Application Explorer - Not Loading To System Tray On Login

Hi,
We are getting users logging into their computers in the morning, and finding that the Novell Application Explorer is not loading into the Windows system tray.
Manually running the program does not work, only a reboot seems to cure the issue. Any thoughts?

No idea why, but you may want to try ...
Killing Explorer.exe and then Trying to Run the NAL Explorer.
NAL Explorer hooks into Explorer.exe in a fashion that a hook remains
even after killing NAL Explorer.
This hook may be having an issue so NAL Explorer can't start or restart
properly until Explorer.exe is restarted.
Again, not a fix, but may be quicker than a reboot if it helps.

KDE 4.8.0 upgrade - application icons not showing in system tray

I updated to KDE 4.8.0 through pacman yesterday, and I noticed that system tray is not working as it should. Icons for some applications do not show, while other work OK.
For example, Akregator icon appers in tray, while icons for Skype, AppSet or the Java application I'm developing do not. I notced that notification ballons for these apps pop up at upper left corner, instead of lower right.
Anybody got some idea what might be wrong? Maybe QT version issues?
One more question: how can I bring up these application windows when they do not show in tray?

My latest MVC 5 project built with VS 2013 compiled and works fine on my PC but can not be published to server using command line aspnet_compiler. I kept getting the web.config(132): error ASPCONFIG: Could not load type 'System.Data.Entity.Design.AspNet.EntityDesignerBuildProvider'
In my web.config file, I have the following as suggested by many for solution:

"Could not load the system tables" when installing the MAXDB DB instance

We have an error when we are installing the MAXDB 7.5 for Netweaver 04's Unicode Kernel.
The central instance is installed, but when we launch the DB Server, in the step 14/25 Activating the DB, the follow error ocurrs.
"ERROR 2007-03-12 11:44:21

the file dbm.ins is not found, but the file dbm.prt have:

Internet explorer not loading entire web pages

I am having an issue with internet explorer only loading certain parts of select web pages, like espn fantasy football etc. Sometimes the information shows up but does not seem to be formated correctly, the information is low on the page and cannot read certain things. Can anyone help

In addition to what Ron JACKLE & Elizabeth already stated, because IE is no longer supported, you should be using the latest version of IE:
Internet Explorer 5.1.7 for Mac OS 8.1 to 9.x
Give it loads of memory. 300% is strongly recommended as it is memory starved.
Because IE is no longer supported & if you wish to continue using it, you will need to babysit it and give it TLC & do a voodoo dance every week to keep it running smoothly. This is the main reason why I got rid of it. I don't have time for this BS.
Once a week in IE Edit>Preferences, delet History, Empty Cache (if you have cable set Cache to 0).
Once a week Go into the system folder>preferences folder & trash the following preferences:
finder
ASLM
PPC Registration Database
Cache.waf-found inside the MS Internet Cache folder
MRJ Cache folder-a new one will be recreated.(If not found go to System folder>Application Support>MRJ Cache folder-trash all you find inside-(DO NOT TRASH THIS FOLDER)
Download Cache-found inside Explorer Folder
Downloads.html-found inside Explorer Folder
History.html-found inside Explorer Folder
Rebuild your desktop w/extensions off. Use Techtool Lite or Trash*Desktop - may delete Finder comments to rebuild your desktop w/extensions off. Does a better job than manually & you avoid all the finger gymnatics. You just have to hold down the shift key to shut off extensions.
Restart to turn the extensions back on again & empty the trash.

If the above does not work, then dump the %#&*X@ & check out other Mac browsers

Garageband 3.01 will not load with System 10.4.4,5 or 6

I upgraded to system 10.4.4 (then .5 and .6) on my 17in POWERBOOK 1.67. What a mistake. Not only does Garageband 3.0 or 3.0.1 not load but the Help feature in every program crashes whenver I try to use it. The BACKUP application for my .mac account also just spins the beachball and quits. I have repaired permissions, rebooted in SAFE mode, tunrned off Log-in items: all to no avail. Any suggestions as to why this systme upgrade screws up several APPLE applications?

Thanks for your suggesitons. Unfortunately none of them solved the problem so I went back to the starting line and reinstalled the original system 10.4 then upgraded to 10.3.9 and then reinstalled Garageband from iLife 06. The application opened. Unfortunately some websites on Safari do not open as usual so it is another round of troubleshooting. Tiger has bitten me once too often. sigh

i would suggest using single user mode.
Restart your computer. When the screen goes black,
hold down the "apple" key and the "S" key until you
get a black screen with white letters. When the
prompt shows up, type this exactly:
/sbin/fsck -fy
Notice the space before the -fy.
If this doesn't work, you should boot from your
system install CD/DVD or most recent OS install
CD/DVD and run Disk Utility to repair the disk and
repair the permissions.

