Applicant correspondence in Recruitment issue

Greetings !!
In Applicant Correspondence,
I have set the feature WPROC to RTF (rich text format) and trying to create standard texts for applicant correspondence, I am getting the error as -
"Internal error in SAP OLE document container control.
Message no.SOFFICEINTEGRATION019"
What is the main problem? what should I need to do to overcome this error?
Can anyone please suggest me the procedure, how to create the standard texts for applicant correspondence in Recruitment module in ECC 6.0 ........

  • Recruiting - issue viewing application data

    Dear experts,
    We are having the PeopleSoft recruiting module installed on a 2nd DB for external users (let's call this one EXT), and the backoffice uses the 1st DB for creating job openings etc. (let's call this one REC for clarity)
    Between both DBs, there's a daily data synchronization (candidate data are uploaded into REC and job opening data are uploaded into EXT).
    For one of the job openings, we received a complaint from a candidate that his information for the application is not complete / correct.
    Because EXT is the master in this case, I tried opening his application on EXT (through the recruiter pages Find Applicant and then "View application") but I can see the applicant itself but not his application data (i.e. I see the icon "view application" but clicking doesn't do anything at all).
    I have found an example of another applicant where I can open his application data without problem so at least it seems not to be a general problem for all applicants in EXT.
    It seems however that other applicants for the same job opening cannot be opened either.
    I might be wrong but I concluded that the issue must be with the job opening data and I checked each and every table that is synchronized for anomalies (including job posting descriptions) and I checked existence of "supporting data" as recruiting location etc. Everything data wise seems to be ok for this job opening... I'm puzzled.
    I went on checking the applicant's data and application data itself, but apart from what obviously was missing as received per mail, I could not see anything wrong with them either.
    I had to refresh the job opening transaction table in the process of checking the data so that is not the issue here.
    Anyone who can shed a light on this? Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for your valauble inputs.
    I did review the config and found that the PERNR is assigned. The SPRO config also looks fine.
    One more thing is that our Basis Consultant is able to view and edit the details. He has superuser roles and J2EE admin roles, but as per my knowlegde these roles are not assigned to everyone.When these roles where assigned to other users they were able to view.
    So looks like Business Package is also fine then what could be the reason ???

    In case of the internal applicant check for the table PB4005 where employee number would be mapped against the applicant number.
    Also for activation between P.A and Recruitment maintain the feature accordingly -  PRELI return value must be *.

    But I think it is only possible if you activate SES instead of old XML based search.

    I am trying to deploy the SAPME.sca file into NetWeaver, I use the JSPM to deploy this sca file, and I am sure this file is copied to /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in, and I am also sure the JSPM is pointed to the path /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in folder, but when the JSPM goes to specify queue step, it shows "No applicable software somponent(s) found for deployment in inbox directory /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in". This is very strange, because this issue only happened since this week, last week, I deployed another sca file, and it succeeded without any problems.
    Can anyone give me some information what goes wrong with my JSPM?

    Have you tried to install as per mentioned in the SAP note 1405259 ?
    Extract from the above note:
        23. Copy the SAPME.sca file from path C:\SAP\SAPME\AppServer or home/SAP/SAPME/AppServer to the local SAP EPS inbox. (For example, c:\usr\sap\trans\EPS\in or /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in.)
        24. Open the JSPM (Java Software Package Manager) as the <SAPSID>adm user.
        25. Enter the password and press Enter.
        26. Enter your JSPM password and choose the Log On pushbutton.
        27. Select the Single Support Packages and Patches (advanced user only) radio button and choose Next.
        28. On the Support Packages .. Specify Queue screen, the Vendor/Name column shows sap.com/ME.
        29. The TargetRelease.SPLevel.PatchLevel column shows the SAP Manufacturing Execution version to deploy.
        30. If there are any other rows on this page, set the value in the TargetRelease.SPLevel.PatchLevel column to skip and choose the Next pushbutton. The system begins loading the selected archives. When the selected archives have finished loading the Support Packages .. Check Queue screen appears.
        31. Choose the Start pushbutton. On the Support Packages .. Deploy Queue screen, the table shows the current status of the deployment in the Status column.

  • Error in Generating letter for correspondence in Recruitment

    dear Experts,
    I am working on Recruitment module in SAP HCM. Have 1 problem when I tried to generate the letter from the recruitment activity e.g. receipt of application
    When I tried to generate it, the system will call up Microsoft Word, but then it displayed a small screen, asking in which file format I would convert the file e.g. plain text, encoded text, RTF, HTML, etc.
    When I selected RTF, it would give me error message "unknown error". When I selected "plain text" or "encoded text", it would generate error message "Internal error in SAP OLE document container control"
    Did anyone face problem like that? would really appreciate if you could share the remedy

    I have tried to update the installation of MS Word 2002, it didn't work. Then I installed the MS Office 2003 which include MS Word 2002, still it gave me the same error.
    There is something about the office integration with the SAP, which I suspect the problem is on installation, although I am not sure which part.

  • E-Recruitment - Issue in Requisition Approval, flow to Recruiter

    Hi All,
    Im using standard WF 45600028 for requisition approval.
    The request when created by Manager is going for approval to his supervisor and Supervisor in turn is able to approve the request, but the its not reaching recruiter.
    When i verified Requisition monitor of the MSS view, then i see the request in "Draft" mode instead of "Released".
    I feel this is the reason why recruiter is unable to see the requisition coming from Workflow.
    Can someone help me change the status?

