hello, would be interested in an application that when you move the phone or by detecting movement by the camera send a sms or a call, this application exists, thanks

The Pearl model does not have the accelerometer feature (like a Storm model) and cannot detect movement.

    URGENT

I wouldn't say you made a "mistake". It might be a custom build, but Firefox never had a 1.7 version; skipped from 1.5 to 2.0 in release version numbering.
The old Mozilla Application Suite had 1.7 as its' last version produced; ended with 1.7.13 in April 2006. That's why I equate "Mozilla web browser (1.7)" with the old Mozilla Suite and not with Firefox.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Application_Suite
Whatever the case, no one should be using a web browser that was produced back in 2006 on the internet in 2014. If that is used completely on an internal intranet, you shouldn't have a problem; beyond finding support for an old version like that.

I'm having problems with FlashPlayerPlugin and plugin-container. They keep starting up and bogging down the system. This has been a recent occurrance. I've made sure that I have the latest version. I notice the problem when I am opening some applicatio, and it freezes. If I go to Task Manager, I can see the two Adobe apps sucking up CPU cycles. If I end the processes, then the other apps continue. Today, I uninstalled FlashPlayerPluginqand plugin-container. All day since I have had no freezing of an app. What should I do to correct the problem?

Here's an explanation of what those processes are.

I'm curious about what you did to uninstall just those.

  • LabView Exe Application file not launch Excel application for report generation

    Dear All,
I created one LabVIEW application file for report generation (using Excel Template).
While I run the program in programming mode it works well and create the report file in the specified path.
After creation of the application file(exe), it gives the correct path of where the excel template is placed. The same path is given to New Report.vi, but it gives the error 'File Not Found'.
Tell me, is any other configuration required for generating Excel reports? (During exe application mode)
    Give me the solution.
    Thank You
    Jegan.

    Hello,
Most likely you are encountering a problem of stripping and/or building paths.  Probably the easiest thing to do is put a couple indicators on your front panel for the path or paths you care about, build your exe, and make sure you are really using the path you'd like.  If you always put the report at some deterministic place relative to the exe (that is, even it the exe is moved, it will go with the exe and remain in the same relative path location, then you can use the Current VIs Path funtion found in the ... File I/O -> File Constants palette as a start path (where you will want to strip at least the exe name off of course).
I think this will bring some clarity to the issue!

  • How to make my application programmatically switch between English and Russian

    Greetings from Colorado...
My application needs to be switchable between English and Russian.  Future languages to add are Spanish and Chinese.  The user selects a language
from a control before starting the program and then the program changes the Captions, Boolean Texts, Graph Labels, and Enum Type Strings to the
chosen language.  For Russian, this requires a different set of characters.  I have made substantial progress by:
Control Panels>Region and Language>Keyboards and Languages>Change Keyboards added Russian>Keyboard>Russian on my development
    computer.
In the LabVIEW.ini file, I added UseUnicode=TRUE (thanks to a suggestion found in this forum)
Made property nodes for controls and used properties such as Interpret As Unicode (True for Russian, False for English), Text, Font Name, Font Size, etc.
I have used fonts Arial and Arial CYR for Russian and MS Sans Serif for English
Set the keyboard for Russian and enter Cyrillic characters into text constants that are set for Arial or Arial CYR font.  Sometimes one works and
sometimes the other works.  As long as I set the font name in the property node the same way the text went into the text constant, it generally
works.  I wish I could understand why one works sometimes and the other works other times!
I have had trouble with the Boolean Text going off-center when changing fonts and languages and it seems that by setting the Lock Text In Center
property to False and then True again, it seems to work.  Often changing Boolean texts between short and long texts causes some of the long text
to be non-displayed; I have remedied this by explicitly setting the width of the Boolean text in a property node.
Often, the Russian text appears as gibberish with strange right-angle characters, :s, =s, and tiny numbers.  I have been able to remedy this on my
development computer by ensuring that the text constant on the block diagram has the same size as the caption is supposed to have.  This
is not necessary for normal programming in English, but it seems to help here.  But it doesn't always solve the problem.
Sometimes the English text appears as Chinese gibberish in an Enum Type selection list or in a graph label.  On my development computer,
it seems that making the text the last property to change helps here.
By changing the sequences of assignments to a single property node with a long list of properties, I have been able to make some of these
controls to switch between languages without gibberish showing up.
A few hours ago, I had the Russian strings in the Enum Type control working, except that when selecting from the available items, only the first
word of the Russian string was displayed.  Two of the items start with the same word, so the user can't distinguish them.
At that time the English strings were appearing as Chinese gibberish while the list during the selection process displayed in English.  As soon
as I changed the selection, future attempts to change the selection gave Chinese gibberish during the selection process, too.  But this was only
a problem in the executable version; the source-code version worked fine.
In an attempt to get rid of the Chinese gibberish, I made new constants and retyped the items into them.  This worked!  But then, the Russian
stopped working and gave gibberish angles and tiny numbers, even though I didn't touch any of the code that sets the properties in Russian mode.
After trying a few sequences of setting the properties for the graph X label on page 2 of my tab control, this label started working correctly for both
languages.  But the text of that label comes through on page 1 of the tab control, partly obscured by other controls on that page.  After the
program runs a few more seconds, these shadows disappear.
Most times I restart LabVIEW, I get an error message saying there was a crash due to fontmgr.cpp, line 7494.  But there actually wasn't a crash.
My computer has Windows 7 64-bit.  Deployment Computer has Windows 7 32-bit.  LabVIEW version is 8.5.
I have probably 50 or 100 more controls and indicators to change to language programmability and figuring out all this stuff for each one is
terribly time-consuming and there is no assurance that all of them will ever work.
At this point, I'm hoping that I am on an entirely wrong path and someone will send me a clue to get me on a path that is more predictable.
Thanks in advance to all who post ideas!
    Cheers
    Halden

