How do I resolve this?

I got the solution to the problem here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4778186#4778186
"If you can please try downloading a trial of the software from our trial download page - http://www.adobe.com/downloads/?promoid=JZEFS.  Once downloaded you can then try the installation to see if you are successful."
Now everything works OK.

  • Adobe application manager is giving me a download error

Whenever I try to download a free trial, I get this error for no apparent reason. I've tried downloading AfterEffects, then Lightroom to see if it was only AfterEffects that had the issue, and that didn't work either.

The same happens with me, using a x64 Win7 Pro.
I think there might be a problem with Adobe application, cause you're using a Mac plataform and I'm using a Microsoft and both has the same problem.

  • Adobe Application Manager says Lightroom is installed. Its not.

I have been migrating my apps to a new drive and now I cant install Lightroom couse Adobe Application Manager says Lightroom is installed allready. What to do???

We have to Re-name the OOBE folder and so we will be able to install the software from AAM, once it is installed we can undo the OOBE folder.
    Mac HD> Application support > Adobe> OOBE
    For 32 bit :  C:\Program Files > Common Files > Adobe\ OOBE
    For 64 bit: C:\Program Files( X 86) > Common Files > Adobe\ OOBE
You can re-name the OOBE folder as OOBE.old.
Note: Please don't forget the Re-name the OOBE.old as OOBE once the software is installed.

  • Application Manager Preferences requires an "Install Location"

Application Manager Preferences requires an "Install Location". Is the "Location" for the Application Manager itself or for the programs it installs? My Win 7 64 bit OS has two separate program files locations for 64 bit and x86 programs. Which do I use?

I await your instructions, but if it involves getting "under the hood" with the database settings, I'd rather not. Really this situation should not even be allowed to occur in the first place. If there was any explanation as to what the "location" field means in the UI, then obviously most peaople would leave it well alone unless they know what they are doing. As it is it just looks like a blank field which is REQUIRED to be filled. The developers NEED to get on to this quickly and sort it out! It is a VERY shoddy UI design. And as a result there is now a need for a reset option, also required urgently.

  • Application Manager Says Acrobat is Installed But it Isn't

I had to uninstall acrobat since it wouldn't start, some kind of incorect license message.  It may have been installed, in fact it probably was originally installed from a disk I had. I assumed I would simply be able to re-install the creative cloud version from application manager but application manager insists it's installed.  It ain't.  This is after multiple reboots. Any ideas?
    Eric

    Hi Eric,
You might try to uninstall the previous installation:
Uninstall Acrobat X in Mac OS®
In Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers, select the Acrobat X Uninstaller and double-click it.
Follow the onscreen instructions to uninstall Acrobat.
In the Authenticate dialog box, type the user name and password for an administrator account and click OK.
Note: The uninstaller removes only Adobe Acrobat X files from the system.  It does not remove Adobe Reader files, Acrobat user data, or files that are shared with other Adobe applications.
(Optional) Move any Adobe PDF Settings files that you created from the Library/Application Support/Adobe PDF folder and drag the folder to the Trash.
    Uninstall Acrobat X in Windows®
Open Control Panel > Programs and Features (Vista/Win 7) or Add/Remove Programs (XP)
Find the entry for Acrobat X, select it
Click Uninstall and follow the on screen instructions
Note: be sure to check the list again after uninstallation to ensure the Acrobat components are removed
After uninstall try reinstalling Acrobat X from within the Adobe Applictaion Manger

  • Cannot Install Creative cloud OR Adobe Application Manager on brand new install of Windows 7 64bit

Here is where I've been today...
I started out this process formatting my C drive (a 120gb SSD),
then I reinstalled windows 7 64bit  from scratch
then I ran ALL of the updates "Windows Update" suggessted
    then I installed google chrome
then I logged into creative cloud and whent to the download center and I think I clicked on like Adobe Acrobat XI pro or I might have clicked on the actual "Creative Cloud" download
then I opened the installer and it got to about here:
And then it popped up with this "Sorry, there seems to be a problem with the download process (Error code: A12E5). For troubleshooting tips, please visit our customer support page.":
Then I I tried what I thought was the next best second option.... I downloaded the Adobe Application Manager ("ApplicationManager7.0_all"). After the successful download of said installer
Then I ran the installer and told it to unpack it's gear on my desktop. It sort of did, but before it was done it gave me this error: "a problem occurred while extracting some files. check available space on your computer and write privileges on destination folder":
Then I tried to run the akward result of the "failed" extraction (see pic below):
Which just so happened to have a healthy looking setup file in it:
So naturally I ran the setup file and got this error "we've encountered the following issues installer failed to initialize. please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem" which gave me two options "Get Support Advisor" or "quit":
Guess what I did next... I clicked "Get Support advisor"
Downloaded the windows version... install seemed to go alright and then after this I ran the software package and sure enough I found out that the system is doing great no errors were found!~ Sweet! "inspection could not identify any issues. Please contact Adobe Support for further Assistance." and as it sugessted Iwent over to http://www.adobe.com/support/ and poked around for quite a while and gave up
A diffrent thread (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/a12e1-error-downloading-creative-cloud.html) seemed to suggest that it was the downloading of the installer that was causing the issue. So I tried downloading the installer from every possible source that I can find... Mozilla, Chrome, Internet Explorer "IE" 11, I searched despratly for a way to turn off the "Download manager" and all of this has been to no avail!
I tried a few other things which I cannot recall (I think one of them was downloading it through mozilla which had a little more promise.) and I think I also tried what was suggested in this thread: "http://forums.adobe.com/message/5386547"
Here is a quote from that thread:

    Report
Hi Shawn, Are you on MAC or Win ?
    Try this :
Rename OOBE folder to OOBE_old located :
    Win 7 64 bit  : C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\
    Win 7 32 bit : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe
    MAC:  Macintosh HD/Library/Applciation support/Adobe/
Delete opm.db file located at :
    Win  7 :C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    MAC : ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Then try to install AAM again, it should install without any issues.
This process was what I THINK what produced the "Adobe Application Manager" Icon on my desktop!
    which I then clicked hopefully!
It then began to update "OH BOY!!!"
Then I was greated with the still stark reality that I was wrong to have silly hopes... and it coldly told my boyish heart "We encountered the following issues: Sorry, there seems to be a problem with the download process (Error Code: A12E5). For troubleshooting tips, please visit our customer support page."
I've tried just about everything I know how to try... I need this software up an running or my job is on the line YIKES!
Please help! God bless you for doing so!

    >a 120gb SSD
Your 1st message also said "check available space"
I don't use SSD drives, but my C drive has Win7 64bit Pro + CS5 Master Collection + MS Office Pro + "misc" small programs and files + all my MS Office documents in My Documents folder... and I use 71Gig
Your 120Gig SSD should be plenty large... EXCEPT... I have NO IDEA how much space is used for temporary files during download + install
Otherwise, you may need to contact Adobe chat... Next link has a "Chat Now" button near the bottom

  • Acrobat XI Pro - can't re-install/download after uninstalling due to login problem

I have had CS6 via Creative Cloud for a few months now and the last couple of days when I've opened Acrobat XI Pro it says it's installed on another machine and I need to log in. I log in and it says it's a mis-matched ID, even though it's not.
This is a work computer/licence and is only installed on this machine under my name. We thought it may be confused because we've got a few licences and there was a big confusion and muck up with Adobe when we first ordered and downloaded, and my boss is using his on his work and home computers. So I uninstalled Acrobat and thought I would be able to just go to the Application Manager and download/install again, but it's not available to download, I guess it thinks I've already got it. Can't do it via https://creative.adobe.com/apps either.
I have no problems like this with the other programs; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
How can I get Acrobat again?
    Thanks

A restore won't get rid of the problem!!! **** crappy ****.
Is there anyway to send this question too Apple? Or do i have to spend the next hours on the phone with Apple Support?!

  • Adobe application manager fails to update/install

Please help me resolve this error and update App Manger properly.
I have downloaded and am running Creative Cloud CS6 versions of Illustrator and Photoshop that I installed back in Decmember.  Now I'm trying to download more applications and am encountering this error:
I click 'download' on InDesign (for example)
Download initiates launch of Application manager, App manager opens main window then "initializing installer window"
Application manager flashes this warning for a split second: "other instances of adobe application manager are currently running which must be closed before installing this product. Please close or wait for them to complete." (see image). This warning closes on its own after just a second.
Then it continues to install for a few minutes, asks for my password then fails with the message, "We've encountered the following issues, Adobe Application manager failed to install" (no error number, see image)
Photoshop and Illustrator still run fine, but none of my Adobe apps (including Air) will update properly now. I have tried deleting the App Manger files from applications > utilities and re-installing, but that also creates an error.
I have searched for duplicate app manager files but have come up empty.  I've run the support advisor app and it checks out fine.  I have a token from that if it helps.
I'm running iMac 10.6.8 and I also have CS5 installed on this computer if it makes a difference.
Any help would be appreciated.   I'd like to be able to run the apps I'm currently paying a monthly fee for.

I'm going to write this information cause it was so darn frustrating and after two days I finally got it - so here goes - resolution:
I'm running windows 7, and was trying to download cloud which apparently I was forced to do based on my subscription base (was on CS6 before that)
Step 1: start task manager and close ALL adobe running apps including akami session
Step 2: click on the windows icon and type in search bar %appdata%, enter
Step 3: in browser bar above of folder, click on "appdata" (my file directory when i typed step two was C:\Users\study\AppData\Roaming, and I need to be be at C:\Users\study\AppData)
Step 4: Click Local, then Adobe, then oobe, delete the oobe file
Step 5: Go the the following to download the "cleaner tool": http://download.macromedia.com/pub/creativecloud/cleanertool/win/Adobe_Creative_Cloud_Clea ner_Tool.zip
Step 6: Unzip the file and click on the AdobeCreativeSuiteCleanerTool.exe, that was in my directory as follows (dependent on where you download and unzip of course) C:\Users\study\Downloads\adobe_creative_suite_cleaner_tool (1)\win
Step 7: select (e) in the black box for "english", select (y) for yes, select creative cloud (whichever option # that is) and again anything with creative cloud (this did NOT delete my other adobe files, which I feared may - but I was simply instructing it to clean/delete the creative cloud.
Step 8: close the black window
Step 9: Click here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773  and download the creative cloud adobe application manager
    Step 10: Run the application
Step 11: Log in and download the software you want
If that doesn't work, what I did is between steps 4 and 5 I restarted my computer, then I went into task manager and closed all adobe apps.  I'm not sure I had to do this step but I was desperate after 2 days doing whatever.  Each tech person gave me different information.  The last person helped me best, but I spoke with her via chat AFTER I had rebooted the computer.  If you need support click http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html and I personally did the "chat" so I wouldn't have to wait.
Hope this helps anyone who hasn't figured it out!
