Hi,
Thank you for this link, this solution is working well with "SendKeys %ft" <=> "File > Page Setup..."
I have also found a way to invoke menu item Tag but it just don't do anything with "APP_PRINTER_SETUP" <=> "Page Setup..." !!!

  • Menu disappears when accessing menu items in Web Dynpro

    Hi friends,
I have a peculiar problem. I created a webdynpro application in WD for ABAP which displays a menu of Employee self services(ESS). In the window on the leftside the menu is displayed. if you click on any of the service name, the corresponding service will be displayed on the right side of the window. If another service is clicked, the previous service session will be logged out and the new service will be started in a new session. This is working fine.
But if the user clicks on two or more services alternately, for a random number of times, sometimes the menu disappears and the whole of the window is occupied by the service frame itself. Sometimes this happens for a second click itself and sometimes it doesn't happen at all. Some other times it happens after clicking the services for nearly 50 times.
It is difficult to test even because we do not know after how many attempts the menu will disappear and whether it will disappear at all.
    Can anyone suggest a solution.

    Hi Sujesh,
First create a menu. Add menu items and then bind the menu item events to view controller actions. Define an event parameter mapping if you need to determine the menu item that triggered the action, or use separate actions for the menu items.
For api see the link below:

    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Pooja.

  • I can't access menu items, nor use mouse right click

I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 and all of a sudden I cant use the mouse to access the menu items, nor use the right click menus. I can click on button and links with the left button, but right clicking on a link does not bring up the usual menu. I recall this happening in the past, but an exit and restart of the program cleared it up. Reboot are not fixing the problem, nor reinstallation ( after removal).

It seems it could be a profile corruption issue, but not quite!
I was having the same issue (I'm running Lucid Lynx) and after starting Firefox with the -profilemanager option and using the default profile, I was able to access the menu items and get a right-click options menu. I then shutdown Firefox and restarted with my regular profile and it is now working just fine!
A little weird, but hey, I can access the menu items as per normal.
FYI: I had to purge and reinstall Adobe Flashplugin just yesterday then today I got this problem soon after one application crashed in Wine - not sure if all these things are related though!
    Ciao,

  • [Gnome 3.2 fallback] Can't edit Applications - Accessories menu items

Since the upgrade to 3.2 I can't edit Accessories menu list. Any idea how to to remove this feature?
    Off-topic:
Does anyone else gets gray-to-black gradient on focused window list (panel) items? I've installed fresh Arch with Gnome 3.2 in VBox and I get the same thing there too (including inability to edit Accessories list).

How do you mean 'editing Accessories menu'? You can enable/disable elements from Applications menu by right clicking on it, and select 'Edit menus'. You can get a more functional menu editor by installing alacarte (gtk2) or alacarte-git (gtk3) from AUR.
And I also get gray-to-black gradient for active window on windows list on bottom panel, which makes the name of the window unreadable.

    I'm no expert but,
I think you need "extended" version of CS6 to get 3D  (3D included in CC)
and a suitable graphics card to display it
CC 3D is easier to use too.

  • The right-click "move to group" menu item has disappeared, how can I get it back?

    <blockquote>Locking duplicate thread.<br>
    Please continue here: [/questions/813094?]</blockquote><br>
This menu option has been there since I started using the beta. It disappeared during one of the beta revisions, but was back for RC1. In fact, I just used it the other day, but now it is not there. What is my problem?

    OK,
I solved my own problem. For some reason, if I enable the menu bar, the option comes back, and when I disable it it seems to stay ..... for now. Bug maybe?
    Note,
I even installed the Menu Editor 1.2.7 Addon (which showed the "Move to Group" option enabled, and that still did not solve the problem.

  • Applescript open message menu items greyed out

I've struck a real dilemma. When opening a Mail message with any sort of scripting, many of the menu items remain greyed out, including the one  that's important to me, 'Save Attachments...'.
If I manually open the same message, the menu items are enabled.
Try this script, by resetting the mailbox name to one of your own mailboxes, and you'll see what I mean.
Anybody got any clues as how to fix this, please? (I've lodged a bug report).
    Regards

  • Menu items greyed out

I just loaded my Ae and I am using the Adobe Ae CC 2014 CIB and when opening Ae in the menu to start off with the menu items to start with are greyed out, How and Why?
I am using an iMac 27" system and it is brand new less than a year old. I downloaded the guru 5.0 or ;after Driver, now no welcome screen come up and the menu items are greyed out. I am trying to start the program and I can't. Any ideas to help ? oh Yeah my name is Bill140.

