Hello Anybody,
I am a new iPhone application developer. I have an application that was working perfectly 'Device 2.2 /Debug' mode. So I want to distribute my application base on 'Ad hoc' method. I was followed all apple instruction. At same time , i have another iPhone application its working perfectly for _device 2.2/debug and Distribution_ mode. I follow the same instruction in this application... When i syn my application to iPhone device 2.2 , i got a error message is *The application "my app name" was not installed on the iPhone "my device name" because it could not be verify.*
Please any help for me..... I spent lot more time taken find out the problem ... I failed.....
Could any one help for me step by step explanation .... How to resolve in this issue
Regards,
NalaN.

I found the solution about the issue .
Solution is : Source code is not sign with machine this is a problem
1)In the File Menu, select New File -> iPhone OS -> Code Signing -> Entitlements.
2) Name the file “Entitlements.plist". and click ‘Finish’. This creates a copy of the default entitlements file within the project.
3) Select the new Entitlments.plist file and uncheck the “get-task-allow” property. Save the Entitlements.plist file
4) Select the Target and open the Build settings inspector. In the ‘Code Signing Entitlements’ build setting, type in the filename of the new Entitlements.plist file including the extension. There is no need to specify a path unless you have put the Entitlements.plist file somewhere other than the top level of the project.

  • The application could not be installed on_because it could not be verified

HELP! I download and use free apps all the time, but for paid apps, my mom downloads them off her account, (because you need a credit card) and then I just sync it to my iPod, but for some reason, today I updated "geodefense" and it downloaded no problem. But as soon as I clicked sync and saw the "updating to iPod" the progress bar got to the end and then a message popped up on my Macbook saying that the App could not be installed on my iPod because it could not be verified. So I tried removing it and installing it completely on my iPod again, but the same thing happened and now I don't have the app at all. This is very frustrating for me because it was working fine before and now it isn't.
PLEASE NOTE*** I do NOT have a jailbroken iPod. It is one that I received free from a mac store because my old one had some tech issues with it, so they replaced it.

I have the exact problem with Geodefence, been playing the demo for a while and so i decided to buy it. after downloading on the touch it said i needed to use itunes to load it, strange. i hate using itunes, but i fired it up, did a sync and it downloded but gave me the exact same error you got. why do i need to use itunes? i can download free apps no problem, why cant i buy geodefence too without the stupid laggy confusing pc app.
i guess its time to do a chargeback with visa.

  • IDVD5, "The application iDVD could not be opened because the required ha."

First post in these subject forums. I am posting the same text in iDVD and iMovieHD which were from iLife'05, but I won't post there.
I loaded iLife'05 and also managed to get iDVD5 loaded although the packaging indicated that I needed to have a 733mhz G4 or faster processor and I have a Prismo Powerbook, 500 mhz and it was successful or maybe not.
Then I opened iDVD, I got this Error message..."The application iDVD could not be opened because the required hardware could not be found"...which makes sense as I have an external Lacie (CD-R,-RW, DVD-R,-RAM,-RW,R,+RW,R DL) burner that I bought about a year ago that my wife also uses on her G4 tower.......... and I did not have it connected. So I connected it and when I opened iDVD again and it still reads: "The application iDVD could not be opened because the required hardware could not be found." Shut down and reboot, no difference.
This probably does not have any bearing on the issue but in the System Profiler for "Disk Burning" there is a parameter "Burn Support" which is "Yes (Unsupported)", should this be "Yes (supported)"?
Question #1: Does iDVD5 only work with an Apple "superdrive" or does it work with other third party "DVD burners" ?
So I used iMovieHD from iLife'05 to create a project of an old family vacation (from an old 8mm Sony Handycam) and wanted to create a DVD, for archive reasons and to view on TV with a DVD player, but I could not do anything because of different errors now in iMovieHD.
File > Share...(a window opens and I choose iDVD and then click the "share" button) and this error comes up:
The movie could not be sent to iDVD, because of an unknown error.
"Please make sure that iDVD is properly installed, that your project disk has write permission, and that you have enough disk space. (Error 0)"
Next I tried: File > Burn Project to Disc......and this error comes up.
    No Disc Burning Drive Found
"If you have an apple-supported disc burner, please check your connections and try again."
The project file is 5.89GB and I have 57.97GB free on the hard drive so I don't think that space on the hard drive is an issue.
Question #2: Is the issue of not being able to create a DVD from iMovieHD related to the iDVD issue although the error messages in iMovieHD and iDVD are different?
Question #3: How are Video DVD's from the Hollywood Studios able to make DVD's longer than 2 hours?
Thanks all for your help in advance. John

