Application builder  icon disappeared from database home page

i am wondering , is APPLICATION BUILDER ICON removed from database home page of all users or just mine. please i need help here..

Do you mean the icon display, or the ability to use the app identified by the icon?
(If just the display (it shows the empty box), there is a known problem with some images appearing broken. In which case, you can try forcing a reload form the server by adding a 'Shift' to your reload command (eg: use Shift-F5 in I.E. or Shift-Ctrl-R in Firefox)

The You Tube launcher app has disappeared from my home screen. How can I reinstate it?

The YouTube app is not included in iOS 6. You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version and there is Jasmine), or try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

    Try a reset ...
    Reset the device:

Any ideas how I can solve this?

From you home screen, swipe down on the middle of the screen in order to get the Spotlight Search feature to appear at the top. Type in the name of the app. If the app appears in the search - tap on it and it should launch. After it launches, double tap the home button and close it. This explains how to close it.

After you close tha app, see if it shows up on one of your screens. If it still doesn't appear, reboot your iPad and then see if it shows up.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • X5-01.Application manager icon disappeared from th...

Hi, I have a problem. I just bought my X5-01 last night. After installed some software and games I noticed that I can not find the application manager anywhere in the menus. But it is still accessible after I set a short cut for it in stand by screen. So that's mean the application manager is available in my phone, just the icon is not there. If there any fix for this problem without hard reset the phone? Thank you.

Ok then I would recommend reviewing your installation logs to determine the root cause of your installation difficulties.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.
Please feel free to post to this discussion any specific errors you might have questions on.

Now I installed APEX 3...latest version , the database page has now changed to APEX , Oracle Application Express page.
Also the http://.../apex/apex_admin .. is working, but I dont know where to find the Administration page of Database , which lets creation of database users & tables

    Hi
If I understand you problem correctly then you go to Database Homepage, and login using sys/system you can see the homepage with the icons for 'Application Builder', 'SQL Workshop', 'Utilities'.
Here clicking on 'SQL Workshop' you will find 'Object Browser', 'Sql Commands', 'SQL Scripts' and 'Query Builder'.
You can create database objects by entering sql commands in 'Sql Commands' or from the 'Object Browser'->[Create] button.

  • XE Database home page gone after APEX 3.2 upgrade

I just upgraded the version of HTMLDB/APEX on my XE database from 2.0 to APEX 3.2. All went well, however, the database home page seems to have disappeared. When I go to Start|Programs|Oracle Database 10g Express Edition|Database home page, I now get the APEX start page. Does the upgrade blow away the Database Home Page?

    Hello:
This is expected. If you decide to upgrade the Application Express within your Oracle Database XE, you will lose the Oracle APEX interface to perform some of your database management functions. This includes the ability to create and alter users, set database parameters, etc. To perform these functions, you will need to use either SQL Developer or SQL*Plus.http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/html/3.0.1_and_xe.html

  • Database Home Page/ APEX

I have Oracle Express Edition 10.2.0 in my PC, and I installed APEX 3.1. Now, when I try to open the Ex. Edition Data Base Home page http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex, it comes the Apex login page with Workspace, Login informations. In fact I would like to see the home page with Application Builder Icons, Database Administrative tools icons.
How do I do that? What went wrong here. Note: OS: XP Pro.

I read the "How to Upgrade" section under "Interface Differences between Oracle APEX 2.1 and 3.0.1", and came to know that the Workspace = dbuser name in XE to login into XE. But now, after selecting "Login", the page doesnt refresh, on the bottom left corner, I could see "Error on page". I am not familier with Web technologies :-). Please advice.

  • Cant acces database home page

    hey !
recently i installed oracle 10g express using the debian package (oracle-xe_10.2.0.1-1.0_i386.deb) using ubuntu software center !! it showed application installed succesfully !! but i cant open the database homepage in the application menu !! when i click that icon, it just opens my browser and not that required database home page !! :((
any help is welcomed !! thanks in advance !!

Your database may not be started, of if you are trying this remotely then your firewall might be blocking network traffic.
I think the command to start the database is "/etc/init.d/oracle-xe start", but there should also be appropriate menu option in the Applications menu of your Desktop interface.
but you might get a better answer from the 10g XE forum: Oracle Database Express Edition (XE)
or here: Oracle 10g Express on Ubuntu 10.10 AMD 64-bit howto

  • Cannot View Database Home Page After Upgrading to XE 3.2 on Windows XP

    Hi all,
I have recently upgraded from APEX 3.1 to APEX 3.2 on my Oracle 10g XE database running on Windows XP SP3.
Unfortunately after successfully completing the upgrade and starting the services when I try and visit the Start -> All Programs -> Oracle Database 10g Express Edition -> Go To Oracle Database Home Page I am receiving a page cannot be found error (or broken link message, depending on the browser I try IE7, Firefox 3.0.10 or Chrome 2.0).
The link I am being directed to is:
http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex (I have an entry in my Hosts file referring this to localhost).
How can I tell if Port 8080 is still open and accessible? I am using the embedded web pl/sql gateway and tried reconfiguring it again by running apxconf.sql as SYS:

    Hello Roel,
Thank you taking the time to reply.
I had previously tried all those url combinations and still no luck.
I also found out about displaying the HTTP port number. And you were right it was listening on the default 8080. I disabled it and re-enabled it on port 9080 to see if that made a difference but it didn't so I decided to remoce Oracle XE database and go through the reinstallation and subsequent upgarde to APEX 3.2. Everything appera sto be working fime now.
One point of note is that if I view the Listener status now I notice another line from what I had previously referring to the HTTP listener, although my listener.ora file never changed (apart from having the TNS Listener port resuming to the default 1521).

Can anyone answer why this may have been omitted previously? Presumably this is why my browser couldn't render anything from APEX.

  • URGENT! MAJOR PROBLEM! Application Builder ICON - I CANNOT SEE?! WHY?

    Hello,
I have just installed XE and I cannot see the Application Builder Icon on the Home Page!? Please help...do I have an old version perhaps?
    Kind Regards,
    Kajani

    Hi Kajani,
which user do you use to log in?
Is it SYSTEM or a user called TEST? It won't work with either one, since those are internal accounts which don't provide the application builder.
You have to create a new user and log in as this new user.

I do not see the Go To Database Home Page selection.
1 Logging in as the Database Administrator
The first thing you need to do is to log in as the Oracle Database XE
    Administrator. Follow these steps:
    1. Open the Database Home Page login window:
    ■ On Windows, from the Start menu, select Programs (or All Programs),
then Oracle Database 10g Express Edition, and then Go To Database
    Home Page.
    ■ On Linux, click the Application menu (on Gnome) or the K menu (on
KDE), then point to Oracle Database 10g Express Edition, and then Go
    To Database Home Page.
    2. At the Database Home Page login window, enter the following information:
    ■ Username: Enter system for the user name.
    ■ Password: Enter the password that was specified when Oracle Database
    XE was installed.
    3. Click Login.
The Oracle Database XE home page appears.

That is really strange, actually the go to database homepage is going to the application express home page,
    http://peterzyw.spaces.live.com/photos/cns!DF2188D6F941C9F9!918/
If you really cannot see this option, you can try to type the URL of apex and access it
    http://localhost:port/apex
    http://localhost:8080/apex
The go to database homepage menu option should be below the "Run SQL Command Line" .
