I have another kind of problem with Firefox
    == Description

While browsing pages through Firefox it comes up with a new window error pop up. Two of the tabs show this message - Index of file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/ and a third tab says problem loading page. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox on several occasions and this has not fixed the problem. I run an XP environment and have Trend Micro virus protection. This has only began occuring since updating to the latest version of Firefox. I have copied and pasted all the data that comes up on the first 2 tabs into the troubleshooting information field.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • Adobe PDF Document error pop ups while web surfing

I have a strange issue with either Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat. Randomly while looking at websites or loading a website an Adobe error pops up that says, "The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and try agian."  Then after hitting OK a couple times a blank PDF pops up. After closing it another PDF file pops up. Finally after closing the second PDF window does it go away.
Adobe isn't even open when it happens. Also it happens when just clicking MSN on the favorites. Not even trying to open a PDF in Adobe, and yet this error shows up.
Please help me because I am very confused by this issue.

Chrome uses its own PDF viewer, not the Adobe Reader plugin.
Either use a browser that uses the Adobe plugin, or configure Chrome to use the Adobe PDF plugin: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html

  • - Mail error pop ups -

I keep getting Mail pop ups saying my POP server incoming rejected password. Please re-enter password or cancel.
I have several Mail accounts, and these messages will pop up on any one of them from time to time. Been happening quite frequently of late. I quit Mail & re-open, sometimes I have to do it twice, usually corrects the problem.
What's going on here? Is there a malware looking for this info? If my server was causing this, why does it correct itself after quit/re-open?
    Thanks!

I've been getting something like this also - Sophos in fact detected and removed some sort of malware (I deleted it from quarantine so don't remember what it identified), but I'm still getting the pop up when using Apple mail. Doesn't happen when using Gmail.

  • I can't reset Safari. I keep getting 404 error pop-ups

    I can't reset Safari. I keep getting 404 error pop-ups

Force quit Safari and relaunch it while holding down the shift key.

  • Suppress error pop-ups

is there a way to suppress the LV error window that pops up, for example, when you select Cancel from a file dialog. I don't want the error dialog to pop up telling me I have error 43 if the user clicks cancel. I don't want anything to happen in that instance.
    Thanks

Sorry, I should have mentioned this before but the first thing you will want to do when editing these VIs is first save them to a different directory (not the VI.lib folder) with a different name. This way if you make a mistake and save it you will always still have the original VI showing up on your palette. I have attached a modified version of the "Write to Spreadsheet File.vi" (one of the VIs that will display a pop up message). You can compare it to the one that comes off the palette. I replaced the "General Error Handler.vi" with an Error Out cluster. Now an error is still generated but it won't bring up the dialog box.

  • Disable/Hide Data connection error pop ups in InfoPath 2010

    Hi All ,
I am trying to hide/Disable Error Messages Shown by data connection error. I do not want user to see the error , rather I would check through rules and query the Data source again.
Is this scenario possible at all.
For ex: I have a data connection to user profile server , if it gives and error on form load , I do not want to see the error popup instead i will query the data connection again.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Nandini

    Hello,
what would you expect to change between the first call to the data connection and the second call?
How would you "check through rules"?
I don't think the error message can be suppressed. If you don't want to query the data connection on form load, untick the box in the data connection settings.
    cheers, teylyn

  • Every time I try to open Firefox, a "firefox.exe-application error" pops up and say the memory cannot be written. WHY?!

stupid error. its annoying. i want mozilla, not IE.

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.<br />
Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

  • Import Error - pop ups not supported

    http://www.mj12games.com/starmada/shipbuilder.xlt
On this excel spreadsheet, there is a section where you input a value by choosing a menu that pops up. Does Numbers not support this feature at all?

Given the extension name, I assume that the sheet is an Excel 11 one.
If I am right, you got a designed behavior:
    /* Excel 11 Importer */
    "Pop-up menus in cells weren\\U2019t imported. The cell values were retained." = "Pop-up menus in cells weren’t imported. The cell values were retained.";
It seems that Numbers developers didn't get the way to decipher these items.

