Application Downgrade

When I start my Blackberry desktop software and go into applications,  I am told that I need to Downgrade my 7.0.1 core application. I have no choice in this as when I add or remove an APP it does this for me.
However when I go into appworld it tells me that I need to upgrade to my new Blackberry ID, this is what I have just been told to remove in the desktop software.
Every time this happens,
Any help please

On your device if you are already having OS 7.1 then just ignore this downgrade option that BB Desktop Software prompts, Or as suggested Uninstall any OS Pack from your PC if you want to get rid of this prompt. To know our current device OS : For OS 6 – 7 = Options > Device > About Device Version > first set of numbers on the third line

If you have Installed the recent version of BlackBerry World then it need the latest version of Blackberry ID software , so you must have to Update your BlackBerry ID software . You can open BlackBerry World it will also prompt to install the latest BBID software , Or Simply From your Homescreen Go to Options > Device > BlackBerry ID = If prompts Login , within that screen Press the menu key > Click on Check for Update, It will update your BlackBerry ID software .
Good luck.

  • Reconnexion of two isolated master environments: election fails

First some details about my configuration:
    * Berkeley DB 4.7.25, no patches applied
    * Replication enabled, two sites on two different servers
    * Using the base replication API, not the replication manager
Initial state is: two servers up and communicating (let's say S1 and S2), one BDB environment on each server, S1 is master and S2 slave.
Then the Ethernet interface is stopped on S2.
Loss of connectivity detection occurs on S1 and S2, S2 triggers an election (not needed on S1), determines it's alone, becomes master.
Then the Ethernet interface is restored on S2.
Connectivity between the 2 servers is detected at both sides, the two isolated "partitions" have to be merged. Election triggered on both sides: nsites=2, nvotes=0 (thus nvotes=2).
I never succeed in making the election process successful. It appears that the two election "gen" numbers differ between the two servers (here, gen(S2) > gen(S1)), and that makes S1 always raise "DUPMASTER", triggering again an election, while S2 may miss one vote in its election process, and also fails electing a master.
Of course, the sequence of events may differ from time to time, but even in case of one environment winning the election, the other environment never succeed in synchronizing with the master.
The only work-around I found so far is to dynamically close both environments when a merge has to be done, remove the files "__db.rep.egen" and "__db.rep.gen", and re-open them. It's always successful.
    Thanks for your help.

I have several questions to ask. Do you ever call rep_start with DB_CLIENT after
the isolation is complete and communication is restored? If you call rep_elect
while a master, it will send out a message asserting its mastership. From your
description that is what S2 is doing, and S1 raises the DB_REP_DUPMASTER error.
Even at that point, S1 should both return the DB_REP_DUPMASTER error as well as
broadcast out a DUPMASTER message, and therefore S2 should receive that
and return the DB_REP_DUPMASTER error. At that point, the application at
both sites should call rep_start(DB_CLIENT) and then call rep_elect again.
Is your application downgrading and then calling an election in this case?
You should not ever remove the __db.rep files yourself.

  • XtremeMusic can decode DTS Master HD!

    First, sorry for my English.
I have an OEM version of PowerDVD with BluRay suport. I set the SPDIF digital output as default in Windows and in PowerDVD setup. And YES, XFI can decode DTS Master HD. I know that some Bluray applications downgrade the sound format (Dolby TrueHD to Dolby Digital and DTS Master HD to regular DTS)?in order to avoid compatibility with externals decoders,?but this not the case. It can't decode Dolby True HD, but god, is DTS Master HD! Try it!
Changing the subject: There are some "new" beta drivers for some cards in the support page. All of them are May 20 tagged but with the same name from the official ones. There's more stability in my system now, but the drivers couldn't all those classical problems. You know.
    Other subject:
Is Creative finishing game support with those Core3D sound cards?
    Good bye.

The extension I have heard of is .dtshd and that works fine with Encore CS6 but you can not add it to motion menu because Encore does not process the any DTS files and adding it to motion menu means the file is subject tp processing.
Even sometimes the DTS-HD file in slideshow might cause problem. Because there is a limit on the bit rate of the slideshow encoding imposed by Blu-ray spec. If the audio file bit rate goes above that then the burning will give error.

That is correct. You must use OS X Recovery to restore OS X in order to reinstall the Mail app.

