Application Loader Is Now Empty. What Happened?

Hello I finally grew up from windows mobile and went to Verizon and upgraded to a Blackberry Storm 9530. The software in the box was version 4.7 which seems to be the most up to date. I installed it and hooked up my Storm a couple of times and the Application Loader would show everything installed on my Storm. I installed a couple of other apps on the side today without the software and they worked fine. Also, they showed up in the Application Loader with the default loaded software. Tonight I decided to hook the Storm back up to the PC and I went to search for updates for my software. When it tried to download the updates it gave a fatal error and the BB Desktop Manager crashed. My Storm then went to a white screen with a clock and would not response. I had to pull the battery and put it back in to boot my Storm back up. Ever since then when I go to the application loader it only shows the 2 apps I installed today and not any of the other apps so that I can remove or update them. They appear to be on my Storm and function, but not in that list. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled after a reboot and still only those 2 files show.
What can I do to fix my first BB that I now seem to have broken?
Thanks in advance,
A new and worried user.

  • My applications folder is suddenly empty, what happened and how do I fix it?

I was moving things around on my desktop and folders and now my applications folder is empty. All programs are still working, but I can't see any of them. What happened and how do I fix it? I'd greatly appreciate the help!

Click the Spotlight magnifying glass icon top right in your screen then type in the name of an application.
Hopefully it will show where it is.

  • Permission repair been running for almost 2 days now? What happens if i stop it? What to do? Please help. Thanks in advance.

My imac wont start up after it asked me to restart the system. Prior to that, a message showed saying i dont have enough space on my start up disk. Now after i restart, it wont go pass the gray screen at start up with the apple logo. I restarted it several times, unplugged power from wall and still wont go pass the gray screen. I am now start up with the installation disk that came with imac and running permission repair( read it from other posts). Permission repair says 8 min till completion and its been running for 2 days now. What else can i do? What happens if i end permission repair and do repair disk? Will disk help solve my start up problem? Please help :( Thanks in advance...

You shouldn't be running Permissions repair booted from the install disc, in the first place. Stop it, shut down and Safe Boot. Hold Shift key down at startup chime. Give it longer to boot than usual. If you can get it to boot up, you must delete some things to make room. Likely candidates are in your home folder, music, movies, documents, pictures. The Safe Boot will, if possible, repair your drive.
If you don't want to lose them completely, you need to move them to an external drive. You should maintain at least 15-20% free of drive capacity.
You will likely have introduced real errors by repairing Permissions booted from the install DVD. You can fix them by running Permissions repair if and when you are in Safe Boot.

  • Help!! Updated Itunes .. now look what happened!

I updated to 7.0 and when I connected my Ipod it started to update my songs then it stopped and wouldn't recognize the Ipod, so now I'm missing alot of song. Said go to the Summary tab of the Ipod and restore the Ipod. Well, there is no Summary tab because its not recognizing it! I think my name of the Ipod is Podcasts( for some reason) and it would'nt recoginzie that name. So I went to Ipod Update( Not Itunes, in Programs) to restore only to find out the it doesnt work anymore and I have to update through Itunes 7.0!! I then removed my Itunes and reinstalled it.Still the same problem. Do Not Disconnect was always on but I had to unplug it that way. Now the Apple on the Ipod is on and I can hear it running then it flashes off then back on. And how come if I uninstalled the Itunes it pulled my songs back up from the previous version? I was willing to start fresh with everything. Stressing me out!! What do I do??

    hello Illinois!
I can't open itunes, it tells me that I need to have quicktime 7.0.3. which I do.
hmmm. is that message saying that you have 7.0d0 installed?
if so, what we're going to try is a careful standalone QT 7.0.4 install. (that's the version of QT which you are supposed to be getting in an itunes 6.0.2.23, 6.0.3.5 or, as of this afternoon, an itunes 6.0.4.2 installer bundle.)
download and save the QT 7.0.4 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
    Quicktime 7.0.4 Standalone Installer
if the standalone QT install goes through okay, will your itunes launch properly?
    love, b

  • What happened ??? I did the "there are updates for your computer" & now...