  • Explorer.exe application error "Memory could not be written" ?! OS seems stuck now

(Model # m6-k010dx) My new laptop after 13 months automatically updated from windows 8 to 8.1 after I had said 'no' as many times as it allowed. After the update my files are still on it and most things are there but it seems 'stuck' and the orange screen keeps flickering like start to desktop so fast you usually can't even click anything in time to open it before it switches. I was told that the drivers probably needed to be updated first (eventhough I am pretty sure I kept up with all my other updates that popped up the only one I postponed was 8.1) and that I should refresh it, so I lose my programs but keep my files. I'm so sad I now lost Photoshop cs6 and my prefered antivirus (webroot) But anyway back to 8.0, it functioned fine aside from annoying pop ups to install norton antivirus no thank you, i bought webroot again. no updates were available.
I went to HP.com drivers update, searched for my pc and its correct update, and next thing I know is it's installing windows 8.1....??!
So again when it's 'done' and reboots, the screens flicker forever. I shut down, restart, same. so I put it back to windows 8...it will install 8.1 on its own any day now.. Please help asap!!!
Also forgot to mention when the screens are flickering, a few explorer exe application errors pop up on occaision. IE: "the instruction at 0xaa0c663c referenced memory at 0xaa0c663c. The memory could not be written. Click ok to terminate the program." was one the last time,
and the time before it, the initial windows 8.1 update when I still had Webroot antivirus, the pop up said "the instruction at 0x9b63663c referenced memory at 0x9b63663c. The memory could not be written. Click ok to terminate the program." the other pop ups the initial time came from Webroot - IE: "This file is trying to install itself to start every time the computer turns on  C: /Windows/system32/DrvInst (dot) exe" and gives the options to block, allow once, or allow always.
Another trying to install every time computer starts is "C: /WINDOWS/system32/wbem/WMIADAP (dot) EXE"
and another is : "Process ID: 4244
    Thread ID: 3460
    Event Type: Registry
    Access: Write
    Registry Key: /REGISTRY/MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Services/NDIS/IfTypes/131
    Value: IfUsedNetLuidIndices"
I searched all of those but found nothing. How can I have a smooth update? THank you in advance

    Hi @ASAP666 ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP ENVY m6-k010dx Sleekbook and trying to update to Windows 8.1. Before updating did you make sure your system was up to date with Windows. Here is something from Microsoft that might help.
Looking into this I have found that it is a driver issue usually associated with USB devices.
Please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, as these could cause some issues.
Plug the power adapter directly into a functioning wall outlet. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.
I recommend to do this update to disable your Anti Virus or Webroot temporarily to allow the update to go through.
Please let me know how this goes.
    Thanks.

  • Error pops up during instillation Mobile TV Nokia ...

Hi, I have a problem I bought the SU-33W receiver into Mobile TV DVB-H. When you download from the nokia mobile tv application error pops up and download the installation again. Does anyone know the answer to my problem.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi robson73o1,
Mobile TV services may only be available upon subscription.
For the mobile TV network coverage, the availability and costs of the services and instructions on how to access the services, contact your service provider.
If you do not have access to a mobile TV service, make sure you have a valid subscription to the service and that you are in the coverage area of the service.
In some countries, owners of a television receiver are required to pay a television licence fee.
For more information, contact your local authorities
    Hope this helps,

  • Push notification pop ups

I own an iPhone 4 and on it I have a number of applications. Recently, upon going into these applications a pop up regarding "Push Notifications" appears.
This informs me to connect to iTunes to enable these notifications. In certain applications these pop ups fail to disappear once I press "Ok", they simply reappear  second later, therefore making the applications impossible to use. Since this happened I cannot receive notifications of Facebook messages etc.
I have already connected to iTunes in an effort to get rid of these pop ups but it has not helped. I have also tried turning off the Notifications in my Settings, deleted and re downloaded the apps, updated my software and reset my entire phone but nothing has helped.
I would greatly appreciate a reply/ advice as how to combat this problem as it is now incredibly frustrating to use my phone .
    Regards

I have had the same problem and what I have found that you can do is:
Settings->Notification centre->select app->choose none at the top and scroll down and choose to not show in notification centre
This us the only thing I have found that you can do and it seems to stop them coming through for me!
    Hope this has helped you

  • Annoying mail app "can't connect" pop ups

Whenever I have bad 3G signal and I open the mail app I get lots and lots of network error pop ups from each of my email accounts. They are really annoying. Can they be turned off? Could Apple eliminate them definitely? Please!

Remember - these accounts are working over SSL with Thunderbird and in Mail.app on an old machine that I just set up mail on after these problems began. That said, the exact message for the SMTP connections is:
Could not connect to this SMTP server. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the Account preferences. Also verify that the server supports SSL. If it does not, deselect the "Use SSL" checkbox in the Advanced tab of Account