    Klaus1, thank you.
I will verify again to make sure that I have the correct driver installed for the LaCie drive and I know positively it was connected via firewire.
That being said, after reading a lot of postings on the web, I am getting the impression that these iLife05 applications need a native Apple superdrive on order to burn a DVD. I do not have any other third party apps loaded on it yet it, but I will load some that can burn to a DVD. If I am successful in getting the non-Apple apps to burn a DVD with the LaCie, I will try again with iDVD5 and if I still can't get iDVD to do it, then maybe my assumption would be valid.
    Thanks again!

  • Error -10810 . the application Finder could not be opened

    Hello
I recently (about 2 days ago) updated my early 2008 Mac Pro through the standard software update and since doing so my computer has begun acting like it wants to crawl into a hole and die.
There are a number of issues I have noticed. After using the computer for maybe 10-15 minutes I am no longer able to select any applications from my dock and when trying to access the finder it becomes unresponsive. I can then no longer open any programs and if I am lucky I might be able to close whatever curnent program I am using. Sometimes when I try to open a finder window I get the error message -10810 'The application Finder could not be opened'
for a while I could not empty my trash as well although that now seems to have passed.
image icons for some programs in my dock have vanished but when i hover over the space where the iconused to be the program seems to still be there.
I have no idea when my comptuer might freeze. sometimes it's within 10 minutes and other times it is within 1 minute of starting. It's so bad that since updating my mac 2 days ago I have not been able to shutdown the computer properly and have to hold the power button to turn off.
I have tried doing a disk utility verify and it does not seem to find anything wrong with my hard drive.
can anyone help. It's a pain lugging this thing to my nearest Mac store as I don't have a car.
    I am using OSX 10.6.8
    thanks

10.6.8 means you don't have a Recovery Mode and all the more reason to use CCC religiously to have bootable backups.
CCC can verify the file integrity of every file
It is harder to verify the integrity of every disk block or sector
10.6.8 does not run on PowerMac and Mac Pro is not one of those anyway (the POWER part is IBM or MOTO/Freescale G-series of computers, Mac Pro is "Intel Xeon Inside")
Overdue to a new boot drive. Never apply updates w/o a clone. Updates have gotten better. Lion or ML would provide more security, drops support for PowerPC and Rosetta though if you have to use older programs.
2008 uses FBDIMMs which even with their ECC can have problems (new FBDIMMs are cheaper, $60 4x2GB, better, run cooler, all of which helps). Garbage in / Garbage Out and same somewhat goes for disk drives too.
A good choice today is a SSD of 120-250GB for system ($90-170) and 1-2TB drive for media and data ($90-160)
And don't rule out your graphic card, still using the OEM 2600xt? 8800GT? good time and reason to upgrade.
Need a newer but not newest? OWC has 2009 4,1 starting at $880 used which are less trouble and handle Mountain Lion better. Yet to see what the requirements will likely be for 10.9 when it comes out later.