    Hi All,
I've made a lot of progress on this translation, but it's been really hard.  There are lots of weird things going on that must be logical because they're in a computer, but I can't figure out what the logic is.  When changing a font on a caption using the front panel, it sometimes changes the font on the caption and sometimes doesn't although the indicator always indicates the new font.  Removing the first character of the unicode font string being sent to the caption seems to help...huh?  Anyway, tabs still can't change language programmatically, and niether can ring controls (some kinds will take the new list of strings, but when selecting, they only display the first word of the string!).  Boolean text can be reprogrammed, but only if the boolean text is set to be the same for both true and false states.  When reprogramming captions on a non-displayed page of a multi-page tab-controlled user interface, the new text appears on the current page until I change pages back and forth.  What a pain!
Sooo, NI....does LabVIEW 2011 have support for unicode fonts?  Or, is there anything else in the new control style that will support programmatic language changing?

I've had this exact issue on a computer that couldn't access the network.
It is because .NET is trying to access the network. Can you run this application on a computer connected to internet ? I believe you have to uncheck some options
Control Panel --> Internet options --> Advanced
I believe the three I unchecked were: "Check for Publisher's certificate revocation", "Enable Integrated Windows Authentication", and "Check for Server certificate revocation". I am not sure about the exact 3 I unchecked, but give it a try. Good luck !

  • Problem building application using Report Generation Toolkit, LV 2011

    I'm using LabVIEW 2011 under Windows 7.
I tried to use Application Builder to create an executable from a large body of code. One thing the application does is load VIs into a subpanel and run them.
Application Builder created the executable and gave no error message. The built application ran except that it couldn't run any of the dynamic VIs.
I finally succeeded in doing a screen grab on a transient dialog (about 1/10 sec. appearance). The dialog showed an attempt to load <vilib>:\Utility\NIReport.llb\NI_report.lvclass.
In one dynamic VI I commented out the call to the only VI that uses the Report Generation Toolkit (called only from dynamic VIs, all of which call it). Sure enough, when I built the application with that change and ran it, the dynamic VI that didn't invoke the Report Generation Toolkit did successfully load into the subpanel and run.
So, trying to prove to myself that that was the only problem, I wrote a VI that does nothing but load a VI into a subpanel and run it. User can choose one of two VIs: one that doesn't call the Report Generation Toolkit (or do much of anything), and one that does. Both VIs run fine standalone.
The not-much-of-anything VI loaded and ran in the subpanel. The other VI didn't--the same dialog, mentioned above, popped up for 1/10 second or less. Screen grab is attached.
When I included LVClass and NIReport.llb folders in the project (from vi.lib\Utility: Snapshot folders), and "Always Included" those folders (per a suggestion on this forum from a few years ago), the result was the same. The result was also the same when I included either one of those folders but not the other. Likewise it doesn't matter whether I add the dynamic VIs as "Always Included" or not.
Another piece of information that may be pertinent: when adding the NIReport.llb folder, I got a message that it was impossible to add a certain VI that's part of some report-type class, because a VI of that name already existed in the project. Screenshot of that dialog is also attached.
VIs and project file are also attached along with the two screenshots. I hardcoded VI paths, so put everything into C:\Testing if you want to see what the code does--or hack as desired, etc.
I will be deeply grateful for any help! And I apologize in advance if there's already some exact or close-enough solution posted--but I doubt there is. I looked around.
    Thanks very much,
    mws

    Test-App-Build.zip ‏336 KB

    Hi again,
If you extract all files in the original zip attachment to a folder called C:\Testing on a Windows 7 machine running LV 2011, and then use the build script within the project file to build the application, you can run the application and see what happens. You can also play around with the build parameters, rebuild, run, and see what happens then. You can also open my VIs and see what I'm doing.
The application lets you pick one of two dynamic VIs to run in a subpanel. One VI contains calls both to Report Generation VIs and some functions from the Advanced File Functions palette. The other VI does not.
When you pick the first VI to load and run (the one with the Report Generation and Advanced File Functions calls), it loads into the subpanel but is not executable.
When you pick the second VI to load and run, it does load into the subpanel and execute. So there's nothing wrong with the way I load and run a VI in the subpanel.
In the development environment, the whole thing runs with no problems.
Evidently the built application has problems resolving paths of something called by Report Generation VIs and by the Advanced File Functions I use.
I've done a lot of experimenting and no luck. I've looked in forum archives, etc. etc., for possible solutions. I'm hoping there's some simple solution I've missed.
Thanks very much for any help!

