Applicant Activities unable to be maintained

Hi Experts,
While running Recruitment hiring action in PB40, Create Applicant Activities infotype comes as being not maintainable.
The information regarding input of:
Activity type
Indicator compl./pl
Performance date
Room number
Building number
e.t.c
is grayed out. is there a reason or a configuration step that needs to be done?
Please advise.

I've also tried changing the operation from INS to MOD but no effect was seen.
any other suggestions?

    Craete ur set type.
    Create Hierarchiy. Create category under that. Assign set type in the category.
    Assign Category Hierarchy to the application. This is also important step.
    But John generaly the std base hierarchy (SALE_PROD/BASE_PROD) is used , may be u can create the new category under that and can assign ur set type
    If does not solve. Pls send the detail screen print what u did in [email protected] It will be better to tell u what step u r missing.

  • Applicant Activities

    dear friends,
    i have two applicant activities under one status i.e. Inprocess
    1.Initial Entry of Basic Data
    2. Call for Interview
    when i execute Initial Entry of Basic Data at the end of process system should not generate any letter and when i execute Call for Interview at the end of process system should generate Call letter for interview.
    at present my PACTV settings are like below:-
    1 In process (to generate receipt of letter)
    INDIC S
    APACT 004
    RECTK X
    REFID X
    IDTXT WW-CALL FOR INTERVIEW
    earlier also i posted this.  but no inputs. if i am not clear with my question i am ready to elaborate

  • Applicant Activities Calendar

    Hi experts,
    Any idea about how to make create a kind of calendar with the applicant activities. Transaction PBA9 (Planed Activities) do not show the time of each activity.
    Do you know if it would be possible to create a bond between the Business Workplace Calendar and the Activities (using the responsible). Or any other idea?

    I have created application status and applicant activity type and also configured for automatic creation of applicant activity. But after performing applicant action automatic applicant activity is not reflecting.
    Did I miss any step.

    We have created letters in recruitment module through tcode So10
    Here im in confusion where shall we add these lettes in the module.
    We have to add for Acknoeledgement,invitation for interview,offer letter and  rejection letter.

    Please assign the standard text name to IDTXT field.

  • Recruitment - Problem in Applicant activities

    Hi Friends,
    In recruitment I uploaded all required data for applicants,but when I'm transporting data from recruitment to PA system throuing error applicant activity not found.
    But as I'm aware of that IT 4003 (Applicant activity) has to create by system. But I didn't find any activity(data) in the IT 4003.
    Hence,  what I have to do for create the same by system or else can we do manually any uploads or settings.
    If I missed any thing or need to do kindly let me know.

    Hi,
    Use the Tcode PBA7 for Hiring.
    Give the Action for hiring in the Selection screen of PBA7 and all the emplyee related data can be edited during hiring to PA (if wanted).
    Check the Documentation of PBA7 in the selection screen.

    Hi guys,
    Plz help me in maintaing the applicant activities for an applicant in recruitment component.
    When I am trying to maintain it s giving the error as
    "Record 000000064003    00 200810232008102300020081023ARUN does not exist".
    It is not givina any technical details like table , view name where the record gets inserted.

    Now I  have to assign the planned activity (interview call) for dat internal applicant.
    so the error is comming when Iam maintaing the planned activity.
    The error is not comming if I perform the activity for external applicant.

    Hi All,
    Can anyone please advise if we can delete the existing (standard) applicant activities in SPRO and modify the existing one ?
    e.g. After we do initial data entry action in PB40, the planned activity: WW-RECEIPT automatically gets created. It has been defined in SPRO - Personnel Management -Recruitment -Applicant Selection -Applicant activities - Applicant activity types - Change automatic creation of applicant activities.
    Feature PACTV is maintained.
    Please advise.

    Hi,
    indeed the automatic creation of Activities is defined in PACTV.
    You can delete the node "1 In process" and no activity will be generated.
    Alternatively, you can bring the Activity in the foreground (INDIC A instead of INDIC S) so the user can choose whether to save it or not.