If you are wondering why you are not getting any responses, it is because you have vented a complaint without any details that make any sense or give anyone something to work on.
If you want help, I suggest actually detailing what has happened, with versions of software etc. Anything that would let us assist.
As a start I am guessing that you have not really got the hang of "How it all works". Firstly download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu. Read that and view the Video Tutorials in the same place. A good addition would be the iWork 09 Missing manual book and something to help you learn how to use your Mac.

  • Many applications not working after Quicktime downgrade gone wrong.

I have: MacBook Pro, OS X 10.4.11, Tiger
After the most recent Quicktime update (I think 7.5), AVI files that were moved or added afterwards would play video, but no audio.
I tried to uninstall Quicktime in order to install version 7.2. I deleted the QT files from the Application and Library folders.
When I tried to install QT 7.2, I kept getting a message that the 7.2 installation couldn't be completed because a newer version was already installed.
I downloaded Pacifist and used it to install QT 7.2 and restarted the computer.
When it rebooted the info that is normally in the upper right side of the screen is gone: the time, airport status, sound status, Spotlight icon, etc. And the Spotlight icon flashes randomly, but nothing happens if I try to open it. Quicktime still wasn't installed and now iTunes won't open, it just has a message saying "The application iTunes quit unexpectedly." Same with MS Word, iCal, GarageBand... The only applications that seem to be working are Safari and TextEdit. But Safari closes and displays the same message when trying to play a Youtube video.
I tried installing Quicktime again, without Pacifist, and it said the installation was complete and restarted. However, Quicktime won't open at all now, the icon jumps in the dock but nothing happens.
I also just found a Leopard installation DVD - if I installed it, would it be like starting from scratch with a working system? Would it wipe out all my files?
    Any ideas?

    To Apple Discussions!
Because QT is intergrated throughout the OS system, you cannot uninstall it completley from the computer. Most Apple application depend on QT in order to function properly.
*The safest way to put things right:*
Do an archive and install of your OS from the OS disc. Stop at the QT upgrade you need and/or want.
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301270 Scroll down to "Archive and Install”
IMPORTANT: Maker sure you select "preserve user preferences and data" when you performed the A&I?
    Good luck

  • Is there a way for me to downgrade from my latest iOS to its original OS without losing the applications?

    Help please. Thank you

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice.

  • The FASFA.edu.gov website for my financial aid will not work with Firefox newer than 4.0. How can I downgrade long enough to complete the application?

I contacted the online help there and was told there is nothing they could do and that I should go find another computer with a less current version of Firefox or IE.!!!! UGH....Government!

Yes as a one off using IE is probably the easiest answer. Another solution is to use Firefox3.6 portable (http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/localization#legacy36 ) . Whilst on Firefox 5 it is worth using the feedback button or link (http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback#sad ) so that the problem is logged.

  • Downgrading from windows 8.1 single language to windows 8

Hi, i want to downgrade my laptop pavilion g6 2231tx from windows 8.1 single language to windows 8 which came in default with my laptop.
My question: since my lappy came pre installed with the windows 8 (64bit) and then got upgraded. So if i refresh my pc via the recovery partition on my HDD will it revert back to win 8 or do i have to use the recovery discs i made and will i lose my entire data on C:
Reason :  i am facing a lot of issues with my laptop recently specially while gaming i never faced any issues with gaming earlier when my lappy was running win 8 no lag or drop in fps as such but since i upgraded (which was against my will as microsoft one fine day decided to throw win 8.1 down on my face) . Some how was able to get the amd radeon switchable graphics back up and running but it seems it has no practical use over there  as such
apart from that my computer  has degraded in performance since i have upgraded i tried to use win 8.1 since the past 1 year just coz it had all my programming IDE loaded and removing it would just be all the more hassel but even those applications have started responding really slow now most just take up hell  lot of load time.
    my system specs are :
2.4 GHz Intel Core i3-3110M processor
    4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7670M (1 GB DDR3 dedicated)
Looking forward to your early replies. thanks in advance

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
I am not going to try and talk you out of doing this -- you are the administrator.
You might be in for a rough ride regardless of which path you take back to Windows 8.
Standard Refresh removes your installed programs and your installed Browsers -- the security programs -- everything that is not "bare bones" -- and that assumes that it will work.
READ please and know what you are trying to do:

The Recovery Partition may -- or may not -- still be in working order.  The Upgrade to Windows 8.1 may have destroyed the Recovery Manager.
Before you do ANYTHING, please back up all your data to an external drive -- back up your most critical data to more than one place, perhaps to a USB drive or to Cloud >> somewhere so you can get to it.
What if your home made Recovery Disks do not work?
You might call HP and see if you can purchase a Recovery Set.  Because you have a working computer right now, you might make the call BEFORE you take apart your Operating System.