I have a macbook pro I bought 5 mos. ago.... yesterday when I went to shut down my computer I get a pop up thing that says there are updates for my computer and that I would need to restart it when I'm done or something like that... so I did it, and now...... my computer is slower, and everytime you got to load a new page, the address in the address bar has this blue highlight that scrolls from left to right as the page is slowly loading.... what happened?????

I disagree with the recommendation to try Chrome.Since the last Chrome update I am experiencing the same issues you are.I have also tried Opera which is fairly fast but extremely buggy in my experience.I have used Firefox but dislike it for the same reason I disliked IE.............toolbars!And I want to see more of the page than it displays. My Dad swears by Safari but I find the interface to be less user friendly than either Chrome or Opera.I must confess that I have all 4 of these browsers on my late-2008 MBP and use each one in different situations based on my needs at the time.Try them all and decide which is right for you.The best choices are made with hands-on experience.

  • Moved to a new computer running windows 7. what happened to the bookmark sidebar? how do I get it back? How do I move my bookmarks from old computer to new computer?

new computer, loaded Firefox 4. What happened to bookmark sidebar? How do I get it back? How do I move my bookmarks from old computer to new computer?
old computer is offline, so if I have to make a copy of something hopefully it can be done offline.
Don't really understand why windows 7 renders Firefox so different that XP. Will change, but really like the old feel.

  • What happened to NetInfo Manager?

The last troubleshooting caldron to OS9 (ie., dragging & dropping between users or the ability manipulate the system without permission issues-[or anything for that matter]) was the NetInfo Manager (via logging in as Root). A VERY powerful (and perhaps dangerous) tool for those who don't like or feel proficient with the terminal. What happened to the NetInfo Manager- where did it go?How can I login as the Root now?

What happened to the NetInfo Manager- where did it go?
The NetInfo Manager was removed in Mac OS X 10.5, as the NetInfo database is no longer used.
How can I login as the Root now?
Use the Directory Utility. If you need more control, download and install the Server Admin Tools and use the Workgroup Manager, supplying 127.0.0.1 as the IP and your regular username and password.

  • MacBook Pro won't load CD/ DVD! what to do!?

my mac wont load any disks anymore! there is no disk inside but still wont accept.. please help

This happened to me recently. I knew there wasnt a cd in the drive but it would only insert half way. I read about resetting various things but none of those tricks worked. So I will tell you what I did....but I am certainly not recommending it unless you are somewhat mechanically inclined.
The problem is that there is a pin that helps to eject the cd from the drive. Occasionally it becomes out of sync with the mechanism that helps load/eject cds. What happens is when the cd is being ejected, the pin on the top pushes the cd out...but it stops halfway and doesnt continue to the top of the drive where its out of the way the next time you put a cd in.
So thinking I could manually push the pin back into place, I opened up the back of the Mac, removed the cable from the dvd drive and took it out. After removing the screws and having a good look around and pushing a few things gently...I gave up. I knew the gears were out of sync but I didnt have the expertise to go any more than what I had done. So I put the whole thing back and restarted it. When it restarted I could hear the drive suddenly do something. Sure enough, it went back into place. Works fine. I'm not saying you should go through all that. My guess is that all I really needed to do was disconnect the cd drive and then connect it again and restart. Like I said, I'm not an expert and probably some people might tell you its not a good idea to do what I did. I'm just saying that it worked for me.

  • What happens after the year of subscription?

I'm thinking about getting the student version of CC. My question now is, what happens after the year of subscription? Will I get any software that is able to open or even alter the my files? Someone told me that I'll get a copy of CS6. Is that correct?

    No, not correct.
When you cancel your subscription, or allow it to expire, your subscription software will stop working until you re-start your membership and start paying the monthly fee again.
You pay, you use. Stop paying, software stops working.

Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?
Is your phone still charging using the adapter or if you connect to the computer?
If yes, charge for at least 10 minutes before you connect in recovery mode, shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.
