Application Components not visible in SAP R/3 tree

Dear All,
We have standalone system and we have installed ECC 6.0 with BI Content. Harddisk is 320 GB with 2 GB RAM. We want to extract the data from R/3 to BW which are on the same system (As ECC 6.0 contains builtin BW).
In RSA1 the application components are not visible in the SAP R/3 tree under datasource tab. When I am replicating the entire SAP data source it is giving shortdump(STORAGE_PARAMETERS_WRONG_SET).
How can I replicate a particular data source to avoid the memory problems because I have only 2 GB RAM.

You can also Replicate a single datasource w/o replicating the App Comp using a FM.

Planning application is not visible in calculation manager

Hi,
I'm novice to EPMA.
I have successfully created and deployed an EPMA application,but when i'm unable to see the application(s) under planning node.
As per my knowledge EPMA application by default deployes in calculation manager,if so why the application is not visible.

The issue is resolved now.
The calculation manager service was set to automatic, set it back to manual and restarted calculation manager service.
It showed the application in calc manager.

Vendor text not visible in SAP R/3

Hello All,
When a purchase order is created in SRM with additional text - ie. Vendor text. ( Either at item or header level) This text is not visible when viewing the purchase order in SAP R/3.Does it not come default ??? i am expecting the text to be reflected In the text tab in the item detail section.
Does it require any BADI or config for the same to reflect in R/3

Hi
You can transfer the long text to the backend through the R/3 backend bbp_po_inbound_badi. Your code must be placed in the BBP_MAP_BEFORE_BAPI method.
Use any of the SRM BADIs :
1) BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI
2) BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW
3) BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK
4) BBP_LONGTEXT_BADI

          We moved our Application from the Implicitly Defined Default Web
          Application which is configurated by the
          weblogic properties to a Web Application. Because we don't want to
          change any URL in our Application, we
          decided to deploy it as Explicitly Defined Default Web Application.
          By this we recordniced that the weblogic.httpd.defaultWebApp property
          worked not that way descibed in the
          Weblogic Documentation. You have to write the path to the WebApp not the
          name!
          So we have the following Entry in the weblogic.properties:
          weblogic.httpd.defaultWebApp=i:/if_home2/web
          This works fine. The Server starts and serves the WebApp the way we
          expected. But wenn we start the Weblogic
          Console the WebApp ist not visible in the "myserver/HTTP/Servlet web
          applications" folder. This one is empty
          now! Previously the "General" Entry for the Implicitly Defined Default
          Web Application was shown here, which
          showed our Servlets and JSP's and their hit count and parameters.
          So there is no chance to monitor the Servlets and JSP's of the default
          Web Application.
          I tried to deploy our WebApp a secound time with
          weblogic.httpd.webApp.OurApp=i:/if_home2/web
          but this create a second independent WebApp. OurApp is shown in the
          Weblogic Console but it does not monitor
          the hits to the default WebApp. So this is not a solution!
          Any idea to make the default Web Application visible in the Weblogic
          Console?


in my development environment i checked in site collection feature, it isn't available in site collection feature but still i am getting those web parts in web part gallery while adding it on page.
Also, in Production environment, feature is available in /templates/features folder after deployment, but not available in web part gallery while adding it on page.
I tried with uploading .webpart file which is available in /templates/features production environment as i mentioned, is running for one web part. Not for second web part and giving me security error.
As, uploading .webpart file is not feasible solution, please tell me how could i do that with .wsp file?
please tell me what could be another workaround.

Custom Components not Visible in the Flex Design

Hi
 I am trying to create a Flex Application to consume a Web service.
 Which DataGrid can i use to get the list of data at runtime.
 The Datagrid component which is available under Controls in the design is displaying 3 columns and 3 rows by default. But if i use this UI element no.rows and coulmns cannot be changed at runtime.
So could anybody advice me which datagrid can be used?
By defalult Flex design has Controls, Layout, Navigators, Charts components
Could anybody tell me whats Custom Component in the design. becoz i cannot see any of the components under Custom folder.
Is it a custom developed one or is it a Default like other components ?
How do I get these components Customer DataGrid, Video Chat, Yahoo Search, Countries By Group etc.
Please guide me...

