Application manager has failed to install

This might be caused due to the interference of some program running at the background.

  • Re: Adobe Application Manager download

    Hi,
I have recently subscribed to this creative cloud and have been trying to download some of the applications.  However, I get as far as the Application Manager download and it gets nearly half way through according to the download bar and then tells me that there is a problem with the remote server responding in the proper manner, I have tried several times, at different times of the day since I subscribed last Friday.
    Does anybody have any ideas?
    Ta.

    Hi Ta,
Did you ever get it fixed? Might test in a different browser?
Are you on Windows or Mac? What browser are you using?

  • Application Manager download link is down

Hi Adobe folks, the Application Manager download link is down.
It's trying to pull it from:
    http://ffc-crawler.oobesaas.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/EDGE/0_11/osx10/AAMmetadataLS17/AdobeA pplicationManager.dmg
    The browser says:
Oops! Google Chrome could not find ffc-crawler.oobesaas.adobe.com

@AdamsonB - Glad to hear the workaround worked.
A fix is in progress, but it is on the server side so clearing your local cache will not fix it. When fixed the urls on the Creative Cloud Apps page https://creative.adobe.com should start with http://ccmdl.adobe.com instead of https://ffc-crawler.oobesaas.adobe.com. This is only if you do not have the Adobe Application Manager already installed in which case you should see links like aam://SAPCode=PHSP.

I receive a message when trying to open Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, etc., then when I try to follow the directions for troubleshooting, the installer fails to initialize.

Then, after download, the program fails to load and displays this message:  "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem". When following the link, Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued 'because their products are now so stable. -I can see how stable they are.. How do I get assistance with Installer issues?

  • Adobe Application Manager Download Error (and other problems)

Last week I purchased a Creative Cloud membership (Student and Teacher Edition, if that matters at  all).  When I tried to download applications, the Adobe Application Manager seemed to be unable to connect and instead displayed "Download Error. Press Retry to try again or contact customer support."  I read some of the responses to this problem on the forums, and after trying several things, I got it to work (I'm honestly not sure what I did that caused it to work).  However, it is now failing to work again and I can't seem to fix it this time.  As an additional problem, When I tried to open Adobe Premiere Pro (which I managed to download when I got the App Manager working for a while), I got the opening screen that asked me to open a project or start a new project.  No matter what I clicked on, Premiere Pro closed with an error message. Just as with the App Manager (and at the same time), I managed to get Premiere Pro to work (it seemed to work after I set permissions so I thought I solved it), so I was able to use it for a day.  However, now the problem has returned.
I don't know if these two problems are related, but they started working at the same time and stopped working at the same time, so I'm posting them together in case there is a connection.  I am running Windows Vista on my home computer.  I can sign on to the creative cloud online without problem so it recognizes me as a creative cloud subscriber.  My Internet connection is working fine.  I have disabled all firewalls and it still doesn't work.  Very frustrating, obviously.
Thanks for your time and any help or suggestions you can give.
    - KP

Kardypaine for your Internet configuration difficulties I would recommend reviewing Sign in or activation errors | CS6, CS5.5 Subscriptions, CS6 Perpetual - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html.
For the failure of Premiere Pro to open you will want to review the install log to see if you received an installation error.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation logs at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • Application Manager Download Error

I downloaded and installed the Adobe Application Manager and it worked finr the first time, but upon subsequent tries it fails to open correctly. I contacted support and they worked through the problem, having me change a few names on some associated program files on my hard drive and downloading it again. This allowed it to work properly but only the first time i opened it. It is again giving me the "Download Error - Contact Support". Surely there is a way to resolve this without having to rename files and redownload everytime.
Any help is greatly appreciated. This is on Windows 7.
    Daniel.

  • Adobe Application Manager - Always Failing

I have CS5 Extended and CS6 Extended, but - what they call
"Adobe Application Manager"  (and i must call rubbish) - always fails
to install any updates after downloading them.
I have tried few times, and would suggest to Adobe: to stop being
embarrassed this way, and re-write the manager that really does the job.
It's clear that this "manager" part of so great CS software now is:
    undoing all that good.
And - it's constantly giving you the warnings as this - not even true to what is going on
(in this case i am NOT running the manager already, and here is one of many wrong warnings,
before it fails to install any updates (again and again) - this is just one sample i've made today:
    Michael.
    =============

    1. You can open your Finder and navigate to Extension Manager CS6( "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS6" ), and drag it to Trash.
    2. Then download and install Extension Manager 6.0.4 full installer from
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/dw_exchange/extension_manager/mac/A dobeExtensionManager6.0.4All.dmg
    3. After that, ignore the update message that "Extension Manager 6.0.4 is available".
    Try installing the updates.
also uninstall & re install the adobe application manager.
    try updating the program.
If still doesnt help then download & install the updates manually.

