Appletrailers was workingfor a few minutes but now I get the question mark!
I downloaded the latest versions of Quicktime and Flash player. I made sure Quicktime was NOT set to play flash. I managed to get one trailer to play but when I tried another, I got the question mark. When I tried to bring up the working one again I got the question mark there too! What's going on?
The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.

Where is now Cooliris icon in Firefox 3.6.18? Last appeared in the top right but now I get the home icon. Please let me clarify it. Regards.
Thanks a lot for your swift response. And sorry if it was a bit too hectic to go through my detailed query (which I did because it was misunderstood when I asked previously). As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.
Thanks for your help; hope this wasn't extremely long. -
I purchased photoshop cc a few weeks ago, now I get the message that my trial is over. I'm stuck is there a solution?
Refer Creative Cloud applications unexpectedly revert to trial mode | CS6, CCM
If you use Photoshop at all, you may need to install the latest update to resolve this issue. See this blog post for more information:
http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2013/01/photoshop-13-0-413-1-2-updat es-now-available.html
If you do not have Photoshop, then try the solution that others have mentioned previously:
Open the Adobe Application Manager (AAM).
If applicable, let AAM complete any automatic updates and restart itself.
Sign in with your Adobe ID. (Optionally, you can close AAM at this point.)
Open a CS6 application (e.g. InDesign CC).
If prompted (e.g. you get the trial screen), click "License This Software" and sign in with your Adobe ID.
OR
Follow the below steps:
1. Close all the Adobe Applications. Logout from creative.adobe.com and re-login.
2. Once you launch the software and when you get the error saying the the trial version has expired, you will have an option saying "License this software".
3. Select this option and enter your credentials and click next.
4. You must be able to activate the software then.
Refer to: Purchased student CC but CC still says it's a free trial. How do I upgrade my account to purchased and not trial?
I'm a Creative Cloud member, why is my app launching as a trial? Mac OS 10.7.4

I only have one apple ID and facetime has worked with it before, but now I get the message "Unable to verify email because it is already in use". I have looked ofr a solution but can't find one. can anyone help please?
I spoke with Apple Support this morning and they believe anything MobileMe related is due to the conversion over to iCloud that's taking place.
As for other email clients, check with your host to see if settings have changed on their end. I use inmotionhosting.com and over the weekend the updated their outgoing requirements so that a password authentication is now needed.
Hope that helps get some on the right path to resolving their issues! -
I changed a few settings on my iPad and now cant get the iPad to shut off with the shutoff button and the button to get to all the icons won't let me get back to settings to change the settings back. Can anyone help?
Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost. -
Won't open, uninstalled, but now cant get the installer to reinstall. help!
PS refused to open and advised an uninstall. DONE.
now cant get the installer to recognise that it has been uninstalled and reinstallAre you talking about Photoshop CC? If you are wanting to get CC to know you’ve uninstalled Photoshop, then Quit the CC Desktop app, then restart it—this causes it to rescan what is installed, and at that point it should show an Install button next to Photoshop.
And if that doesn't work there are more things to try:

I have several keynote presentations on my newish computer but am not unable to open them. I get the message "keynote cannot be installed because of a problem" (unspecified). Does anybody know why this happend? Does it related to using Microsoft "University" 2011? How can I fix it? Thanks!
Thank you for your reply.
I just tried the 3-step process suggested on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2431353
This all started when my mouse/thumb clicker was going crazy. Found an expanded battery. Obviously need a new battery. Unfortunately must wait 6 weeks to get my new battery. Meanwhile, I'm running my computer on AC only, as there appears to be no other option. I was informed that when using AC only (no battery) some high-energy-use programs like Office might not function.
Do you know if there is away to use office even when just using AC and not having the battery in? I'm doubting if I have other OSX problems because everything else works: email, safari, itunes, iphoto, quicktime, etc . . . . ?

but if i connect the same hard drive via usb it works fine is the hard drive faulty?
It sort of sounds like a startup disk issue. Have you tried starting up holding down the "Option" key? This should generally give you the option of which drive you want to boot from after a few seconds. Sometimes, especially if you had previously booted from an external drive (and it sounds as if you have) they system wants to continue booting from that drive. If it can't find it, it just sort of hangs there. Try holding down the "Option" key and see if your internal drive is shown as an option. If it is, select it. If you manage to get into the OS, go to System Preferences / Startup Disk and select the correct drive (even if there is only one drive shown, you should still select it).

Most of the question is in the discussion header. I have a Tango TRX bluetooth speaker that worked fine for three weeks with my third generation iPad. I started having trouble connecting and recieved the "not supported by iPad" message. It connects just fine until I open any app that requires sound and at thet point I recieve the message and the device disconnects. The Tango still pairs flawlessly with my laptop which is not an Apple product. How could a product suddenly become unsupported?

My external Lacie Quadra hard drive accidentally switched off in the middle of "erase free space", and when I switched it back on Disk Utility was hanging. So I Force Quit Disk Utility and restarted it. Now when I try to erase I get
"Secure Disk Erase failed with the error: Couldn’t unmount disk."
But "erase free space" seems to work...
What can I do? I'm erasing as I'm giving the drive to someone else and I wanted to wipe it clean.
Also should I use "erase" or "erase free space" if I want to wipe the drive clean?
Please help!Sorry I don't really understand.... there are no partitions on the drive. How do I repartition it?
And should I use "erasing free space" or "erase" for wiping clean my drive of everything? Erase seems to be faster last tiem I tried.
Thanks! -

[Start Conference With UserID: u0]Hi,
I can explain this in English.
A Screen Share is made up of two parts in iChat.
It is an Audio Chat with the Screen Share part along side.
The Screen Share is a VNC connection
The Router has to be using UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) as the port the Screen Sharing part is on is a Random port.
Also check your ISP does not block VNC connections
The 10 Sec error message means something outside of iChat cause the connection to be broken.

When I try to export an iMovie (9) to quicktime, the iMovie runs for a few minutes and I then get the message: The movie could not be exported because an error occurred. (-2125) What can I do to correct this?
Trash your preferences. Trash your project render files. Switch off background rendering. Export without using the computer for anything else.
Oh, and if you're using 10.9 switch off App Nap. -

mail is suddenly not recognizing my password. it has done this now and then for a few minutes, but this time it's been days. anything I can do?
try resetting your phone by turning it off and back on again. The servers may still be having a hard time keeping up, so you may just need to wait a little while and try again.