Are you definitely opening the correct version of After Effects, or are you perhaps opening the After Effects Render Engine instead?
The Render Engine is, as its name suggests, purely for rendering existing projects, and most other functions are greyed out.

  • IDVD menu items greyed out? Help!

Hello, i recently bought an external DVD drive for my mac mini ( unfort, I bought it used for good price, and didn't realize until later that the mini didn't burn DVDs. Its a combo-drive unit). Anyhow, after installing my external DVD drive, I figured id try out iDVD for the first time. I opened up iDVD '08, and for some reason almost all my menu items are greyed out!
The items i can access through the menu bar are: New, Open, Quit, and the 4 buttons ( create project, Magic iDVD, etc)
The items i CANNOT access are pretty much everything else! : About Idvd, Preferences, Check for updates. It seems to me if i cant access "Preferences", something is seriously wrong.
Any ideas why these items would be greyed out? Maybe some options aren't available until i get rolling, but "About IDVD" and "Preferences" should be available at any point.
    Thanks in advance
    Darren
P.S. A little more info: The external DVD drive ( LaCie d2 16X DVD-RW Firewire, Product # 301120R) does apparently work. I was able to burn a simple test disc with a slideshow. So I do know the DVD drive works and can burn discs. Anyhow I'm wondering if IDVD somehow checks the computer drive ,sees its a Combodrive that my mac mini has, and therefore glitches somehow? Only thing I can think of?

Thanks for the tip. Now i realize i have another problem. There is no icon for my external DVD drive, like yours shows in the screenshoot. If i go to SYSTEM PROFILER, and look under Hardware>Firewire, sure enough the LaCie drive appears there. So the Mac is apparently aware of it. But there is no icon on my desktop. I unplugged both the power and Firewire cord and then replugged it in, and still no DVD icon appears on the desktop. My external Harddrive appears on my desktop..i wonder why the external DVD drive would not?

  • Indesign CC - All menu items greyed out on new install

    Hello!
I just installed Indesign CC on a new Mac laptop (I can provide specs if needed), and when I open ID *all* menu items are greyed out. I can't create a new file, open legacy files, or even quit the app (force quit only). I have not installed any plugins. Other CC programs work fine.
    Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your response, Peter.
Replacing the preferences and savedData did not innitially work, but it did lead to a solution. I realized that I ported over my old mac to this new one from a backup, and there old versions of preferences from ID (even tho I had uninstalled the program). I cleaned out my preference and cache folders of old and new ID support files. ID then opened with no problem. Hopefully this will help anyone else who has this issue.
    Thank you for your help!

  • All menu items greyed out, no window

For some reason, when I startup my Remote Desktop v3.0, I don't get the main window, and all of my menu items are greyed out. Has anyone ever experienced this?

I've never seen the scenario you describe... but here's an idea. It kind of sounds like Remote Desktop isn't finishing the "start up" process.
There are actually two "com.apple.RemoteDesktop.plist" files. One in <user>/Library/Preferences which contains all of your user information, and one in /Library/Preferences which contains License information.
Try deleting the one in /Library/Preferences and launching Remote Desktop. This should cause it to bring up the serial number entry panel. Type in your serial number, and continue on.
Maybe that will make it happy.

  • All Menu Items Greyed Out CS5

Everytime I use Photoshop CS5, at some point all of the menu items get greyed out and don't come back unless I quit and reopen Photoshop.  There doesn't seem to be anything that triggers it.
All the keyboard shortcut and the mouse and tools work fine, but I can't select any of the menu items in the dropdowns in the menu bar (Photoshop, File, Edit, Image, etc)
This is obviously very annoying...any ideas?

