.jar
So the /dokpe/ part is lost here.
The html has <BASE href="http://www.unifr.ch/dokpe/">
and the applet code is
<applet code='ch.unifr.dokpe.applet.monomap.MonoMap.class' height=550 width=700 codebase='../../about_dokpe/' archive='monomap.jar'>
Have to work on this.
Idea someone ?

I was not having a problem and then out of no where on Sept. 13 my game rooms failed to load and this message started appearing. I have done everything asked of me to clear files both Internet and Java, to uninstall, re-install, etc...nothing works. Does anyone have an answer for a very non technical user?

  • Applets not working with Java 1.7.0_51 in MII 14.0 SP4 Patch 5

    Hi,
I'm currently evaluating the migration of our MII 12.0 developments to MII 14.
But I'm running in several issues just trying to use simple things like a SQL query template with an iGrid Display template in test mode.
Used versions are: MII 14.0 SP4 Patch 5 and on client side the latest Mozilla Firefox with Java 1.7.0_51
At first I always get a java security warning when the applet is being loaded about unsigned applications.
At second the applet itself is not running. It always shows "No data available" and the java console shows the following errors (iResult is the id of the applet):
iResult [ERROR] - Couldn't set query template: No Query Defined
iResult [ERROR] - Couldn't set display template: null
iResult [ERROR] - Couldn't set display template: null
Is this perhaps a general problem, that the MII applets are not working with Java 1.7.x versions?
If I call the same MII page from a client with Java 1.6.x it is working without errors.
Do you have some suggestions for me?
    Regards Timo

please clear your JAVA Cache. that should solve the JRE issue. thanks

  • Signed Applet not loading on Mac OS X if using HTTPS protocol

    Hi All,
I need to open a trusted applet on Mac OS 10.2. The applet works fine if using HTTP protocol. But if the protocol used is HTTPS the the applet does not loads and "javax.net.ssl.SSLException - untrusted server cert chain" exception comes on the console.
The error comes for both - Verisign and javakey - signed applet.
On seaching for possible solution on the net, i came across following link: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20020525101202503&query=Workaround+for+secure+Java+applet+problems
It says that this is Mac's known bug and gives the workaround as:
    1. Access the problematic site with Internet Explorer on Windows. Click on the padlock item and export the certificate to a file.
    2. Copy the certificate to your Mac.
    3. Use the command
sudo keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore /Library/Java/Home/lib/security/cacerts -file mycert.cer
to import the certificate file to your keystore (substitute mycert.cer with the name of the file containing the certificate). The keystore is password protected - the default password is "changeit".
    4. Restart your browser
But the client cannot be asked to do all this to run the applet.
Is this problem being solved by Mac in their java implementation or is there any other possible solution?
    Thanx in advance.
    Regards,
    Charu

I am experiencing the same problem - I notice it does not happen on OS9.2 using IE but appears a problem on all browsers on OSX
Apple gave me the following reply.....
Re: Bug ID# 3268633: cannot load applet class under https connection
    Hello Andrew,
Thank you for bringing this problem to our attention. We have received feedback
    from engineering on your
    reported issue.
Please know that to get Java to recognize the certificate you will need to do
    one of two things, depending
on which VM you are using. Since you want it to work with Internet Explorer, we
    will assume Java 1.3.1.
In Java 1.3.1 you'll need to add the certificate to
    /Library/Java/Home/lib/security/cacerts using
/usr/bin/keytool to import the certificate into the certificate database.
In Java 1.4.1 you should be able to just add the certificate to the keychain
    using certtool. For more
details on how to do this, please refer to the information found at
    <http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/docs/tooldocs/solaris/keytool.html>. After
doing so, if you should require
further help from Apple in resolving this issue, we recommend that you request
    assistance from Developer
Technical Support. This must be done by filing a Technical Support Incident.
So I am supposed to tell every Mac user to do the above am I?!!!

