Appletviewer Can get it to work!

I have downloaded J2SE 1.4.2 Net Beans 3.5.1. I have been trying to learn about applets and I would like to view some of my coded programs. I have been trying to run appletviewer but I do not know from where to run it. Or even better yet, how to run it. I have tried from the DOS prompt but that has not worked(just a stab in the dark). I am guessing that you run it from the IDE Net Beans enviroment, but I have traversed all the options in tool bar and I can not find it. If some

If you developed you applet in NetBeans, isn't there a button with a little green right arrow that says "execute" when you hover your mouse over it?
I tried it on an applet, and it executed it in appletview.

Try downloading and using VLC. It is a very popular media player that plays just about every file format out there. That way you would not need to convert it.

Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds. Ignore the swipe to turn off message.

It's possible, I suppose. Unlikely, but possible. Someone would have to be extremely driven to fix your broken phone specifically to look at your notes though.

Nivo slider on iWeb - can get it to work, but not on one Mac.

I am a complete luddite when it comes to computers, but I have managed to set up a couple of pretty decent websites using iweb.
I am looking for a bit of advice as to where I am going wrong setting up the Nivo slider on one of our computers though.
Having followed the instructions carefully, I have successfully set up the slider on one of the sites on my Mac, and my husband has set up a slider on a macbook pro without any problems. Neither of us can get it set up and added to two websites on our other main Mac though. (We have tried numerous times, and have checked, double checked and tripple checked the code and addresses, and have used cyber duck to check the info is all correct on the server)
Nothing happens though. The page in question is just a blank screen with nothing other than the headings etc there.
We wondered if Javascript had been disabled on the Mac, and I think I've worked out how to check that in Safari - and the checkbox says it's enabled.
I'm at a bit of a loss now what to do next to solve the problem.
Does anybody have any ideas what I might try? I would be enormously grateful for any advice - I've been going slowly blind trying to read and understand code in order to get some idea of what might be going wrong (not an easy task for a luddite!)

Photos have been uploaded, and links done also. I originally followed the instructions from the site www.allaboutiweb.com on how to upload the nivo slider (google search nivo slider and iweb and it's pretty much first on the list!) really easy instructions to follow - so initially used website six photos, then amended to my own. Done successfully on one computer, but although I've followed the exact same process (with meticulous attention) it just won't work on our other website (on another computer).
I've since had a thought it might have to do with not having downloaded jquery 1.7+ ?!.
Really floundering a little here, because I really don't know my way around computers.
Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Perfect use of Automator if I can get it to work with QT or FCP

I've spent all day trying to wrap my head around Automator and I jumped right into it with the following task:
to take 150 video clips (uncompressed 8 bit QT files) and add an opening graphic, a closing graphic and to save as a new version. Doesn't that sound like the type of thing you'd take to Automator? Well, I found out that FCP is not supported by Automator, so there goes any solutions with that program.
For Quicktime, however, I did manage to get it to open the opening graphic, copy it to the clipboard, open the movie file, and paste it at the beginning. This was with the help of some handy scripts and workflows that other people have made and posted (THANKS if you're reading this).
There are two aspects to this method that I can't figure out to complete it.
1. How do I tell it to go to the END of the video clip before pasting the ending graphic on?
2. How to I get it to 'save as' or export from there (so as to preserve the orig. file)?

Firefox 4 recently downloaded will not create a dial up window. The only way I can get it to work is by establishing a connection via oulook. Firfox then works fine. How do I get Firefox 4 to reqest a dial up window

Since we downloaded Firefox 4 we have only been able to connect to the internet by using the dial up of outlook. Once connected in this way Firefox 4 works fine.
We have zone alarm firewall and NOD32 antivirus.

I have now managed to get AX working on my BT home hub. I took my second non-working unit back to Apple in Solihull and got them to test it in store. They agreed it wasn't working. They then tested another unit in store and that did work so I brought that home. It would be worth you doing the same as I got a 10% discount off my next purchase of anything at Apple for my troubles.
I set my homehub security to None (from WEP - in homehub manager/advanced/wireless/security), plugged in my AX to homehub using an ethernet cable, then ran Airport utility and after a couple of runs it finally picked it up. I was able to set the configurations I wanted and 24 hours later it is still working. I set my homehub security settings back to WEP as soon as the AX was configured.
I also installed airport utility on my son's windows laptop and that is now able to print wirelessly as well. So, finally a result.
I would suggest you take your unit back to where you bought it from and get them to test it. If they offer you another one ask for a Mac genius
to test it in store for you first. Also ask them to run through the installation procedure with you. Don't forget to ask for something for your troubles:)

How can get "rapport web" working w firefox 4?

Hi! I used to have "Rapport website" - website provided by banks to protect when the site is visited - with the other version of Firefox.
Since I've up graded Firefox when I visit The Bank Website it is not there anymore.
It still on my PC because when I use Internet Explorer is there.

Regarding swapping pointers, yes it is common sense and rather common among programmers to swap pointers instead of swapping large data types, at the small price of indirect access to the actual data through the pointers.
However, there is a rather unobvious and quite terrible side effect of using this trick. After the pointer array is sorted, sequential (sorted) access to the actual data throughout the remaining of the program will suffer heavily because of cache misses.
Memory is being accessed randomly because the pointers still point to the unsorted data causing many many cache misses, which will render the program itself slow, although the sort was fast!!.
Multi-threaded qsort is a good idea in principle and easy to implement obviously because qsort itself is recursive. The thing is Multi-threaded qsort is actually just stealing CPU time from other cores that might be busy running other apps, this might slow
down other apps, which might not be ideal for servers. The thing researchers usually try to do is to do the improvement in the algorithm it self.