  • Email Setup Application Does Not Work After Update

I seem to be having the same problem as others with the email setup application.
When I updated my Blackberry to the new OS6, I went to my email setup and it said "looking for updates"
It finds a new update from my already installed email setup app 6.0.0 to the new 6.11.0419.0755.
When I click "download" it says replace existing version? I click "yes"
The it says: "com.rim.bis.client" contains a different version of module "net_rim_bis_client" which is also used by email setup application. If you proceed, "email setup application" may cease to function properly. proceed?
If I click "yes proceed" it crashes my blackberry and it will not reboot and I have to do a complete hard reboot, wipe the device and reload everything from my backup on blackberry desktop.
If I click "no" not to proceed, I cannot open the email setup application.
I have tried downgrading to version 5 of the OS, I have rebooted with a battery pull, crashed my blackberry twice and spent hours reloading all my applications and systems.  I am at the end of my rope, and I don't know what else to do?!
If there was a way to turn off the automatic search for updates on my device under the setup and email settings, i think I would be able to set it up in the older version 6.0.0
    HELP.

    yep same problem here
i had this problem and got a replacement handset.
i have had to do an update and got the same issue yet again.
The funny thing is, is when i got my new handset i had to run the email setup application and it worked fine.
now its failed and i have to boot in safe mode and wipe etc.
Will someone sort this out???!! O2, Blackberry whoever. Shambles!

  • Mid 2010 Macbook Pro (7,1) - Downgrading from Mountain Lion (10.8.3) to Snow Leopard

    Hi everyone!
I am looking for some help with downgrading my macbook pro from ML back down to SL. I'll start off with some information about my case:
I bought this computer mid 2010 - I believe in July, if that matters. It is a Macbook Pro 7,1 model. The computer came with two disks, one being the Snow Leopard 10.6.3 install dvd, and the other being the applications install dvd. I do still have these dvd's, sitting beside me as I type this. Just like many others, I upgraded my computer to Lion, and from there went to Mountain Lion. I have been on Mountain Lion for several months now, currently running 10.8.3. I know a lot of you out there are disappointed with this OS, and many have experienced significant adverse effects on the overall performance of their computer. That being said, I also know that a lot of you have not had these sorts of issues running the OS. As you can tell, I mysef fall into the first category, as I have not had the greatest experience with it. It just seems to tire out my computer at activity levels which, on Snow Leopard, would not be problematic. I say tire out here in that my computer will overheat, slow down, and even sometimes crash (the crashes primarily begin with the spinning rainbow wheel, attempts to quit / force quit the applications I am running, followed by complete and utter frozenness). When this happens, I have no choice but to press the power button until the computer shuts off, then I restart, occasioanlly taking multiple attempts because of kernel panics the first one or two times. Who knows why this happens...I upgraded my RAM a couple months ago from 4GB to 8GB, which has seemed to help some but not fix the problem entirely. So, I have been wanting to downgrade back to Snow Leopard.
Ok so, I have made multiple attempts at this. For starters, I can tell you that the computer simply will not boot from the Install DVD (it is the one which came with the computer, not a retail version or anything like that). Additionaly, I cannot restore the SL DMG file from the dvd, neither to my hard drive nor to a USB drive. Because of this, I ended up trying this: I downloaded the snow leopard installation files (I believe just the content of the DVD ripped from the disc) via a torrent. I then got a 16 GB USB flash drive, wiped and formatted it (Mac OS Extended (Journaled)), and copied to the USB drive the install file I downloaded. I'll also note that I have done the same thing for Mountain Lion, copying the install file from the app store to a separate 16 GB USB drive. Ok, onto the results of my attempts at downgrading:
Each time I have tried to downgrade, I have taken the following step:
    1) Power down the computer
    2) Insert Snow Leopard USB drive
    3) Boot up the computer, holding the option/alt key
    4) Selecting the Snow Leopard USB drive
-It would successfully boot from the USB, and would bring me to the language selection window, as expected
    5) After selecting English, the window gives me the option to continue with the install, or access any utilities, and I would go to Disk Utility
    6) I selected the internal drive in Disk Utility (the whole drive, not the indented partition), and I went to the partition tab, partitioning the drive to have 1 partition, Mac OS Extended (Journaled), erasing the current partition
**Note: I have not tried this, but I feel like maybe If I were to first Erase the drive, opting to zero out all data (1 pass) in the security options, then partition the drive the same way as I did in step 6, perhaps the installation would go smoothly without returning any errors...thoughts?
    7) After step 6, I would return to the install os x window and begin installation of snow leopard.
-Every time I have done this, the install has returned an error about mid-way through, and I would be prompted to restart and try installing again
    8) Now having a non-booting computer, I would end up powering down, swapping out the snow leopard usb with my mountain lion usb, booting from that, partitioning the drive the same way as before, and reinstalling mountain lion
-This beings me back to square 1. A working, booting computer on Mountain Lion...
I believe that my issues surrounding the use of my install dvd (that came with the computer) are caused by a bad optical drive. When in mountain lion, if I insert the dvd, it will read it, but it will do so very slowly. For example, after inserting the dvd and the install os x window coming up, if I select optional installs or instructions, each of these folders would open, but take a very long time to display their contents. It also is a struggle to get the disc to eject in this situation.
So, if anyone has had a similar situation and came out on top, I would truly appreciate your help!
    Thanks guys,
    Nick