    Hi
Just to add that it occurred the first, or second time, I booted PhotoShop CS5 on a new i7 10.6.3 machine. All menus without exception were greyed. I discovered it trying Cmd O which didn't work. After a moment being stunned, then stumped, I just instinctively hit the Cmd Q as a last ditch before reaching for the force quit in the Apple menu and was surprised to find it  responded to that keyboard command and quit. Since then (and so far) it's been fine.
I'm desparately trying to think which other app in the Premium Suite did it on first boot too. I think it was Illustrator though I cannot be certain. By then I'd seen it before and dismissed it as "oh that again". The same applied - Cmd Q and reboot = been fine since.
I had installed CS4 on the same brand new machine (no migration so I  know it was a 'clean' machine) just the month before. The CS5 suite was an upgrade as opposed to a new install. I'd not done anything to customise PhotoShop CS4 during the month, as I knew I'd be getting the upgrade and my work was mostly in the other apps.
The other apps in the Premium Suite haven't done this particular party trick to me... yet.
Whether this tells anyone anything, or helps point the way to the 'cocoa event', I don't know, but I thought I'd add my experience just incase it does help. Is there anywhere where this might be recorded? I'm pretty confident with the Mac and happy to supply info.

  • All menu items greyed out when I open a multitrack project

I have been searching for an existing answer to this question, but I am unable to find one. I'd appreciate any help I can get.
When I go to send some clips (one at a time) into Soundtrack Pro, I am unable to send them into a "Pro Audio File Project" (it is greyed out). So, I then send the clip to a "Multitrack Project." Everything appears to be okay, but when I go to take an action, all menu items are greyed out.
    What am I doing wrong?

Hello, did you ever get an answer to this?

  • Premiere Elements 8 new install - all menu items grayed out

New install of premiere elements 8. Installed 8.0.1 patch successfully. Installed Quicktime.
    SYSTEM
    Windows 7 64-bit
    Dell Inspiron 660
    8 GB RAM
1 TB hard drive, 700 GB available after install
All menu items are greyed out except for File | New, Open, Exit and some Help menu items. Will create a project but then does nothing. Reopening the empty project results in Elements/Pro compatibility message. Unusable.

Thank you ATR. I followed your sequence of checks. RESOLVED BY DISABLING PORTION OF AV FUNCTIONS BEFORE LAUNCHING APPLICATION.  Here are the steps.
I had not even tried Premiere Elements Organizer. When I did, it appeared to run fine and actually the AutoAnalyzer Options only appear under its Preferences menu, I later found out. Those options were then disabled with no change to the issue.
I removed and reinstalled the program with an internet connection and McAfee firewall and AV off. And then ran the program with an internet connection.  No change.
I deleted the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file first, and then the whole 8.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. No change.
The program was installed in the default c: drive location so no change there.
The problem went away with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled!. I narrowed it down to what McAfee calls "Real-Time Scanning" under "Virus and Spyware Protection." The level of control McAfee LiveSafe-Internet Security affords under "Real-Time Scanning" is not very detailed. The setting that makes the difference is under "Scan These Files" is "Programs and documents only" instead of the default "All files (Recommended)."
Now going back upstream, I enabled the firewall fully. Firewall makes no difference if I shut it off globally or allow individual program exceptions...it still runs fine. I also enabled all the AutoAnalyzer Options and program still runs fine. Perhaps this is a rabbit trail for non-resource-limited systems.
Hopefully this helps others with the same problem.

  • Firefox 18.0.1 Mac OS 10.6.8: "Services Menu" items no longer available, "No Services Apply" only item showing.

Where have the 'services menu' items gone? How can they be recovered/reinstated? Tried 'reset' ; tried restart -- still no 'services' (e.g. "email address", "open URL").

Thanks, that answer would SEEM to make sense.
But I deleted  all the preference files (not just the one you suggest) and restarted , etc... several times.
End result: Flash CS4 still crashes, if not on opening, then everytime I try to open my old documents and reset the preferences.
I am currently reinstalling my entire hard drive just to try to get CS4 to work again.
I have worked with Flash since 1998, using it professionally for everything from short interactive demos to feature length animated films.
CS4 is without a doubt the most poorly designed, inefficient version I have ever dealt with.
A great and useful animation program was turned into a piece of bloated garbage filled with bugs and inefficiencies.
I will switch to the first animation program that comes along to replace it, now that adobe seems to think the only real use for flash is to create low level acton scripts (despite being used for tv show level animation production for years.)
These forums amply demonstrate that adobe has almost no useful support for its products and no real vision or idea of what it is doing.
The fact that you can no longer even export flash as a quicktime movie that actually accurately plays is another nail in the coffin.
I wish somebody at Adobe cared.
