Applet Started in IE but no Form

Hi,
In Forms 10g when I run form built with Forms 6i then IE launches and shows nothing just says Applet Started in Status Bar.
Forms built with 10g are running normally in IE.
Thanks.

Hi ,
It's somehow confused....
In Forms 10g when I run form built with Forms 6i ...Did you run a form 6i without compiling it in Forms10g...???
In Forms 10g when I run form built with Forms 6i then IE launches and shows nothing just says Applet Started in Status Bar
Forms built with 10g are running normally in IE
Eventually... the forms 6i - without have been compiled to Forms10g- are not displayed...????
Please , clarify your problem .. in a simpler way....!!!!
My greetings
Simon

  • Blueman-applet starts with error, but bluetooth seems to work normally

    Hello guys. I just read the wiki article Bluetooth, following everything. Then installed this AUR package bluez5-git to have an applet on my xfce4-panel. I had spend all my evening try learn how to compile a custom kernel version just to make bluetooth work, as 3.15 Linux kernel breaks it. :C After all mess I had done in front of my computer, I finally got it working. But everytime I login, this error comes up:
    Failed to apply network settings
    org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ChildSignaled: Process org.blueman.Mechanism received signal 5
    You might not be able to connect to the Bluetooth network via this machine
    The sames happens if I kill blueman-applet and start it again.
    I just don't know what to do next.

    Hi, thanks for replying.

    bluez5 is a version of blueman, you can see the package here.

    my autofill stopped working recently.  I looked under preferences and all the necessary boxes are checked.  When I start to fill out a form, the autofill box comes up, but when I click on it, it turns blue and nothing else happens.

    Back up all data, then test after each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
    1. Press the down-arrow key. (Credit to ASC member iNeight.)
    2. Quit and relaunch Safari. Force quit if necessary.
    3. Click in the first field to be filled, and then select
    Edit ▹ AutoFill Form
    from the menu bar. You may have to reload the page in order to do this.
    4.  Select
    Contacts ▹ Preferences ▹ vCard
    and uncheck the box marked
    Enable private me card
    if it's checked.
    5. Select your card in Contacts. Then select
    Card ▹ Make This My Card
    from the menu bar.
    6. In Safari, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ AutoFill ▹ AutoFill web forms: Using info from my Contacts card
    If the box was already checked, uncheck it and then check it again.
    7. Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
    Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
    If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
    Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
    From the menu bar, select
    Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
    If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
    Select
    Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
    from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.
    8. Run Software Update and install any available updates.

  • Jinitiator "Applet Started"

    We have recently upgraded a 3rd party system we use (and have had no problems with previously) which runs on Forms and Jinitiator as shown below:
    Previous Setup: Jinitiator 1.1.8.16 / Oracle Forms 6i / Oracle 9i
    Upgraded Setup: Jinitiator 1.3.1.28 / Oracle Forms 10 / Oracle 10g
    This new upgraded set up works successfully on around 50% of our machines, although the rest of our users receive only a white screen with an "Applet Started" message on the Internet Explorer status bar. The machines that fail to work all appear to be Windows 2000 machines with IE6, although other machines on Windows 2000 with IE6 work fine, so I don't think there is a compatability issue with any software.
    The Jinitiator console log stops at the following message:
    "RegisterWebUtil - Loading WebUtil Version 10.1.2.2"
    I had thought that permissions could be a problem as some machines have limited access rights, but even when logging in as the machine's administrator account I still get the same white screen and status bar message.
    Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing these problems?
    thanks, Jonathan

    Console log with trace level set to 5 is attached below, don't know if it'll be of any use!

  • Applet working on JBuilder but not on appletviewer!!!!!

    I ve made a keybord.Here some buttons are missing. The user presses the buttons and shapes a word!When the jButton22 is pressed(Comparison button) the applet tells him if the result is true or false and displays an image(imageIcon foruser in jlabel forusers) with the correct result!!The jlabel for users is setVisible(false) and setVisible(true) when the comparison button is pressed and the result is wrong.My problem is that the jlabel works fine in JBuilder but when i run the applet in appletviewer the jlabel forusers isnt showing!!If i minimize and maximize the window then the label appears and from that point is working properly!Any suggestions would be appreciated!Thank you!!