    This meean that I want to invite applicant to our interview. After carrying out action 'Interview Applicant', an activity is created automatically and send to applicant .

  • Rejection Applicant: How to add plain text to the mail E Mail Letter?

    Dear All:
    I'm working with a ECC6 version.
    In transaction PB60, when we do the candidate rejection activity, the E Mail letter generates a mail with empty body text, and an attachment with the letter in PDF format. The letter is OK, but I would like to know how to add some plain text to this E Mail letter. An empty mail is not a good practise.
    I searched across the forums and SAP documentation, but I could not find any clue.
    I would appreciate any help regarding to this matter.

    Here you go !  ( you need to create Text in t-code SO10 for ID = PAML " )
    Two Default texts under  ID = PAML :
    *MAIL-APP-INTERVIEW     *EN     TEXT     PAML     SYSTEM
    MAIL-APPLICANT     EN     TEXT     PAML     SYSTEM
      Personnel Management->Applicant Activities->Mail Connection ->Create standard texts for mail connection
    Create standard texts for mail connection
    In this step you can create the standard texts to be used in mails.
    Example
    u2022     Request for return of applicant file
    u2022     Notification of date of job interview
    Requirements
    u2022     You should have assigned a standard text to the activity.
    u2022     You should also have set the variables which are to be used.
    u2022     Finally, you should also have made the settings for supplying the variable with values.
    Standard settings
    The standard system contains two examples of standard texts. You can use these examples as references to help you create your own standard texts. The standard texts have the following names:
    u2022     MAIL-APPLICANT (note on an applicant activity)
    u2022     MAIL-APP-INTERVIEW (note on appointment for interview)
    Please note that the standard texts are stored under text ID PAML.
    Activities
    Now create the standard texts you require under text ID PAML.
    Further notes
    Every mail is made up of a heading and contents. In the first line of the standard text you enter the heading of the mail and from the second line on, the contents.
    The standard default settings for style and layout are used for mails.
    The SAP System treats standard texts as application data. This is why there is no automatic connection to the transport system. If you want to copy texts from one client to another within the same system, please use the functions of the transaction to create the texts. If you want to send the texts to a different system, please enter the transport manually as follows:

  • How to maintain year of experience required for a position?

    Hi All,
    There is a very requirement for a position like "3 years of experience as Executive" I dont know how to maintain this requirement in SAP. Right now we have created a qualification named "Executive Experience" with a time scale assigned to it with a validity period of one year so HR dept must change the scale evey year. It works but it's not best practice. I know if there is a way we can use employee past and current work history to determine the level of experience and also how to define this requirement in position profile.

    I maintained all those thing. But i have to do the selection process on the basis of position with year of experience. While doing the selection process via Position or Qualification its picking up the exact applicant. I created a career as 3 years as you said so that the minimum year of experience for that position is 3 years. Then where i can give the year of experience for the applicant? Even though i maintained the previous employer details as 2 years the system is picking up the applicant. Logic wise how to do this?
    Please help me to sort out this problem.

    I want to create activity  Confirmation of receipt after carry out action "Initial entry of basic data" automatically. I configured on the  path : (SPRO -> Personnel Management -> Recruitment ->Applicant Selection -> Change automatic creation of applicant activities )
    Finally, no activity appeared in PB60.
    I don't know which steps I need more for this purpose

  • HRMS Applicant Entry

    Hi there,
    I am facing a problem in R12 instance HRMS-Applicant Entry Form.
    When i am entering an applicant and saving it is giving the error message like :
    " APP_FND_01206 : this record already exists, you entered a duplicate value or sequence of values that must be unique for every record."
    The applicant number is generated as automatic numberBut still i am getting this message.
    But when i am entering the applicant using Enter people and maintain form -
    It is allowing to save the applicant and also that record is visible in applicant entry form.
    Can anyone suggest me the solution for this type of message.

    We came across similar type of issue in Oracle Receivables, so the fix was given in the metalink Note:182897.1,
    I think it is again a similiar kind of issue but i am not sure.. you can refer that note..it might you a some idea what the issue might be