  • Your computer could not be verified Mac App Store and FaceTime

    Hi All
I've been trying through several forums for a long time to find a solution for my problem before giving up, I'll go down to the point:
I have an iMac Intel 20" early 2008 (I can provide more detailed specs when required). I am using Mac OSX Lion installed from a usb and prior used Snow Leopard. They problem has been consistent thru all versions, same symptoms, same all.
    1. Whenever I try to login to Mac App Store I get the famous: "your computer could not be verified, please contact support for assistance". FaceTime also does not login, promptying a "server error, try later".
    2. Contacted support, and after 16 emails back and forth all I was told at the end was: "I am able to log in into your mac app store account from this side after resetting your account,is there anything I can do for you today".... (!!!!????)
    3. There has been a problem parallel to that, and although I am not sure they are related anyhow I need to point it out. My ethernet port stopped working and there is no way to create any connection through it. I can still use wireless quite well (reason why I still keep my machine). After sending the machine to repairs, diagnose was that it could be a problem on the logic board and to fix it may require to replace LB entirely. So I decided not to go for it and keep the machine only with wireless connection.
So I have tried every single solution found (so far...) on google and forums to no avail: a) deleting .plist, b) resetting network configs and creating new locations, c) resetting PRAMs (not sure if it solve anything, but tried anyway) and others. The problem still persists with the same symptoms.
I can login into iTunes store and buy applications from computer, iPhone and iPad, which makes me think that my credentials are valid, alas, I logged into this forum using them.
I also tried creating a new account at App Store, when I request it through the Application, the "little fan that advises you to wait" appears, but suddenly dissapear with no warning or message at all (!!!!????). It is like you never requested anything in first place.
Obviously I can still use my machine for internet and stuff, but my ability to purchase/use any Apple software is seriously restricted. I cannot purchase any software anymore if AppStore is going to be the main way to acquire it (which I think it will).
    So, my big questions are:
    1) Is this hardware problem (ethernet, logic board, connection ports) remotely related to the machine authentication process when using MacApp Store and FaceTime through Apple?
    2) Is there a way to fix this through software, before I consider replacing the machine? (Please take into account that I have already tried TS1811, deleting .plist files, resetting network, creating new locations from scratch... I basically searched thoroughly on google, forums and tips and tried all reasonable found recommendations before posting).
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks Livia and Huevoos (eggs??) for your interest in this post.
In a nutshell, I haven't been able to solve this. I gave up on Apple support after they proved useless.
As Huevoos suggested, and I confirmed it time and again after browsing thru endless forums, it seems that the user validation routine for the Mac App Store is done by looking into your network settings, which in my case are either incomplete or erroneous due to the broken-down ethernet. (I am still waiting for somebody more experienced in this forum to contradict or explain this).
So, because I still have wireless connection, I can use my machine for day-to-day chores, have not been able to purchase anything up to this date in the Mac App Store though. I'm waiting for either a software update that could correct this (Mountain Lion??? there's no guarantee only hope) or the moment when my machine will need to be replaced by a new one with a functional ethernet.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help. But I'm pretty much in the same situation as you guys.
    Live long and prosper.

    3. Try with a different user account if the issue persists
    If the issue persists
Install Lion onto an empty partition (internal or external).
Note: You can Use Disk Utility to live partition the internal drive and create a second partition large enough to install Lion.
Start from the clean installation of Lion.
Download Mountain Lion from the Mac App Store. Note that the original startup disk can be set as the destination for Mountain Lion during the installation process.

  • The update could not be verified.

Ok this time I hope someone answers instead of just viewing. I have tried numerous lookups, asked questions at various Apple forums.
I cannot download a Software Up date without getting:
The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs.
I cannot get anything, updates, new apps, or the new OS to download without getting  (Mac App Store)
    OS X Mountain Lion error:
The application you tried to download could not be downloaded. Check your internet connection and try again.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY INTERNET CONNECTION. I can upload and download photos, other programs etc without a problem. OSX ML downloaded yesterday. However when it was in the finishing mode would not install.

Really helps to tell us what you have tried that didn't work. We have no way of knowing...
Try turning off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall.
Disable any anti virus software you may have installed before downloading apps.

If I have lost my music collection I will be switching platforms ASAP. It is insane that Apple has updates seemingly every day for their products.