  • Report generation toolkit and Stand-Alone Application

I know this question has been posed many time already.  I have been fighting this issue for a week now and I've exhaused all ideas I can think of.
I have an application that I moved to another PC.  For the past year or so it has been running off of a machine that has LV installed (LV2010).  The issue is none of the RGT VIs seem to be working.  I know this is related to additional files that need to be included in the application, an believe me, I have tried, but nothing works.  I have read through all the threads I can find related to this issue as well as documents and the LV Help.
--It is my understanding the the dynamic VIs for Excel and Word do not need to be included for LV versions higher than 8.2.  But I tried anyway and nothing.
--I've added the folders LVClass and NIReport.llb folders to my project and "always included" in my application.  Still nothing.
--I've tried adding NI_Excel.lvclass to my project as the instructions in the help say to do and included it into my application.  Still zilch.
--I've tried different combinations of things to try and get this to work and I get the same result.
For some reason, the program cannot find the VIs it needs in order to generate the report.  No errors are returned either from the application.
I should note that when I included the NI_Excel.lvclass to my application that the size of the program did not change.  I thought this was strange.  It appeared the files in the class did not get included since they were not greyed out; however, after including the NIReport.llb which contains this class, they did get included, but unfortunately this did not fix my issue.
One question I have is why do the files in the LVClass and NIReport.llb folders not appear in the Preview, but if you have "Use LabView 8.x file layout" under the Advanced page checked, they do?  This should be unchecked I know, just curious as to what was witnessed.
I am hoping this is something simple that I have over-looked.  I'm tired of beating my head into the wall.  I appreciate any assistance you folks can give.
    Thanks.

Yes, I noticed this as well.
Let me ask, if if the class libraries are in the dependencies, won't they be a part of the application?  So why does it need to be included.  NI_Excel.lvclass in in the dependencies.

  • Report Generation Toolkit and Application Builder

I am going insane trying to work this out.
I am trying to build an EXE program using Application Builder. The program uses the Office Report Generation Toolkit.
I have tried including the dynamic VIs into the project, both from the Development machine and from the CD. I still have the same problem : the application does not start Excel. It is like the commands go into a black hole. There isn't even an error message.

  • How do I run totally sperate VI's from a compiled application

Hi, I have hit a wall here and am not sure which direction I should be moving in.  A relevant detail, running LV8.2 and application builder on Vista/XP.  Any suggestions on the approach I should be taking would be most helpful.
I have a top level application (compiled in the application builder) from there I wish to run other VI's that are elsewhere in my local network file system.  So the top level application gives the user a standard interface, from which they can then run the other VI's which are task specific (but that detail does not matter to the user).
As time goes by I will be adding more of the task oriented vi's to the system and I want avoid having to make these task oriented vi's part of the top level application as maintenance will be more painful.  Having the ability to fix or add a new individual task oriented VI's without having to recompile the whole top level application is the aim.
On top of this I do need to pass some info to the task oriented VI and obtain some information back from it.
Some points that I can't get my head around at this stage are -
    1.  The task oriented VI's - do I have to compile these with application builder or can I call an uncompiled VI and run it in the top level application(I think not)?
    2.  How do I call the task oriented VI from the top level application - I have looked at "Open VI Reference" and "Open Application Reference" and am not sure how these apply to this situation.
So any thoughts would be appreciated, otherwise I am stuck with a lot of tedious trial and error to figure this out.
      Many Thanks.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You can use the concept of "Plug-ins" in your current architecture.
I have attched a simple calculator vi which actually lets you know how to use this feature in LabVIEW.
I have created an exe for my Main.vi (called calc.exe)which would serve as the standard user interface. There are plugins by name Add, sub,mul and dev.vi
These vi are specifically kept in the Plugins directory so that "main" (the calc.exe) knows where to look for these vi's and if present they will get populated to the control called "operations".
So your task oriented vi's could be made as plugin vi's
Also, the the run time engine in LV can load files with ".vi" extension. so if you are creating a new vi to perform different task, create a seperate vi and then place them in the plugin folder. Please note that the connector pane must be identical for all the plugin vi's and if you think that your plugin vi's have different input and output terminals then create a cluster for all the inputs(or outputs) and flatten them to string or variant so that ou can maintain a same connector Pane pattern.

I'm trying to make an executable file but I recive the following error message:
Error 1003 occurred at Open VI Reference in Dist Copy Non-VI Files.vi->Dist Build LLB Image.vi->Dist Build App Image.vi->Build Application.vi
    Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW:  The VI is not executable.
Does anyboy know the reason for this message?
    Thanks.

    Hello Jaime,
I've tried to compile a very simple VI (there is only a while loop that executes nothing and counter is wired to an indicator.
I've attached you.) and I've got the same error.  So the code or any dynamic VIs are not the problem.
I've repaired the Application Builder within Control Panel > Add and Remove programs but I haven't resolved the problem.