    I performed some testing on your program, and get an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException on one of the buttons. So, I guess there have to be some implementation logic error.
    Since I have no idea what your program is trying to achieve, here's what you can do:
    1. Try to shorten your program.
    2. Add your code piece by piece.
    3. Perform some logic testing.
    4. Repeat steps 2 & 3.

  • Applet, Netscape and Opera but not IE, encore

    I've got the following trivial applet that runs under Netscape and Opera, but not under IE. It's also at www.MartinRinehart.com as the ColorChooser choice. There's a half dozen Dukes from previous posts, and my sincere gratitude for anyone who can tell me what I need to do so IE doesn't say "Load: class CCApplet not found."
    import java.awt.BorderLayout;
    import java.awt.Button;
    import java.awt.Label;
    public class CCApplet extends java.applet.Applet {
         public void start() {
              Label l = new Label( "CCApplet!" );
              setLayout( new BorderLayout() );
              add( l, BorderLayout.NORTH );
              add( new Button("South"), BorderLayout.SOUTH );
    } // end of class CCAppletThe .class is in the same directory as the .html. Putting it in a .jar doesn't seem to matter. My IE runs other applets from the web, but not the ones I write. Thanks in advance.

    The applet runs for me in IE with 1.5.0_02, XP Pro (current updates), with class and html files in same directory.
    Check that everything in IE's Java Plug-in is valid and correct. Check IE's Internet Options.
    What JVM version are you wanting the applet to be able to run with? What does this statement mean? "...most visitors can use without knowing what a JRE is."
    To get greatest compatibility, use code that conforms to the 1.1 API, compile to that target version, possibly use the old 1.1 libraries, and then test each jvm. (BTW - Swing has limited compatibility - it isn't MS compatible, and wasn't [Sun] standard until jvm version 1.2.)

    Has it got to do with the /etc/hosts?? I also have java.rmi.hostname set in the server class
    Thanks in advance for any help

    Check to see if you can access your server from other machines over the internet using telnet. That is in command prompt go to the drive that has the OS. Say it is C:
    Then write:
    C:\>telnet <your servers external ip address> <port number that you are trying to access>
    If everything is fine you will get a blank window with the cursor blinking on the top left hand corner of the window.
    Generally this connection timed out exception occurs when the client can't find the server.

  • Change "Applet Started" in status line?

    Hello,
    I am trying to override the browser's standard "Applet Started" "Applet Loaded" messages...
    One of the reasons is that IE does not display Applet name at all, while Firefox shows the class path of the Applet name...
    I want it to be uniform...
    After lots of research I found this
    http://www.jguru.com/faq/view.jsp?EID=487929
    where they explain that
    getAppletContext().showStatus("");
    would help me do this...But it is not working for me.
    I am inserting it in the applet class right after init but nothing happens.
    Could someone help me out where I have to inssert this code?
    Cheers,

    I've been rebuilding Entourage Identities for years for clients. Most fail because they do not have enough free space. See this article

  • Applet start() running twice, in Microsoft IE 5.5.

    It seems to me that that the Applet start() method is running twice, on Microsoft IE 5.5, Microsoft Java (with no service packs). Does someone reconice this problem ?
    (I know that people should not use Microsoft Java, but I cannot control the behavior of the users).
    Best Regards.

