Appletv does not show netflix as an option

I had an older AppleTV (one with the hard disk) which was working fine, but I just bought the new version because it makes Netflix available. However, I do not see Netflix as one of the Internet options. I noticed others having the same problem. Repowering did not have any effect. Any suggestions?

As it turns out, I am not, although I wonder if the availability of the Netflix option is (or should be) a function of the location. I am saying this, because the first time I set up my box I did see a Netflix option which asked me to sign in, which I did not. Then, if I remember correctly, the software update took over and downloaded the most recent version. When the box rebooted the Netflix interface was gone. I am wondering whether the new OS makes the Netflix interface vanish if Netflix is not offered at that location.

My iPad 2 does not show the Software Update option. When I try to update with iTunes the iPad times out.

Disable or turn off your anti-virus and firewall software on your computer and try the download again.

Send to Excel or Word does not show up as an option in 6.2.2

I have Office Home and Student 2007 installed and I have also installed 6.2.2 Desktop. However, The Send to option does not show up where Help says it should be, so I can't export to Excel.
What am I doing wrong?

It may be best to clean your registry after uninstalling everything.
This is a relatively extreme step, but after this you should be able to
install (first LabVIEW, then any DAQ, then any add-ons and toolkits)
and see everything in the right place.
After uninstalling:
Remove the following registry components from the Windows Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National Instruments Delete the entire tree!
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\National Instruments Delete the entire tree!
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI\ , \ISA, or \PCMCIA and delete registry entries containing any keys with 1093 in them.
Do not worry if any of these trees are not listed.

HT4259 Airport Utility 6.1 does note show "extend wireless network" option. How do I find the feature

I have an airport extreme and the utility is 6.1. I also have an airport express. I'd like to use the airport express to extend the WiFi. The "extend the wireless network" option does not show up in the Airport Utility 6.1. How do I go about finding that option? Is it something that doesn't need to be checked in Airport Utility 6.1?

I'm having the same issuse, the only work around I have found is by using an older version of airport utility

AppleTV does not show up in Devices in iTunes on streaming MacBook Pro

My setup:
- AppleTV connected wirelessly to the wireless router (Apple Extreme N Base Station).
- Windows PC wired to the router and set up as machine that is sync'd to the ATV.
- MacBook Pro connected wirelessly to the router and set up as a streaming machine.
- All machines run iTunes 7.3.
The AppleTV appears as a device on the Windows PC. No problem there.
However, the ATV does not appear in the Devices list on the MacBook Pro 99% of the time and so I am not able to select it and change the photo albums I want to link. It occasionally appears. But I have not found a pattern to why it appears and disappears. Even when it does not appear in the Devices list, streaming from the MacBook Pro works just fine. So even as I am streaming, say, a podcast from my MacBook Pro, the ATV never appears as a listed Device.
I can make the ATV temporarily appear by unlinking the MBP from the ATV and relinking it. During the link process, the ATV appears in the Device list. But it disappears as soon as the code is entered in the MBP.

Yes, it would be annoying if EVERY device that my Mac had ever connected to did show up all the time even after they were disconnected.
However, there are some classes of devices that you do want your Mac to remember and show as available if they are detected active on a network. An example would a Bluetooth device that you have deliberately paired and designated in the Favourites list. If it was subsequently decided that this device should no longer appear, then removing it from the Favourites list does that.
In my opinion, the AppleTV should fall in the same category. Since pairing is required and subsequent dissociation is possible by removing it from the iTunes list of allowed AppleTV units, then it should appear on iTunes' list of Devices as long as it is detected on the network. If the ATV is unpowered or if the PC moves onto a different network, that that ATV should not appear in the Devices list. There is an advantage for the logic to be implemented this way for the reason I have mentioned in an earlier post (i.e. being able to change the list of photo albums designated as available for streaming without having to go to the ATV, select the source PC, then going back to the PC to change the list).
But again, just my opinion. It's always good to discuss these things so that others can see different opinions on an issue.

Several things here so let me attempt to clarify.
For iCloud the reason the contacts where removed from he other device is because you updated your contacts, in this case deleted them, and then iCloud updated the other device to match. By deleting the iCloud account on the device it will stop the device from using that iCloud account and therefore nothing will change on the other device. By using a seperate Apple ID you can still use the features of iCloud, Find My iPhone comes to mind, without your content (contacts, message etc.) merging with the other device
For iTunes, you cannot use two Apple IDs for one account however if you use the same account iTunes on your computer will keep the content on each device seperate very nicely. You can also configure the settings for iTunes and the App store on each device to keep the content from automatically downloading to the other device. What I meant by share apps and music is this. What happens if you find a game, lets say Minecraft, that you really like and it cost, as Mincraft cost, $6.99USD. You buy it and play for a while and then you realize that your husband really likes the game as well. If you both use the same Apple ID for iTunes he can download the $7.00ish game to his device at no additional charge. If you use seperate Apple IDs for iTunes well... it look like he will also be paying for the game to have it on his account. Same goes for Music and Movies

Outlook 2013 weather bar does not show in the File- Options- Canlendar panel

I installed a chinese office 2013, the machine can connected to internet properly. after I created a profile and logon to outlook, I found the weather bar section was not displayed in the File->Option->Canlendar panel although I configured to install
all the components and features of office 2013. Please see below snapshot:

All these can not solve my problem, weather bar disappeared in the Calendar panel any way.