    Hey Thanks Siddharth,
    Anyways, my problem is resolved. What i mean on Recruiter's involvement is recieving the approved form so that he can take it up further for posting.
    In My case Recruiter's dash board or UWL , nowhere is the data populated. So i was of the opinion that the approved requests are by default saving in draft mode and hence not reaching recruiter.
    Finally, i reallized that there is a small refresh link, at the bottom of the dash board. I need to click on the each of the links in the dashboard and "Refresh" from the link at the bottom, then only my approved requests are showing up, that too under "My Application Groups, My Open Requisiotns and All requisitions".
    Silly me !! I have wasted so much of my time debugging Workflow and changing all the possible config setting.
    But i really wonder why cant the data base be updated when we refresh with F5 instead click on each of the links in dashboard inorder to see what has he got in his box. This seems little weird to me.

  • ESS integration with E-Recruiting - issue w WDA Favorites & MyApplications

    Hi all,
    We are implementing E-Rec 6.0 EhP3 and ESS EhP3 on 2 different boxes.
    In ESS, the services for 'Recruitment' such as Job Search, My Profile, Apply Directly etc are easily intergrated within the iviews by supplying the URLs from E-Rec's SICF (Right-click, Test service, retrieve URL)
    However, for the other 2 ESS services - Favourites & My Applications - in E-Rec, these 2 components (HRRCF_C_JOB_FAVO_UI & HRRCF_C_APPLICATIONS_UI) do not have the 'Application' in SICF/SE80 that I could 'test service' and generate its unique URL.
    Are there any patches, fixes, or workaround to enable Favorites & My Applications services in E-Rec to be called within ESS without any development?

    If so then you must undertake you own integration of EHP3 E-recruitment applications to ESS Business Package - technically it should still be possible to call WD ABAP applications from ESS pages (or iviews) in the same way as it is possible to call
    BSPs from ESS pages (or iviews) - it should also be possible to define and call any URL via service links anywhere in the ESS pages if required

    helo friends,
    i have generated a letter which is to be sent to the applicant in word through t-code pbww and as well as same letter in sapscript also.
    when i want to mail this letter to a applicant, system is allowing to mail sapscript but when i was trying word format it was saying faxing and e-mailing is not possible in RTF format.
    to mail an RTF there is a feature WPROC.  in that return value should be RTF.  i have done this also.  what else could be the problem.
    kindly suggest me.  how to process this RTFs in applicant corresondence (t-code-pb60).

    Please check the following in your system:
    - Go to PE03
    - feature 'WPROC'
    - select 'Attributes'
    - press 'Display'
    - press 'Struct.'
    - there you will find the Basic information 'Passing type'
      This must be set to '2' (Table Transfer). If this is set
      to '1' i.e. please change this entry.

    Well,
    what Deepak means is the field "published" in that table.
    Each posting is marked in T77RCF_EXT_PUB or T77RCF_INT_PUB for indexing. If indexing was successful, that published flag is set to X.
    If it is not set to X (start_date and end_date need to be current), then you probably forgot to run report RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES periodically.
    First check if Report is running periodically. The check the notes I sent you.

    Hi,
    In SAP each module is a stand alone module.
    PBA7  and PBA8 are used for transferring of data from RC to PA.
    If you want to transfer any data from one module to other module is possible by using data carrier instruments with technical people help.

  • E-Recruiting: Batch Creation of Applicants

    Hi Experts,
    I have the following questions and would really appreciate if anyone could help:
    1) My job portal is an external system and I need to import in the applicants into E-Recruiting.  I know E-Recruiting does not have a BDC concept.  So how should I do it?  Is there a standard function module/program which I can call to create the application and necessary relationship tables like HRP5102?
    2) In infotype HRP5102, for the Status field, there are two possible values for 'released' mode (1 and 2).  What is the difference?
    3) In infotype HRP5102, for the ISTAT field, what does the different status value means?
    Will appreciate if there are any documentation on it as online help did not elaborate much.

    for question 1:
    E-recruiting is does not support an complete interface for data maintenance like the BAPIs of the Business Partner. It has carious service classes to support customer developments but replacing the whole candidate frontend by a non sap solution will generate very huge expenses.
    I am not sure why you do not want to use the frontend delivered with e-recruiting. It can be integrated into company web appearance which would be much easier and probably cheaper,too.
    Perhaps you can highlight some reasons / restrictions which lead to the conclusion that you can't use the sap delivery here.
    for question 2:
    The reason for the 3 domain keys for only 2 values is a historical one. When the development of e-recruiting started the status management for candidates had 3 different value based on the assumption that candidates will be in the pool for a lon period of time:
    - "not searching" - a candidate which has been in contact with the company but for any reason does not currently look for a new position, e.g. he just changed jobs. of course he stays in the system for identifying former contacts and perhaps in a year or 2 he is interested in a job again.
    - "passive searching" - a candidate which is more or less satisfied with his current employment but won't complain about an new offer for a new challaging task or enough cash
    - "active searching" - a candidate who is really unsatified with his current job and will take any acceptable offer
    Anywhen SAP came to the conclusion that these 3 candidate states are very difficult to handle. In the end most candidates will take a new job if you put enough money on the table. So SAP changed the candidate status to "I only want to be checked on the positions I choose" (= profile locked) and "If you think you have a job I might fit just feel free" (= profile released). It seems that SAP was not really sure where they used 1 or 2 so they just gave both keys the same description. Within coding profile status is usually checked against key 0 with EQ or NE.
    for question 3:
    The standard HR components use a status concept for some of the objects e.g. an organizational unit can have different states (planed, requested, activ, ...) and the relation to other objects derive this concept. As all HR components use the same database structures e-recruiting infotypes have this field in their key structures, too. But e-recruiting does not use this concept so this field always should be 1 in all datasets.
