Appleworks Database cut off data on right side of field?

Help!! I am working with Appleworks 6.2.9 on a G4 PowerBook running OS 10.3.4. I have created a database that prints a 5-6 sentence summary of each of my lessons. When I print this layout, it cuts off the right hand side of the field. The last 2 letter on each line are missing. The layout looks fine on the computer. It is not the end of the page. It prints other things to the right of the field. It just cuts off the text in a particular field.

Hello
Have you tried to replace the font as written in my late post ?
You may also try to check the checkbox:
AppleWorks > Preferences > General > Text > Fractional Characters Widths
This may have an impact on the way characters are displayed.
Remember, since the delivery of Tiger, some details are odd in the way AppleWorks items are displaye because internal treatment is always based on Quickdraw rendering but it is really done with Quartz. It seems that this may give odd results for strings's lengths.
Differences are quite invisible with many fonts but are visible with some ones.

Sounds like the webpage you are on isn't optimized for devices with touch screens. I would suggest attempting to use a different web browser such as atomic browser or any of the other ones in the App Store. Otherwise you may have to resort to using a Mac/PC to do your homework.

  • When printing multiple pages from an internet email or webpage, only the first page is properly fitted on the page. All subsequent pages are cut off on the right side. What's the fix?

I have set the print settings to "Ignore scaling and Fit to Page" and it seems to work only for the first page of a multi-page webpage or email chain. Nothing I've done seems to fix it. I've set the print settings to 90% scale in page set-up in order to print FedEx online waybills properly, but I can't seem to solve the other problems.

Doc: I've had a similar experience, and here are the details, investigation, and a workaround. My printer is a Brother MFC-645CN, and I'm using Snow Leopard (10.6.8) on a 2010 iMac quad i5 connected to the printer over my ethernet LAN. Are you using a Brother printer?
Firefox has shown this kind of nasty issue for the past six months or so. It seems to be related to the imaging algorithms in Preview when dealing with Firefox (now at v.12) and the Brother printer -- the screwy second page (and beyond) show up skewed and up-sized when doing a print preview also. No such problem seen in Safari or anything else. I am not currently using any other Mozilla apps on this Mac besides Firefox.
A few months ago I tested printing from my administrator account and  a different user account. Firefox printing was completely normal and as expected. When I went back to my main user account, back came the funky second page.I went through extensive troubleshooting to try to chase it down, systematically removing and replacing apps and preferences and many other Library files related to printing, Brother drivers, Firefox, and Preview. Nothing helped. Solution was to migrate my user files to an account where the printing problem wasn't happening. I deleted the problem user account.
Everything was fine for about three weeks, and then with no warning, printing was back to the bad second page, just as before. I am stumped, and I'll let smarter people try to figure it out. I use Firefox a lot, and it's possible that some add-on setting is interfering, or a web page I visited turned the printing funky again. I just don't know.
Also checked on a Mac G4 running Leopard (10.5.8) and Firefox 3.6.28. No printing/preview problems there.
Now, for the work-around I am currently using -- print each page separately, one at a time. Page 1, then page 2, etc. Preview and printing looks completely normal. Hope this works for you until the bug is located and squashed for good.

  • How to cut off data use on a line in a family share plan?

Is there a way to cut off data useage on one line in a family share plan? I have one person that is going over and want to simply cut off the data use after she reaches say 110% of her use in the billing cycle.

I agree get Family Base and charge then the extra $5 it will cost since that person doesn't seem to understand the concept of SHARING. Or up the data plan and charge the extra to them and tell them since you had to increase the data plan because them they can pay the extra mount.

  • My Oracle Support documents print with text cut off on the right margin

Just a question to check if more people have this issue. When I try to print a document from the knowledge base on My Oracle Support (MOS) it always prints with a lot of text being cut off on the right margin of the page. I tried this with different workstations, OS'es (XP Pro, W7), browsers (IE6, IE8), printers, etc. but it's always the same result. My only workaround is to copy all text and paste it into a text editor. I've logged a service request for this, but Oracle doesn't really seem to care about it and after pointing me to setting margins in Microsoft Publisher (???) and an article on how to export tables on MOS, they pointed to the HTML version of MOS (which has exactly the same issue by the way) and our local IS department for printing preferences. Apparently they cannot replicate this on their workstations, whereas I can replicate at will on a load of different workstations. I know that it's best not to print on paper and read on the screen, but even printing to a PDF writer will cut off text. Does anyone have the same issue with printing documents from MOS?

  • Separate month end cut-off date

    Hi,
I have 2 companies in a same clients.
These 2 companies would like to have separate month end cut-off date.
Please advice how to do it in OB29.

    Hi,
    You can do so.
You need to define two different posting period variant, where in the first one, for each month define the end date.
SAy if you define month 01 date 28 as period 01 and month 02 date 26 as period 02
Then period 02 will be from 29 jan to 26 feb.
Then assign these posting period variants to your company code in OBY6.
In that way you can differ the period end for two company codes.
    Regard,
    Gaurav

  • Picture is off to the right side

I have my Apple TV working pretty well, but all of the content is far off to the right side of my Sony HD television. The Sony settings let me fix it a little bit, but there is still content missing to the right side of the picture and lots of blank space off to the left of the picture. Is there a setting in the Apple TV where I can adjust the horizontal position of the picture?
    Thanks
Mac mimi   Mac OS X (10.3.7)

In the settings menu of Apple TV , at the top is 720P HD and 1080i HD. Using those settings on my Pioneer 50 in Plasma TV made the picture not center.
Lower down in the settings list is 720P 50Hz and 1080i 50Hz. Choosing those settings fixed the problem, and the movie I was watching is now centered.