I was in your same situation with 14 downloads and 14 attempts.
You have to make sure that your Mac is booting into 64 bit mode.  You can make sure of this by going into System Preferences and scrolling down to 'Software' and making sure that you are booding with 64 bit Kexts.
If not, restart while holding the 6 and 4 keys down until you see the spinning gear wheel and try installng again.
BUT, what I also did was to go into Applications, click on the Lion installer, Get Info, and give yourself custom priviliges to Read And Write.
I did this simultaneously, and I don't know what function did it, but it worked for me, with no further downloads of the installer.
    Good luck!

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
    Step 1
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kextstat -kl | awk '!/com\.apple/{printf "%s %s\n", $6, $7}' | open -ef
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting. A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. If the command produced no output, the window will be empty. Post the contents of the TextEdit window (not the Terminal window), if any — the text, please, not a screenshot. You can then close the TextEdit window. The title of the window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that. No typing is involved in this step.
    Step 2
    Repeat with this line:
    { sudo launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.(apple|openssh|vix\.cron)|org\.(amav|apac|cups|isc|ntp|postf|x)/{print $3}'; echo; sudo defaults read com.apple.loginwindow LoginHook; echo; sudo crontab -l; } 2> /dev/null | open -ef
This time you'll be prompted for your login password, which you do have to type. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. Type it carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Heed that warning, but don't post it. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.
    Step 3
    { launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.apple|org\.(x|openbsd)/{print $3}'; echo; crontab -l 2> /dev/null; } | open -ef
    Step 4
    ls -A /e*/{cr,la,mach}* {,/}Lib*/{Ad,Compon,Ex,Fram,In,Keyb,La,Mail/Bu,P*P,Priv,Qu,Scripti,Servi,Spo,Sta}* L*/Fonts .la* 2> /dev/null | open -ef
Important: If you formerly synchronized with a MobileMe account, your me.com email address may appear in the output of the above command. If so, anonymize it before posting.
    Step 5
osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of login items' | open -ef
Remember, steps 1-5 are all copy-and-paste — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
    You can then quit Terminal.

  • Lion Install Failing: software could not be verified

The software could not be verified. It may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading.
It took me nearly 7 hours to download this thing so downloading again is not an option.  So is there any way I can fix this?
Here is the error that's being logged in the console when I run the installer:

Of course, /usr/lib/libcsfde.dylib doesn't exist anywhere on my 10.6.8 MacOS installation.
Anyone else run into this problem?

Thanks for the reply.  In another posting, the md5 checksum of a fully downloaded file should be:
         b5d3753c62bfb69866e94dca9336a44a
This is for the installESD.dmg file inside the installer (right-click on "Install Mac Os X Lion" which will be in your /Applications folder after the download (but before the install - will get deleted after the install is complete); select 'Show Package Contents" from the menu; go into "Contents"; go into "SharedSupport"; you'll see the InstallESD.dmg disk image here).
To get the checksum, from Terminal, navigate to the directory (see paragraph above) and run:
         md5 InstallESD.dmg
So I wasted my entire morning trying to figure out why this wasn't working.  How is it that Apple can't inform you that the download didn't complete successfully?!!?  Major $%^& up.

  • Product distribution file could not be verified

    Hi
I keep getting the following message "The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed" whenever i try to update my software.  I've been getting the problem for a while, couldn't find asolution that worked and decided to wait for Mountain and see whether the problem resolved with the install.  It didn't, and still occurs with Mountain Lion.
The strange thing is the App Store on my MacBook Pro works fine, its my iMac that I'm having the problem with.
I have tried the following as suggested on various forums:
    1. open terminal and enter!
    rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
    rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
    rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/
    2. Delete App Store from Applications and reinstall using an update.  Problem was I couldn't delete as it told me “App Store” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by Mac OS X."
    3. Installing Mountain Lion.
Unfortunately the problem still occurs, I'm assuming it is something to do with my iMac as otherwise I would have a similar problem with MBP.
    Suggestions anyone?
    Shane

    Try this..
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
    Click Go
Move the NetworkInterfaces.plist file from the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
    Relaunch the App Store.