MS VSS does not show in LV SCC Options

I'm trying to make LV 6.1 pro work with MS Visual Source Safe 6.0 that is installed and works fine by itself. In LabVIEW however the only provider showing in the TOOLS->SOURCE CODE CONTROL->OPTIONS is BUILT-IN.

Installing Visual SourceSafe after installing LabVIEW should not cause this problem. The cause of the problem is most likely missing or corrupted registry entries for Visual SourceSafe. There should be a key for Visual SourceSafe located in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SourceCodeControlProvider\InstalledSCCProviders path of the registry. The data in this key should point to another location in the registry that gives information about where Visual SourceSafe is installed along with the location of the ssscc.dll. You will want to make sure that this information is found in the specified key location. If this information isn't found, you can try and copy the registry information over from another computer with Visual SourceSafe. If this doesn't work, you
will most likely need to reinstall Visual SourceSafe so it can fix the registry.

HT2905 Display exact duplicates does not show in my FILE options

Make sure you have upgraded to iTunes 11.0.1.12.
The features are now View > Show Duplicate Items and Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items.

Itunes store does not show Music as an option on the top bar

When I look at my itunes store I cannot see Music as an ption across the top bar. I can select from App Store, Books, Podcasts and ItunesU but not Music... Help!

Itunes 10.2.1 does not show remote speakers option

I have been having a strange issue on one of my laptops. I have two laptops - one with Windows 7 64bit and Windows XP 32 bit. On both laptops, I was able to connect to the airport express to stream music to my home theater (receiver) till a few months back. Both have the latest version of Itunes - 10.2.1. Now, the Windows 7 laptop continues to work fine but the Windows XP laptop is having problems. *Itunes does not show the remote speaker option. The airport utility does not recognize the airport express.* In the Windows Firewall exceptions, there are entries for Bonjour (port 5353 UDP), Bonjour Service (mDNSresponder.exe) and Itunes.exe and all are checked. Even if I disable firewall, it does not resolve anything.
The airport express is connected through an ethernet cable to the Belkin Wireless N router. The wireless mode for the airport express is switched off. The firmware on the airport express is version 6.3.
Few differences between the two laptops
Windows XP: I use a Belking Wireless N Notebook card to connect to the Belkin Wireless N Router. Antivirus is "McAfee VirusScan Enterprise + Antispyware Enterprise 8.7.0i"
Windows 7: I use the inbuilt wireless to connect to the same router. Antivirus is "ESET Smart Security 4.0"
Can someone help? I have researched the forum and tried the following things but still does not help.
1. Tried uninstalling Itunes and Airport Utility and reinstalling
2. Tried disabling Windows Firewall

I solved my problem I tried several other programs to play my music and since nothing seemed to work, i started deleting other software from my computer and apparently Uniblue's RegistryBooster was the one that caused the problem. Now able to enjoy music from my computer again

Apple TV (1st gen) does not show up in iTunes 11

I have a 1st generation Apple TV. It seemed to be working fine, except that my shared music did not appear under My Music. I thought maybe there was a connectivity issue with iTunes, so I decided to disconnect from iTunes and then re-link to iTunes. The problem is, the AppleTV does not show up under devices in iTunes. If I go to Preferences-AppleTV, it does show up with a status of "syncing", however, the Apple TV does not show it is connected to iTunes. I tried removing it in Preferences-AppleTV on the iMac, but it reappears after a few minutes, again with a status of "syncing". I have verified both the iMac and Apple TV are connected to the correct network, both have the correct AppleID and password. iMac is running Snow Leopard, iTunes 11.02 (absolutely HATE version 11), Apple TV 3.02.
Two questions:
1. How do I get iTunes to see my Apple TV so I can enter the 5 digit code and connect?
2. Once that is done, how do I get it to show my shared music library (Movies and TV shows were there previously, just not Music)?

I have the same problem. It was working fine up until the last update for iTunes 11.0.2
Here's the details:
I have an Apple TV - first Gen and up until a couple of weeks ago, was regularly playing sync'd iTunes music and videos through it on a daily basis.
I see other devicess showing up in the "Devices" list in the left panel of iTunes (such as iPad, iPhone, etc.)
AppleTV used to be there consistently, then disappeared upon update to 11.0.2
Apple TV also does not show up in the devices tab under the Preferences window.
I have tried multiple suggestions on the support forum but none have worked.
Apple TV is able to access the network, is on the same network as the iMac with iTunes library connected. Both are connected to network via ethernet cable (not wifi). Both are able to access the internet (apple tv plays movie prieviews and gets updates). Using the Terminal app, I am able to ping the apple TV's IP number from the iMac and get a successful return.
Both have latest software downloads.
I have tried cold-booting the apple TV, resetting the router, and verified in the router device list that both imac and appleTV are listed as active, un-blocked connections.
I don't intend to buy an Apple TV 2nd gen or later (since I bought this one and it's not working now due to software update, what guarantee that a later model won't generate the same problem later.
One last wrinkle, I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old who are jonesing hard for their "dance party" fix.
Have you ever wronged a two year old?
It is NOT pretty.