  • Process chain - cut-off-date

    Hi guys,
in the process chain I have to check if today is cut-off-date. If it is the case process should continue if not it should be canceled. How can I do it. At first I wanted to use decision, but I think I should use ABAP in this case.
    Thank you in advance
    Regards
    Erwin

    Hi,
Just write small ABAP Code and check the Date and then based on that Raise Event, you schedukle this program everyday, so it will check the Date and then it will trigger Event, if condition is not satisfied then EXIT.
And give this event in Process Chain.
Check similar kind of thread, but you need to change the logic.
Re: Stopping one process chain when another is running

  • Why do my margins get cut off when I right click print, but not when I open my document and print?

When I right click print (without opening the document) my margins get cut off, but if I actally open my pdf document and click print, it will print just fine.  This only happens when the document has print that is close to the edge.
I am using Adobe 10.1.2 with Windows 7.
Thank you in advance for your thoughts and help

As for your comment on this being my first Mac, and the program issue, you misunderstood. Yes the eMac is in fact my first, personally owned, Mac computer other than the original Apple II series floppy fed PC, in which me and my father owned. The only other Apple/Macintosh computer I had experience on was my father's 13" MacBook Pro, and 20" iMac (both ran OSX Tiger 10.4.11, just as the one I have know runs). The iMac was upgraded to Snow Leopard due to our need for better picture/video/audio editing software such as that of Adobe, and the Macbook Pro was sold because of a business that was started being siphoned out of money. I purchased the eMac from a small business based off of eBay. It had the majority of OSX Tiger software, only missing minor programs like Photobooth. Other than that, it had no wireless software like BlueTooth, Wi-Fi capabilities, wireless sync, ect... But alas, when you buy a Apple/Mac computer, you must take a few cutbacks when purchasing it (even refurb.) for around $120.00 including taxing, shipping, handling, ect... I purchased nearly all of my software from co-workers and friends who had an extra key, or I would receive the software disc from them, and buy a key. The only "illegal" thing I had on the computer was music I had downloaded from LimeWire. I have never, and will never, trust any software coming from a torrent download site.

    Gotcha, Bingo, Bazinga!
Moving the antivirus to trash does not delete or disable some parts of the application.
How to remove the remaining parts of the application depends on the application as the different AV-Systems place there parts at different places and use different preference files.
At first check if the AV is still listed in the startup items (System Settings - Accounts - your account - startup items) and remove them from that list.

  • Mac windows cut off files at right hand edge

In most apps, I choose to open a window to look for a file.
After about two or three steps down in the hierarchy (I'm at 1440x900 monitor resolution) I have to drag to expand the window or the rightmost file list is cut off by the edge of the window.
Why doesn't the window scroll as you progress down through nested folders, so the contents of your most recently inspected folder are completey visible?
Is this a bug, a "feature" of the OS or a setting that I can change somewhere?
iMac G5 Mac OS X (10.4.5) minimal RAM (512MB) installed

Okay, the problem transpires to be one with OSX. If you see this problem then the solution is quite simple
    ============
The OS X version of Lightroom (the app itself) has a bug with rendering panels that causes interior content to sometimes overextend the width of the column. It doesn't happen all the time, but it will happen from time to time.
To fix the issue, hover over the vertical divider between the work area and the panels, click, hold, and expand the panels all the way to the left until you stop. Then quit/relaunch Lightroom. The panel content should reset and be back in view.

  • Varchar(Max) field cutting off data after 8000 characters SQL Server 2008

    Hi,
We have a scenario on which we are preparing the SQL query dynamically by string concatenat and then at the end EXECUTING the query using EXECUTE statement but observed that the VARCHAR(MAX) data type is not storing more then
    8000 character.
Here is the code snip. How i am using and where the variable is not storing more them 8000 character
We have a table "tblUserAssignedResourcesData" where we are storing "FilterType" and "FiletrValue" and then preparing the string like this:
    DECLARE @sqlQuery_UR VARCHAR(MAX)
    SET @sqlQuery_UR=''
    DECLARE @agentsColumns_UR VARCHAR(MAX)
    SELECT @agentsColumns_UR = ISNULL(@agentsColumns_UR,'') +''''+ FilterValue + ''''+',' FROM @tblUserAssignedResourcesData Where FilterType = 1

    print '@sqlQuery_UR ->' + @sqlQuery_UR
--Print statement should print all the Agents and Mobility values but it is not printing and hence my SQL query is faling to execute

Whats the value of @mobilityColumns_UR  before the below statement? This would give you
    some idea.
--Upto this all the Agents are storing properly then adding mobility user
    DECLARE @mobilityColumns_UR VARCHAR(MAX)
    SELECT @mobilityColumns_UR = ISNULL(@mobilityColumns_UR,'') +''''+ FilterValue + ''''+',' FROM @tblUserAssignedResourcesData Where FilterType = 3

    print '@mobilityColumns_UR  ->'
    + @mobilityColumns_UR