Oracle Forms application is not loading

We have an internal forms application deployed on Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.3
It was working fine till I applied an oracle patch 8374931 today.
After patch application our forms application refuses to load.

Amit.Try with down grade of Mozilla firefox. may be version 6 to 8. not 9/10.
Firefox with 9 and higher doesn't support JRE version 1.6.XX.

KOrganizer icon keeps loading in system tray

I notice that the KOrganizer keeps loading in the system tray whenever I load Kontact. Is there a way to keep that from happening? I don't use KOrganizer, and would rather not waste that space in my system tray.

Mail keeps asking for password and icloud setting do not load in system preferences

I have a mac mini server with mavericks, i have 2 iMacs as clients running mavericks too, when i use iMac (A) mail app and icloud work fine, them i take iMac (B) and mail app start asking for password , it just won't take the password, icloud do not load and cannot use anything else on system prferences because it locks system preferences, i need to force quit system prefrences , so I return to iMac (A) and i get same behaivor as iMac (B), i would appreciate your help for finding a solution for this.
All network users get the same behaivor, local users do not get this behaivor.

I have the same problem. The solution is to log into your client, open Keychain, run Keychain First Aid under file menu. If it fails to find your keychain, note the path, mount the disk that it is looking for, and rerun.
In short, you need to have the disk that your keychain is sitting on mounted. While your user account is mounted, Maveriks cannot match the reference path. Looking like a bug.
Example:
my folder sits on a second disk on server. It is properly setup in the mavericks server.
On the server, it is locally referred to as: /Volumes/my_disk/Users/my_user. I can log in to mail on the server when I log in with my user name.
In the workgroup manager, the same location is referred to as:
afp://my_server.local/Users/my_user (or smb)
/Network/Servers/my_server.local/Volumes/my_disk/Users/my_user
So this is the network path. So the client should be looking for that. But instead, it looks for the local disk, which is not mounted as such. In other words, it looks for:
/Volumes/my_disk/Users/my_user/Library/Keychains
instead of
/Network/Servers/my_server.local/Volumes/my_disk/Users/my_user/Library/Keychains
To eliminate this problem, you mount the volume on the client, so it can find. I will keep the editorial to myself, but this is not quality software.

Application does not load correctly when deploying to standalone server

All,
I have created simple application implementing fusion theme. Applicaiton works fine when I run on integrated server but when deployed on standalone server it does not load any images or the theme itself. afrloop keep incrementing in status bar and ends up with java script error while later.
I deployed another test application on standalone server and that works fine i.e. theme gets loaded correctly. Also, how should I include images on the page? I have a images folder in web content folder but they dont get loaded.

LabVIEW now uses the Microsoft installer. It's possible that you need to upgrade the version that's on the Win2K box. I think the latest service packs from Microsoft include it.

Will you help me with troubleshooting why my applications are not loading and why I'm getting so many fork failures?

I have an iMac, 2.5Ghz i5, 12GB RAM, OSX 10.8.4. Things were working fine, but recently I had to install Java (I had to avert my eyes) because it was needed to use a certain web site. This seemed to be the beginning of my problems, but they were easily fixed by repairing permissions. I typically leave my iMac running until recently I noticed applications weren't loading, but by repairing permissions everything seemed to return to normal.
Then I had to use tech support from another company for a diffferent issue. The techy used GoToAssist Customer so he could access my desktop remotely. The problems began to show up more often. Lots of fork failures and spinning beach balls, and applications weren't launching. Consequently, I logged into a guest account to see if the problems existed in that account - and they didn't, everything worked fine, like a new machine. I have repaired permissions until I'm blue in the face - I even resorted to using Onyx, but that didn't help.
I have since removed Java (I wonder if I should remove GoToAssist), but the problems seem to be getting worse (not better). Before I resort to performing a clean re-install of Mountail Lion (and the headaches that it causes) I thought I would reach out to the community to see if anyone has any suggestions. I have got to do something fairly quickly, I need my machine working tomorrow. I wil be so grateful if you can help me. Luckily, I have ML on a thumb drive so a clean install won't take so long, but I also use Windows 7 with Parallels, which makes it a pretty major hassle. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Icloud application does not load

I have been using two lap tops.. one running windows 7 and the other windows XP.
Regularly I can not access my icloud account -
1. It does not load the application and
2. Unable to access the server
I've looked at all the control panel settings and privacy settings.. but I find nothing. To add to the mystery is .. sometimes it loads just fine.
I am in India and the internet is "wonky" to say the least. That is my default answer but it was so bad this morning that I had to submit the question to see if it is something else in the settings I need to change.
Any insights out there??

I have the same problem. Clicking iCloud in the preference pane results in the follow:
"Preferences Error could not load iCloud preference pane."
I don't use iCloud, and would prefer to completely disable it. However now I am receiving a "log into iCloud" pop up every time I start my computer that is very annoying.
