'Application failed' with Illustrator - then closes

Help. I am using 'Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium' CS6 for my Uni work. Illustrator keeps failing me. It brings up a message that says 'This application failed to initialise properly (0x000012d) Click ok to terminate application' then it closes down. I have uninstalled the whole CS6 program and reinstalled it. But it still keeps doing it. I have opened a file of my work and now it keeps saying that some files are missing and that I need to go to the link panel. HELP!!! I had a It friend look at it but he can't work it out.
I am using a PC.

We are not able to figure out why this is happenig. We followed all the steps as per metalink document 262686.1, but it also was of no use.

Alright, I solved the problem. It seems like the OID is very very very picky with the formsweb.cfg syntax. Especially with the quotes: don't use them!
For example, I had set the oid_formsid & formsid_group_dn values between double-quotes. Removing them fixed the error.

SSO protected Forms application fails with an OID error.

Hello everyone,
I have a fresh install of Oracle Application Server 10.1.2 on RedHat Enterprise Linux 4. No patches were installed yet.
I've setup Forms to use the Single Sign-On server (SSO). Then created a user with a Resource Access Descriptor (RAD) in the Oracle Internet Directory (OID). I can successfully use the Forms application when I'm not using the SSO.
However, problems arise when I set the Forms application to use SSO. Once I get authenticated, the application.log files fills up with the following lines:

I've RTFM a lot about this but I still can't find a way to fix this. I've found some info in Metalink Note 360341.1 "In Getuserid Method: Caught Error When Logging Into Forms With SSO Enabled". Unfortunately, my formsweb.cfg file is already setup as the workaround that it proposes, so that doesn't help.
It seems like the attribute "orclresourceviewers" does not get created when the RAD is generated? One of you (Sandeep I believe) suggested that it may have to do with a lack of an OID Index and that I should use catalog.sh to fix this. I unfortunately don't know how to proceed.
I've also opened a TAR, but Oracle Support doesn't seem to understand what's going on.
Any ideas anyone?

Applications starting with letter S close

I wasn't sure if I should post here but it's definitely a weird problem I have. It's been a month since some of my applications, all starting with the letter S, close right after I open them and I cannot use them, e.g. Safari, Skype, Sherlock, SRSiWow - iTines. After I erased SRSiWow iTunes is working perfectly. I've never heard of such problem nor imagined it might happen.
Any ideas highly appreciated!

As I traced the http transactions, the updater downloaded https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/update/current/install/inline/win/x64/in stall_all_win_ax.z. On one hand, the 7MB file is unable to be opened via most zip utilities. On the other hand, the file seems to be for x64 platform and os per the url but mine is Windows XP. Is it a bug of Adobe?

Batch file application fails to install

We have an SCCM application which fails to install.
It is packaged as a batch file which tuns an installshield exe install then a VBS script to remove unwanted shortcuts. The SCCM application fails with error code 1628 but running the batch file from the ccmcache as administrator it works as intended.
I think the Exe installs InstallShield first and then the application. It looks as though the application install doesn't run with sufficient privileges.

Also, if you want to do this with a script, why don't you wrap the "Salud_1.20.0.15.exe" /z"/q /TSQL /SSALUDTESTDBITS /DSALUD_TEST" command to a single .vbs script that also includes the "deletedesktopshortcut.vbs" ? Doing stuff
in .bat and calling stuff is just bad... Way more cleaner to handle it all in a single script.

Also note that the above handles only the running of your salud... -file, some additional debugging/logging would be good to add.
For the application just configure the install command: "cscript.exe yourcustomname.vbs" and the detection method you have to figure out by yourself.

Since when are you facing this issue? Did you tried system restore to a date before this problem occured.
Does acrobat stop working when you open this specific pdf file or with any pdf file that you open?

Did you change any AppleID accounts or anything? I've seen this happen when changing accounts or certain restore situations.
If you are using iCloud you should be able to reset your phone to Factory Defaults and restore from iCloud, but it always makes me nervous.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

A pop up says that the "... application failed to initialize" and give options to close it or fix it but none work.

While I working with or surfing with Firefox and I stop working for a few minutes, 2 to 5 min, a pop up show up saying that the "application failed to initialize..." It gives two options, to cancel it or fix it. none of then work, and to make the pop up go away I just click the "X" to close it. It works and puts Firefox back to work. Windows Server 2012 - Backup failing with Exchange - The application will not be available for recovery from this backup. the consistency check failed

We have a Windows 2012 server with Exchange 2013, all is working fine except now i am getting issues with the backup.

I have checked the database all is fine, i have created a new db and move all mailbox;s over and then removed the old db, i have enabled circular logging and then disabled it, it seems no matter what i do i cannot get a full backup!
i did have to restore the server once and the backups still worked for about 4 days after that and then stopped, i have also tried to remove and re add the backup role!
i am stumped, any advice would be great!

I've just updated OS to 10.10.1 and Finder keeps trying to open and then closes every 2 seconds with the message Finder is not Available. If Safari is opened full window it immediately closes and will only work with window smaller than maximum.

Could you please try installing Reader again from the below mentioned link:
http://get.adobe.com/reader
Ensure that you are logged in as administrator and anti-virus is disabled as that might interrupt downloading.
Try again and then let me know.