  • Java not loading with Safari after updates

Recently, following security updates, Java applets that have
previously functioned fine do not any more. This is true for
Safari 2.0.3 (and in fact for Firefox 1.5); however, the applets
do load and function with Opera 5.
Looking at the Installed Plug-Ins list in Safari shows
Java 1.3.1 Plug-in (CFM) — from file “Java Applet Plugin Enabler”.
Java Switchable Plug-in (Cocoa) — from file “JavaPluginCocoa.bundle”
    Java 1.3.1 Plug-in — from file “Java Applet.plugin”
What is odd to me is that I have done the Software updates for
Java 1.4.2 and for Java 5.0. In addition in
    /Applications/Utilities/Java/
    we find, amongst other things,
    /Applications/Utilities/Java/J2SE 5.0/Java Cache Viewer.app:
    /Applications/Utilities/Java/J2SE 5.0/Java Preferences.app:
    /Applications/Utilities/Java/Java 1.3.1 Plugin Settings.app
    /Applications/Utilities/Java/Java 1.4.2 Plugin Settings.applist
I have run all three settings applications; set them I hope
correctly; and had no satisfaction. None of the three caches shows
    any content now.
I have recently removed ~/Library/Caches/Java* anyway.
I have deleted and reinstalled Safari from the distribution disc.
I have updated it (and whatever else gets treated at that time) with
the 10.4.6 Combo Updater. I've installed the Java updates 1.4.2 and
    1.5 (i.e. J2SE 5.0) separately too. Actually I've carried out such steps
    as mentioned more than once.
All the above to no avail. Java applets just don't load any more. Equally
annoying is that I have no mental picture of what ought to be
happening, nor any clue as to where to acquire one.
Please, could anyone help with the practical aspect of getting the
    applets going again?
As well, I would much appreciate being pointed to any good
explanations of what ought to be going on.
    iMac 4,1; Mac OS X (10.4.6)
    Safari 2.0.3; Java 1.3.1; Java 1.4.2; J2SE 5.0

Indeed I did the installations in a good order, and the applets were in
no way incompatible with the latest Java. However, as a result
of the update, or in some way or other that I am unaware of (including
the possibility that I did it myself, but had forgotten it) I was running
Safari 2.0.3 under Rosetta. Apparently this is 'well known' to stop the Java
applet service. I did not know this, and I found the possibility by
serendipity from a search on the discussion forums for 'Safari and
    Java applet'.
The message that was key for me was
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1967571&#1967571
    where it was remarked
"The problem was that I was running Safari under - Rosetta. Turning off Rosetta made the problem go away."
So ignorant was I of what this meant that I floundered about a bit,
getting all the advertising hype about how wonderful Rosetta would
be or was, before I got the tip from my own machine's Help that I could
turn it off by unchecking a box in the GetInfo dialogue box for a program.
Indeed I found that 'Open using Rosetta' was checked for Safari. Removing
the Rosetta requirements means Java applets run again for me.
I don't see the Java plugins 1.4.2 and 1.5 in the
    'Safari>Help>Installed Plug-Ins'
window where the 1.3.1 version appeared before. But I do have
a Java Console window and it mentions 1.4.2, which I selected as
preferred in complying with the last suggestion offered me.
I note with interest that the last thing I did before the penny finally
dropped was to get the latest version of WebKit and try that. Java
applets do not work there, and Rosetta requirements have never been
    On!
I suppose I can now turn to getting Firefox working with Java applets.
It still does not: there is no special indication of this except that the
area where the applet output should be is left blank.
SO: If applets don't work, check early that you haven't selected
'Open using Rosetta' for the program Safari. It might be the easy
    answer to the problem.

Like any good developer I have fixed my problem.
This blog gave me some clues and I think it comes down to how i have built and deployed it.

In the meantime to see it work in a browser i have opened it offline and just opened the html page that was in my dist folder created by netbeans.

    I deduce that
The same user has tried different machines within the networkproduces the same behaviour.
Another user has tried on a different machine on the same network with the same results.A different user on a different machine is not likely to tell us anything.

  • 11g admin applets not loading

Hello - would love any help. I cannot get into admin applets on my windows 7 installation. i was able to access through another computer, but now i can't with that. when i get into the admin page (with chrome, firefox, or MS explorer), the java icons just keep loading. when i try through the OS, it prompts for username and password and they are incorrect. (i am sure they are correct). with safari, i get the error "The Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded from <C:\PROGRA~2\oracle\JavaFX2.1 Runtime\bin\server\jvm.dll>. I tried a full text search for parts of this path and can not find where it is set. does anyone know how to change the JRE path?
    thanks!
    Terri

Take a look at those threads: Problem with Admin Applets ! Admin Applets not working
Usually, it is a Java version. Sometimes, using a different browser also helps (I used to have issues with Mozilla Firefox, but in Chrome it worked fine).

  • Photoshop CS5 does not load with Lion upgrade

The pop-up note says java runtime is needed but internet connection is not detectable. Diagnostics say internet connections exists. CS5 operated well on Snow Leopard for my intel i-mac. Any ideas why CS5 applications will not load on Lion OS?

Hi, Have you tried to manually download it from the Apple Support Page?
If that didn't work, have you tried to download it on another computer and transfer it and install it?
I've found an KB article from Adobe that lists known issues with Adobe products on Mac OS 10.7 Lion.
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/905/cpsid_90508.html
    I use Mac OS X 10.6.8 and Adobe CS5.