  • Application Manager: Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file (Mac)

I would like to install the trial version of Creative Suite 6. I was able to download the .dmg file, but when I run the installation I keep getting the following message:
Installation Failed. Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file.
    More troubleshooting tips:
    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Exit all applications including startup items, virus checking and firewall software.
    3. Launch the installer and reinstall your applications.
I downloaded the Adobe Download Assistant program, Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, Adobe Support Advisor, and a recent version of the Application Manager. Yet I keep getting the same error message. I downloaded the program twice already. Nothing seems to be working. Can someone please help me solve this problem?

Thank you for replying Mylenium. I found a list of system requirements: http://www.creativebloq.com/general/adobe-cs6-system-requirements-1233361
The following is some information about my Mac's:
    MacBook
Mac OS X v10.6.8 Snow Leaopard
    Itel Core Duo (32-Bit)
    1GB of RAM
    iMac
Mac OS X v10.6.8 Snow Leaopard
    Itel Core Duo (32-Bit)
    2GB of RAM
I have old computers but they still work just fine. I assume I won't be able to install CS6 in my MacBook, but could I install it in my iMac? Is Firefox browser okay?
It's disappointing that nowadays we constantly need to purchase new devices to correspond with new software when older devices still work just fine.

  • Application Manager Updates Fail

Seen the new features in Photoshop CC and want to ipdate. All updates in Application Manager fail. Is that because the CC Connection isn't working either?

Jumped the gun on CC, sorry.
Starts to download then says: "Update failed." Updating through applications has issues too. Get a message that the updates are complete, then reads "Some of the components of the following products could not be updated successfully" and lists all the programs it was supposed to update.
Get a flashing alert that says: "Unable to sync file(s) Click to view online help." Which inturn says Cloud is ofline for upgrades. But that's it. Turn off the alert per instructions. Pretty sure I don't have anyting stored on the Cloud, so not really an issue. When't is coming back?

  • Adobe Application Manager installer failed to initialize

    hello ~
After upgrading to CS5.5 i realize the application manager is missing and is needed for all auto updating. I downloaded Application Managger 2.0 but it won't install. Every time i try to install and get error message "Installer failed to intitialize." This is very frustrating.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After trying to uninstall my CS5.5, and this is what i conclude: Adobe has been in the software business over 20 years, and i'm astounded the software engineers didn't get this one part right
Apparently Cleaner app didn't really "clean" out all the CS files from my drive because after re-installation, Adobe App Manager is still missing or not working correctly. So I tried using the Uninstaller (part of CS), and that didn't work either because the error message says it needs AMM to run!
CS5.5 needs AMM to for self updating. AMM is not working because it needs re-installing. Uninstall app itself doesn't work because it needs AMM to run. The interdependcy of the CS apps is resulted in loop of problems that you can't get out of. This is just plain ridiculous.
Any product manager here can figure this out?

  • Application Manager - Update Failed (U44M1P20)

I'm having a hard time finding any details on this error code. The application manager (Mac version) downloads the update and then attempts to install the update only to show "Update Failed" when it reaches 100% completion. Has anyone else encountered this, is this a known issue, how do I update applications in the meantime? If it's any help the entry in the system log reads "executing /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager/CCM/../DECore/Setup.app/Contents/MacOS/Setup" right before the status reads "Update Failed".

I would suggest to update Adobe Application manager from
    Windows : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
    MAC: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
then try to install the update
If still you are not able to update software and getting same error then uninstall all the Adobe software selecting remove prefernces and Clean the remnants using Adobe CS cleaner tool.
Adobe CS Cleaner tool can be downloaded from : http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
Now install the software again and try to update.

  • Application Manager - Installation failed

Adobe Application Manager Starts, then states that it's initializing, then it says that it's updating.  Then it says that Installation failed.
I downloaded Adobe Support Advisor, and it shows that everything is okay.
I've had Adobe Cloud for a couple months and everything was working fine until recently.
I am using Windows Vista 64bit
This is killing me because I need to download Adobe Audition to finish a project deadline. Any help would be awesome!

If you can't find the solution then you could try downloading the installer file from these links:
    For Windows:
    https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
    For MACs:
    https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
Save the file on your desktop and using an Administrator account (or user with Administrator rights) double-click on the downloaded file to install it on your machine.
    Good luck.