    Well, you can live with it if stop is not being called
    between both start calls. You could simply set a flag
    on the start and if it's set return from start.. and
    reset the flag in stop.
    static boolean started = false;
    public void start() {
    if(started) return;
    started = true;
    super.start();
    ... rest of start
    public void stop() {-------------------------------------
    ** Don't do this. It is unsafe and will crash.
    See http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/post1.0/preview/threads.html
    super.stop(); --------------------------------------
    started = false;
    Otherwise the Javascript idea would work. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Hello,
    the old NS 1.1.5 JVM did this as well. The cause is a race and even worse,
    stop/start/run can be called in multiple and erronious succession.
    Use the Runnable interface and synchronize to force startup serialization.
    public class MyClass implements Runnable
    boolean initialized = false; // Same concept.
    Object waitObject = new Object();
    Thread task = null;
    public synchronized void init()
    if(!initialized)
    // Do your initialization
    initialized = true;
    notifyall();
    public synchronized void start()
    task = new Thread(this);
    task.start();
    notifyAll();
    public synchronized void stop()
    task = null;
    notifyAll();
    public void run()
    Thread controlThread = Thread.currentThread();
    // Force synch with start / stop
    synchronized(this)
    notifyAll();
    while(controlThread == task)
    // Do your stuff. I fyou have nothing to do, then
    // lazily do a wait() NOT a sleep.
    synchronized(waitObject)
    try
    waitObject.wait(1000); // 200 or 5 X a second
    } // is an unnoticable and responsive
    catch(InterruptedException ie) // poll time If you find a second too slow.
    What this does.
    It not only forces serialization of start, stop, and run, but it also uses the Sun Engineer's
    recommendations pertaining to the deprecation of stop.
    I have mentioned this before but some people didn't belive me.
    Then again some people just like to argue :)
    Because of the deprecation of stop, some JVMs versions handled it differently, and
    you should overwrite overwrite it as prescribed in the aformentioned link.

    Hi, I don't know who to turn to: the person who handles all the compter stuff is out of town, This A.M.I started up Firefox and there was a message re an update, I thoght I new just to click on install and wait to re start Firefox. But what I can remember is that another window opened and asked me to choose 'something' (an icon or banner or?), I thought I must click something (I guess I should read all clearly). Firefox did update to 3.6.4, but it also inserted some sort of what might be called a banner? But it only partly covers the right one- half of my 3 toolbars at the top of the Firefox window. It can't be used for anything as it is just a mess of colors and unknowns, except what looks like a 'top' and what I recognize as a Firefox icon (but only partly visible)!! Now, what it does do is partly hide that whole portion of the toolbars and they are hard to read and in turn make this 'thing' impossible to figure out, if I would care to? I can't find anyway to remove it or use it?? But since the Firefox icon is on it, I guess you should know what it is and how to trash it. I am sorry for this occurrence caused my my carelessness, but I'm not much of a computer person ----HELP! Thank you for any help. Judi

    The only thing I can imagine: it's a [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/personas/ Persona].
    Tools->Add-ons->Themes
    Here should be the persona (lightweight theme)
    and a button "Remove"
    Click it (button Remove), and it (Persona, this mix of colors) should go away instantly.
    Does it help you?

    Hi brett242424,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
    The movie would be in your iTunes library, in the Movies application.  However, if the rental period has expired, you may need to contact the iTunes Store Support about your situation:

    I was having some problems with my mac, safari and itunes was freezing alot. I have to force shutdown and when I tried to start up again i get to the login page, type in my password and it starts to load, but then the screen turns blue for a few seconds and it goes back to the log in screen. What should I do?
    Please Help!!

    Somewhat similar problem:
    Put in the password, hit enter, the screen goes blue for half a second, then goes back to login screen and carries on logging in as usual.  Drives me mad.  It doesn't happen with a fresh Lion installation, nor if booted into safe mode.  On the machine in question it also happens to new user accounts.
    I've removed all login items, including Startup Items and Launch Demons (pun intended) and Agents, I've compared system login plists with a fresh Lion installation - can't see differences.  I've removed Little Snitch and PeerGuardian (no more third party kexts).
    @Carolyn: I've done disk maintenance with DiskUtility and fsck and even DiskWarrior, cleaned caches, etc. etc.
    Any ideas would be gratefully received.
    Sorry for trying to hijack the thread (as it's not about Lion), but it seemed dead anyway.

    Iv tryed this numerious times still keeps going back to pasword. Can not get any further. Tried restart holding shift key.. still nothing. What do i do?

    Thank you for your help.
    I couldnt get to the hard drive/ desktop. Soft login not even working. So i could not do any of that.
    In the end i took it to Apple and its actually the hard drive on its way out. A common issue with that series of Mac. Funny seeing i dont use this mac much. However being 2.5 years old and out of warrently, Apple have recognise this issue with this series/ Model and installing a new hard drive at no cost.
    Very luck and greatful. And not feeling so dumb that it was something i did or could troubleshoot myself.
    Hope this helps others that it just might be your hard drive failing.