  • Downgrade form 10.7 to 10.6 (Mid 2009 MBP)

Ok, I wan't to be very clear about this before I make any decisions because I am a video editor, have lots of footage, deadlines etc.
I upgraded to 10.7 on my mid 2009 mac book pro a couple months ago, ever since then, it has been extremely slugglish (final cut pro runs at 150 percent cpu, as do other processes like kernal task, safari plug in, any game, etc.)
I've done a few back ups while on Lion unfortunately, so does this mean that I can't erase my drive and reboot with snow leopord with lion back ups?
If so, how can I go back, look at previous back ups, and tell if one is snow leopord or not?
I have an external 2 TB drive that i can just drag all my user files to, and as for applications I guess I could just re install.
But files like .fcp (final cut pro project files) that I worked with on lion, will those work once I downgrade to snow leopord?
I've taken the computer to apple, they said nothing is wrong with it at all and it must be the operating system , i'e heard countless similar stories of mid 2009 mbps not being able to handle Lion.
I have a 3.3 GHz processor, and 8 gigs of ram, there is no reason that my computer should be freaking out like this and going slow, its put my work at a stand still, please help!

If the backups you did are bootable clones, any one can be used to restore the old system back into the internal drive. Else you will have to dig out the SL install DVD and start with a fresh install of both the system as well as all the applications.
You can tell if a bootable system is found in a drive by plugging it in, turning it on and opening System Preferences / Startup Disk. If the drive pops up in the list, it has a system and it will tell you what it is.

Do you have a time machine backup? If you do, then you can!
    1- Uninstall iphoto 11.
Open finder. Go to your application folder. Drag iphoto to the trash. Delete iphoto icon form the dock (drag it out of the dock).
    2- Reinstall iphoto 09
Open your time machine backup. Navigate to the application folder and find iphoto. Copy it.
Open finder, navigate to *+_your computer_+* application folder and paste it.
    3- Restore your iphoto library
    a- Open Finder go to "+your username+"/Pictures
b- Drag "iphoto Library" to the trash. Enter your password if asked. That will delete the iphoto library created by iphoto 11.
c- Now on your *+_time machine backup_+*, navigate to the same folder (Pictures), copy "iphoto library" (this is your old library created by iphoto 09).
d- Now open Finder go to "+your username+"/Pictures and paste "iphoto library there.
Go to your application folder and launch iphoto.
Locate the iphoto icon on your dock.
Right-click on it, select option, keep in dock.
*+Very important! Any pictures added after upgrading to iphoto 11 will be gone! If they are very important and you don't have them saved anywhere else, please don't follow this procedure.+*
I hope It's not too confusing.