Virsa application components not found in Visual Admin tool (GRC AC 5.3)

Hi experts,
I have this weird issue. I was trying to run the background job to synch the backend roles, users and profiles in CC. But when I checked the background job deamon through this link
http://209.207.245.71:50000/sap/CCADStatus.jsp , the screen was blink.
I searched and found this note #999785.
When I looked for the " virsa/ccxsysbgear application" through the Visual Administrator, I could not find any of the Virsa components application in our GRC server under this path:
Visual Admin --> cluster tab --> deploy folder --> virsa/* (all components)
We have AE, FF configured and running in our development server. Now I am configuring the CC and found all the virsa application services are missing.
We are implemented GRC Access control 5.3 . Any ideas how to get these components deployed and running in the Visual Admin tool??
Some of the sample deployed components are
1. virsa/ccxsysbgear application '
2. virsa/ccume
3. virsa/AEume
4. virsa/ccxsysbher etc

BSP Application does not launch in SAP R/3 4.7

Hi Experts,
We are trying to create a BSP application in SAP R/3 4.7. We are using the MVC architecture for the same. However, we are failing to launch the BSP pages. When the URL is launced either from SAP or directly in IE, the password prompt appears, after entering the user name and password it reappears again for 3 times and then throws a message invalid user name or password. This happens for all User Names. The passwords are correct though.
We have similar BSP Application in our SAP CRM 4.0 box and it works. I do not have much expertise in BSP, thus would want to know whether there are any BASIS settings that could be required in the system before we proceed. How do we know whether the system is compatible to BSP applications. We have even activated the BSP Application in SICF (Default_host -> SAP -> BC -> BSP -> SAP -> <BSP Application Name>). The current Support Pack version on the system are as follows,
SAP_BASIS Release 620 SAPKB62065; SAP_ABA Release 620 SAPKA62065.
Even if we try to launch the standard example BSP applications in the box, even they do not launch. The same problem appears. Do we need to make changes to User Roles level? All these user IDs have SAP ALL access though.
Please let me know how can I sort this out. Also let me know if you would need any further details.

Hi Subbie,
in transaction SICF navigate to the service default_host->sap->public->ping. Right-click and select "Test Service". If this works then the BSP runtime is working okay.
Then navigate to the service sap->bc->bsp->sap->sbspext_htmlb and try the same there. On this service you will need to enter a username and password.
If all this works then you need to look clser at what you are doing.

All document types not visible in SAP EasyDMS

We have configured a no. of document types in DMS ( in SAP R/3). But only a few of those are visible in the SAP EasyDMS ( Web GUI). We are not able to figure out how to make those visible. I am completely new to EasyDMS. Can anybody help?

Work item text not visible in SAP inbox

Hi All,
I have used standard task in custom workflow.
On triggering task, workitem text maintained for workitem is not triggered under title colum in SAP inbox.Instead, workitem name is visible in Inbox.
Can you please guide how workitem text would be triggered?

There is no need to trigger it and it will be populated in the workitem created as part of the task.

CAF-Application Service not visible in GP

Hi ,
I've created a composite appliocatioon service which contains an entity service and an application service.
After deploying, I also tested it successfully.
Now I want to use this service in callable object in GP.
But I'm not able to see the application service there.
My application is visible there, but next two column(Service name and method name) remains blank.
Wat I've read from tutorials is that only application service can be used in GP.
It is showing service name and method name for caf.core and caf.tc,but not for my application.
Can anybody tell me the reason what is the possible cause for that ?

I have already tested the service by the procedure you have mentioned.It is working fine from service browser window.
Is there anything else need to be done to use that service in CAF GP(some configurations etc)?
While creating CO, it is showing the service name and methods for caf.core but not for my Application.

SP-Status of Software components not visible in Maintenance Optimizer

1.     I have created a Server, Database, Systems for an Nw2004s Enterprise Portal server. That is the main relevant component is Enterprise portal
2.     Then I assign the system to the logical component as a production system to the SAP Netweaver Portal Server(System Groups and Logical components-> Logical components-> SAP Netweaver-> Enterprise Portal-> SAP Netweaver Portal Server
3.     Then I added the same logical component to Solution created earlier in Solution landscape(System Groups and Logical components->Solution Landscape->MySolution
4.     This listed my EP system in MySolution->Operation->Change Management->Support Package stack
5.     I could able to see the System name and its Product version
But I am not able to see SP-Status of Software components when I expand the node.
It seems that Solution Manager was not able to read the software component data from the from my remote Enterprise Portal server. It was not in sync with Remote portal server. I tried to use SMSY_SETUP (Automatic DataTransfer) using both TMS/RFC and SLD. But there is no result
Can any body tell me how to make remote server sync with Solman?

Hello Arati,
In transaction RZ70 do you have the Solution Manager correctly defined as host/service for SLD bridge ? Also schedule job here, start data collecting and don't forget to activate current configuration. Also check transaction sldapicust in remote server is setup correctly and run trans sldcheck to test if everything is working.

Basic hello world application is not running in SAP hana Studio

I have successfully added the SAPUI5 development toolkit on my Hana studio (ver 1.80.3) and i created the sample hello world project as per the sap Hana developer guide (SPS08) but while the run the application using web app preview it showing a empty page.Please guide how the run the SAPUI5 application on hana studio as well as please provide some sample code to understand in a better way.
Note : Right now i can able to run as a html but not web app preview
